We're So Far Downstream from Culture that We're in Hell

By Brian Parsons
November 27, 2022

Robert Johnson is often considered the first rock musician and one of the godfathers of the Mississippi Delta blues. Though his entire recording career spanned a mere seven months between 1936 and 1937, and though he achieved relatively little commercial success in his lifetime, Johnson is considered one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. Legend has it that this relative unknown met the devil at a crossroads and traded his soul for musical talent. He sang about it in his 1936 song "Cross Road Blues."

Whether or not Mr. Johnson actually met the devil at a crossroads and traded his soul for fame is debatable. More recent interviews with musicians, like the 2009 60 Minutes interview with Bob Dylan, fuel the fire on discussions of whether or not men can trade their literal souls for earthly fame. Whether merely a metaphor for trading all of one's self for stardom or a literal Faustian bargain, few would debate that there is a soul-sucking element to fame that robs the famous of their humanity.

A troubling aspect of our national culture is an ever-creeping slide into debasement. In this slide, we traded a cultural soul in pursuit of wholesomeness for a much darker version. There was a time when Elvis gyrating on television was on par with the red light districts of Amsterdam.

Today, artists performing ritualistic, occult ceremonies is chalked up to marketing.

Last year, rapper Lil Nas X of "Old Town Road" fame performed his song "MONTERO" while giving a homo-erotic lap dance to Satan. To promote his video, he sold customized Nike sneakers with literal human blood in the soles.

What once was chalked up to shock value has become celebrated. What once was limited to music genres like death metal found a home in bubblegum pop and rap.

One can find similar dark and occult symbolism throughout popular culture. From celebrity Celine Dion's children's clothing line Celinununu to Disney's FX cartoon program Little Demon, about the rise of the Antichrist, celebrating the occult has become standard fare. Perhaps this is all a marketing ploy to draw attention to one's products, or perhaps there is something more there?
7_124_9.gif

They say politics is downstream from culture, and our politics has born that out. Our leftward American creep reflects a society in pursuit of and driven by the culture. From the celebrity cult-like following of the Obamas to electing a literal celebrity in Donald Trump, the line between culture and politics has largely disappeared. This is also reflected in the overlapping social circles of celebrities and politicians.

Nowhere is this mingling between culture and politics and a slide into debasement more evident than in the macabre performance art of Serbian-born artist Marina Abramovic. Abramovic is most famous for her performance pieces that dabble in occult ceremonies with celebrities like Lady Gaga and political audiences like those of John Podesta. From her Spirit Cooking pieces, where she summons the spirits of the dead over dinner by painting incantations in human blood and semen on the wall, to guests consuming depictions of the human body lying in pools of blood at celebrity galas, Abramovic takes the macabre to the next level.

Historically, one might consider this cultural debasement Satanic in nature, and one would be correct. Where he would be incorrect is in assuming that they necessarily assume worship of some dark and fiery horned figurehead with a bifurcated tongue. In the Bible, Satan was an angel of God and the most beautiful of them all. He thought of himself as God and was cast down from Heaven. This is the true nature of Satanism: a worship of self. Thus, the ultimate expression of ego is to give away our souls in exchange for personal glory.

Our society has been referred to as a selfie generation, a picture of our fascination with ourselves. Facilitated by our screens and devices, we shunned the surrounding world until the world came to surround us, literally and figuratively. Our politics are just a reflection of that.

Identify any cause of cultural import on the right, such as opposing abortion or transgenderism. You'll find a slew of half-hearted activists in a hurry to virtue-signal their bona fides without intending to become tangibly involved in their local pregnancy or crisis counseling centers. Our slacktivism is another promotion of self and contradicts God's command to practice righteousness without an audience.
7_209_19.gif

Observe the same causes from the left spectrum, and you'll find a more evident promotion of self. Abortion, which is sold as a medical necessity, has become a tool of convenience and self-advancement. Transgenderism may be the height of self-interest, as it requires the surrounding world to reject objectivity to adopt the self-image of the afflicted.

If politics is downstream from culture, and our cultural woes stem from an infatuation with ourselves, then it stands to reason that fixing our politics requires first dying to ourselves. The Bible says that the last shall be the first, and the first shall be the last. While there is no panacea for an increasingly narcissistic humanity, only a commitment to others without a reservation can begin to heal our cultural decay.

Irish Government to Criminalize Hate Speech, Effectively Silencing Those who Hold Different Opinions- Penalty is up to 5 Years Imprisonment

By Jim Hoft
Published November 27, 2022 at 7:00pm

The Irish government is now planning to criminalize hate speech and hate crimes, which is expected to become law before the end of the year.

So, who is going to make the decision on what ‘hate’ speech is?

Anything that the communist, socialist, or dictator regime views as offensive is considered hate speech. The definition of “hate speech” is an attempt to silence you.

“The new legislation will criminalize any intentional or reckless communication or behavior that is likely to incite violence or hatred against a person or persons because they are associated with a protected characteristic,” the government said.

If you are found guilty of this offense, you could face a sentence of five years in prison.

“It will also create new, aggravated forms of certain existing criminal offenses, where those offenses are motivated by hatred of a protected characteristic. These will carry an enhanced penalty and the criminal record will clearly state that the offense was a hate crime,” the government added.

According to Helen McEntee, Minister for Justice of Ireland, hate speech is not about free speech. She said hate speech is intended to silence people and to make them afraid to open up.

“We are all horrified when we hear of homophobic, racist, and other hateful incidents in our country. While these repulsive acts of violence and abuse against innocent people have been extensively reported on, we know that some people go about their lives constantly in fear of abuse simply because of who they are,” she said

“Although it is a small minority of individuals carrying out these reprehensible acts and spouting this abuse, there is a clear desire from the public that these individuals need to be dealt with in the appropriate way.

“This Bill provides separately for hate crime and for hate speech, but on the basis of the same protected characteristics.

“All provisions throughout the Bill have been carefully developed to ensure it is victim-centered and effective in securing convictions where serious crimes are committed, and the legislation follows extensive public consultation and research.”

BREAKING: Biden Admin Can’t Account for $20 Billion in Aid to Ukraine

By Joe Hoft
Published November 27, 2022 at 5:00pm

As TGP reiterated earlier today, we really have no idea where billions sent to Ukraine landed. Now the Biden Administration is admitting this is the case.

We reported moments ago that we have no idea where the billions allocated to Ukraine eventually landed.

Democrats’ “Newest Megadonor” Loses Billions As Crypto Exchange Fails — “Dot-Com Bust Level Event”

Since the war started, the US has sent more than $5o billion to Ukraine. Where has the money gone? We really don’t have any idea.

But we did get a clue recently with the fall of FTX. We learned that Ukraine was “investing” in FTX with money the US sent to Ukraine.

BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: Tens of Billions of US Dollars Were Transferred to Ukraine and then Using FTX Crypto Currency the Funds Were Laundered Back to Democrats in US

This morning, according to FOX News:

Biden’s administration is scrambling to track the nearly $20 billion in military aid it has sent to Ukraine as Republicans warn of impending audits when they take control of the House in January.
Likely future House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has said his party will not be giving Ukraine a “blank check” to fend off Russia’s invasion. A potential audit would determine how much, if any, of the U.S. aid is ending up in the wrong hands. The Biden administration’s previous tracking efforts have inspected only a fraction of the aid provided to the country.
The Republican push to ramp up oversight enjoys some bipartisan support in Congress. Some staunch Ukraine allies fear the party will cut off aid to the country entirely, however.

HUGE: Chris Wray Lied – Eight FBI Confidential Human Sources Were with the Proud Boys Alone on Jan. 6 – Wray Knew for Over a Year that FBI Infiltrated Jan. 6 Protests (VIDEO)

By Joe Hoft
Published November 27, 2022 at 3:00pm

Kash Patel shared in Kash’s Corner on Epoch TV that if the FBI had informants at the Jan 6 protests, then the FBI knew they had operatives in the crowd.

In a recent Epoch TV show, Kash Patel pointed out that the FBI had to know for up to a year that the Jan 6 protests were going to occur. If this is the case then the FBI must have known about the operatives in the crowd that day.

Chris Wray has repeatedly lied about this in front of Congress.

What is going on?

Kash Patel shared on his show, Kash’s Corner that the FBI has to train confidential human sources for a year before putting them into action. In this case there were 8 confidential FBI informants at the Jan 6 protests with the Proud Boys, several more with the Oath Keepers, and several others in the crowd

If this is the truth then Wray lied repeatedly to Congress.

The Storm Has Arrived shared this important video on Telegram:

Kash brings up a very interesting point. It’s recently been reported that there were 8 FBI confidential human sources (at least) at the Capitol on January 6th. If true, it means the FBI was planning for January 6th for about a year prior to the event.
If they were planning this for at least a year, you know what else they were planning? A stolen election.

Here is the transcript from Kash Patel on Chris Wray and his FBI operatives on January 6.

Kash Patel: From a former federal prosecutor perspective, let me just give you that lens. If we’re to believe the reporting that there’s eight, not one, eight confidential human sources and possibly even dressed in pro-Trump gear, you have to hit a timeout button and say, wait a second. It’s not like the FBI found these people and said on January 5 and said, go forth. A confidential human source for the Federal Bureau of Investigation requires a minimum of a six-month onboard vetting process. Then you have to go through the rules and regulations on how to be a confidential human source.
And once all of that happens and the FBI does their own internal verification to approve not just your background but your relationships and your financial stability, do you have ties to enemies of the United States and things like that? There’s an extensive process there. We exposed. We being Devon and I when we ran Russia Gate, we expose Christopher Steele’s source verification process at the FBI, which at the time was classified but now has been put out. When the FBI themselves determined Christopher Steele would basically be a terrible source.
But they decided to use him anyway because they needed him to COVID up their corruption. Now let’s relate that to January 6. How do we have eight people there and Christopher Ray, we’ll get to him in a second refused to answer questions about it. You have to ask yourself, okay, well, that was in planning for at least a year. What was the FBI doing planning January 6 for a year?
Christopher Wray has testified that the FBI never instigated or helped the January 6 protesters commit crimes. Then there was a testimony from the FBI and Christopher Wray about January 6 where he says, we, the FBI had no evidence that January 6 was going to happen. The two cannot coexist. Jan, you either have eight confidential human sources who have been working for a year and placing them in specific groups and locations for January 6 or you don’t have evidence that January 6 is going to happen. Now we have caught Christopher Lord Ray and yet another lie to Congress because these confidential human sources would have been reported by mandate and the law to the FBI the entire time they were working in these groups and working with these people and working with individuals that were there on January 6.
You can’t just AirDrop them in. So when Christopher Ray told the world that the FBI had no quality or no verifiable or credible evidence that January 6 was going to happen, that’s a complete and total lie because they had placed the FBI confidencial human sources there. Now the millions of questions that follow are who do they place? Where do they place them? How do they verify them?
What do they get paid? And then why is the FBI lying to the world about their involvement in January 6? And look at the end of the day, it could be completely innocent. You have to always keep that as a former federal prosecutor, you have to always keep that in mind. But their track record suggests strongly the opposite of the individuals we’ve outlined and how they’ve used their confidential human Source corruption cover-up network to do just that.
Cover up the FBI and DOJ’s own corruption. And if it happens yet again, I don’t think that this FBI leadership has the ability to stand up in front of Congress and say, we can continue to lead the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and there needs to be some serious change.

American Consumers’ Sentiment on Economy Plummets, New Survey Shows

Nick R. HamiltonNovember 27, 2022 - 10:06 am3 Comments

Sentiment regarding the U.S. economy is plummeting among American consumers, a new survey has revealed.

Consumer sentiment fell this month, despite upwardly revised figures, according to the University of Michigan.

In a newly released survey, the consumer sentiment index for November had deteriorated less than expected and was revised to 56.8 from initial projections of 54.7 percent.

The results were better than most economists’ expectations with the upward revision, but still below October’s reading of 59.9, despite the improved numbers.

“Consumer sentiment fell 5% below October, offsetting about one-third of the gains posted since the historic low in June,” said the survey’s director, Joanne Hsu.

“Along with the ongoing impact of inflation, consumer attitudes have also been weighed down by rising borrowing costs, declining asset values, and weakening labor market expectations,” she noted.

There was almost a 6 percent drop between October and November in the current economic conditions index and a slight drop in annual inflation expectations.

Current economic conditions fell to 58.8 in November from 65.6 in October, while the index of consumer expectations tumbled to 55.6 from 56.2.

The gauge, which measures consumers’ outlook on their own financial situation and the current state of the economy, stood far higher a year ago at 73.6.

"Uncertainty over these expectations remained at an elevated level, indicating that the general stability of these expectations may not necessarily endure,” Hsu said.

About 60 percent of consumers have already scaled back their spending in response to inflation and many are planning to further cut spending over the next 12 months, according to a separate University of Michigan survey.

Many respondents said that they were increasingly reluctant to borrow for major purchases, suggesting a sharp decrease in spending, as consumers start to increasingly draw on their savings to pay bills.

About 8 percent of households have reported that they are less likely to purchase items with large price increases over the next year, while another 51 percent of families said they were cutting back on their overall spending.

“Along with the ongoing impact of inflation, consumer attitudes have also been weighed down by rising borrowing costs, declining asset values, and weakening labor market expectations,” according to Hsu.

