I had to order drip pans from amazon because I wanted black and needed one large and three small, walmart this not carry this combination.

I need to clean out my cabinets to and discard old things.

I prefer the black ones, too. I bought the 4 pk at Walmart. I needed 2 large and two small. I don't have a lot of kitchen cabinets. All I have are those beneath my limited countertop space. The rest are open shelves from ceiling to floor along one wall. My stainless steel pots and pans hang from a ceiling rack, and all my cast iron cookware is displayed on a wall in the kitchen.

I love peg board in the kitchen. One of my ex's is from Boston and had friends that lived in New Orleans, I think they went to Rutgers together. Anyway this couple had a wall in their small kitchen with peg board. Its so handy in a small kitchen. I live in an older mobile home and the ceilings are not high enough for a ceiling rack, so its pegboard. I only have one underneath kitchen cabinet, it where DH wanted to put a dishwasher, but I wanted the cabinet space. I have regretted it for years. It would be so handy to wash canning jars in. That ex and use to refer to them as as the right Rydbergs. They eventually moved back to NJ where he is from, she's a native of New Orleans. Last I heard from them she is a woke lunatic. He's more mild mannered.

We have strong storms moving in this afternoon and overnight with possible tornadoes.

I'm not feeling well at all, today. I think all the stress is causing the Lupus/Sjogren's Syndrome to flare up big time. I may have to call my Rheumatologist.

Sherree I sure hope you get to feeling better, praying for you. We were supposed to get a lot of rain early this morning through the day, but so far not a drop. It's gray looking outside, I started to say it was ugly, but the would not be appreciating Go's gifts to us. Sure makes me appreciate a sunny day.

The organizing is slowing down, but still getting things done each day. I went out to DH's workshop for a soda and took a bucket of beads with me and left it on the stoop. Right before dark I set it inside so it wouldn't get rained on. This morning DH took it to the cabin and put it away. I didn't mean for him to do that but that's just how he is.

Got a grocery flyer this morning, its the only one we get. There some things on sale, including wine. Oh my goodness, $10 for a bottle of wine and that was the sale price, I'm sure glad I don't drink it any more. I can't remember the brand of the wine I use to drink in the the late 60's early 70's, but it was very popular among the young people cause it was cheap and had a kick. I also bought wine by the gallon, LOL, very cheap. Obviously not a person with good taste in wine, I was more interested in the good time I had when drinking it. It was a shock to me when I learned I could have a good time without a drink in my hand.

From the looks of my radar, Judy, the rain is just to your west. It's not supposed to reach us, until later this afternoon. We'll see, though. I hope the bad stuff plays out, before it gets here, since we have to be out in it later, today.

We have one glass of red wine every night while relaxing watching TV before bedtime. It helps me to relax and has added health benefits. We like A good Cabernet Sauvignon. It's full bodied and is a dry red wine by Woodbridge. It makes a nice table wine, too. Grocery store wines are usually lacking in taste, at least to us. Yes, the price of what we buy has gone up $3.00 a bottle.

Thanks for your prayers.

I do agree with you that red wine has good health benefits. And I can't say I don't like it but just got away from drinking it. I live in the Bible belt here and no one that I'm around takes a drink, some are recovered alcoholics. Fortunately that was never an issue for me, although there were alcoholics in my dads family, daddy pickled his liver and died from it at 72. Even that did not dissuade me from taking a drink if I wanted one, just no desire anymore.

most everything is it stock

i have used the ground beef and it is very good

PRO TIP...do not wash the ground beef b4 you heat it up.............it will taste like crap......do you cook raw beef and wash it in water

if you drain the meat b4 you heat it up.........................you wash away ALL taste

best to heat it all up, mix it all up,...................after that you may drain off a little grease,,,,,,,,,,still losing some taste and protein

I JUST ordered a case of
All Natural Ground Beef (14 oz / 24 cans per case) $127.79.....$5.33 EACH ON MY PORCH
THE 28 OZ ,12 CANS PER CASE….$94.00 PLUS SHIPPING OF $23.79=$117.79...$9.82 ON MY PORCH

it looks like keystone has most everything in stock

Chugging away daily. I'm hoping to get to thrift this weekend. I need a new desk chair, or two. One for son's room and probably one for my sewing machine.
I need to go review what seeds I need to order. Does anyone else have plants that are confused? I have daffodils coming up everywhere. They shouldn't be coming up for another month or so. I'm having this internal mental conflict. Do I listen to the plants or the normal yearly pattern? Because that normal yearly pattern appears to have been tossed on its head.

