O by a hair because he stole it.

Romney by a landslide because it could not be stolen.

Hostile Senate: They will see to it that R is the Herbert Hoover of the 21st Century and they will be successful.

Non-hostile Congress; Full of RINOS who won't have the guts to do what is needed and Romney does not have the eloquence to rouse the Lesser Classes to force Congress.

My view: He has less than a 20% chance of avoiding the Herbert Hoover prize at best and he has only two years to do it. If there is no progress by then, the country will go hard Left and there will be Congress that will be able to ignore Romney. They did it in 1930-32 and that lesson has not been lost.

Big Business has the opportunity to make R look pretty good but J K Galbraith once said that as a group, the stupidest people he ever met were the CEO's of the major corps in this country. And I have seen nothing to change that observation. So they may not support him and may actually work against him.

Troke what I don't like about this election cycle is the MSM reporting that early voting numbers are all going to BHO?

Why is this info even released pryor to Tuesday evening at the close of voting on the East coast?

Thanks SIRR1

Even though I will not vote for Mitt it would still bring a smile to my face to send the Obama's packing. Mitt will do very little that is different from Obama. The differences are in style and not substance. No man can keep the wheels on the cart very much longer.

Sounds logical. Maybe a short lived economic rise 2013 then a major stock market crash followed by a huge depression, then Hillery Clinton gets to have her village and the end of private property rights (most all rights to the individual) and the end of our constitutional Republic 110% come 2017. In five short years, we will all be singing strawberry fields forever....

It isn't ... not real data. What they are supposedly citing is what people tell them they did after they left the voting booth and then they are extrapolating it. Bogus statistics. If you can choose which precinct in which state you are polling then the numbers you extrapolate from that are unlikely to be true.

For instance, if I was to do that here in my early voting places in northern Hillsborough county, FL the vote would be overwhelmingly for Romney. If I was to try and gather the same data from Detroit the extrapolation would show the opposite effect.

Personally my prediction is that there will be a 5 to 7% spread in the popular vote in favor of Romney but the overall effect will be a landslide in the electoral college in favor of Romney. Romney is also going to take most of the swing states including Wisconsin and Ohio. In fact, I would say that Romney will take most of the states that either produce coal and/or are dependent on it for keeping utility prices manageable. I'll also go on to say that there will be a statistically significant lowering of "black voters" meaning they stayed home rather than voting for anyone.

When O loses, one of the people that Val Jarret will throw under the bus in retribution will be Hillary Rodham Clinton. They can't stand each other ... possibly even hate each other. Jarret has been forced to hold back up to this point because they were holding Billy Boy as an ace in the hole but his effect hasn't been as strong as had been hoped. Nope, Valerie "The Rabid Cobra" Jarret will waste no time at all in paybacks. She is just that type.

Since O can't turn around an inherited bad economy, lets see if Mitt can do it. Can O turn anything around in 4 more? Oh hell no.

We'll see if a bad economy keeps getting passed down like a sour fruit cake at Christmas. There is nothing for Mitt to ride on giving him credit for anything Obama might have done. So what Mitt does is all on him. If he goes to whining that he can't do it in 4 years either, then it's time to pitch him to the wolves too.

My guess is that neither one of the pecker heads have any desire to turn this country around. Pomp and Circumstance with no Substance.

Face it, the country is going down the toilet no matter who wins. If Soetoro wins, it'll probably come quickly. With Romney, we may squeeze out a couple more years.

They are reporting number of Democrats and Republicans voting, and assuming Democrats are voting for Obama. I think that's a very bad assumption this year.

Does anyone really understand that the President is unable to stand in the way of a deflating worldwide economy? Does it make ANY sense that the President (regardless of who it is/will be) is powerless to do anything remotely constructive? Good grief, people.

The nation's economy, joblessness, zero interest rates, hoarding of cash, Wall Street fraud and all the rest will continue regardless. Until it all blows up.

Then, whoever is President at the collapse will take the blame (but won't deserve it) and whoever is President at the recovery after the collapse will take the credit (but won't deserve it).

O or R - makes NO DIFFERENCE.

Romney in a landslide. I don't expect him to be remembered as a 'successful' President though, because the coming economic turmoil can't be avoided, and because the discredited legacy media are going to be out for blood from Day One. If there's any way they can challenge his legitimacy, maybe on account of Sandy, they will.