Consumer sentiment improved at the beginning of the fourth quarter, as gasoline prices sank from record highs but prices for necessities started to rise.
Higher prices and a responding jump in borrowing rates have led to slower economic growth, causing many households to be more conservative about future financial plans.

Meanwhile, Americans’ year-ahead view of inflation dropped to 4.9 percent in November from 5.0 percent last month.

Five-year long-run inflation expectations have risen slightly to 3 percent this month from 2.9 percent in October.

The Federal Reserve has been paying close attention to inflation expectations as a key gauge of future price trends.

However, the chance of a serious recession has been increasing, while the Fed continues its aggressive rate hike policy to control high inflation.

Based on data from the Consumer Price Index from October, the latest annual inflation rate is at 7.7 percent, which the central bank hopes to reduce to 2 percent by the end of 2023.

This week, a report by the Commerce Department saw orders for durables, such as appliances and cars, drop this month after making gains in October, falling 19 percent from its September level due to high interest rates and rising costs.

Fiscal Crises in American Cities

Vance Ginn
– November 27, 2022Reading Time: 3 minutes

Many cities across the nation are facing a fiscal crisis. While pandemic-related problems that were self-induced or otherwise play a part, many of these issues have plagued cities for a long time. A serious cultural shift concerning finances among local governments is critical if people want to flourish in cities.

I recently interviewed Mark Moses who is a municipal government expert and author of the recently published book The Municipal Financial Crisis: A Framework for Understanding and Fixing Government Budgeting. He contends that “many local governments are on track for bankruptcy.” And this downward trajectory can be expected to continue as municipalities fail to restrain their spending and overreach, crowding out opportunities for the private sector to work.

We’re seeing this play out in places like New York City, where city-funded expenses have been asked to be cut by 3% and on track to be slashed more in response to their recently reported $10 billion deficit.

Moses says that “there’s a lack of economic understanding in lots of municipalities.” This absence of understanding often results in collecting more taxes to fund more “solutions” as a band-aid to the broken system and struggling local finances. As he puts it, “local governments give up trying to balance budget sheets.”

But failing to assess and address the tangled economic approach that’s led them to a place where more taxes and regulations seem like the only answer leads to long-term issues and a path that’s difficult to leave.

Local governments must limit their scope and focus on core issues. That means letting new initiatives and departments take a back seat while they get spending under control.

This is difficult, however, especially after the 2021 American Rescue Plan Act that gave $45.6 billion to municipalities, which temporarily and artificially inflated local finances. More money under lousy management is a weak fix. And now, with rising inflation and energy costs, these municipalities are ill-equipped to thrive in a recession that wasn’t helped by the huge bailout package.

A good start to overcoming these challenges would be to get government out of the way in most cases so that the the private sector can solve key issues, which has proven to be the best antidote for most problems throughout history.

Overinflating their role instead of sticking to limited governing, such as property rights and a few public goods, is a trap that many cities fall into and that comes at a huge cost. But philanthropic and other private-led solutions tend to be crowded out through higher taxes and regulations when city hall makes promises they can’t fulfill.

Moses describes this as municipalities “seeing themselves as an end to themselves,” which is why many local governments resist spending limits or find ways around them.

This is an ongoing issue in Texas which is contributing to an affordability crisis.

Texas is blessed to have constitutional amendments against state-controlled personal income taxes or property taxes, so all property taxes are local in Texas. While there have been attempts recently by the state to limit their growth, property taxes have increased by 169% in the past 20 years compared with an increase of 104% in the rate of population growth plus inflation. This indicates that property taxes are growing well above the average taxpayer’s ability to pay for them.

Some argue that Texas has high property taxes because it has no personal income taxes. But the reality is that it is really from excessive local government spending.

For example, Texas has the 6th most burdensome residential property tax according to the Tax Foundation but other states without a personal income tax like Florida and Tennessee rank 26th and 36th, respectively. This is because the latter two states do a better job restraining spending.

The best way to get budgets and taxes back on a fiscally conservative track is through a strict spending limit that covers the entire budget and grows no more than the rate of population growth plus inflation. This would help cities, and all local governments, stick to just addressing what’s in their purview.

A city’s scope shouldn’t be evaluated from one council meeting to the next but should be assessed in the long term if its local government hopes to see future success and a prosperous economy.

The same principles of economic success apply to all government institutions; people flourish where liberty is preserved, and that’s best achieved under limited government whereby politicians’ interventions remain inside their limited scope so that free markets and free people can innovate and thrive.

Just as we’re witnessing with this recession, there’s always a trade-off to overspending and unbalanced budgets. The sooner local governments realize that and reel in their spending, which is the ultimate burden of government, the sooner financial crises will be averted.

1.8M Chickens Slaughtered In Nebraska As Bird Flu Pecks Away At Food Supply

SUNDAY, NOV 27, 2022 - 08:00 PM

Another 1.8 million chickens were ordered to be culled in Nebraska after agriculture officials analyzed yet another bird flu outbreak on a farm.

The latest culling comes after 50 million birds have been slaughtered nationwide to try and contain the ongoing outbreak according to AP, so who knows if it's actually true.

Fortunately the Nebraska Department of Agriculture (NDA) issued a report, which adds that this is the 13th farm in the state to suffer an outbreak this year. According to the report, 6.8 million birds have been killed in Nebraska - the second-most behind Iowa, which has killed 15.5 million.

After the affected flock is culled, the NDA will establish a 6.2-mile control zone around the affected premises.

Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) is a highly contagious virus which spreads easily among birds via nasal and eye secretions, along with manure, the NDA said in a statement. Symptoms include a lack of energy and appetite, decreased egg production or malformed eggs, and sudden death in birds even if they aren't showing symptoms.

The disease can survive 'for weeks' in contaminated environments.

According to Yahoo, Turkey and chicken farms aren't the only facilities affected by bird flu this year - as a petting zoo in Utah had an outbreak in recent days.

Report: Thousands of Migrants Waiting in Mexico to Rush U.S. Border When Title 42 Ends

Thousands of migrants are camped out in Mexico, waiting to rush the United States-Mexico border when the Title 42 public health authority — used to quickly remove illegal aliens — ends in a few weeks at the request of President Joe Biden’s administration.

This month, a federal judge struck down Title 42 — the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) authority first imposed by former President Trump in 2020 to allow Border Patrol agents to quickly remove illegal aliens arriving at the southern border.

Rather than appealing the judge’s decision, Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas asked the court for five weeks to wind down Title 42.

As a result, reports indicate that thousands of migrants are waiting in Juarez, Mexico, as well as Tijuana, Mexico, in camps for Title 42 to end in the coming weeks so they can get their chance to rush the southern border.

