Keep a box of tissue with you at all times, and spit it out. I have coughed up lots of metallic tasting stuff. For me, it's a sign that the DE is working. This may take time.
I wish I would have had hair analysis and blood tests before starting.

one thing I noticed was my skin. if I would bump my arm I would get a RED/purple bruise and the skin would tear. I've been taking DE for a year and this has stopped. also has helped with the irritable bowel.

Watchin, There is a book called The Eggplant Cancer Cure: A Treatment for Skin Cancer.... and has a treatment that seems to be working for a lot of people. It is much less harsh than the black salve. The book is available on Amazon, along with any information on doing the treatment yourself without the book. I heard of the homemade eggplant treatment a couple of years ago, and even it seemed to help. Good luck in your endeavor.

Thanks, Nina, I'll check it out. There's no doubt that the black salve works, though. I've already taken 7 or 8 off my back & a lot of sunspots off Hubby's face. He says his isn't painful at all, but some of mine really hurt.

When I study any cures, remedies, supplements or anything health related I do go to .gov web sites, wikki, but then i do the bulk of my research overseas. Even using translators. I can give dozens of examples where the government says something is good when it is bad, or when they say it is bad when it is good.

I called my local CENEX feed store here in Gig Harbor Wa, and asked about buying a 50 lb bag of the Perma Gard DE.
They quoted me $50 and when I balked at the price saying, it sells for $28 on Amazon and I HAD JUST CALLED THEIR SUPPLIER and knew they only pay $18 or less for it, he said he'd check and called me back, and he called me back and said it was a computer error and -

After we used so much of it, I decided to order some more, but couldn't find this brand at the time. The only kind I could find that day was http://www.herbhealers.com/store/http-www-altcancer-com-cansema-htm.html (which is shipped from Ecuador). From a lot of research that I've done, it may be a better kind. I just got it yesterday, so I don't know yet.

The 22gr vial is less than a tablespoon, but they have larger sizes. There has been a lot of controversy between the person who originally developed the Amazon kind & the one that makes the other kind. He (the Amazon guy) spent some time in prison (thanks to the FDA) over selling it in the US.

aintfunny - we just opened our 50 lb bag of DE - the two of us hauled it out of our van onto a child's wagon, over to the pavement. Put on our H95 masks and cut the end of the bag.......it is so fine a dust that it doesn't just spill out (kind of like chalk) - you have to shake and help it out. Filled 2 large buckets and tried not to get any on us.......spilled a bunch on the grass which will probably do in all the ants in the vicinity.

Poured some into a quart sealer for daily use and marked the 2 buckets with the name of the product and a "don't touch" sign.......and stored them up high away from the kids. It has the look of flour, so someone could accidentally use it!

Hauled the rest of the bag (only used 1/4 at most) over to the shop in the wagon and stored it by the chicken feed etc. Took off all our clothes which happened to get a bit covered by the powder and left our masks which we shook out in the shop for next use. Washing the clothes now and it only took 15 minutes to do all that.........it was not as smooth and was more messy than we thought to unload into buckets. Drank a glass each and are now sitting waiting for the little beasties to start doing their thing.

Do have masks, you don't want to inhale it.

I started with 1 kitchen measure teaspoon twice a day. (That's less than the average silverware measure amount.) Even at that low dosage, I have been having a "detox" feeling. It's recommended to build up to tablespoon doses after a week or so. If you start feeling sick, reduce the dosage.

FYI, for those of you who have chickens, I went to our 99c store and got a 'spice shaker': has a fine wire mesh over the top of a flour shaker. Put DE in this , and gently shake it over our chickens to prevent mites. REally works, and isnt' harmful at all for the birds to ingest it. Just keep it out of their eyes and beak area.

Ps. just took my first dose of food grade DE today along with DD. We'll post what happens as we go.

My husband just put his in his coffee and drank it. I still haven't had any effects and I took a tablespoon yesterday. Will continue to take it though. I know the man who sold it to us at the farm store says he takes a couple tablespoons a day and when he first started taking it he passed a few worms. He's been taking it every since.

I think it depends on how healthy you are to start, whether you take a small dose or the larger tbsp.........if you are fairly healthy (and no parasites) maybe you won't notice much change, but as a maintenance thing, your health should overall improve and the smaller problems will go away, but it will take some time. Your endurance should improve and your joints move more easily as there won't be any yeast in the weaker places where it tends to accumulate.

The issue with putting DE in coffee would be the DE settling to the bottom, since coffee (generally) is consumed slowly. Whatever you mix it in, I think it's a good idea to gulp it down before it settles.
