Honestly, who hasn't looked at a rising drawbridge while behind the wheel of a car and thought "Hmmmm... I wonder... " ?

I was commuting home on my bicycle in Seattle, heading down to the ferry, and saw a flight of steps. I thought about a much shorter amount than I should have, and headed down it. Made it to the bottom ok, but fractured my sprocket on the top step. The bike shop guy was amazed - he'd never seen anyone break a sprocket.

Sometimes you just gotta try it.