1669613938684.png

Morgan Smith, reporting for El Paso Inc., traveled to migrant camps in Juarez and Palomas, Mexico to find thousands waiting for Title 42 to end:

On a recent Saturday, I made my third trip to the tent camp set up by hundreds of Venezuelan migrants in Juárez, just across the Rio Grande from the Border Patrol processing center in El Paso. [Emphasis added]

On this same Nov. 19 trip, I visited the Respettrans shelter in Juárez, which was housing almost double the number of migrants it normally does. I also visited shelters in Deming, New Mexico, and Palomas, Mexico. Both are full. [Emphasis added]

Alejandro Mayorkas, secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), in Washington, DC, on Thursday, November 17, 2022. (Ting Shen/Bloomberg)

Likewise, migrants in Juarez told Border Report that they are waiting out the next few weeks before they rush the southern border. Meanwhile, inewsource reported that about 14,000 migrants are waiting in Tijuana for Title 42 to end.

“We will stay here until those four weeks pass. That is the goal, to get ahead and so our children can have a better future,” one migrant from El Salvador said.

“I am hopeful that I will get to cross, and God will be with me on my journey,” another migrant told Border Report. “I have faith.”

Already, the Biden administration has been imposing an expansive Catch and Release policy that has seen an estimated 5.5 million encounters along the border and about 1.4 million border crossers and illegal aliens released into American communities since February 2021.

Daily, Biden is welcoming at least 6,200 border crossers and illegal aliens at the border.

Without Title 42, Biden officials have previously admitted that up to half a million border crossers and illegal aliens — the equivalent of the population of Atlanta, Georgia — could arrive at the border every month.

Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) told Breitbart News in April that he expects 30,000 border crossers and illegal aliens every day at the border without Title 42. In Tijuana, Mexico, alone, Breitbart News exclusively reported months ago that up to 6,000 foreign nationals were waiting to rush the border when Title 42 is ended.

Protests across China as anger mounts over zero-Covid policy

Hundreds of people took to the streets in China’s major cities on Sunday to protest against the country’s zero-Covid policy, in a rare outpouring of public anger against the state.

China’s hardline virus strategy is stoking public frustration, with many growing weary of snap lockdowns, lengthy quarantines and mass testing campaigns.

A deadly fire on Thursday in Urumqi, the capital of northwest China’s Xinjiang region, has become a fresh catalyst for public anger, with many blaming Covid lockdowns for hampering rescue efforts. Authorities deny the claims.

On Sunday night, at least 400 people gathered on the banks of a river in the capital Beijing for several hours, with some shouting: “We are all Xinjiang people! Go Chinese people!”

AFP reporters at the scene described the crowd singing the national anthem and listening to speeches, while on the other side of the canal bank, a line of police cars waited.

Cars honked in support as people remained in the area until the early hours, chanting and waving blank sheets of paper symbolising censorship.

Authorities blocked the road to stop cars passing, and around 100 plainclothes and police officers arrived on the scene.

At around 2:00 am (1800 GMT) they were joined by coaches of paramilitary police.

Eventually protesters agreed to leave after making officers promise their demands had been heard.

Shanghai clashes
In downtown Shanghai — China’s biggest metropolis — AFP saw police clashing with groups of protesters, as officers tried to move people away from the site of an earlier demonstration on Wulumuqi street, named after the Mandarin for Urumqi.

Crowds that had gathered overnight — some of whom chanted “Xi Jinping, step down! CCP, step down!” — were dispersed by Sunday morning.

But in the afternoon, hundreds rallied in the same area with blank sheets of paper and flowers to hold what appeared to be a silent protest, an eyewitness told AFP.

Social media videos from the area that appeared to be taken in the late afternoon showed the crowd chanting.

By evening, dozens of policemen in yellow high-vis jackets formed a thick line, cordoning off the streets where the protests had taken place.

AFP saw multiple people arrested as officers told demonstrators to leave the area.

A foreigner who wished to remain anonymous told AFP he had seen a standoff as police directed a crowd away from Wulumuqi street.

“The police appeared to be looking for individuals suspected of leading the protests,” he said.

“Protesters directed their anger at the police and the party, using the ‘step down!’ refrain of the last few days.”

By midnight the area was calm, though swamped by hundreds of police officers and dozens of cars lining both sides of the road in some places.

Men in hard hats and overalls were erecting tall blue metal barriers on the sides of the street, cutting off the pavement. When asked why, they said they did not know.

In the central megacity of Wuhan, where the coronavirus first emerged, multiple livestreams that were quickly censored showed crowds walking through the streets cheering and filming on their phones.

Footage of protests allegedly taken in major cities Guangzhou and Chengdu was also spreading online Sunday night, but AFP was unable to independently verify the videos.

University protests
Earlier in the day, around 200 to 300 students rallied at Beijing’s elite Tsinghua University to protest against lockdowns, one witness who wished to remain anonymous told AFP.

A video that appeared to be taken in the same location showed students shouting, “Democracy and the rule of law, freedom of expression”, and was quickly taken down.

Other vigils took place overnight at universities across China, including one at Tsinghua’s neighbour Peking University, an undergraduate participant told AFP.

He said some anti-Covid slogans had been daubed on a wall in the university.

Some of the words echoed a banner that was hung over a Beijing bridge just before the Communist Party Congress in October.

“I heard people yelling: ‘No to Covid tests, yes to freedom!’,” he said, adding there were between 100 and 200 people there.

Videos on social media also showed a mass vigil at Nanjing Institute of Communications, with people holding lights and white sheets of paper.

Hashtags relating to the institute were censored on Weibo, and video platforms Duoyin and Kuaishou were scrubbed of footage.

Videos from campuses in Xi’an, Guangzhou and Wuhan showing similar protests also spread on social media. AFP was unable to verify the footage independently.

‘Lift lockdowns!’
China reported 39,506 domestic Covid-19 cases Sunday, a record high but tiny compared to caseloads in the West at the height of the pandemic.

The protests come against a backdrop of mounting public frustration over China’s zero-tolerance approach to the virus and follow sporadic rallies in other cities.

Hundreds of people massed outside Urumqi’s government offices after the deadly fire, chanting: “Lift lockdowns!”, footage partially verified by AFP shows.

AFP verified the video by geolocating local landmarks but was unable to specify exactly when the protests occurred.

It is the latest in several high-profile cases where emergency services have been allegedly slowed down by Covid lockdowns.

The Qatar World Cup has also proved a flashpoint, as scenes of maskless fans provoked outrage on social media.

China’s state broadcaster has started cutting close-ups of supporters and replacing them with shots of officials or players.

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Rep. Michael Waltz (R-FL) stated that Secretary of State Pete Buttigieg hasn’t had enough involvement in trying to avert a potential rail strike, which, along with rising diesel costs, “will be a one-two shot to an already struggling economy.”