As I have said from the beginning, I believe our little messiah will win. But if Emperor Obama can't steal the election then something will happen to both Romney and Ryan before they are sworn in or something will happen to give Obummer the excuse to declare Martial Law before January. I believe Obama is our last president.

Big Difference. O will see disaster as an opportunity not to be missed. I am not sure I want to be here if O sees his opportunity and takes it.

R will see disaster as just for what it is and will do his best to maneuver around it although he will have to have much luck justs to survive politically.

I have no illusion that Romney would be a great President. I don't even know if he'd be any good as a President. I don't agree with all of his positions. What I *do* know is that he displays less utter narcissism or contempt for anything American, and performs with mannerisms far more appropriate for a President than does Obama.

I believe we're facing disaster over the next several years no matter WHO sits in the Oval Office, and I believe the President is only a figurehead on puppet strings anyway. HOWEVER - Romney will piss me off less and not be quite as big an embarrassment as Obama. That's good enough for me.

Stayed up for John B. Wells on Coast last night and then BBC, they were discussing scenario of 269 electoral votes each and Biden possibly deciding it as tie breaker in Senate. Then Meet the Press this morning posited the same scenario: what if 269 a piece? Are they trial ballooning some ideas out? Am fit to be tied and have never been so flummoxed at my inability to call this. I knew Kerry would lose. But this time I have no idea how it will go. I voted absentee. Get it over and done already!

Biden will have no say because the House decides in case of a tie. The Senate decides only on the vice president.

Not sure the country could withstand four more years of whines and moans of the current WH occupant endlessly complaining about the horrible economy he inherited.

Enough is enough and this affirmative action Manchurian Candidate needs the boot.

+1

Spot on.

In the event of a tie, the Presidency is decided by the House. Not the current House, but the new House. Not a one vote one man situation. Each state delegation gets one vote. Say Kansas, for example, has 5 House seats and 4 are Republican, and 1 Democrat, they vote and the Republicans get one vote.

Should there be a 25-25 tie, the Speaker of the House decides.

The same thing in the Senate except each Senator gets one vote and the Senate selects the new Vice-President. If there is a tie, the sitting Vice-President breaks the tie.

I doubt Romney will be on tv near as much as Obama is. Obama is a media whore and in constant campaign mode. I suspect Romney will be more like Bush in that regard. Probably pictures of him coming or going from the White House and things like that but I don't think he will grab a microphone every day just to be seen on tv like Obama does.

My predictions:
If Obama wins, someone will say:
1) R.I.P. America, Constitution, etc.
2) He's not MY president, or some other racist drivel
3) I want to leave the country
4) It's time for a revolution!

If Romney wins, the comments will include:
1) Nothing will change until someone like Ron Paul is elected
2) I'm afraid of his religious background, or some other anti-Mormon nonsense
3) Multiple inappropriate sore-winner-type comments about the Obamas, with no respect for the office

OddOne

< Yes, I do look like that.
My prediction: One way or the other, the United States is about to elect its last president. Whether the country implodes because of divine manipulation (e.g., Biblical tribulation and Armageddon) or secular cyclic action (impending/inevitable economic collapse, the beginning of all manner of down-trend waves in various cyclic theories, etc. etc. etc. besides the fact that globally-influential nations and empires usually only last about 200-250 years), the ship's going down very soon, likely within the next 8 years, if not 4. Some are now theorizing that Titanic has already hit the iceberg in the form of the evolving costs for Sandy and the slow starting part of the sinking is underway.

Romney landslide

From your keyboard to God's ear.

Romney is not the answer in the big picture, but he at least acts mature and Presidential. His time in the Oval Office will buy us a little time (as the late Harry Chapin noted - "on the road to kingdom come.")

just sayin'

Add to the Obama Column
5) We got the best President that the media and TPTB could create
6) I quit my job today - let someone else feed the Gibsmedats.

ADD to the Romney column
4) how dare he eliminate entitlements. My cellphone paid for with another's tax dollars is MINE.
5) Keeping the military budget only confirms that he's a war-monger.
6) He eats his eggs with ketchup (or some other nonsensical drivel calculated to keep a personal foible/failing in front of the media)

Hoof tied either way I guess.

My gut tells me that the left knows that Zero is toast and they will sow as much confusion and chaos and fraud as possible - through cutouts like ACORN, ACLU, etc. I'll bet that we won't know who is president for a long time after Tuesday. I think that this time there will be no dirty trick to low or too outrageous for them to stoop to in order to defraud the voting public.

