I voted "slight disruption of a year or two". I'd like to have picked "the worst is over", because I do think we are trending that way with the virus. What the big battle is going to be now is the economic fallout and fighting the communists on reopening. That's a huge wildcard and I don't expect that to be resolved soon.

Well - for me, "normal" has to include some basic things.

Functioning Gov
Sound money & fiscal responsibility - at all levels
Thriving business - at all levels
People wanting to work, be responsible for themselves & their children's behavior and education - and ABLE to find jobs to care for those children appropriately
Social disapproval (in a big way) for deviant morality & entitlement mentality
Freedom to be, say, practice and pursue what makes one happy & healthy - that doesn't infringe on anyone else

We ain't been normal for a long time. I'm hard pressed to pick a point when I first noticed it. But the pace of disintegration has significantly picked up since 2008. All across my list. So, when the virus hit -- and gov reacted by quarantining healthy people - impacting business, gov, & finance in a big way -- none of our traditional institutions were stable enough to withstand the impact.

I voted major disruption for more than a decade. It's possible that the 30-40 somethings out there have to learn the lessons of what's important on my list the hard way. (Since it seems clear the current general consensus is that all that is obsolete & irrelevant.)

And maybe that's going to require another war. Sigh. It seems to be the only way to "fix stupid" left available.

IMO, the response will further fracture our society. Red and Blue will split farther apart. Those that can will "escape" to like minded states. Some (Red?) economies will grow and recover while others (Blue?), will stagnate. The effect will be mass unemployment and hunger causing desperation and rioting. With Trump's re-election the Deep State will try to stir up their warriors (Antifa) to overturn the election. That's when most Patriots will have had enough and the blood will run.
I don't look forward to this, bit I think it's where we are headed.

I would love to be able to vote The Worst is Over - and as far as the virus itself is concerned, it may well be. However, I think the virus was just a (not so) small part of something far greater brewing. If so, I am not looking forward to what may come next. Even if Trump wins the election this isn't going to stop. If he wins, all hell will break loose. If he looses, all hell will break loose. I think the "pre-virus normal" ship has sailed...

I haven't responded to the poll - an atypical behavior for me. to be honest when boss posted it I didn't expect it to amount to much because it was so complex - so many variables and so many unknowns. however as I look at the thread, there is a lot of very deep thought here - and like the board itself - a wide swath of America - we're presented with a broad brush of possibilities.

unfortunately, I do not see the overall situation improving quickly. from a medical perspective I felt from the begining this was a nothing burger - I think the evidence shows that was a correct impression. I DO THINK there will be a second wave of this in the late fall and I do think it will be much worse than the first . . . likely not only because the various strains have morphed and become more virulent - but PTB will make it so via their minions in the PRESS. they've had a very good opportunity to study Americas response to their lock down strong arm tactics.

I WAS ALSO VERY WRONG IN MY EARLIEST THINKING . . . there is a member here who repeatedly told me TS - has and is - HF. I did not see what he did and I have told him so. despite my deep distrust of all things PTB and most things .gov related, I remained focused on the medical aspects of this - never dreaming they would attempt to move their agenda this far and this quickly while I "looked at the other hand". we've about had the table run on us friends - and right from the opening break

• they will bring this back in the fall
• it will be worse (EVEN IF IT ISN'T) thanks to Americas greatest enemy the meeeedia
• look for a huge spike - carefully delivered and likely orchestrated - TO TEACH YOU ALL A LESSON and reinforce their tactics of fear

I believe these are absolutely correct - there ia a huge ground swell of opposition to the tyranny - this can't continue. either "adjustments" will be made or there will be trouble in the streets increasing in volume as well as mass - until there is violence. I am PROUD to see AMERICA PEACEFULLY STANDING TO SAY NO - and doing so in ever increasing numbers.