Waltz said that in addition to the cost of gas spiking if there’s a rail strike, “the cost of diesel is through the roof as well. You know, the average trucker used to spend 300, $400 to fill up his rig. Now, he’s spending over $1,000, and this will be a one-two shot to an already struggling economy. Again, we’ll see what they get done. And by the way, Steve, where’s Buttigieg on this, our vaunted Secretary of Transportation that should be fixing this problem? Remember, we had the ports problem just last year. So, they’re finding ways to continue to hurt our economy.”

Exclusive Video: German Govt Has ‘Mishandled Everything’ During Energy Crisis, Says MEP

KURT ZINDULKA 27 Nov 2022102

Video 4:37 min

A Member of the European Parliament (MEP) said that while some problems were inherited from the Angela Merkel era, the German government under Chancellor Olaf Scholz has mishandled “everything” during the energy crisis, resulting in economic calamity for Europe’s leading economy.

The doubling down on the green agenda and the sudden attempt to radically reduce reliance on Russian energy by the government of Social Democrat leftist Olaf Scholz over the past year have been “disastrous” for the German economy, Dr Gunnar Beck MEP said in an exclusive interview with Breitbart London.

“They have been in government for a good year now and everything seems to have been mishandled. Of course, they inherited a particular situation, Germany has been very dependent on Russian gas supplies for years now and it was Mrs Merkel who negotiated this,” he said.

“Now that we are trying to phase out Russian gas and other fossil fuels, it’s a disaster, because we have no energy security — Russia provided that — and prices for any possible substitutes, notably American LNG (liquid natural gas) are around four times as high compared to Russian gas.

“So for consumers, households, and for our industry, that’s a disaster. Inflation has been rising, it’s been a disaster all around.”

The German MEP said that it was a mistake by the government to immediately try to cut supplies of gas from Russia, arguing that Germany should have followed Hungary’s lead in acknowledging the dependence and dealing with that reality rather than risking an “economic crisis” by attempting to radically reduce supplies.

Last month, a declassified document from four months prior to the February invasion of Ukraine revealed that the German government of Angela Merkel — in which current chancellor Olaf Scholz served as finance minister — believed that increasing dependency on Russian gas through the opening of the now-scuppered Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline would “not jeopardise” Germany’s energy security.

This has not turned out to be the case, with the gas crisis wiping off tens of billions of euros from the German economy, the country already rationing their energy use, and citizens even cutting back on Christmas celebrations to reduce costs.

Dr Beck went on to lay blame for the country’s current predicament on decades of green agenda policies, in particular the decision by former chancellor Angela Merkel to phase out all nuclear power in Germany following the 2011 Fukushima disaster in Japan.

While the energy crisis has forced the Scholz government to extend the life of the country’s three remaining reactors, they are still set to be shut down — without replacement — by next April.

“We are dependent on gas, not just for heating but also for electricity generation. If we had kept our nuclear industry, which at the time nearly 20 years ago was about the most modern in Europe, we wouldn’t be in this mess,” the German MEP suggested.

“Climate and energy policies pursued over the last two decades have been disastrous. France, which has kept its nuclear reactors and is now launching a programme of building many more, is in a much more secure position.”

Bitter Truth’: EU Parliament Told It Has Done ‘A Lot of Damage’ to Europe at Anniversary Event

By Peter Caddle 27 Nov 2022

Seventy years after the founding of the forerunner to the European Union, the bloc has done “a lot of damage” to the continent, a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) said during a “birthday” event.

Professor Ryszard Legutko, a Polish MEP who serves as head of the right-wing European Conservatives and Reformists group, has lambasted the European Parliament in particular as having done “a lot of damage” to the continent during an anniversary event for the EU body held on Tuesday.

While many eurocrats have celebrated the supposed parliament’s role in Europe, Legutko lambasted the organisation as having significantly harmed Europe, saying that it now functioned to solely push the politics of the left.

“[T]he bitter truth is that the European Parliament has done a lot of damage in Europe,” the Law and Justice party politician said amid gasps from the floor of the assembly.

Legutko, a Plato scholar and professor of philosophy, went on to accuse the body of promulgating a false belief that there is a single European “demos” — that is, a common European nation capable of being properly represented in a single shared assembly — and warned that the body had been used as a vehicle to push leftist ideology without democratic accountability.

“It has been sending a false message it represents the European demos. There isn’t, and there won’t be any European demos,” he said, adding that it has “infected Europe with shameless partisanship and the infection became so contagious that it spread to other institutions such as the European Commission.”

“The Parliament has become a political vehicle of the left to impose their monopoly with their fierce intolerance towards any dissenting view,” the MEP continued. “No matter how many times you repeat the word ‘diversity’. Diversity is becoming an extinct species in the European Union and particularly in this chamber.”

“The idea that, say, Spanish, German, French, et cetera, deputies accountable to their own national electorates can dictate something to, shall we say, Hungarian society or any other society to which they cannot be held accountable and which cannot take them to task is simply preposterous,” he added.

“Call it what you will, but democracy it is not.”

1669615541290.png

While the almost four-minute speech appeared to provoke shock and outrage from a variety of people within the European Parliament building, Legutko’s sentiment that the body had caused harm to Europe while pushing a partisan agenda appears to be shared by a number of his fellow MEPs.

In a statement seen by Breitbart Europe, Dr Gunnar Beck MEP of the Identity and Democracy group also criticised the European Parliament, saying that it is now largely used by the unelected European Commission to push a further centralisation of the bloc.

“We fail at scrutiny,” the Alternative für Deutschland (Alternative for Germany/AfD) politician remarked.

“The European Parliament is unable to scrutinize [President of the European Commission Ursula] von der Leyen’s text messages to Pfizer’s CEO and is barred from information about the final beneficiaries of the €750 billion [Next Generation EU] bailout,” he alleged.

“Time and again, this [assembly] has proved to be the mouthpiece of the [European] Commission based on the Chinese model and a catalyst for more European integration,” Beck continued. “And now, following the conclusions of the Conference on the Future of Europe, the EU wants to make a final push to give this Parliament full powers of legislative initiative.”

“The result: more EU, more debt, and the abolition of national sovereignty and our national borders,” the German representative warned.

Integrity Lost
Like paradise, once lost, it can never be recovered

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” Mark 8:36
***
I am sure that in estimating every man's value either in private or public life, a pure integrity is the quality we take first into calculation, and that learning and talents are only the second.

Thomas Jefferson, Jerry Holmes (2002). “Thomas Jefferson: A Chronology of His Thoughts”, p.132, Rowman & Littlefield
***

Integrity. One of the three key guideposts along the road out of COVIDcrisis hell; integrity, dignity, community.

Integrity is a curious word. Triple meanings which buttress one to the other.
  • Steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code.
  • The state of being unimpaired; soundness.
  • The quality or condition of being whole or undivided; completeness.
The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, 5th Edition.

