BW, I know the left is not going to go quietly, but it's entirely possible that some faction of the white hats is starting to gain ground, maybe even enough to put a halt or temporarily halt Plan A and maybe Plan B (whatever they are) to sabotage the midterm elections.

And, yes, there is probably a Plan C and a Plan D, but I'm trying to remain optimistic.

The machines are outlawed in some places, and the company is slowly getting tied up in court, as I recall, so there is that.

I also know there's a huge grass roots movement to reform local election laws and draft more honest poll watchers. A number of people understand what's at stake. Will it be enough? I pray that it is.

I'm watching and waiting to see how they cheat this time. I have no idea what they will use, but try they will, I'm sure, unless they just plan to lose.

I'm sure there were lots of "Lessons Learned" meetings, and follow-on refinements, ever since the last election.

That thing about their ballot-box-stuffing mules carrying personally-identifiable cell phones will likely never be repeated, for example.

I pray against them being able to conjure up another one! I pray against all the mind-binding spells of all med staff and professionals!

Well, we are starting BW's 7th week, so we'll see what happens. The 10-day incubation period from Labor Day is Sept. 15, which is Thursday of this week.

I'll be keeping an eye on the local and national news on Thursday and Friday this week.

[FYI: Queen Elizabeth's funeral is Monday, Sept. 19, which might be another super-spreader event. Ten days out from that is September 29.]

Something is certainly happening, in that cases are growing. But there's no major attention-getting government steps to control the infections or the people. The response seems to be a vax program for what the government considers a vulnerable population, and ad-hoc treatment for the rest of the people.

Early on there were some statements (as I mentioned in the past) that there would be no top-down edict on this one, and that lockdowns and other gov responses would be spurred by popular pressure. So far the response to MP is congruent with that outline, but so is an MP-nothingburger. For the time being, we're still waiting as it simmers.

I'll stick with my date. Are we still going to be waiting for something to happen through spreader events until Christmas and into next year, and still be talking about it if nothing major has happened by then? I waited for schools and universities to reopen. Nothing no spreader event. Gay festivals ongoing. No spreader events. I'm waiting, until September 30th, and if nothing happens from spreader events by then, I'm done waiting. I'll write it off as a nonevent.

This outbreak of MP has been around for almost a year, and nothing major has come of it. I have no vested interest in sitting around waiting or watching for another few months or a year for something to happen. I'm always alert and flexible, but make my decisions based on facts.

School has been back in session four and a half weeks here, and the college for around three weeks. I'm not seeing or hearing of absences due to rashes or poxes or anything along those lines.

I still have my ear out for it in case it begins to grow again, but it looks like it's fading for now, and that's a good thing.

Topic has fallen to page 4 and as I wrote a couple of weeks ago, MP is pretty much over.

TPTB gave it a shot but it had no legs (I.e. legitimacy) and was bogus from day 1.

I don't think MP is completely over. There are cases out there still being reported. Still, 98% of those cases are in gay men. I don't believe it's ever going to break out en mass in the general population, though. If it was, it would have done it by now. With each passing day, I'm getting less and less concerned.

It isn't finished, and it might poke it's head up again, but it has drastically slowed. Daily numbers are important, but sometimes you need to pull out and look at the big picture, so I'm keeping them weekly and monthly.

I was going to post this on the 16th (Friday), but we're close, and this gives an idea of how much it's slowing.

There have been over the last couple of weeks the occasional news bit or public service announcement on radio and tv in the Bay Area of innoculation clinics being held, mostly for the benefit of the gay community. They're addressing the threat of the disease, but they're doing so very quietly while still encouraging gay "social events" even with the threat of them being Covid-19, never mind MP, "super spreader" events.
