[POL] I just made up my mind to vote for Kerry.

Yeah, I'm voting for Herman Munster. The man who has won more battles than he fought. Who missed 80% of all votes for the National Security Commitee. The candidate who is definately slightly worse than GWB.

There is a method to my madness.

If Bush wins this year, Hillary will have a clear shot at the White House in '08. If Kerry wins, there are several Republicans who might be able to successfully challenge him in '08. (Especially after the foolish people see how aweful he really is.)

It is more important to me to keep Hillary out of office than to see the slightly lesser of two evils win this time. Sure Kerry will be a nightmare for those who love US sovereignty, UN haters and gun lovers. But it looks like the Republicans have the Congress pretty well locked this election and so long as we do not have a Democrat White House and Congress, Kerry will not be able to do all that much damage. Look how the Republicans stymied many of Clinton's plans.

If Kerry gets elected in '04 Hillary will be a very long shot in '08 and a longer shot in '12 when she will be well into her 70's. After stewing in her hate and frustration for another eight years, I can not see her being sane enough for even PRK voters to want in the White House.

Having an alleged friend of gun owners in the White House in '04 is not worth the risk of having a know enemy of everything good and wholesome there in '08.

Have you forgotten the Clinton EOs that are still law?

Long story short is that congress and states legislative powers can be circumvented at whim. I'd wanna be very careful to whom I gave that whim-power..even for 4yrs.

Lincoln proved he could close down Congress under the color of war. Those Executive powers were removed after the CW ended. Same after WWI & II...BUT...in the last 2 decades, particularly under Clinton, they have one by one been slipped back in.

Hillary is the least of "future problems" IMO. Presidency is not to be hers..she knows this and has been solidifying her "behind the throne" position. Both in Congress and now hoping to do the same with the Presidency in 2004. A defacto presidency for her..now..not in 2008.

Remember the Clinton challenge in the '92 DNC, "President Bush: if you won't use your power...step aside, I will." [link] That is the Democratic agenda. Actualy it's any federalist agenda but IMO you have to split hairs to chose who would do the least damage as you say. Bush will do the least damage in the next 4 years.

You betcha Kerry (with Hill and Heinz's radical socialists behind him) will use those powers to their limit. They are now unlimited you know. Be very careful who you give those powers to.

And then there's Kerry's incestuous love for the UN, China and the new Soviet bloc..the EU.

But it looks like the Republicans have the Congress pretty well locked this election

With the number of Demos in the Senate, along with the 'moderate' Reps who always vote Demo when the crunch comes, Kerry will be able to get his judges on the Courts of Appeals, and possible as many as three on SCOTUS.

That is best avoided.

MARANTHA!! Even so, come LORD JESUS!!!
YOU REALLY NEED to RETHINK this!!!!

If kerry gets in, as several have pointed out, there are the EO's to consider....PLUS now the Patriot Act! Falling into the hands of a demo-rat that WILL be DISASTEROUS!!!!!!
PLUS there are a lot of Supreme Court Judgeships still coming open...especially if Bush's appointments continue to be blocked. THIS TIME in our country we HAVE to look at IF there will EVEN BE another election in '08 if kerry takes office!! He will probably incorporate the US into the the american states of the UNITED NATIONS!!!! DESTROY our military AGAIN with his budget gutting ideas and enter into negotiations with terrorists AS and AFTER they detonate our country.
If you want to live in this country after kerry gets in...you are

NUTS!!!! :shkr:

So I should change my handle to Libertarian, But A Republican For A Couple Of Days In November instead? Either way I am holding my nose and surpressing my gag reflex.

Perhaps Kerry will cause the Congress or SCOTUS to close the EO loophole in the seperation of powers clause? "Stroke of the pen, law of the land" is a travesty in our alleged system of government.

It really doesn't matter which one of the two evils wins in my opinion. Both are hell bent on stripping away my rights and freedoms. The only difference between them is which rights they will go for first. Given no immediate gain to be had, I have to play for the end-game. Keeping Hillary out is my goal.

Yes please. At this point in time, I would welcome an ass kicking if it would make this election go away or give me a real choice. Neither of the likely winners is worth a damn and both want to harm me.

Seriously, I do not see how this impacts my political purity. I would love to vote for Badnarik but I do not know enough about him. In any case, my voting for him will not add much to the race. My voting for the other evil might.

It's doubtful that any state will be won by a single vote, so don't sweat it. ;) On top of that, there are some who make a damn good argument for not voting at all. The idea is that high voter turnouts give the NWO scum more liquidity with which to swing elections. Makes sense, but only if you understand that the computerized system is inherently corrupt.

I'll probably still vote though......we're screwed all the way around. I'll cast for 3rd parties and see what happens.

If there was some kind of heinous shooting incident and a bill renewing the Clinton AW ban made it through Congress, I think that GW would not sign it. However, I am quite certain that Kerry would.

I think Gen. Powell can dispatch of Hillary pretty easily. What a wonderful campaign season that would be, a conservative black man vs. a commy woman. I just want to see how the dems spin that one!