Human beings can be characterized by exhibiting integrity or it’s opposites, hypocrisy and deceit. Buildings can have structural integrity, or they can be unsound, a danger to inhabitants. Organizations can have integrity, or can be corrupt. And a Nation can have integrity, or be divided against itself.

Ed Dowd, Tom Lewis and their Maui colleagues diagnosed loss of integrity as a core problem contributing to the COVIDcrisis across virtually all governmental and corporate “verticals”, and developed a solution which they (generously) named the “Malone Doctrine”.

Subsequent events have validated their assessment.

One needs look no further than the latest headlines. Election integrity has become one of the most trending of hashtags (in USA, Brazil, and so many other places). Nord Stream (NS) and Nord Stream 2 (NS2) have been sabotaged, most certainly not by either Russia or Germany, but fearing retaliation no-one dares even whisper the name of the culprit all know to be responsible. The deep corruption associated with the Biden family is about to be revealed, as is the role of corporate media in trying to keep it from impacting elections. The omniscient Anthony Fauci has followed in the footsteps of Hillary Clinton and so many others in deploying the “I cannot remember” defense, but with a new wrinkle of belligerent defiance; recently testifying that “I have a very busy day job running a $6 billion institute. I don’t have time to worry about things like the Great Barrington Declaration.” Clear and compelling evidence released to Blaze Media under FOIA request document otherwise. During the COVIDcrisis, both CDC director Rochelle Walensky and Deborah Birx resorted to substituting “hope” for data in making major public health decisions, and then enforcing these decisions via deployment of highly refined psychological operations techniques against objecting United States Citizens. And then we have the cascading collapse of corruption known as the FTX scandal. Just to highlight some of the most recent examples.

I argue that the Imperial Administrative State which the United States Federal Government has been transformed into has clearly lost any semblance of integrity.

The “Malone Doctrine” document has an amazing backstory, as it brought together the sensibilities of a senior building inspector (Tom) and a seasoned financial analyst (Ed). As Tom points out, the International Building Code is a set of agreements which, when properly implemented during the construction of a building, will guarantee reliable integrity and functionality of the final structure. The “Malone Doctrine” was forged by Ed, Tom and colleagues essentially as an “international building code” for individuals and organizations. The subheading in the title is as significant as the content, for this is a “Declaration of Independence” from corrupted institutions.

I am often asked “What can we do to fix the <fill in the blank> federal agency?” And I have to say that the picture is grim, because agency after agency has been thoroughly corrupted. There is little or no structural integrity left. If these agencies were buildings, the only option an inspector like Tom would have would be to condemn them. They are tear downs. They must be rebuilt on solid ground beginning with new footings. And if the legal citizens of the United States will not do this, then others will do it for us. As any who have studied the infiltration of the Chinese CCP will attest, that corrupt and unethical expansionist organization is well on the way to doing it for us.

Like paradise, once integrity has been lost, it cannot be regained.

For what shall it profit a Nation, if it shall gain the whole world, and lose its own soul.

Think this through with me. Tom and Ed’s vision in this document is essentially a clarion for creation of a network of intentional communities, organizations, and people that share a commitment to integrity.

Deny no person the right to challenge, debate, petition, redress, examine or protest with facts and evidence any decision of this body.

Each of us now faces a series of binary decisions. Either this or that. Assuming that you are committed to personal sovereignty and guiding your own future, making your own decisions. To be blunt, not everyone wants to be free. Many just want to be told what to do. Which type of person do you chose to be? Sovereign and free, or dependent on the arbitrary and capricious favor of a monopolist cabal.

Are you willing to cast your lot with the Overlords and their Machines, and for you and your children to become post-modern indentured servants (with no escape other than death) living in a fourth industrial revolution hellscape under a centralized corporatist (ergo Fascist) totalitarian world government run by technocrats and economist/bankers?

Wonder what that will look and feel like? Read Huxley’s “Brave New World”, and then let’s talk some more. 1984, written by Huxley’s protégé Orwell is more often cited, but Huxley gets even closer to the dark reality envisioned by Britain’s King Charles III and his surrogate puppetmaster Klaus Schwab, which they refer to as “The Great Reset”.

Quoting from the Amazon review of the book;

Brave New World is a searching vision of an unequal, technologically-advanced future where humans are genetically bred, socially indoctrinated, and pharmaceutically anesthetized to passively uphold an authoritarian ruling order–all at the cost of our freedom, full humanity, and perhaps also our souls.

Sound familiar?

For those not inclined to pick up a book, I recommend GATTACA (the first DNA sequence used as a film title) as yet another fine example illustrating the near-term dystopia which the Overlords envision and seek to shape for all to inhabit.

If the future which King Charles III, Schwab and the infamous Silicon Valley darling Harari (the very title of whose most recent published ramblings proclaim that man is God) is not for you, and you do not like the idea of owning nothing and being happy living within a Globalized Fascist state, then what are your options?

The way things are going at this point, the most viable alternative seems to be to get working to build a parallel social structure which can exist alongside or even tunneled within the Fascist Imperial state, and which might eventually replace it. How could such an organization be structured?

Well, once upon a time, a group of merchants, landholders, and farmers faced the same problem when confronting another mad British King, George III. It was a period of intense intellectual ferment, and yielded the amazing legal policy consensus documents and treaty agreements known as the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights, which remain the definitive treatise on how to structure a limited representative government.

Strangely, both corporate media and the US “Democrat” political party have labeled those who remain committed to practicing the principles and defending the substance of these documents as “far right”, and apply the terms radical, far-far right, and even Fascist when seeking to define and demonize what is a fundamentally conservative political (and economic) position. These terms are applied to members of the current populist movement which seek to return to a limited Federal government, and who share an abiding commitment to an autonomous Nation which operates under those principles. A commitment to rekindling American Greatness. Simply stated, to making America great again.

For those who reject a World Economic Forum-managed Fascist totalitarian global state, and are committed to the fundamental principles defined in the US Constitution and Bill of Rights, the challenge is to define the alternative future which we wish for our children.

The anarchy of local warlords and “Mad Max” await future generations if we do not seize the opportunity to present an alternative positive vision which the persuadable middle views as a preferred option. Does any sane person imagine that the “shaped” future envisioned by Charles, Klaus, Harari and their financial partners can be sustained? This is a last gasp grab for power by the Imperium. They have over-reached, and the current system is already careening from crisis to crisis, teetering on the brink of collapse.

In previous essays, In previous essays, I have explored the alternative future vision of Chris Langan, and discussed a process for enabling a decentralized human network of communities as an alternative to the centralized Fascist dystopia which the WEF seeks to shape and force on us. But what processes, terms and conditions of engagement can we use to shape such a network of intentional communities? The starting point needs to be a clear understanding of shared guiding principles, and a realistic, enforceable commitment to those ideals. I have suggested that personal, institutional, and political commitment to integrity, human dignity, and community would be a good start.

