First time posting a poll on the new software. I hope it works!

Please give this some thought.

**One of the main contributors to the thread will have to stop posting this week, and another is seriously considering the same. I have offered to post a small part of their content, but I can’t do it all.

Are you still reading the long thread? Do you feel it is still important for people to update it and add content?

Or have you had enough? Are you willing to watch it fall off page one of Main? Are you willing to do a search for new info, rather than just open up the long thread? Are you willing to do research on your own, research that dedicated members have been doing for us for the last six months?

The possible answers to the poll question are yes, no or unsure.

Comments/discussion welcome.

Thank you!

The long thread is overwhelming and I’m not sure how much traction it’s getting. I understand wanting things all in one place but I think several smaller threads on the specific pieces would be better. We are already working in that direction with things tied to vaccines, individual states responses, and Fauci nonsense.

That might work, having separate threads on Fauci, return to school/restrictions, vaccines, treatments, etc.

Perhaps but once the thread gets this big it’s not manageable by anyone. So let’s close it, we still have access to the reference Information if desired. A part 2 may have value as we head into this new phase with flu/cold season coming up.

LOL - Sorry meant deleted my comment - I posted to the wrong thread

My thoughts on the COVID thread - There is no reason to close it - If someone doesnt want to read the thread..then dont click
I stand by my comment, sir. I have my principals. If you don't like them, well, I have others. (the real Groucho said something to that effect)

I say leave it and let it manage itself now. I so appreciate all the hard work of those that contributed early on when there was no info out there. Now that a lot of it is common knowledge, I see no reason for those that have worked so hard to feel obligated to carry it on...they got us over that early scary and unknown time and if they feel something is urgent and needs addressed, a contribution would be most welcome. If we get a second wave, I think a new thread with up to date stuff would be nice but I'm not the boss...nor do I want to be lol. I have to be the boss of more than enough stuff IRL. Thanks again to all y'all that educated and updated us early on. It was comforting to be able to come to "the thread" and find real info...good or bad.

The end times are here.
Daily posting of MSM lies really doesn't serve the TB community very well. They have an agenda to destroy the economy and us. They want for people to be fearful and hopeless. They want for people to forfeit their rights. It's propaganda.
The medical mafia skews the numbers. The MSM reports the false information. That's mostly what's posted on the thread.
IMO people would be better served by focusing on prevention and cures, than trumpeting the problem.

As I said, I haven’t been following recently, but there was usually very little msm news linked on that thread. (Edit to say, that was a good thing) It was VERY informative at the beginning and I’m thankful for the hard work that went into it.

Im just not sure there’s much more to be gained.

I think much of that thread has historic value. We've never experienced anything like this and there is still a long way to go.

However, after all the comments and poll results, I'd be willing to bet no one is going to continue to spend hours posting stuff on it. Lock it or let it die... 6 of one and half dozen of the other.

I didn't look at the thread for many weeks, but went back to take a look on Sunday afternoon. What I saw may not reflect the recent trends there, but it was wall to wall MSM.

Edited to add: I appreciate the effort the contributors have invested in the thread.

Sunday is when all the Sunday news shows air and that’s what Marsh posts. On sundays. Look a little further.

Well I for one can't wait till this virus becomes the Members Only Jacket and Parachute Pants of the virus world. I hope it goes away with 2020.

I used to be on it all day, but I haven't even looked at it in weeks.

Lots of good info there, most likely I'm on burnout with the whole issue.

I read the first 500 posts and recently read backwards through about 80 posts. My comment stands: the thread is too long to be useful. I like the monthly idea. That would keep the posts down to a manageable number for skimming.

Unlike some, I just don't have time to be here reading each day for hours at a time. I try to grab the "news I can use" quickly and move on.

I agree that it's to long to sift through. I will say though, that I appreciate and like the thread, and that being a night owl I check it before going to bed every night. I start at the last post and work my way backward, until I come to the last post that I'd previously read the night before, or I just get tired of reading. I think a monthly thread would be more manageable though. And a great big 'thank you', and a hat tip, to everyone who posts the updates. I really appreciate you! :)

Let it run. Eventually, I hope, it will fade on its own as many other threads have done.

It is very useful to know what the MSM and TPTB want to steer us toward and away from.

How people in other regions and countries are behaving and what various 'Authorities' are doing is also helpful.

I would have no reasonable grasp of this virus situation without this thread and we do not know what useful information it will bring in the future.

I actually like Face the Nation. It has interviews with cabinet members and policy makers. I don't use plug in tv and so it gives me some context for all the verbage that is slung between parties elsewhere (like the Presidential/White House briefings) and status on things like what the FED is doing or the stimulus bill. As a rule, I don't link CNN or MSNBC.

I voted no, the EFFORT should NOT be allowed to die.

I see no reason NOT to do as Housecarl does with the WOW threads, which is links to the previous 3-4-5 editions of the thread in the opening post for each ________________. (He breaks his threads out weekly, COVID could be broken out monthly. UNTIL, of course, we get a new active organism trying to blitz us.)

BTW a belated "Thank you to Marsh for what you have done."

Sorry to hear that Life is getting in the way, but that's why it's LIFE and it comes first.

That’s what I’m thinking too. I’m only aware of ONE member, other than me, who has expressed any interest in picking up some of the slack when Marsh stops posting. So I’m thinking, “Why bother?”

I haven't bothered to read the main corona thread because it's just too big to just drop in, miss a lot of info like that. I'd like to throw out an idea: How about a monthly Corona thread? "August Corona Thread", "September Corona Thread", etc. Easier to reference and see current info.
Great idea, Wiley!

The thread has IMO served its purpose and has been OBE (overtaken by events). Let it go. The Rona is all politics all the time now.
