I used to be an EMT and an ER nurse in an inner city, now I work for an adult foster care company (which I love!) During covid I was working as a wound care nurse and almost lost my job due to my refusal to get vaccinated. I was finally able to get my religious exemption letter to be approved and kept that job (which I now work per diem). Unfortunately I did lose my state job educating paramedics in the ER exactly 2 days after attending the January 6 rally (my manager hated Trump).
Being a nurse, I was sometimes ridiculed for my stand on things regarding vaccines and honestly could not believe how quickly the medical profession seemed to dumb down all of a sudden regarding masks, staying 6 ft apart and especially the vaccines!
Anyways, great to be on here and hope to be able to read more when I’ve got the time!!

Hey hey hey! Finally made it here and able to comment. Have lurked for a decent amount of time and enjoy the variety of bantering going on here. I live in northern MN, moved up north for good with my wife altering seeing the writing on the wall with markets before the last selection of president. Ai Is confounding tongues these days, so it is worthwhile to make an attempt to show that we can and will outsmart the stupid section of society that wants us to go along with it's b.s. be well and happy hump day

A little bit about me as well,

Lived in WV all my life, grew up farming and gardening with the family but have been living more urban the past 10 years or so, also have been a nurse in a cardiac type unit for around 7.5 years. Conservative mindset, like the idea of being self sufficient at some point in the future so I don’t have to worry as much about taking care of family. Also a decent guitar player haha, like some video games here and there as well!

My mom has been on timebomb for over 20 years though and finally got me to join after years of saying I wasn’t really interested, but I’ve matured a lot and decided it’d be nice to have access to other people with similar mindsets as far as preparedness and things go! Anyways that’s all I got!

I’m new here. Good friend invited me here. I’m always looking to read new things on forums. I look forward to learning and hopefully helping others where I can.
I got bored last winter and took up pressure canning meat. I have lots of store bought fruits and vegetables but had no meat except for what was stocked up in the freezer. I want meats that are shelf stable in case the power goes out.
I like to fish but haven’t done much lately. Things just seem to be getting harder as I get older. I don’t hunt but I love to shoot.
That’s about it about me
