But, when you find that what you want is the SAME as what your enemies want, something is wrong.

when will you get that its NEITHER you NOR I who want to tear it down; that this is being forced down our collective throats? it's being torn down by those above you. do ANY of the following mean any thing to you:

KLAUS SCHWAB
GREAT RESET
WEF

what you see in the video from which I quoted is the PEOPLES REACTION - PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOTHING LEFT TO LOSE - to what's been forced on them. at some point EVERYONE - including you and all others reading this will be forced to confront the fact that not only is this NOT going to improve on its own but that its coming home to roost - right here in CONUS. if you're still a few chapters back perhaps you'll get it from this angle:

Burn it down and start over is NOT going to make ANYTHING BETTER !

I agree . . . neither is sitting on your ass and continuing into extinction. its quite apparent that there are STILL - even at this late date - people who believe that we will magically escape what's happening all around the globe.

here's a question for YOU aintit . . . when the shit you see in that film - people rebelling against the untenable bullshit they've been unnecessiarily subjected to - is happening in your (town, city, county) WHATEVER . . .

what are YOU going to do?

as are many of us- and she's not that far ahead of me. I'm not trying to be cruel - I'm tired of THE DENIAL that this is coming. although the awareness quotient is getting better it STILL EXISTS. and its existence is a DANGER to not only THAT INDIVIDUAL but the entire family, tribe, community, town, city, county, state, NATION and ultimately, the HUMAN RACE

I certainly DO recognize that I'm not the only one here who believes we're standing at the head waters of the GREAT BATTLE OF GOOD v EVIL - BUT - there are still far too many who DO NOT and even worse WILL NOT

Wow , I just saw films of the "protests"
it was probably a MILLION people removing "consent of the goverened" from those in power! The govt has shut the schools -no money, shut down the sale of gasoline - no gas, shut down, run out of cooking fuel, (28 weeks) only 5 hours of electricity or less a day, food is scarce and priced out of reach of the average citizen, the govt outlawed ALL chemical fertilizers for everyome, immediately cutting garden + commercial food harvests in HALF! The INFLATION has made all who saved their money into fools with now nothing.for their old age. Even monks and Buddists and Christians were in the protests. Medicine is no longer available.
i noticed almost ALL the politicians are MORBIDLY OBESE and almost ALL thr citizens are quite thin. (Like North Korea)
Right...
So, do you believe THEY are right in their actions, or should they continue to starve while their misleaders live the good life? It looks like they have decided that "burning it down to start over" is their only option.

We're VERY close to that point here.

India rejects sending troops to Sri Lanka
July 10, 2022

The High Commission would like to categorically deny speculative reports in sections of media and social media about India sending her troops to Sri Lanka. These reports and such views are also not in keeping with the position of the Government of India.

“Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them” is used in Act II Scene 5 of Twelfth Night.

This quote, out of context, suggests that even if one is at a low social level at this moment in their life, it’s possible to change that.
Some are born great and don’t have to work for it; others work hard and find greatness, while a third group is given the opportunity to be great in a surprising manner. It’s the latter of the three statements that are the most commonly quoted and effective outside the context of the play. It is often used when speaking about heroism in the face of unpredictable danger.

And, to inure thyself to what thou art like to be, cast

She thus advises thee that sighs for thee.
Remember who commended thy yellow stockings and
wished to see thee ever cross-gartered. I say, remember.
Go to, thou art made, if thou desir’st to be so. If
not, let me see thee a steward still, the fellow of
servants, and not worthy to touch Fortune’s fingers.
Farewell. She that would alter services with thee,
After reading this, Malvolio declares that he is going to “be proud,” “read politic authors,” and “baffle Sir Toby.” He adds:
I will wash off gross acquaintance,
I will be point-devise the very man. I do not
now fool myself, to let imagination jade me; for
every reason excites to this, that my lady loves me.
She did commend my yellow stockings of late, she
did praise my leg being cross-gartered, and in this
she manifests herself to my love and, with a kind of
injunction, drives me to these habits of her liking.

