Not the best pic, but I only had my iPad driving this route way out on Kodiak the other day. Chiniak Lake had over 70 swans by my count, when we drove by. Breathtaking number of those gorgeous birds…seems a bit early but they found some open water and seemed pleased with it

My naighbor is a avid fisherman. This is a flathead catfish I think. Some kind of catfish.

I saw that kind of stuff all the time back in north Texas. Lots of times I also saw rattlesnake heads nailed to wooden fence posts too.

Eldest granddaughter Anneka with great grandson Paxton James. Anneka just started a month ago at the state pen (the “Max”) here in town as a Correctional Officer.

This week she started the academy, a 12 week training program that every new correctional employee goes through. I did 5 weeks as an admin back in 2009.

Annie and I watch Paxton every day now…and it’s awesome…he’s a bright little guy, and way ahead of his two years old. I took this about 45m ago. We’ll see him again Monday.

BTW.........that is a Norwegian Forest Cat (NFC) at full speed..............this is a long lean big fast mouser...... there is no fat on this fellow he has on a big furry winter coat that makes him look plump.

For you cat people if it looks like a Mainecoon that is for good reason.......the Mainecoon breed in part came from the ancestry breed of the NFC the Vikings brought over to the new world as a ship mouser.
