A few observations from my trip to downtown Minneapolis today. Many buildings are boarded up. Some are spray painted with "F*ck 12". All of the municipal ramps say they are full but they aren't. They just don't want anyone parking there. I saw a number of out of state license plates--more than I usually see even though traffic was very light. They included; Georgia, Illinois, Wisconsin (but with a Milwaukee sticker so not from right across the border), Texas. 6th was closed and a very large barricade/piece of machinery was blocking the road.

ETA: I saw the pawn shop still smoldering and there were banners hanging from the overpasses with saying such as, "Say His Name", etc. All of the freeway traffic signs mentioned tonight's curfew. I was out of there before any of today's demonstrations started.

OMG. I had a dream a few years ago with literally nothing in grocery stores, dr.s and dentists offices closed, and me living behind a gated drive in the country,(like I do now) I left driving children west toward safety, only to be bombed from the sky. Sounds similiar, and I agree with u 1000% lol.

The NG was driving through the poorest of neighborhoods, tossing parcels of food out as they passed through. Things were so bad they had to kind of sneak in there and drop the stuff off and stay on the move.

I would imagine if things got that bad cell and internet would be long gone.

I don't know if it was a civil or natural disaster or what but it was bad.

The story involved the assassination of a fictional Black democratic nominee for president in LA and the spontaneous aftermath that spread to many American cities almost instantly including Seattle my hometown. The aftermath is no longer fictional and is currently coming to fruition (!)

With all of the impacts from the lockdowns due to covid 19 and now businesses being ransacked, how many of these businesses ever reopen? How many will move out of the area into the burbs?

This was planned and the stupid young adults and instigators creating the riots.

Time for .gov to end this with whatever means are required.

I've seen nothing to disabuse me of the notion that the whole point is to have as much destruction as possible. It's good optics - for their aims - and spending the blood, brick and treasure of Joe- every- working- man is icing on the chit cake that they're happy to serve us.

Those fences "breached" are the ones at either end of PA av. in front of the WH. That section of the street is blocked to pedestrian traffic only. They're just temporary fences. Those sides of PA av. have barriers sunk 15 feet into the concrete. SS can raise or lower the fence post barriers at will.
The protesters move a few temp barriers. Yawn.NOT a White House being breached moment.