Why Did Shakespeare Use this Quote?
Shakespeare used this quote as a joke that Malvolio’s fellow servants played on him. It appears in a letter that encourages him to better himself and continue to act in ways that annoy his mistress, Olivia. The servants chose to play this prank on him after becoming annoyed at his continual efforts to ruin their moments of levity throughout the day. They decide to make him think that Olivia is in love with him.
Maria is the author of the letter, forging it in Olivia’s name. Throughout, he’s told to wear yellow stockings and crossed garters. He should smile all the time and refuse to explain his actions to anyone. These are the things that are going to help him better himself in the world and make Olivia love him even more.
Perhaps the most interesting part of this quote and its surrounding context is the fact that today, “Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them” is taken very seriously. Its context is not common knowledge.

That's the key. The high gas prices are already a problem. Start cutting the a/c in places in the 90s/100s and there will be riots. A lot of people are on the edge at this point.

This is also why I hang out at the lake or river rather than go somewhere like Minneapolis. Country boys rant and shoot at full soda cans but they aren't going to break out my car windows while I'm sitting at a traffic light or pull me from the car and beat me to a pulp.

The WEF is out to collapse countries with their damning policies. Sri Lanka is just the canary in the coal mine...The Netherlands is another...the US is on their list for revamping our food system. And they have obese and diabetic Americans on their list!! They call them a national security risk!! Go figure...

Leave us alone!

They tolerated it, until they didn't. Sri Lanka basically has an unarmed population. It takes balls to go up against the military and the police. Most homes don't have air conditioning, instead they have high ceilings and ceiling fans. No screens on the windows or doors, to make it easier for the slightest breeze to move the interior air.

Power outages are normal in Sri Lanka. It could be a beautiful, blue sky day and the power goes out for 3-4 hours. To me, that was one of the most frustrating things about the country. I shipped over some solar panels and installed a small system for my family there. No idea if it's still functioning, as they're lackadaisical about maintenance over there. The electrical system there is tough on electronics, a UPS is a necessity. It's also a 220-240 volt system, so power adapters are a necessity when using U.S. equipment.

It is interesting that the populace was able to convince the PM and President to resign through non-violent means. On Saturday, when the masses overcame the police/military cordons, no one was killed. There was a curfew in place too, in an attempt to reduce the crowds, but everyone ignored it. The protests were organized via social media, and I was aware of the upcoming major protests for weeks, so the government was aware too. The protestors were in the government office area for months, on a daily basis, and the crowds grew with each day. I wonder how the Biden administration would react if large crowds started to appear at the Capitol and the White House on a daily basis. By large crowds, I'm thinking hundreds of thousands each day. It worked in Sri Lanka!

This country was founded on emotion. They were tired of Britains rule. They were defeated … not by singing Kumbaya … not sitting on their behinds waiting for God to sort it out. If you don’t fight for what’s rightful yours, you deserve nothing.

These people work for us. When … when … was the last time you felt they actually do? Do you like being ruled over? Because that’s what’s happening right now.

I find it interesting that there are actually people who will vociferously condemn the act/concept of others who allow their "emotions" to act out against those who are CLEARLY DOING EVIL - purposely harming them, their families and their nation - yet somehow these same libtard assklowns think its quite correct to allow "their emotions" to act out violently to permit/defend abortion, illegal immigration, reverse racism and the destruction of BLM and ANTIFA

the intolerant preachers of the church of tolerance

I think AS A CITIZEN, since YOU don't HAVE A SOLUTION FOR THE PROBLEMS the nation faces you DON'T have the right to INDISCRIMINATELY just go about killing people randomly and destroying property randomly.

There is NO GOD BLESSED behavior that allows that sort of thing, just because you are unhappy. That is DEMONIC BEHAVIOR!

