The Democrats are saying that anybody too lazy or stupid to actually sign up to vote will still be automatically registered when they renew their driver's license. You will remember it took a popular initiative to overturn the house and senate vote to give illegals drivers licenses even though they weren't legally in the county. Kate Brown, the former Secretary of State also eliminated the "ballot secrecy envelope" in the vote by mail to make voter fraud easier for the Democrats.

Oh boy, Dennis the liberals got their dander up in Oregon and are going to go for it all now. As bad as Kitzhaber was, Brown is even worse since she now has a "mandate" to "unify and purify Oregon." BW, it could be a county thing by the county election officials. I remember this in particular when I voted by mail in November. Brown has been PUSHING VERY HARD FOR ILLEGALS TO VOTE FOR AT LEAST A DECADE. She will do whatever she can to make that happen as governor.

Dennis, I am thinking a tidal wave of low level trash is going to pour into Oregon on July 1st when pot is legal. I am seeing a sharp increase in street trash, trash with two legs, four legs<G> since November. Oregon is pretty much road kill west of the Cascades at this point. Most of southern and eastern Oregon is still in pretty good shape, except for money issues.

Hayes is now claiming the Fifth Amendment regarding all her email now. The two men who refused to give Kitzhaber the emails have been placed on administrative leave. Oregon is now fully a one party democratic Party dictatorship. The Oregon House and Senate have introduced 130, yes Dennis, a total of 130 various "liberal type" bills they want to pass. For instance, I mentioned the 19 cents per gallon gasoline tax increase. This will be combined with a 10, 20, or even 30 percent utility rate increase depending on who you talk to.

The ENTIRE 19 CENTS GAS TAX INCREASE PER GALLON will not be spent on any transportation programs at all: NO bridges, no roads, no paving NO NOTHING. Instead it will be used to reduce Oregon's so called "carbon footprint" by about as close to zero as you can get. Further, the ENTIRE OREGON CARBON REDUCTION will reduce total USA carbon emissions by also about as close to zero as you can get.
Some of the more conservative Democrats, not the RADICAL MARXISTS IN CHARGE, are getting very nervous, especially since the Oregonian had an editorial pointing out that in six to 12 districts the Democrat Party registration advantage was under 2000 from the Republicans. It would seem that when your average Oregonian gets hit with such a massive tax increase, WITH NO RESULT IN TRANSPORT PROJECTS, the Democrats in those districts just might get voted out in 2016. Still the purists are now in charge of the Democratic Party and they may very well TAKE DOWN THE OREGON ECONOMY IN A SPASM OF ENVIRONMENTAL PURITY. <g>

Execution ban extended by Kate Brown

The voters or Oregon passed a ballot measure requiring the death penalty in 1978 and 1984. It has been in and out of court for at least the last decade. The Oregon Supreme Court overturned the 1978 vote and said the Death Penalty was unconstitutional. The voters then voted the 1984. The radical leftist Kitzhaber merely decided he wouldn't enforce it in 2011, even though it was sanctioned by the voters of Oregon twice. The Leftist elite has simply ignored the will of the people/voters when "they" don't agree with it.
Kate Brown, an even more EXTREME MARXIST THAN KITZHABER WAS just said she will continue the ban on executions no matter the criminals have been convicted and sentenced. We have some criminals on death row that go back to the mid to late 1980s now. In fact, we have one guy who actually sued Kitzhaber to execute him. LOL

At any rate, the Marxist state of Oregon is well along the path to ruin on so many levels. The ongoing death penalty saga, first by the Oregon Supreme Court in 1981, then by Kitzhaber in 2011, and now Brown in 2015, show why the will of the people means little to the leftist scrum running Oregon.

By the way, gang it means little 60 percent voted not to grant driver's licenses to illegals. The Driver License 300,000 bill is a backdoor effort to overturn the recent ballot measure.

I see there is not a lot of interest in what the liberal majority is doing in Oregon right now. I am just documenting this for people outside of Oregon for now. I will repeat: everything, the 130 bills, the carbon tax etc, are going to be test driven in Oregon first. If some of you don't think that will effect you, I will just say wait till Obama finishes destroying the US coal industry for power generation purposes. Oregon is going to remove ALL COAL FIRED POWER PLANTS WITHIN THE NEXT 5 YEARS UNDER THIS CARBON BILL. The cost will be staggering, and it is coming to as many states as Obama can get away with. Given the failure of the Republicans to fight Obama, I am thinking everybody in the USA will have a 20 cent gallon gasoline tax increase. Some of the damage is being masked by the fall of the oil price, but we shall see how much in the end.

One small beam of sunlight in the dreary climate of Oregon politics is the growing number of counties that are proactively standing up to the state legislature by enacting resolutions against the proposed background check law modeled after the one in Washington state. Some county sheriffs are writing letters stating that they will not enforce the law if it's passed. Alas, our county will not even consider this, but it is encouraging that others are taking a stand. We are in for it now in Oregon, gang. The Oregon House just passed the "Carbon Tax" by a much closer vote, 31 to 29, than straight Party lines would have the vote. It seems four "conservative Democrats" concluded they will be voted out of office if they voted for a 20 cent gas tax and a 10 to 20% utility rate hike.

