I'm in same region as Publius. What is this, the 3rd, or 4th day of steady downpour? NWS says 1-2 inches of rain; possbly 3 in some areas - local flooding expected. However, since we're Potomac Highlands... in 48 hrs all this rain is gonna run downhill to Georgetown, in DC. hee hee!

And then we get winds again out here.

We had rain this morning, then it cleared up, then it stormed this afternoon with a tornado on the ground NE of Raleigh, NC around 4:30 EDT. The sun is coming out now, but breezy...

My area had storms in the wee hours Wednesday but what is it with the wind? The skies are clear but the wind has been strong for days rain or shine. Is this to do with the coming eclipse? That might sound like a woo question, but it feels like woo.
