The Great Cat
Pretty warm and muggy here in GA too! No wonder folks are getting sick.

My fake orange is blooming, the pennyroyal is bright green, mushrooms everywhere, plantain, everything going crazy.

Grey Crane landed in our creek on a NE heading, the owls and hawks are pissing each other off, and on and on...

Then Monday down to 26°

WTF OVER?

High of 63 today, low of 44, with clear skies. Totally winter for us here in Los Angeles area of CA.
The Rose Parade should look beautiful tomorrow as we just got over several days of rain. I stopped watching the Rose Parade though because it’s just been awful without Stephanie Edwards and Bob Eubanks hosting it.
We used to live in East Pasadena/Sierra Madre, showed up morning of in 2013 actually stood and watched live where the route turns.

Massive Snowstorm To Ring In New Year For Millions Of Americans

FRIDAY, DEC 31, 2021 - 10:55 AM

AccuWeather meteorologists say that millions of Americans will be ringing in the new year with a massive winter storm that is expected to blanket the Midwest and parts of the Northeast with as much as 18 inches of snow.

As of 0900 ET, winter storm warnings have been posted for the Four Corners region and Central Plains.

High-risk metro areas for accumulating snow include Denver, Kansas City, Deis Monies, Chicago, and Detroit. Some areas could receive between 12-18 inches through New Year's Day.

After the storm, temperatures will slide across the country. The average temperatures for US Lower 48 will begin to dip from 47 degrees Fahrenheit today to 33 degrees Fahrenheit on Jan. 3. Temperatures will oscillate between 40-35 until Jan. 10. Then average temperatures will drive below freezing through Jan. 15.

Meteorologists at private weather forecasting firm BAMWX continue to predict colder weather is set to trend for January.

With snow and cold weather inbound for a large swath of the country, keep an eye on natural gas contracts linked to Henry Hub for possible upside (read more on natural gas trends).

Air conditioner is on right now while I am putting the electric blanket on the bed, because we will need it in just a couple of hours.

I came to Arizona for a warm January. And it got down to freezing last night! It was only for a couple hours , but it was below 32 and I didn't drive all this way to still be cold. Someone needs to fix that thermostat or I'll have to buy some warm clothes.

It's not NYE anymore, but thought you might be enjoying this typical Texas winter, after the freezing weather a couple of days ago... It is going to be about 81F-82F this afternoon around Austin (so the air conditioner is running), but it will be below freezing tonight, about 29F-31F, with a very light snow/ice in the morning (at least in North Austin) and the high tomorrow will be about 37F-38F.