One scheme is to so PHOGG the election that it can be claimed that the winner is a usurper, not a legitimate office holder, and most certainly has no mandate. It was worked on Bush although it had little effect because of 9/11.

Either way We the People are going to have to bite the bullet. Whether long term (O wins) or short term? (R) wins. Not that Romney won't do his best but there are lots of days between the "election" and whomever taking the "Oath of Office". Plenty of time for O to reek plenty of havoc by way of EO's and lots of them. Then there's the Jarrett statement about "winning and getting revenge" whatever or whomever she's aiming that at. Win or lose, it would seem "revenge" is the "operative" word here.

I'm saying Romney, not by a nose, but by a head.

The National polls that I looked at seem to over sample the D's.

CNN over sampled D's, according to their methodology by 11%.

In the final NBC/WSJ national poll they had bozo 48% with Romney 47%.

When I viewed the NBC/WSJ methodology in this final poll, they had polled 5% more D's than R's (31% to 26%) and the end result was still close.

If I were to include the independents that leaned D or R, the poll still sampled 43% D and 41% R.

Some feeling that if Romney wins, he will have 2 electoral votes to O's 1, a 2-1 advantage. Some might call that a mandate.

I still think the electorate is looking for somebody to solve our problems without inconveniencing them very much.

Can't be done. Somebody is going to have to tell them that. Unfortunately, I see no one capable of such.

The day is coming quickly when austerity will hit our shores, regardless of who occupies the Oval Office.

No one wants their legacy to be that of the “bad guy”, but in actuality they would be the purveyor of truth.

Our debt/deficit is not sustainable.

I believe Obama is our last president.

Concor the last half. Before 01/21/2013, The Dictator will initiate a False Flag event, declare Martial Law, suspend the US Constitution, disband both Houses of Congress and the Suprem Court, and rule by Presidential Decision Directives and Executive Orders. When he tries to confiscate weapons and ammunition, food, and prescious metals, SOME of the Sheeple will wake-up. Patriots will already be engaged in in the struggle to bring back Liberty, Freedom, and Honor... Expect to see the UN and the rest of America's enemies to invade- to loot, rape, and pillage...

TAKE PRISONERS! INTERROGATE THEM! TERMINATE THEM! When in combat operations with The Enemies of America, both Foreign AND Domestic, do not hesitate, or shirk your duties. Remember that this will be a war of survival, a war to restore all that is good about America. Unless America is restored to a Constitutional Republic, Freedom will be lost, America will becme but a fading memory, and the Light of Hope for Mankind's Future will be, perhaps forever, extinguished...

Long Live The Constitution! Long Live the Republic! Gods and Goddesses, Bless, Guard, and Guide, The United States of America, and it's People!

NOW is the time to prepare yourselves, to be ready to fight, and defeat Tyranny! There is no option, but victory- failure means death, and/or slavery...

The decision, Ladies and Gentlemen, is what you are willing to fight and, yes maybe, die for...

Better to die on your feet, free, and unbowed, than to kneel in the chains of slavery- you, your spouse, your children, and the memory of freedom lost...

Choose you this day... Take the time to truthfully consider your heart and mind. If you should stand with me in defense of all that is "right" and "holy," to protect and defend The Constitution of The United States of America, against ALL enemies, both foreign AND domestic, you are my brother or sister, my comrade in arms... IF, however, you choose to stand by the enemies of The Constitution, as an enemy of The United States, you are my mortal enemy. There will be no hesitation, no mercy, no quarter, no prisoners- PERIOD. TRAITORS will be terminated with extreme prejudice.

Again, choose you this day... Comrade, or mortal enemy..

OldArcher,out...

I have two separate thoughts here. I think Romney will win by a very comfortable margin AND it is a looong time between November 6, 2012 and January 20, 2013.

As OA said, 'Choose you this day'.

Troke, you keep forgetting the Mormon factor. Romney has a whole bunch of LDS people behind him with money who want to see big business rebound. Take a look at SLC and that new mall. These people won't be taking "no" for an answer.

I'm not staying that's necessarily a Good Thing. I just think that if he gets in, things will move in that direction, and "trickle down economics" will again be in play for us cubical dwellers. On the other hand, our employment numbers may increase as more companies come back to the US, although salaries won't be anything to write home about.

Added: I fully expect him to start a war! Those with defense jobs or a finger in that pie will make out like bandits.
