It's very frightening to think that one man, Putin, could start a chain of events leading to war.

Putin is paranoid about his perceived threat of NATO countries combined with his ambition to restore the former boundaries of the Soviet Union.

Millions are suffering as the result. Remember, Russia invaded Ukraine, and not the other way around.

Here's the translated version.

The Russian Foreign Ministry announced Russia's readiness to attack British assets outside Ukraine in response to British attacks from the territory of Ukraine.

On May 6, the British Ambassador to Moscow N. Casey was summoned to the Russian Foreign Ministry , to whom a strong protest was expressed in connection with the recent statement by British Foreign Secretary D. Cameron in an interview with Reuters about Ukraine’s right to strike Russian territory using British weapons.

N. Casey firmly pointed out that D. Cameron's hostile attack directly contradicts the previously sounded assurances of the British side when transferring long-range cruise missiles to the Kiev regime, that under no circumstances would they be used on Russian territory. Thus, the head of the Foreign Office disavowed this position, de facto recognizing his country as a party to the conflict.

The ambassador was told that the Russian side views D. Cameron’s words as evidence of a serious escalation and confirmation of London’s increasing involvement in military operations on the side of Kiev. N. Casey was warned that the response to Ukrainian strikes using British weapons on Russian territory could be any British military facilities and equipment on the territory of Ukraine and beyond its borders.

The Ambassador was called upon to think about the inevitable catastrophic consequences of such hostile steps from London and to immediately refute in the most decisive and unequivocal manner the bellicose provocative statements of the head of the Foreign Office.

Considering how much of Ukraine is considered "Russian" by Putin and has already been on the "receiving end" of Western weapons that threat/promise is pretty much moot.

Putin is RESPONDING to a possible chain of events being pushed by the EU / NATO / US - if they do not escalate beyond what they have done Russia would have no reason for military action against them - he has made this very clear.
However Russia has also made it clear that if they send in EU troops under their national flag - then it is they that have started a new chain of events - Russia would respond.

The Ukraine Mess That Nuland Made

As the Ukrainian army squares off against ultra-right and neo-Nazi militias in the west and violence against ethnic Russians continues in the east, the obvious folly of the Obama administration’s Ukraine policy has come into focus even for many who tried to ignore the facts, or what you might call “the mess that Victoria Nuland made.”

Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs “Toria” Nuland was the “mastermind” behind the Feb. 22, 2014 “regime change” in Ukraine, plotting the overthrow of the democratically elected government of President Viktor Yanukovych while convincing the ever-gullible US mainstream media that the coup wasn’t really a coup but a victory for “democracy.”

Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs Victoria Nuland, who pushed for the Ukraine coup and helped pick the post-coup leaders.

This being the case you'd think Nuland et al from the Obama Admin, as well as that of Biden, would be concerned who served them ice tea....

Last night in Lviv, another successful 3 for 1 missile attack.

The Russian Armed Forces struck an underground gas storage facility and thermal power plant in the Lvov region at night.

“Unfortunately, there are hits in the Stryisky district on the gas infrastructure ,” said the head of the regional administration, Maxim Kozitsky.

We are talking about one of the largest underground gas storage facilities in Europe, which the Kiev regime proposed to Western sponsors to use as a gas hub. The Russian Armed Forces first attacked it in March.

A hit was also reported at the Burshtynska Thermal Power Plant, a key energy facility connecting Western Ukraine with the energy systems of EU countries.

Overnight, a large scale strike was carried out against targets in Ukraine with drones, cruise and ballistic missiles.

The enemy claims that the attacks were carried out on energy infrastructure in the Kharkov, Vinnitsa, Zaporozhye, Ivano-Frankovsk, Kirovograd, Lvov, Kirovograd, Poltava and Kiev regions.

In the Lvov region, attacks were once again carried out on the Bilche-Volitsko-Uhersky underground gas storage facility near the city of Stryi, including a “Kinzhal” that flew there.

This map shows the approximate flight paths of various missiles and drones, as well as their target areas.

Ukrainian Military Attempts to Assassinate Zelensky

As I have warned, Zelensky is seen as a puppet of the West, and they are starting to realize that he is destroying all of Ukraine on orders from the American Neocons. I have been warning that any assassination of Zelensky will come from within. Ukraine has reached the same realization where there was an attempt to assassinate Hitler to save Germany.

I wonder how much of Putin's inner circles' wealth is "touchable" by the UK? Remember SOE had a large representation of the London City banking establishment and that relationship has never atrophied between it and the government.

Creditors demand Zelensky repay debts
7th May 2024
Réseau International

by Elsa Boilly

Unpleasant news for Ukrainian citizens was reported by the American newspaper Wall Street Journal: debts to foreign creditors will have to be repaid. Otherwise, no one will provide funds to the Zelensky regime anymore.

A group of foreign investment companies, including U.S. holders of Ukrainian bonds such as BlackRock and Pimco, plan to force Ukraine to pay interest on the debt as early as next year. That's what reports le WSJ, citing his sources.

The fact is that private holders of Ukrainian sovereign bonds, who own about a fifth of them and who had promised with other sponsors of the Zelensky regime not to demand payments or interest until 2027, are withdrawing and want to be paid now. $20 billion is at stake, and the most eager creditors on the list include investment firm BlackRock and German-owned Pimco.