But of all of those, and so many others, I believe that the starting point for rebuilding a world centered on a celebration and recognition of humanity (rather than economics and machines) is to insist on a verifiable commitment to integrity from each and every organization in business and government. Endorsement of a common set of principles akin to the “Malone Doctrine”, with independent audit and verification of compliance.

The WEF and its sponsors BlackRock, Vanguard, State Street and Bank of America have deployed the social credit scheme-like ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) scoring system in a remarkably short time, including “independent” ESG auditor organizations. I suggest that deployment and validation of Integrity standards would be both trivial and remarkably straightforward in comparison.

Once such a system is implemented, then one can start to choose to only do business with others who are committed to acting with integrity. Building business and trading networks with people and organizations who strive to demonstrate that they have integrity, and in this way are worthy of your trust. Which is what most of us want in both our business transactions and in our personal lives.

The power to shape the future which your children will inhabit is in your hands. It is time to begin building anew. First one step, then another, then another, and soon the journey will be well along.

Ousted PM calls off march on Islamabad to avoid further chaos but continues to press for early elections, possibly by pulling his PTI party out of regional assemblies

Sat 26 Nov 2022 20.42 EST

Pakistan’s former prime minister Imran Khan told tens of thousands of supporters on Saturday that he would fight until his “last drop of blood” in his first public address since being shot in an assassination attempt this month.

The shooting was the latest twist in months of political turmoil that began in April when Khan was ousted by a vote of no confidence in parliament.

Saturday’s rally was the climax of a so-called “long march” by Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party to press the government to call a snap election before parliament’s term expires in October next year.

“I have seen death from up close,” said Khan, who hobbled to the stage with a walking frame to speak to supporters from a plush seat behind a panel of bulletproof glass.

“I’m more worried about the freedom of Pakistan than my life,” he told the crowd. “I will fight for this country until my last drop of blood.”

Khan said on Saturday he was calling off his protest march to Islamabad because he feared it would cause havoc in the country. The protests were to culminate in a march to Islamabad which threatened to worsen political turmoil in the nuclear-armed country, which is also battling an economic crisis.

“I have decided not to go to Islamabad because I know there will be havoc and the loss will be to the country,” Khan told a gathering of thousands of supporters in the garrison city of Rawalpindi, near the capital, Islamabad.

Khan attracts cultish devotion from supporters but on Saturday made his speech hundreds of metres from the bulk of the crowd of around 25,000 to 30,000, separated by coils of barbed wire and a buffer of police officers. Mobile phone signals were jammed in the vicinity.

Khan supporters arrived in their tens of thousands to hear their leader speak in Rawalpindi

A police official told local television channel Geo TV that a total of 10,000 personnel had been deployed for the event, with snipers positioned at various points for his security. Khan said on Saturday he had been told by various security sources there was still a threat to his life.

The interior minister, Rana Sanaullah – who Khan accuses of being involved in the assassination plot – issued a “red alert” on Friday, warning of security threats to the rally. He listed Pakistan’s Taliban and al-Qaida among the extremist groups that could harm Khan.

Authorities threw a ring of steel around nearby Islamabad to prevent his supporters from marching on government buildings, with thousands of security personnel deployed and roads blocked by shipping containers.

Khan also said he was consulting his party, the PTI, on the possibility of resigning from all provincial assemblies in a fresh bid to push for early elections. PTI has already resigned from the federal parliament, but remains in power in two provinces and two administrative units.

The ousted leader was shot in the shin on 3 November when his anti-government protest convoy came under attack in the east of the country, in what his aides said was a clear assassination attempt by his rivals.

He named the prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif, and a senior military official of plotting his assassination, but both the government and military have denied involvement. Sharif has called for a transparent inquiry. One person has been arrested over the incident and said he acted alone.

Pakistani security officials secure the venue of Khan’s rally amid warnings of threats on his life.

Saturday’s rally took place two days after the government named a former spymaster under Khan as the next military chief. General Syed Asim Munir’s appointment ended months of speculation over a position long considered the real power in the nuclear-armed Islamic nation of 220 million people.

Munir served as chief of the Inter-Services Intelligence agency under Khan, but his stint ended after just eight months after the pair reportedly fell out.

Pakistan’s military, the world’s sixth-largest, is hugely influential in the country and has staged at least three coups since independence in 1947, ruling for more than three decades.

Yet China is held up by Klaus Schwab as the role model for his great reset.

Are we paying attention yet?

EPA to Spend $13 Billion on ‘Environmental Justice’ and Climate

BY REALCLEARWIRE
NOVEMBER 28, 2022 AT 9:21AM

By Adam Andrzejewski for RealClear Policy

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has $13 billion from the Inflation Reduction Act to fight “climate crisis” and advance “environmental justice” and is asking the public for ideas on how to spend it, according to Fox News.

The funds give people “the unprecedented opportunity to make lasting progress to equitably protect people and the planet from air pollution and climate change,” said Joseph Goffman, principal deputy assistant administrator for EPA’s Office of Air and Radiation.

In seeking the public’s input, he added, “We are eager to engage with all who have a stake in the success of these efforts, and our next steps will be guided by the wisdom and experience from the conversations we have and the feedback we receive over the next several months.”

The EPA’s website calls the money “an historic amount of funding” and seeks input through Jan 18, 2023, about six different grant programs, including how to spend money on climate pollution reduction, transportation programs, reducing methane emissions, addressing air pollution, low emissions electricity, and more.

There’s $50 million dedicated for air monitoring in “communities that are underserved, historically marginalized, and overburdened by pollution” funding 132 air monitoring projects in 37 states.

About $30 million will come from the Inflation Reduction Act, and $20 million will come from the American Rescue Plan.
How this program, hailed by the EPA as “largest investment to combat the climate crisis in U.S. history,” will reduce inflation, is not clear.

Biden to Call on Congress to Intervene in Rail Labor Dispute

By PRO FARMER EDITORS November 28, 2022

With less than two weeks from a railroad strike deadline, President Biden plans to call on Congress to take action to avert a shutdown of the country’s freight railroads, the Washington Post reported, citing an official briefed on his plans.

Union officials have said it’s looking increasingly unlikely the unions and major rail freight carriers would reach a deal over lingering issues before a Dec. 9 strike deadline, renewing pressure on Congress and the White House to intervene.

Four out of 12 unions that represent the majority of U.S. freight railroad workers have voted down tentative agreements, brokered by the White House, citing frustration over lack of paid sick time and punitive attendance policies.

All twelve unions need to vote individually to ratify their contracts. If one union moves to strike, all of the unions — which represent more than 115,000 rail workers — would likely move in solidarity, triggering an industry-wide work stoppage.

It remains unclear what Congress would impose, but it would likely be a version of an agreement recommended by a Biden-appointed board earlier this year that was rejected by the unions. Some unions have been lobbying Congress in recent weeks to add paid sick days to the deal.