1) It’s been established that Dr. Anthony “Gain Function” Fauci directed money towards the Wuhan lab to study gain function. Why? Because it was too dangerous to do it here. To say that America introduced the virus to China can be dismissed as laughable. However, if you say that the US, through Dr. Fauci and the CDC funded and essentially outsourced the production of this virus to China…it’s not as easy to dismiss. With the Wuhan Flu-just like with everything else, America doesn’t really make anything anymore, we just outsource it.
2) Many in Washington and elsewhere are taking the approach of, “China is asshole” as a policy statement. China may indeed be asshole, but that’s not a tangible policy of what we’re going to do and why. So why beat on China anyway? Because the US Elites just printed trillions out of thin air to bail out their Lolita Express buddies on Wall Street. Again. When debt bubbles collapse, the bankers create wars between nations to cover themselves. Better to whip up fury in the populace against “them” and let them kill each other on a battlefield instead of coming after the Golden Sachs crowd on Wall Street.
3) Antibody tests, rising case numbers, and declining CFR numbers all point to an outcome that is not a significant incremental increase in the overall death rate. We’re all exhaling in relief that this is no more deadly than a bad flu season. Is the uproar over China proportional to this incremental increase in the death rate? And by the way, re beating the drums that lead up to war with China-what would that death rate be?
4) This pandemic has exhausted a ton of PPE and medical supplies demonstrating how woefully unprepared the US was for such an event here at home. After 20 years of “nation building” in Afghanistan with zero success, how do you think our military is doing in terms of material condition, readiness, morale, training, etc.? And don’t get me started on our Navy. Between their navigation skills and leaks to the press, I’ve got my doubts about their ability to project power. Problem is that all this ground fighting ability overseas is far more risky if you can’t control the seas between here and there.
5) Let me red team this for a second. If I’m China and the US actually came to make war on us, then all I’d need to do is deliberately release some sort of biological agent in the US-maybe in the food supply chain and then wait for the logistics to dry up both to their own populace and their troops in the field.
6) Back to the virus, consider what Angry Karl has said. He believes that nursing homes represent about half of the WuhanFlu fatalities in the US and that this crisis was terribly mismanaged at their level by not locking in immediately. Is that China’s fault? Or is it the management malpractice on the part of nursing home administrators? Would it be a stretch to say that a large percentage of the nursing home WuFlu virus deaths are due in large part to poor handling of the pandemic by administrators of those homes? Strange we haven’t heard the same kind of passion directed in this direction as we have at China.
7) The lockdown of the country and the economic consequences we have suffered and will continue to suffer weren’t caused by China. The lockdown was decreed by leaders who acted out of an abundance of caution, panic, or gross incompetence/unpreparedness. Given the outcomes, does the intention really matter? It didn’t have to be that way. Several other countries didn’t shut down and have somehow managed to survive and even outperform the US on this virus. I predict that the people most responsible for the economic consequences of this lockdown will be people clamoring the loudest for Chinese accountability so that their own accountability will be ignored. Just like the bankers.
8) When the crisis hit, people looked to those leaders to actually lead and in a crisis. So for those leaders, it was a pucker factor 11 unpleasant surprise that they were completely unprepared for. They had been too busy watching porn, trying to grow their hair, and otherwise sleeping on the job. So they hit the panic button, unanimously declared a state of emergency, told everyone to stay home and hung a mission accomplished banner. No foresight. No leadership. No planning. No exit strategy either.
9) How many government bodies in the US that declared a state of emergency and seized emergency powers explicitly declared their exit plan for that state of emergency or limited the duration for a certain number of days? It can’t be many. Those in power care only about covering their liability, not coming up with a solution. Most of them are looking to use this crisis to maximize the gain to their own team. An extension to, “never let a crisis go to waste” might be, “never give up emergency powers until you’re forced to.” At this point, I am for some reason reminded that dogs that get vicious, attack humans, get a taste for that blood have to be put down because they will always be a danger to a human. There’s no “un-training” them.

10) Don’t get me wrong, China started this mess and they own it. They deserve to get punished. To me, bringing manufacturing back from China en masse is sufficient because it would give us an independence from China. It would put Americans back to work. It would also crush the Chinese economically. Personally, I’m willing to pay more for made in the USA because of what it would mean to our country and theirs. But we shouldn’t forget guys like Dr. Fauci and others. So many of these guys were unprepared, inept, meddlers, fear mongers, or outright tyrants who spouted one line of thought in mid-March and another one two weeks later. They need to be held accountable first. If we intend to get independence from China, then we first need to get independence from the elites and the experts. They who hold the title, the authority, and are paid the big money, but refuse to carry out their responsibility.

We are in extremely dangerous times for reasons too numerous to discuss in a post on a thread.

We are never going to return to normal if one considers normal as summer/fall 2019. It's gone. It's getting further away each day. Blow it a kiss.

Several posters indicated that the s*** has hit the fan. I think it has. We could all see the turds being lined up. It was inevitable.

The coronavirus escaped or was released (doesn't matter... same results) at what, in retrospect, was an ideal time to redirect attention and "justify" kicking in the afterburners on the printing presses. << (figure of speech... digital dollars). Investigations, elections and all those things were moved to the bottom shelf.

We are now all concerned about dying, virus killing our families, paying our bills, killing our economy, having a job to which we can return, losing our homes our retirements, educating our children and myriad other things about which the elite never worry. (They talk a line of s*** like they worry about those things but you know they are lying.)

So... I concur. The s*** has hit the fan and the turds we watched being lined up for years are going to be flung hell west and crooked for the forseeable future.

Is it going to last a while? Yes. There is nothing happening to make it go away. Remember those turds that have been lining up for years? You cannot see or even name them all.

