Hi Medic, I think the answer to your question is Mzkitty's picture in post #680 above.

I found this tweet today, Similar explosion in Syria 7 months ago.
Perhaps someone has a new toy.Nice catch.
As my best friend in Mississippi used to say: "Oh my, OH MY, OH OH MY...."Perhaps someone has a new toy.

The cruise ship was moored broadside to the blast, the freighters were moored more or less stern to, center of crater is about 2 points on their starboard quarter. Freighters' starboard side would have also been shielded by the dock at least at the water line. The cruise ship therefore had a much larger "sail area" for the shock wave to impact, as well as being hit athwart ship. Vessels generally have more reinforcement longitudinally (bow to stern) than perpendicular (side to side) since the longitudinal forces are much greater during normal operation.

It’s starting to be on multiple channels, from different angles. I “know” there are multiple people on here, way smarter than me. What ya think??
I think Photoshop. Why? That explanation has to do with F stops and cell phone cameras. Are they able to pick up something moving as fast as a missile and keep it in focus on the frame? All this old Wolf knows is SLR. Maybe somebody who is more familiar will this will chime in.
I knew this guy years back. He was a trader in my pit. A complete pain in the ass. We would laugh at his expense when he would appear on the TV because we all knew how full of sh*t he is. Yes, he's the author you speak of.The family bedroom (I think extended family but I'm not sure) bedroom of the gentlemen that wrote the book: The Black Swan.

This is a zoomed in look at the 'missile' in this video. This is the last frame where the missile is seen. The next frame does not show any missile or impact, it's like it just disappeared there.
It looks to me like this has been added on top of the original video. I am not sure, but it looks like the missile is not going to hit where the fire is. It looks like it is closer to the camera and would hit in a good distance away from where the explosion happened.
This missile was moving at a high speed and it was only on a couple of frames of the video. It shows up very clearly on the 7 frames that span just 1/5 of a second. I would expect that it would look blurry because it is moving so fast.

Photoshopped.
It's not too hard to invert the colors on a video and then draw in a missile on those frames.
It's obvious the video is a hand held cell phone.

I believe it’s the sixth video, loop of around 30 seconds
If it’s not CGI, then WTF??
so that missile is as tall as the silos behind it. something that big would have been captured by satellite imagery taking off from whereever. This is a zoomed in look at the 'missile' in this video.