Will someone give me your opinion of keystone ground beef? While we almost exclusively eat venison and I have been known to grind chicken to make sausage!, I am rethinking the whole ground beef thing and wondering if I want to buy already canned or just can some myself. Opinions?

We are doing those winter projects here and getting greenhouse ready for seedlings so I have been scarce but I do usually check in here and there!

Getting a port installed in the morning, and thinking about my garden. I'm hoping to be able to get my rhubarb plant from the old house when the ground thaws, and some buckets of my garden dirt.
Prayers for you. Mine was sore for a while, but other than that, no issues.

Made it to radiation today - the roads were a little sketchy, but SIL did a great job. We were predicted to get 7-13 inches - I think we got around 4-5. DH will take me tomorrow to chemo. I just want to be done. I have 10 more rad sessions and 2 more chemo.

Thanks for your prayers, briches.

I'm not feeling much better, today. Once today is over with, and I can get some rest, maybe I'll begin to feel better. If not, it's a call to my Rheumatologist.

We didn't get any storms last night. It played out, before it got to us. We did get a lot of rain during the night, though.

We have absolutely no plans through the weekend, or into next week. I'm just going to take it easy and rest.

Hugs to All.

I hope everyone that's under the weather feels better soon.
I did quite a few errands earlier in the week and I'd hoped to not have to go back out. Best laid plans and all that... Neighbors chickens are molting, so no eggs. Hubs ate 2 cartons of ice cream and hid the empty boxes because he knows he's not supposed to do that. I don't want to listen to him fuss all weekend, so I will have to go to WM tomorrow. If I'd known earlier, I could just have stopped at the local grocery when I went past there.
I will go to the dump as well, I have to drive right past it. My truck is acting up again and I don't know how much longer it's going to run.
We had another of those 40 degree temperature changes today and I just can't tolerate them. It's 75 degrees, and actually hot enough to go sit in the stock tank if it wasn't so filthy. I need to drag some more deadfall up to the house to cut up for firewood but I don't know if I can.

Philkar, I have never tried their ground beef, but the beef chunks were good. I usually can all of my own meat. Every time I find meat for less than 3 bucks a pound a run a canner load. Those little jars on the shelf are like money in the bank. And now that hubby is recuperating, they have sure saved my energy!
Prayers for all of you.

I know what you mean. I don't can wet food, but I sure do a lot of dry canning. I came across large cans of Keystone beef that I got on sale a couple of years ago. It was about Five dollars and now its upwards to ten. And i certainly have not used it up, it will keep for quite a while and its more for when there is just about nothing else, not for every day use, too expensive.

Last night at church the ladies that did the meal had ham and turkey sandwiches. They had a brand called Kentucky Legend, really tasty. I looked it up on the walmart site and its too expensive for me. Although I might splurge and buy some once and a great while though, but not for regular use. We don't eat sandwiches regularly anyway. The ham would be good for breakfast of ham and eggs, but I'd be stingy with it.

Widows came up in conversation at church and how hard it is. The pastor said that I'd be fine because I'm such a strong willed person. Well, I'm not so sure I agree with him. I've never let myself get so close to someone in the past as I have DH. I pray for the ladies that I know who have lost their loved ones.

As I look around at my almost organized pantry I'm amazed at all we have, and it is like money in the bank.

I hear you on the Kentucky Legend meat. When they slap one of those little red clearance stickers on it, I buy what the budget allows and vac-seal and freeze in small portions. I have never tasted any difference in taste but then I am not hard to please.

Maybe call a local church and see if their youth group group could come help you, and you could feed them a light meal or light snacks and drinks for them.

We're back home from my aunt's memorial service. It was just as beautiful as my uncle's. I didn't feel like going to the luncheon afterwards, so we just came home.

My eyes and finger joints are really hurting, and my mouth/throat is so dry I can hardly swallow anything, even with using the dry mouth lozenges I use all the time. I don't know what Cary will do for supper, tonight. He'll probably make himself a sandwich and have some chips with it. Maybe, I can sip on some chicken broth. It for sure will be an early to bed night.