The s*** sandwich is going to be our lunch at least until an actual, viable vaccine eliminates THIS novel coronavirus. (There are likely more waiting to be released.) After that... those still alive can start working on burying the other turds that are lined up and hitting the fan.

In the mean time we may be dealing with race riots, civil war, world war, economic collapse and famine here and there.

I won't even go into earthquakes and asteroids.

I voted other, as I see the seven year framework developing quickly. According to Israel becoming a nation in 1948, I put the long date at 2028. If the White Horse of the Apocalypse, the one wearing a crown (Corona is crown), is loose at this moment, this moves it to 2027. Seven is a perfect number, Biblically speaking. Add that to the mix.

I suspect this virus will lead to more severe outbreaks of bio weapons. I suspect nuclear reactions in time, as a conventional war will escalate quickly if it is with the three main powers. If the election and civil disruptions occur, the enemy's will not let this opportunity get by and things will escalate. One can guess the path that leads to destruction, and a Great Tribulation, but few will get it right. God has a way of surprising folks.

I look around at what you folks are seeing here and there on the net, in your communities, in your sphere's, and it points to "nothing new under the sun". Evil, and man at his most depraved. It's utterly disgusting. And it keeps outdoing itself. Everytime we think it can't be worse, it's worse.

The Bible Prophecy is dead on, and relative to the minute. Revelations, root word reveal. The internet is revealing and opening the eye's of many. This is extremely important to the equation. Those Christians who are dialed in, are waking up to the day and age we are living. People are choosing sides here. Men are going to stand up. Men are going to fall. Large numbers of men and women.

So to sum up, we can look thru rose colored glasses, expecting the world to come back and somehow resemble a polite society. Or one can put on the blood colored glasses, and prepare for the Great Tribulation.

I think there was a lot of pretty wall-papering over a dry rotted economy since the failure of 2008. We are in Wiemar Republic territory now with MMT and monetizing of the debt into monopoly money.

The stock market is all bubbles blown by the FED and has no relation to price discovery. The wealthy have carried away the middle classes' and retiree's wealth in the largest con game in history. The large corporations have no loyalty to the US and have become global. They push for globalism and the abandonment of national sovereignty.

Mom and Pop Mainstreet will not survive that stay at home/essential business dictates of state government. They will not reopen and entrepreneurs will be unable to get financing and insurance to start new enterprises. The technocrats are peeing their pants with excitement to finally use COVID 19 fears to go robotic big time, appeasing with UBI, while sneaking in mass surveillance... because COVID tracking.

COVID 19 has been a great cover for petty government power grabs and the undermining of the Bill of Rights. Who needs legislatures when you can simply issue an order that must be obeyed...because COVID.

The frailty of supply chains, the threats to use essential goods as hostage or punishment by China will fuel the cold War and cause shortages for years until resilience and "home made" substitutes can be up and running. Even the, issues with domestic food supply will point to smaller regional operations as the way to build in redundancy. This will require a long battle with the left over the easing of regulations to allow small and local to flourish rather than global with lobbyists and kick backs. We will have to cull the corrupt China owned politicians from the federal and state herd.

This will take at least 5-10 years of pain and struggle if the free middle class is to re-emerge.

As I have stated in several threads, the genesis of this planned demic,
and the subsequent fallout, is November 8th, 2016.

1. Communist China. They were getting their communist arses handed to them,
and manufacturing was coming back to the ZUSA.
2. Damocrap Party. They are basically nothing but communist,
and would assist Communist China, in stopping the return of manufacturing
to the ZUSA. In addition, all their attempts to undo the results of November 8th, 2016
had failed miserably, and all stops had to be pulled out, for their final attempt.

That final attempt. The release on purpose, of the COVID-19 bio-engineered,
weaponized virus, that was intended initially for the ZUSA, but mishandling of the virus,
caused it to be released worldwide.

As a conspiracy theorist/doomer/prepper/survivalist, I expect nothing but bad,
each day, each week, each month going forward.

I don’t have the ability to see into the future, but you have to believe that certain groups out there that hate us are seeing how cheap and destructive a virus is. This IMO is a problem.

I voted for 10 year major disruption, but TEOTWAKI will be the end result, I just don't know the time-frame. Too many huge interconnected things going on. Economic collapse, demographic change, and South Africa style dictatorship is coming to the US. The Wuflu boogieman isn't going away - its too useful. Look forward to a Constitution-free, immigrant flooded future, ruled almost entirely by Muslims and blacks. Don't expect to hold on to any of your private property.

Also, there is no avoiding the weather changes that come with the GSM, and the coming grid disruptions from the Earth's electromagnetic field disruptions. The entire world is going to have food shortages/famines and manufacturing problems. All that is the optimistic scenario that overlooks imminent world war.
