The uber liberal state paper, the Oregonian, openly called for the resignation of the newly re-elected four term Democratic Governor John Kitzhaber in today's editorial. The stunning nature of this call may be lost on anybody not living in the one party Democratic Dictatorship Oregon now is. Oregon has an absolute Democratic majority in both the Senate and House. I mean by absolute the Democrats can pass any law they want with clear majorities.

Oregon is now in a full scale political crisis not seen since Nixon and Watergate. The source of all this angst is Kitzhaber's "first lady" Cynthia Hayes and her rather brazen mixing of her status as first lady to make money. The actual triggering event for Kitzhaber to resign was the admission, in a rather strange Friday press conference, where Kitzhaber admitted he had given jobs to two people who aided Ms. Hayes in lobbying for the new "carbon tax." Ms. Hayes also admitted she failed to report $118,000 in income to the IRS.


At any rate, the extreme Democratic Senate and House are trying to pass this so called "carbon tax." It is estimated it will increase the cost of one gallon of gas by nearly 20 cents. It will also increase the average utility bill by ten percent. The radical leftist Democrats are now impaling themselves on the fact Ms. Hayes "may" have committed perjury, tax fraud, and violated NUMEROUS Oregon and Federal anti corruption laws. Further, she "may" have violated NUMBEROUS Oregon laws related to lobbying, conflict of interest, and tax code violations.

It has been a JOY, at least to the increasingly mentally unstable Doomer Doug, to watch the radical leftist spinning around like a top. Yep, IT JUST DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS: LIBERAL DEMOCRATIC RETARDS SPEWING PLATITUDES ON PERSONAL INTEGRITY.

A new report of wrongdoing by Oregon first lady Cylvia Hayes emerged Monday night, with KOIN reporting that Hayes and a boyfriend bought a remote property in Washington state in 1997 to grow marijuana.

Hayes and the unidentified boyfriend put $15,000 down on a $245,000 property in Okanogan, near the border with Canada, KOIN reported.

The purchase occurred four months after Hayes' illegal marriage. Hayes gave up her interest in the property in 1998, and it went back to owner Patrick Siemion, KOIN reported. Siemion told KOIN that he found evidence of a marijuana operation.

In a statement to KOIN, Hayes said: "I am not proud of that brief period of time. I was involved in an abusive relationship with a dangerous man. We lived together for several months on the property in Okanogan that was intended to be the site of a marijuana grow operation that never materialized.

"I was never financially involved with it. I did not pay any part of the down payment or mortgage payments. I had no money. The money I had received in July 1997 for entering a fraudulent marriage was used as I have previously stated — to purchase a laptop and pay school expenses."

The news comes on top of reports last week that Hayes, fiancee of Gov. John Kitzhaber, may have improperly used her role as first lady to benefit her private consulting business and that she married an illegal immigrant in 1997 solely so the Ethiopian could get a green card. She tearfully apologized for the marriage in a news conference Thursday.

Earlier Monday, Kitzhaber asked the Oregon Ethics Commission to review Hayes' public and private work to see whether she broke any laws.

It's not clear how much damage the new report could do to the Kitzhaber campaign. The Democratic governor, seeking a historic fourth term, faces Republican Rep. Dennis Richardson in the Nov. 4 election.

Last week, political observers said Kitzhaber had been wounded by the news surrounding his fiancee but that he would probably still win. Kitzhaber gave a spirited defense of Hayes at a debate Friday before the City Club of Portland.

News of the Washington property comes on the eve of the next debate in the governor's race. Kitzhaber and Richardson will square off in KGW studios Tuesday night at 7 p.m. The debate, sponsored by The Oregonian and KGW, will be live-streamed on OregonLive and aired live on KGW.

That the Oregonian would make this call is like a 9 point magnitude earthquake here in Oregon! The citizens of Oregon would have saved themselves a lot of trouble had they thought of this BEFORE they elected him . . . for the fourth time. She is damaged goods due to the Comcast letter she signed from the PR Department in support of the $45 billion merger with Time Warner. The thread on Comcast's customer service isn't helping her. Arin Marcus and his fledgling political action committee Safer Oregon needs 220,000 signatures in 90 days


PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN 6) — A man who has been trying for years to get Gov. John Kitzhaber to look at his court case over child custody filed a recall petition against the governor Thursday.

Arin Marcus, through his fledgling political action committee Safer Oregon, said he knows “it will take quite a bit” of signatures collected in 90 days.

In fact, it will take 220,000 signatures.

To put that in perspective, the group backing legalized marijuana collected 145,000 signatures in two months and spent nearly $600,000 to gather all those signatures.

Even gathering fewer signatures can be hard. There were two failed efforts to recall former Portland Mayor Sam Adams.

Backers were not able to collect the 32,183 signatures needed and conceded it was just too difficult to collect signatures without paying people to do it.

Marcus — who said he unfairly lost custody of his children and has been ignored by the governor — and his PAC have not received a single donation.

“Two hundred twenty thousand people in Oregon are upset with the governor so it shouldn’t be that difficult,” Marcus said.

He said his child custody case involves a witness paid “to knowingly lie. I have the proof, I have the paper trail and nobody will do anything about it.”

Marcus said he lost custody of his children in the case three years ago.

However, he may be too early with his recall petition. The Oregon Secretary of State’s office is looking whether the law says a recall petition can’t be filed until six months after an elected official starts a new term or if it’s from when that official originally took office.

If so, the petition couldn’t be filed until around June.

You who live in Oregon are experiencing Venezuela-lite. It is a One Party State in which high levels of corruption will be generally accepted in order to further more hand-outs to the favored voters and to implement the ongoing Progressive Agenda. One: Democratic State Treasurer Wheeler, the former chairman of the Multnomah County Commissioners called for Kitzhaber to resign.
Two: The Democratic Senate Leader, the LESBIAN Tina Kopek? called for Kitzhaber to resign.
Three. The Democratic House Leader, Mr. Courtney called for Kitzhaber to resign.
Four: Kitzhaber has issued no statement, and is nowhere to be found on Friday.

I looked on the "Oregonian's" website, but can't find any article with the quote in it. I've tried to search online in general but also have failed. My search skills aren't the best. The local Portland Tribune, a weekly free newspaper, has the headline "Brown Picks Up Baton; Hits Ground Running."

As I have pointed out here several times, the Democratic Party in Oregon is an extreme, radical, leftist, Marxist political group. They have absolute control of both the Oregon House and Senate. They control the Governor, the Secretary of State, the State Treasurer, the BOLI head among others.

In the last 72 hours they have PASSED THE CARBON TAX IN THE OREGON SENATE COMMITTEE. It will be LAW within a week or two at most. It will be followed by a tidal wave of RADICAL LEFTIST EXTREME LAWS PASSED BY OVERWHELMING DEMOCRATIC MAJORITIES.

So much for real news on local stations or the local paper! I did learn from the local paper that our town is gulping the global warming/carbon footprint koolaide by the gallon. They want the 5 million dollar prize from some Georgetown group and the title. Wonder where that money comes from? Sigh. At least we don't live within the city limits. Guess I need to send off emails to the OR legislators, as if it does any good. I liked it better when OR didn't make national news.
