Uncloaking.. after years of being a registered member but mostly lurking in the background due to my work in certain areas I've found it's time to remove the covers. Due to my seeming lack of participation my access to the Bomb Shelter was evidently removed..sigh. Guess I'll reveal at least a little of my origins. Actually started out as as a TECH in the Air Force working on Comm/Nav equipment and then did a good amount of time as an RMT with the 553 RCS (BATCAT).
My Avatar will eventually change to reflect This

The rest of my career is another story

Normally I would say "Welcome" but maybe "Hello" would be a better choice.

Hello.

@2zipper2 my dad is retired USAF noncomm. Seventeen years in radar and the Tower and his last three were as a First Sergeant. His last few tours prior to terminal leave was spent in places, doing things he doesn't talk about.

Remember that they are watching you if you just visit as much as if you join. Run the numbers up and leave no doubt about how you think and feel.

Hello everyone TailzFox here joined today after a group meetup my mom GoldDust brought me to have a lot of fun there and learned some new stuff. Let's dive deep into the rabbit hole and see how far it goes.

Hello and (early) Happy New Year!

Was made aware of the wonderful group of people a few years ago. This has been my go to site to get the news for a while.

A little bit about myself:
- happily married 30 years
- three boys, all grown; one confirmed bachelor; one married; one in the army working on attack helos
- recent transplant to central Missouri (south of the river)
- long-time controls systems and electrical engineer
- in June of this year, started two businesses. One for my electrical engineering consulting activities, and one helping people build modular solar systems. I have not been able to spend a lot of time with the solar business as consulting tends to keep me pretty busy.
- self-sufficient in multiple disciplines - carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanic, software, gardening

I would like to get into raising herd animals, but that gets in the way of traveling. Maybe someday when we slow down, we will get some sheep or cows.

Also, there's a typo in the username - it should be Saeurs rather than Sauers. Maybe Deena can change that for me?

Hello everyone. I am a new member but have been a lurker for awhile. I am from PA and recently retired. I have spent many hours in the stories section before becoming a member and have found that there are some very talented authors here. This is an awesome site and I would like to thank everyone that posts. I have learned so much from this site.
