It would appear that the/my feeling Portland, Oregon has collapsed into a state of anarchy and is fast devolving into a Lord of the Flies mental state is now backed up by FACTS. This relates to the unceasing violence the first week of July, Year of Our Lord 2020, in which the collapse of civilization in Portland this summer can be shown in black and white, or red I would say.

PORTLAND, Ore. – Police say shootings are up 240% in the first week of July, compared to the same timeframe in July of 2019.
Officers say they've responded to 17 shootings so far this month, compared to five in the beginning of 2019.
In total, one person has been hurt and multiple homes and a vehicle have been hit by bullets.
At one of the houses, several people were gathered for a family barbeque-- including 10 to 15 children.
At another home, the owner said she found her 11-month-old baby putting what she later learned was a bullet casing into her mouth.
Police are investigating the shootings and they're asking anyone with information to come forward.

On July 3, 2020, at 10:39 p.m., East Precinct Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1200 block of Southeast 130th Avenue. Officers arrived and located 11 shell casings, but at the time there was not property damage located. On July 5, Officers received a call about an apartment that had bullet holes in it. Officers responded and located 3 separate apartments with damage consistent with gunfire.
A series of shootings occurred in the City on July 5, 2020 resulting in multiple occupied residences, a vehicle, and an individual who got shot.
At 11:09 a.m., a report of a bullet lodged in a front door of a residence was reported in the 7400 block of Southeast 86th Avenue. It was unclear when this happened due to the loud explosions from fireworks throughout the night. Officers located an expended bullet in the door jamb of the residence. No one was injured.
At 8:39 p.m. North Precinct officers responded to the 5200 block of Northeast 91st Avenue on reports of a male shot.
Officers located the victim who had a leg wound and an Officer applied a tourniquet to stop the bleeding. The victim, an adult male, was transported to a local hospital and his injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening.
Officers have not been able to locate a crime scene and it is unclear where this incident occurred.
Another shooting was reported at 9:00 p.m. and East Precinct officers responded to the 5200 block of Southeast 97th Avenue. Dispatch reported multiple shots were fired at a residence were a family was having a bar-b-que. Officers arrived and learned that multiple people, including 10-15 children, were attending the family gathering. Fortunately, no one was injured.
Multiple houses and a vehicle were struck by gunfire. One homeowner, whose home was struck by the bullets, heard the shots and went outside to see what was going on. When she went back inside, she found her 11 month-old child putting, what she later learned was a spent bullet, into her mouth.