Prayers going up for all who need them. :rs:

Mostly I was just griping because I don't have the energy to do it.
I have farm kids who will help me but I'm holding off on asking them as long as possible. In the next couple years, I'm going to have to have help whether I want to admit it or not.

I was only supposed to work one or two hours. It turned into 5. And my head was hating me by the end.

Then boss asked how many hours I had for the week. And realized I was an hour over her limit that she had been ignoring. So she decreed that I am not working tomorrow.

I have seeds on the way for early spring planting. I should be able to start them as soon as they arrive.

Sam's Club can do eye exams again. So I'll be getting that done next week. I need to know how far off my current glasses are.

Once freed from work for the week, supposedly, I started getting household stuff done. And I think I'm going to take a very long soak tonight.

Tomorrow will involve running some errands and then coming home to get caught up on yet more housework. And some sewing.

And yesterday I started refreshing my crochet skills. I have a few ideas that crocheting could handle nicely but I haven't done it in a long time.

No, my teeth aren't the problem, now. I've been using hydrogen peroxide as a mouthwash, and it cleared up that problem. They are still sore to chew on, but they aren't hurting anymore.

Sjogren's Syndrome cause inflammation in different glands in my body. Saliva glands and tear ducts are inflamed right now, and it's causing dryness in my eyes, mouth, and throat. I wasn't able to talk this morning when I got up, since my mouth and throat are so dry. Eyes are the same. When they get this dry, they ache and hurt, and I have trouble seeing anything. It also causes Epi Scleritis, which I have going on. Swollen eyelids and eyes are very red and inflamed.

Since the Lupus is also flaring up, it affects my finger joints and bladder, plus a red rash on my face and a lot of fatigue and low grade temp. Fingers are stiff and painful, even to type. So far, my bladder isn't acting up, and I hope it stays that way. The problem I have with my bladder, the Lupus has caused Interstitial Cystitis, inflamed bladder, which is very painful.

I got some good rest last night, even though, I had a bad nightmare where I was killing an intruder with an ax. Today will be another day of rest. I don't feel up to doing much.

Laughing. 7 am message from boss - "Can you work today?"

Yesterday the brain was playing with ideas. I pulled a roll of lightweight yarn and played. This was the result. I've want something like this for garden harvesting but wasn't willing to pay for it. Now I can make some. It's a mix of loom knitting and crochet. I think I'm going to make one more small one. And then do a few midsize ones. That is all one strand.

Suggestions for yarn sources? Right now I'm using inexpensive stuff from Joann's. But when I get to the main projects, I want cotton and wool. Except son's tubes. Those wil likely be the velveteen yarn because of his preferred textures.

Picked up meds today. And a pile of beautiful quilt pieces, fabric, and doilies. Looking forward to digging through all of that.

Had an amazing thing happen yesterday. Went and had the port put in, and when I woke up I felt ten times better than I did going in. Considering I'm slow to come out of anesthesia, that was odd. Felt so good I went home and shoveled snow.

I'd been having a lot of pain in various spots in my chest, I assumed it was left over from the biopsy and having the one side collapsed. All the pain was gone, and I wondered if being out somehow "reset" all that somehow.
It wasn't until evening that I remembered they put an antibiotic in my drip before the surgery.

Had an appointment with my regular doctor today and asked her about it. She called the surgical office to find out what it was and got me a prescription for 10 days of something in the same class.
I had no idea how bad I was feeling until I felt better, it was mental also.

I have learned that if my arthritis flares it is best to just surrender and rest until it is better.

Prayers for all !
I am now being forced to rest. My knee pain reared its ugly head this afternoon and every step I take is very painful and my knee feels like its going to give out, so its back to using a cane. I took an anti inflammatory and a pain pill and it has helped some and I rubbed Diclofenac gel all over it. Darn it, my knee has not bothered me in several weeks. I made a mistake last night and didn't take my knee brace off all night but I don't understand that that could have had something to do with the relapse.

I had been doing so well on increasing my steps, so now I'm back to a few hundred today. But this too shall pass.

Warning! Watch out for flying pigs!!!

I mentioned to DH that Progresso soup usually goes on sale this time of year. DH found a bodacious sale on it. Next thing I know they're bringing bags of cans! The poor cashier ran for a manager when she saw them coming with the cart. The sale said: "unlimited" so they honored it. DH has come a long way from DGI to today!
