I have no firearms anymore. They're all gone.

And if I'm lying, may lightning strike a leftist.

If it's not too much thread drift, I'd like to add a further question to the OP.
How many people here have actually had to draw down or even fire at someone apart from the military or a LEO or security job?

$+uff h@993n$ It’s always best to try very hard to not be there when it h@993n$.

I carry my gun only in the car and at work although I ALWAYS have a weapon of some sort on my person when I leave the house. Prior military but I was in finance, so no problems there. In the civilian life I have over 400 use-of-force incidents and have never had to draw...

Owning a gun, or any number of them, does not “prepare one for violence”.

I doubt the history of man could produce any group of people who, by and large, have ever been as unprepared for violence as the American population.....and I believe, this by intelligent design.

It has been my experience, and I do mean experience, that if you're standing at a fence, with a slobbering dog by your side, (you can tell by the look in his eye, he's hungry), and you've got a hog strapped to your leg, that people/strangers have a tendency to be friendly, cordial, courteous, and respectful. And they never seem to get lost in your neck of the woods, ever again, or even pass through.

When society breaks down that will probably change.
