I don’t know, I already see some at TB2000 ready to pull a Lee Greenwood…
Well, I consider this forum like an intelligence test. Some are passing, and some ARE FAILING.

Some of us have been thinking rationally all along but it's been a slog because ..... RUSSIA BAD.What, pray tell, is our national interest in Ukraine?
I an leaning towards the Russians on this one
I think this is exactly it! TPTB are pushing for a war because they know the dollar is circling the toilet bowl. It’s the only way to cover up their massive fraud.Winner, winner- Chicken dinner!!
If Russia wanted to invade Ukraine they would have done so long ago.
This is just such a "Wag The Dog" movie here! I'm sure this will be part of the cover story as to why the central banks will fail.

Sad but most likely true.My thinking when I commented that the current boots on the ground IN Ukraine should be Counter Insurgency Trained was that that training also included SERE training and training in generating an insurgency, which would be a FINE little gift to the new landlords in Ukraine as those guys n gals exfil'd the country en masse but individually, because we're going to re-enact Affy 2.0 with Ukraine.
What, pray tell, is our national interest in Ukraine?

The Ukes have all the dirt on Joey and the gang. Are they willing to do anything to keep it from seeing the light of day?

In an interview on Fox about an hour ago - they said that the US Troops would not be sent to Ukraine. They would only be used in the nearby NATO countries surrounding/bordering Russia. And if things got bad, the US would pull the "trainers" they have in the Ukraine out of the country.

Yep yep and yep!Anything the Ukrainians have the Russians have. They were part of the USSR for many decades and have a lot of ethnic Russians in their military and intel services.
Besides that - despite US and NATO hubris - the Russians have always had superb intel capability. I'm not playing Russian cheerleader here, but am trying to lay out the situation as I see it. If we get into a shooting war with Russia, it will be a bloodbath and you can be sure that the casualties won't be exclusively Russian.
If NATO forces (to include naval, air and space assets) engage the Russians on Ukrainian or Russian soil there is every chance that things will go nuclear. There is a slight chance that initial exchanges will be tactical and limited to military targets (see my postscript below at the end of this post) but there is no guarantee of that, either initially or over the course of a longer conflict.
US (and NATO) foreign policy with regards to Russia has been insane and I use the word "insane" unreservedly. IMHO we are closer to a nuclear war than at any time since the Cuban Missile Crisis. I'm specifically not saying that we'll have a nuclear war, only that we are relatively closer.
Postscript: When most people think of militarily significant targets they tend to think of military bases, missile fields, submarines and other military hardware. Nuclear targets are not limited to such things. My hometown of New Orleans is home to very few military installations, but it would be destroyed as a critically important transportation hub, which also controls the mouth of the Mississippi. Cities that are important transportation or communication hubs would be targeted, as would oil refineries, large pipeline terminals and anything else of potential use to the military. Enemies - even the Russians - have no particular interest in vaporizing Mr. and Mrs. Smith sitting down to dinner. They would just be collateral damage.

Think Uncle Vlad will hit Canada too if nukes fly? It would be nice to get rid of Justin.
We're watching a movie.