No. Private companies do.
Actually, that's incorrect. The electricity is administered by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB). The CEB is a government owned and operated utility. They have coal plants and hydroelectric turbines. Some of the hydro plants are privately owned, but the power produced is regulated and billed by the CEB.

Trains are run by the government. Sri Lankan Airlines is also run by the government and there are talks about selling it off to a private enterprise. The Airline is one of the causes of the government's money problems, as it has lost literally billions of dollars in operating costs. The Rajapaska family used the airline as their private charter service, so all trips were billed to the government. A side note, private aircraft are not permitted for civilians, one of the reasons I wouldn't live there.

Buses are both private and public. Buses painted red/maroon are operated by a government agency, while buses painted blue are privately operated. The private buses run the same routes as the public buses, but generally charge less. But the private buses aren't maintained as well. In urban areas it isn't a big deal, as traffic speeds are low, maybe 30 mph. However, I'd think twice when up in the mountains, as I've seen buses broken down on the side of the road, and I would be concerned about the bus brakes. I don't recall seeing guardrails, they mostly used boulders on road shoulders. Road maintenance is suppose to be done by the government, but I've seen a guy pushing a wheelbarrow up the road on a Saturday morning to patch holes. One guy with a shovel and a rake, no flagmen.

Another side note, getting an amateur radio license there is a challenge, as all licensees have to be approved by the Department of Defense. Radio controlled toys, like cars or airplanes require a license. All radio transceiver data, i.e., serial numbers, transmission modes, power output has to be sent to the government prior to radio operation. It was a very paranoid government.

The uprising: on ongoing protests in Sri Lanka
July 11, 2022 00:20 IST
Updated: July 11, 2022 00:56 IST

A formal process should bring in change in Sri Lanka, and not a public uprising

Public wrath is paving the way for momentous changes in Sri Lanka. The ongoing protests against the precipitous fall in the island nation’s economic fortunes have reached a crescendo. President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, whose secretariat was overrun by thousands of people and his official residence occupied by boisterous protesters, and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, whose private residence was set ablaze, have both expressed readiness to resign. Mr. Rajapaksa, the main target of the people’s unbridled anger, has conveyed his willingness to resign on July 13, while Mr. Wickremesinghe is awaiting an alternative all-party government to be ready to take over before he steps down. It is now fairly clear that the people have not been pacified by the formation of a new regime under Mr. Wickremesinghe. The boiling over of public anger on July 9 indicates their utter dissatisfaction with his government’s efforts to address their day-to-day problems. There were questions about Mr. Wickremesinghe’s political legitimacy to hold the office, given that he belongs to a party with no elected representative in the legislature and he himself being a nominee based on its vote percentage. However, despite the arrival of some overseas aid and commencement of a process for an International Monetary Fund (IMF) bailout, there has been no significant relief for the people, especially the poor and the vulnerable.

The next few days are crucial for the country, as it will show whether the political class can rise above its differences and put in place an alternative regime that can steer the country towards economic recovery. Under the country’s Constitution, the Prime Minister and then the Speaker of Parliament are in line to act as President if the highest office falls vacant. The way out seems to be that the current Speaker, Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, takes over as President so that, within 30 days, Parliament can elect a new President by a secret ballot. However, these moves will be contingent on the resignations actually materialising. Any delay in creating conditions for the emergence of an alternative may not go down well with the public, and may lead to more unsavoury incidents. The occupants of the two main offices will have to make their decisions early so that the country’s transition to a stable regime can be easy. It is possible to argue that mere regime change may redound to nobody’s benefit, will achieve nothing more than mollifying the masses for now, and will not ease the economic travails of the people. However, it is always better that a formal process is set in motion to effectuate change than it being left to the exigencies of a public uprising. It will also impart some much-needed political legitimacy to whoever will emerge as President and Prime Minister and steer the country through troubled times. The country cannot afford a fresh election now; nor can it be without a leadership.