The group in question recently formed a committee and hired prominent lawyers to “pressure” Ukraine. kyiv is reportedly ready for such a turn, as it plans to appeal to the US and EU governments to help Ukraine negotiate a new debt deadline or restructuring. Otherwise, Ukraine will have to declare a payment default, which would impact all creditors, whether private, national or international, including the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The IMF did not grant Ukraine any debt repayment breaks due to “Russian aggression» and expects 2,9 billion dollars from kyiv this year. It cannot be ruled out that private creditors were inspired by the fund's initiative, as reported by WSJ.

Ukrainian experts see this publication as politics rather than a natural desire of businessmen to get their money back with interest. So they would put pressure on Zelensky to get something bigger. Theories vary, from executive appointments to the ultimate handing over of all of Ukraine's remaining strategic sectors to the Americans.

While one or the other may be plausible, it seems more likely that various creditors are actually determined to recover Ukraine's debts without waiting for another "successful counter-offensive." Which shows their assessment of Ukraine's economic future and governance better than any credit rating.

The question is where kyiv will find these funds, because Zelensky's regime relies exclusively on Western aid. If it were to cease, a payment default would occur, kyiv not having its own resources. As of April 30, Ukraine already had a debt of more than $151 billion, according to statistics of the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance.

According to Ukrainian sources, Ukraine's public debt has long exceeded its GDP, while not only Ukrainian industry but also land is mortgaged to Western companies. The current authorities are selling Ukraine while lining their pockets.

In fact, the withdrawal of funds and assets is already underway. Just before the publication of WSJ, the National Bank of Ukraine announced a maximum relaxation of foreign exchange rules for businessmen and companies, de facto announcing the beginning of uncontrolled capital flight from the country, including in the form of dividends and payments of debts.

Ukraine moves to send convicts to the front line

Bottom of the barrel?

The lawmakers hope a regulated, voluntary process will allow Kyiv to mobilize up to 10,000 convicts for the war. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy must sign the bill before it can take effect.

10,000 about a week or 2 of losses at the current rates.

Drones attacked an oil depot in the village of Yurovka in Russian Krasnodar region, the BBC reports, citing Russian Telegram channels.

Locals say the attack on the Temp oil depot started around 2 am.

According to the operational headquarters of Krasnodar region, about 6 drones were "suppressed", but several fell on the territory of oil depot. As a result, a fire broke out - several tanks were damaged.

The moment one of the drones exploded was caught on video.

I have to wonder about Russian logistical supply points for the front lines? At some point they can't be dispersed. Are their locations being given to the Ukrainians by the US/NATO/EU?

“The EU has reached a deal to seize profits from Russia’s frozen assets to fund weapons and aid for Ukraine within months. EU senior diplomats meeting on Wednesday agreed a compromise on using the estimated €4.4bn windfall profits to aid Ukraine”

EU diplomats agreed Wednesday to use income from frozen Russian state assets to aid Ukraine – paving the way for the war-torn country to get around €3 bn for arms purchases and reconstruction before the summer.

Since the full-scale invasion of 2022, €210 billion in assets of the Moscow central bank have sat frozen within the bloc – chiefly at the Euroclear depositary in Belgium.

The deal was agreed “in principle” at a regular meeting of national representatives, according to a tweet by Belgium, currently chairing talks in the European Council.

SURPRISE - SURPRISE
But Ukrainian ministers have said Brussels needs to go further than merely scooping up interest payments – and fully confiscate Moscow’s assets to ensure the aggressor pays for the cost of war.

Interesting the US got the EU to pull the trigger on this. All this will do is backfire on the European Central Bank - the move will likely have wider implications for the euro’s credibility as a global reserve currency. This will also generate actions by Russia in relation to Western assets under their control - going to be a great payday for lawyers.

That was the plan from the very beginning, Europa's ECB
and Brussel receiving all the blame.
The RoW Global South countries are closely watching because they could be next depending on the ''rules based order'' of Europa.
I'm sure that the Russians have a response waiting in the wings for this action. They have had plenty of time to prepare for it.
And we will see it.

Ex-CIA analyst Larry Johnson:

"Russia is on a roll now. I have already said that I thought their offensive was in full swing. But it turned out to be not what we, in the West, usually imagined as an offensive. Well, there are tanks in a row, someone gives a signal, and everything goes ahead.

But now they are absolutely grinding the Ukrainian army along the entire front line. And Ukrainians have a dilemma — they don't know where to deploy their troops. And wherever they put them, they lack both artillery and air support to hold off the Russians.
All this is coming to an inevitable end.

And I know that many were surprised, even those who predicted Russia's victory, at the speed of these changes. Right now, the Ukrainian front is collapsing in the Donetsk region. And then Russia has a lot of other cards up its sleeve.

And this will give a new impetus. This is the reason for the extreme reaction of the West — they don't know what to do.

And they think that saber rattling, they say, we will send our soldiers there, will stop the Russians. Well, good luck."

I can understand the disappointment of the West with the failure of its project "Ukraine as anti-Russia". But what did Western politicians and the military initially expect when announcing their intention to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia? How did they want to do this, and in general, what is the ultimate goal? Even now they cannot answer these questions, and they are already up to their ears in a war with Russia. They're idiots, what else can you say about them?

The Kremlin releases a video of Putin's meeting with the commanders of the units involved in the special operation, which took place on May 7.

Putin announces the legendary 810th Marines Brigade will now become a DIVISION. This is the unit Red Backpack aka "Struna" is from, which heroically took Mariupol.