I will remind you all this tax increase DOES NOTHING AT ALL TO DEAL WITH OREGON'S TENS OF BILLIONS IN DELAYED ROAD, BRIDGE AND OTHER TRANSPORT PROJECTS. THIS MEANS THERE WILL NEED TO BE ANOTHER MASSIVE TAX INCREASE TO DEAL WITH ALL THAT.

They are going to phase it out, again as part of the carbon tax scam, and replace it with a natural gas one at a cost of MULTIPLE MILLIONS PAID FOR BY THEIR RATE PAYERS. Several older dams are being taken down to save the salmon. Again, the ratepayers pay the cost of dam removal for both PGE and Pacific Power<Warren Buffet who thinks he doesn't pay enough taxes<G>> both charge their ratepayers for dam removal.

Pacific Power got a 25% rate increase several years ago. Oregon has some of the highest utility rates already. We can expect another large electric rate increase shortly. There is much discussion now in Oregon as to how badly the Democrats are going to get stomped in 2016 once the carbon tax utility rates, as well as the road taxes etc all kick in. Interesting, I didn't know there was a coal plant in OR. Our rates have gone up about X3 since we started paying electric bills around 2004 here. We went a few years without electricity and then they forced us to have it.

The real fun ensued the next day. The media showed up for Mondays City Council meeting. Channel 5--true to form--interviewed people prior to the meeting and then left before the meeting was over, so they missed the real story--typical. The Rogue River Press--socialist was there--no clue what hes going to write--and no one cares anyway.
The Mail Tribune reporter was there--Buffy Pollock--the one that broke the original story about the BOLI suit filed against the City manager Hohnbaum. Harassment sexual/physical/verbal--it made a minor ripple.
I'm sure the mayor caught some flak over hiring this guy after the first article appeared.
Pollock --when reporting about the newly approved video cameras rehashed the harassment story from the original article--logical--to keep the public up to speed about one of the issues that brought about the discussion of cameras. the other issue has to do with a newly raised water rate at the behest of the city manager--which makes Gold Hill's water rate the highest in the valley and how townspeople have verbally abused city staff when paying their bills.
But none of that compares to what happened when Buffy's article hit the online edition.
The mayor decided she was going to 'set the record straight' and she signed on using her husbands facebook and said that the whole thing about the city manager's employee harassment was determined to be unfounded by the investigator they hired. That that was the outcome of the executive session of their meeting.
Not true--what really happened was an agreement to drop the suit in favor of mediation and training meetings about workplace conduct.
(Yes--she violated the rules of an executive session of a city council meeting) which breached Federal laws concerning discrimination.
Now what was a local matter has jumped a magnitude.
To add fuel to the fire one councilor who has always sided with the abusive city manager texted her chastisement to the reporter and likewise violated the law of an executive session.
Text messages are not private and are admissable in court--in case you did not know. I'm guessing she did not know.
Now the cm as of this morning has insisted that the Council reconvene on Monday so the Mayor can rescind her tie-breaker vote for cameras in City Hall or he will sue.
Not sure of the Roberts Rules of Order on this one--more research coming up.

It just keeps getting better and better.

The Gold Hill City Manager will be getting a dose of his own medicine tomorrow for trying to subvert Oregon meeting law---and make the mayor rescind her yes vote for surveillance cameras in City Hall to keep his abusive antics under wraps.
He told her he would sue the City if she did not rescind her yes vote. Can you believe this cad?

The Oregon Legislature changed the agency´s name to Government Standards and Practices Commission (GSPC) in 1993. The Oregon Legislature during the legislative session of 2007 changed the agency's name back to Oregon Government Ethics Commission. The OGEC has seven volunteer members. Four members are appointed by the Governor upon recommendation by the Democratic and Republican leaders of the Oregon House and Senate. The Governor selects three members directly. All members must be confirmed by the Senate. No more than four of the members may be from the same political party. The law allows members to serve only one four-year term.

Now to get them to fill out the ballot and mail it or drive it to a ballot box. The ballots will look the same as before as well as the secrecy envelope.
The Rubicon the Libs are trying to cross at the moment is the 1st Amendment--they've lost the war on the 2nd Amendment--the little skirmishes are being mopped up neatly.
Here in Oregon-- the 2nd Amendment is being officially reaffirmed--county by county. Take that Bloomberg--thanks for the motivation.

Our county commissioners, at least two of them, are rotten corrupt steaming piles. Our good sheriff got voted out in a filthy election aided and abetted by at least one commissioner and both newspapers, which are of course run by leftistpukes. What to do???? too many hippies and CA newcomers I guess. :-(

The Democrats are going for broke now. Some Eugene Marxist Democrat is introducing a bill for "universal background checks" on all gun purchases by anybody in Oregon. Yep, the Democrats going after guns didn't take long!!!
The Democrats have raised gasoline taxes by 19 cents a gallon to fund "carbon reduction." This money will not fix ONE MILE OF ROADWAY OR PAINT ONE INCH OF A BRIDGE OR BE SPENT ON ANY EFFORT TO RESTORE OREGON INFRASTRUCTURE. Utility bills are going to go up between ten and twenty percent. This is before the tens of billions needed for repair are raised. They have passed the so called "motor voter" bill; they are going after ALL gun sales in Oregon. Yep, Oregon is now officially a ONE PARTY MARXIST DICTATORSHIP UNTIL 2016 AT A MINIMUM.
