Feed it to septic if you have oneI wish I enjoyed sewing. Maybe I'll try again when I am feeling better. Not a good day today...very tired and no appetite.
Was going to make bread, but my yeast is really old (2017l and didn't proof well. I have some that is fresher...will try again tomorrow. Anyone know what I can do with old yeast besides just pitch it?
I ran into Keystone beef (not ground!) when making a Wamart pickup order, 2 pack of large cans for $13.96! We *never* have it at our Walmart, but it's cheaper per pound than the small Great Value cans & they're shipping it for free so I'll take it to add to my other cheap ones from the past. It's on it's way, due to arrive Monday, so looks like the real deal.I know what you mean. I don't can wet food, but I sure do a lot of dry canning. I came across large cans of Keystone beef that I got on sale a couple of years ago. It was about Five dollars and now its upwards to ten. And i certainly have not used it up, it will keep for quite a while and its more for when there is just about nothing else, not for every day use, too expensive.
Last night at church the ladies that did the meal had ham and turkey sandwiches. They had a brand called Kentucky Legend, really tasty. I looked it up on the walmart site and its too expensive for me. Although I might splurge and buy some once and a great while though, but not for regular use. We don't eat sandwiches regularly anyway. The ham would be good for breakfast of ham and eggs, but I'd be stingy with it.
Widows came up in conversation at church and how hard it is. The pastor said that I'd be fine because I'm such a strong willed person. Well, I'm not so sure I agree with him. I've never let myself get so close to someone in the past as I have DH. I pray for the ladies that I know who have lost their loved ones.
As I look around at my almost organized pantry I'm amazed at all we have, and it is like money in the bank.
