There are indicators that something wicked this way comes today like there were pre-9/11. We, as a people, couldn't connect the dots since our Intel community was not as sophisticated then nor could any of us in America imagine such an evil scenario.I agree, strudel nut.
In my opinion,in the next few days, we(the good guys) may take some hits for our beliefs in free speech. Some violence may have already happened and the gov/toady media are covering it up. As on 9/11, it is not just our troops that are in danger, but also the regular folks, working and living a peaceful life. No one had burned a Koran before 9/11 and they died just as dead.

Lessee here. There are indicators that something wicked this way comes today like there were pre-9/11. We, as a people, couldn't connect the dots since our Intel community was not as sophisticated then nor could any of us in America imagine such an evil scenario.
We didn't think that way. Now, too many of us have gone overboard with the conspiracy theories, missing vital pieces, or become overwhelmed and forget to see the good in our lives--all of which works against us.
Whoever "stickied" this thread, thank you.

Years ago, I lived in a converted apartment in the second floor of a large downtown store /warehouse. On hot days I'd sit out on the ledge to cool off a bit. Calmly called the police while watching some local bad boys prying open the parking meters and gave a play by play until the good guys showed up to catch them. Later that summer, I watched a guy starting to crawl inside a convertable with the top down in preparation of stealing a radio. In a moment of humor, I simply cleared my throat loudly, and the look on his face when he looked up was priceless. As dd can tell you and a couple others here who have done the training the VAST MAJORITY of people do NOT SEE ANYTING ABOVE EYE LEVEL.....
NOBODY LOOKS UP!!!!!
Think about it when you are out walking.....
CONSCIOUSLY LOOK UP.
EVEN AT WORK.....se what color the corners of the ceiling are...I'll bet you haven't seen them in YEARS....

Now I understand the Q'ran burning in Fla has been called off.
We will see if the Muzzys respect that and graciously don't attack. I doubt it. Stay alert!! CHECK.

If your gut gives you the willies about an event, listen to it.Wakey, wakey folks.
19 y/o Somali born male tries to blow up people at a Christmas celebration yesterday.
Heads up, the holidays are here. And we're not just talking situational awareness in the malls [which some avoid by shopping online], but ANY public gathering.
This guy was after families. Learn about car bombs.
I feel the same way about that IKEA store over in Chandler. I've been in it twice, and almost felt panicky. I will never go back.If your gut gives you the willies about an event, listen to it.
DON"T ATTEND!!!
I intend to stay away from big shopping malls and huge sales this season. I got sucked into going to the local Wallyworld, after midnight, on early black Friday by DW. This store was selling TVs for some ridiculously low price and there were people actually camping out in the store!! Back packs everywhere. I had the willies going in and I persuaded DW to simply get what we needed and get out!!! I was happy to leave that parking lot!!
YES! I do the same thing. As a small town pawnbroker, that lives in the country, and has a son in Law Enforcement, I get the latest news of the jail daily and the crimes being committed in our county. (Local media blackout on home invasions if possible)
Last night as I was crossing the drive from the woodshed with a load of firewood for the night, I suddenly noticed I was "scanning" my own front and back yard as I made my way back to the door. I wonder if it was as a result of being informed of the day to day crimes being committed daily in my home town or a sense of forbidding due to the direction our society is traveling. Has it come to that point that we must constantly be aware of our surroundings even in our own yards?![]()
Yes. I was at my dining room table on Sunday morning reading the newspaper, as I do every Sunday. I have a large window. I looked up and outside, and it was very cold and rainy. There was a vagrant standing in my yard, not 15 feet from my door! He was old and very skinny and just standing there, looking at my porch. We got a baseball bat and golf club and called the police, who were there in seconds (extremely small town, police just a block away). They were already on there way because someone down the street had already called about him. So, YES, we must be aware of our surroundings, even in our own yards. As a small town pawnbroker, that lives in the country, and has a son in Law Enforcement, I get the latest news of the jail daily and the crimes being committed in our county. In the rush for remedies following the shooting of Congresswoman Giffords, there are some techniques that can be used without draconian measures.
Situational awareness allows for situational influence and a certain degree of situational control.
One of Rep. Giffords staff was shown discussing his interaction with the alleged shooter immediately prior to the shooting. The words of the staff person show to me that he, the staffer, felt something was wrong(dressed out of place, standoffish manner). There are studies that say that even untrained people can sense when something, someone is wrong. With training, such as Mossad, these senses can be sharpened. Certain types of questions and observation of the responses to questions can be very helpful in preventing an incident. I am not suggesting that 150 million Americans get advance degrees in the psychological arts or be seconded to Mossad for classwork, but rather that some of the Congressional staff be trained and available at such meetings to be a resource to other staffers that have a concern about a person or situation.
Anyone who has had the El Al preflight interview should understand the subject. There is no need to go into specifics here.
