Here is MO for some reason our primary election doesn't count and we will have a caucus in March to award our delegates. Also, Newt supposedly wasn't on our ballots, I spent the day with my dd at the dr so didn't make it back in time to vote and can't confirm that.

I didn't even bother to go vote since your vote didn't count here in Missouri. What a waste of a few million dollars. Sickening!

I think the reason the vote didn't count in Missouri had to do with being penalized by the Republican Party for moving the primary up to an earlier date. Missouri would have lost delegates in the national convention, and somehow it wasn't possible to set the primary back to the previous date, so it had to turned into a mere preference poll. If the various states hadn't gotten into this business of competing with each other to try to be first to select a front runner it wouldn't have happened.

But I voted anyway.

I went ahead and voted anyway. I had to stop and pay the water bill and the polling place was within a stones throw of where I was. I could clearly see the parking lot of the church and there were 3 cars there. When I went in I realized that those cars belonged to the volunteers and I was the only one voting. I have to admit I laughed to myself when I saw that Newty wasn't on the ballot.

Ron Paul all the way! :)

If and when Santorum won, it is by grassroots - not money. But does anyone know how much Romney spent $$$ on these 3 states.
Recall Romney spent 65 ads to one ad against Gingrich in Florida.

Obama spent a Billion $$ in 2008 to buy the election.

Have no idea how much Romney spent; but you can bet it was a bundle. The "others" simply don't have it to spend.

I have a problem with the media saying (constantly) the guy with the most MONEY will take the nomination. WHY?

IMHO it's about time we get somebody in the oval office that can actually IDENTIFY WITH WE THE PEOPLE. It's a shame almost EVERYBODY in DC - Pres- House- Senate can buy the average Joe several times over yet they pretend to know what's "best for us". Do you really think that's true? They have (most) no idea what it's like out here in the trenches, and really don't care. They just want to tell us how to live our lives, what to spend, eat, drive, do for relaxation, and what Dr. we can see when and for what!

It's called CONTROL. The DC crowd just can't seem to get enough of that.

The next month or so will be a critical time for Gingrich. The MSM is focusing hard on Romney (whom they fear) and calling it his defeat but I think money and support for Gingrich could collapse if Santorum continues to place even or ahead of Gingrich.

Romney has enough money and support for the long haul. A huge vacuum is being created for the #2 however.

If and when Romney has a major gaff or revelation the MSM will do everything to take out Romney and that will put the #2 guy out in front.

ONLY Ron Paul and Gingrich satisfy the Natural Born clause because their parents were also born on American soil.....
Not Romney with Mexican Dad or Obama with the Kenya dad.

My dad was born in Italy, and naturalized in 1910. Does this mean that since I was born in UtiCA, NY in 1951, I am NOT a Natural Born Citizen????

THAT POSITION flies in the face of ALL precedents.

Yall need to do a bit more research, since PLACE of birth weighs a LOT more than place of birth of parent.


Now, I'mm willin to be edumacated, but, the cites damn well be to ACTUAL COURT DECISIONS and not blog posts or think piece articles.

The Purity types would say you are not. However, if your Dad was a citizen at the time you were born (having been naturalized) some would say you meet the criteria.

On another thread, I pointed out to the Purity types of the offspring of GI's who brought back foreign wives after WWII and had children before the wives naturalized. The Purity types would argue that they are not 'natural born'. I would watch with amusement seeing them try to make that stick.
