The chief executive of Walmart said this week that the company may be forced to close down stores or raise prices if a wave of shoplifting continues to buffet the company.
Walmart CEO Doug McMillon told CNBC's Squawk Box that thefts at the company's stores are posing "an issue" that's "higher than what it has historically been."

“We’ve got safety measures, security measures that we’ve put in place by store location," he said. "I think local law enforcement being staffed and being a good partner is part of that equation, and that’s normally how we approach it."
Yet the CEO argued that "a lax approach from prosecutors could impact prices and lead to store closures down the line," according to CNBC.

"If that’s not corrected over time, prices will be higher, and or stores will close,” he argued, though he noted that “it’s really city by city, location by location.
'It’s store managers working with local law enforcement and we’ve got great relationships there for the most part," he said.

I've seen Walgreen's, Aldi, and Wally World all close their Milwaukee stores and move just a mile or two East into Brown Deer WI.

It never made the local news but the scuttlebutt was that the Milwaukee Police became unresponsive to shoplifting calls.

That Brown Deer Wally World now has a minimum of two police calls a day. At least there, the suburban police showed up.

at a Wally World, a POS African male shoplifted,
and then ran out the store.

Local PD was in their squad, when they saw the
POS African running. The POS African had not
seen the LEO, when he ran out of the store.

One of the LEO shouted to the POS African,
and the POS African turned around, and shot at the LEO.

One of the LEO returned fire, striking and making
dead the POS African.

This is how is should happen. As I have stated
over and over on this board, POS Africans(the 98%)
are nothing more than savage feral pavement apes.

There simply are not enough jails and prisons.
A super-max prison should be in every state,
and every county in every state, should have a
maximum security state prison.

A special criminal justice system tax is needed,
to finance the prison system.

You are going to pay for the POS Africans,
one way or another, but you are going to pay.

No state charges
No feliny
They just load up a cart and walk right iut
Some have been observed using calculator so as to not exceed.

most excellent post K . . . we were in the Home Desperate earlier this week - ZERO manned checkouts open. happily left the intended merchandise at the register in the buggy and walked out.

when you give your customers a discount at the register for doing WHAT YOU AS AN EMPLOYER should be providing I'll rethink my position on it all.