Biden Administration Clears Chevron to Produce, Export Venezuelan Oil

By JIM WIESEMEYER November 28, 2022

The Biden administration Saturday announced it would allow Chevron to produce and export Venezuelan oil after the country agreed to restart talks with opposition groups.

A senior Biden administration official insisted the move was not aimed at addressing oil market pressures.

"This action is not being taken in response to energy prices, this is a limited license,” the official said. “As we have said in the past, this is about the regime taking the steps needed to support the restoration of democracy in Venezuela.”

The official said much of the crude that would be produced and exported under the license would probably have reached the market anyway via the black market.

Venezuela's Crude Oil Production

The license would still bar Venezuela’s PdVSA, the state-owned oil company, from receiving any profits from the oil sales in the joint venture with Chevron.

Biden Admin Refuses To Condemn China’s Lockdown Policies Amid Mass Uprising

Daily Caller News Foundation logo
MICAELA BURROW
REPORTER
November 28, 2022

The Biden administration refused to condemn China’s draconian COVID-19 lockdown policies Monday, even as the Communist Party’s pandemic regime has spurred massive protests across the country.

General Secretary Xi Jinping has championed a “Zero COVID” lockdown strategy that aims to completely eliminate the virus from Chinese society, but also required severe, weeks-long isolation periods that reportedly saw people throw themselves from high-rise buildings in attempt to escape quarantine and authorities welding apartment entrances shut. Thousands of people in cities across the country rose up on Friday in protests that quickly morphed from expressions of dissatisfaction with the Zero COVID policy to rage against the authoritarian regime, according to media reports and videos on social media.

However, the Biden administration has refused to condemn the repressive lockdown policies or China’s response to the protest movement, even after the Daily Caller News Foundation reached out multiple times.

“We’ve said that Zero COVID is not a policy we [are] pursuing here. And as we’ve said, we think it’s going to be very difficult for the People’s Republic of China to be able to contain this virus through their zero COVID strategy,” a spokesperson for the National Security Council told the DCNF. The State Department reiterated that same statement.

Xi’s signature Zero COVID policy involved extensive contact tracing, testing and quarantine measures, often confining millions of people to their homes for weeks at a time. Lockdowns led to widespread hunger, medicine shortages, looting and feelings of social isolation, while the CCP censored online dissent, according to The New York Times. Videos appeared to depict pandemic workers performing mass exterminations of household pets.

After a fire at a residential building in Urumqi, in Xinjiang province, killed at least 10 people on Thursday, social media users shared videos of the burning building and claimed that locked doors, barriers and other COVID-19-related restrictions on building access prevented tenants from escaping or firefighters from reaching the flames.

Protests broke out in Urumqi on Friday, with people reportedly shouting “stop lockdown” and “we are human beings.”

The protests quickly caught on nationwide. Demonstrators in the capital city of Beijing shouted “no to nucleic acid tests yes to freedom, freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of cinema, rule of law” early on Monday, according to AFP.

1669673599457.png

The White House did not respond to questions from the DCNF on whether the U.S. would speak out against China’s authoritarian COVID-19 policies or express solidarity with protesters advocating for liberty.

“We’ve long said everyone has the right to peacefully protest, in the United States and around the world. This includes in the PRC,” the NSC spokesperson told the DCNF.

City authorities responded to the protests by easing some COVID-19 restrictions even as they tightened security measures and searches of personal electronic devices and arresting an unknown number of people.

In the Biden family bank account!

'COVID Tyranny is Born': New Fauci Email Shows He Knew Masks Were 'Ineffective,' Wanted Americans Masked Anyway

"In Feb ‘20 he emailed a friend advising her masks were ineffective. Confirmed again on Mar 31."

Kyle Becker
7hr ago

During Dr. Anthony Fauci's seven-hour deposition for a lawsuit, further evidence was revealed that showed Fauci knew that masks were "ineffective" for stopping Covid-19, but he nonetheless supported the mask mandates anyway.

On Friday, Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt tweeted the revelation about the nation's top Covid doc:

1669673954598.png
https://twitter.com/Eric_Schmitt/status/1596173185783070721
"Another tidbit from Fauci depo: In Feb ‘20 he emailed a friend advising her masks were ineffective. Confirmed again on Mar 31. On Apr 3 he’s adamant masks should be worn even though he couldn’t cite a single study to prove it. Mandates followed—Lives ruined.

"COVID tyranny is born," Schmitt added.

Fauci thus privately conceded that masks do virtually nothing to stop Covid-19, as was subsequently demonstrated by sky-high case rates in high-mask-compliance nations around the globe. Seroprevalence data show that nearly every American in the United States has been exposed to SARS-CoV-2 — mask or no mask.

This is not the first email showing that Fauci knew that what he was telling the American public about masks was misleading at best.

A brief overview of the email “context” Fauci demands is laid out in a June 1, 2021 article at the National Pulse. The email shows Dr. Fauci’s response to an Obama staffer about wearing masks diverges from what he told the public.

The text from Fauci's email can be read below:

Masks are really for infected people to prevent them from spreading infection to people who are not infected rather than protecting uninfected people from acquiring infection. The typical mask you buy in the drug store is not really effective in keeping out virus, which is small enough to pass through the material. It might, however, provide some slight benefit in keep out gross droplets if someone coughs or sneezes on you. I do not recommend that you wear a mask, particularly since you are going to a vey low risk location. Your instincts are correct, money is best spent on medical countermeasures such as diagnostics and vaccines.
Fauci later remarked about the mask email: “It is a complicated issue.”

It's not really complicated: Masks don't work and did untold damage to millions of schoolchildren throughout the Covid pandemic. If there is any justice in this world, Dr. Fauci will face accountability for his deceptive and pernicious actions.

Are Chinese protesters demanding freedom, or just a little less tyranny?

The Chinese social contract is far separate from the classical Western social contract.

Jordan Schachtel

Will the Covid Zero protests in China bring significant change to Beijing? I’m not so sure.

Millions of brave Chinese nationals have taken to the streets this month in opposition to the maniacal, years-long Covid Zero policies implemented by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Covid Zero, the pseudoscientific attempt to eliminate a submicroscopic infectious particle from within the boundaries of a nation, has resulted in devastation and ruin to the citizens of China. Much of China’s 1.4 billion strong population has spent a significant amount of time since 2020 stuck in rolling lockdowns. Sadly, the lockdowns have become a point of national pride for the CCP, showcasing Chinese compliance with tyranny as evidence of cultural superiority and ethnic supremacy.

But finally, after years of horrendous abuses, some have understandably had enough.

https://video.twimg.com/ext_tw_video/1596888317068460035/pu/vid/320x568/xr69Ja0_TEbSfNj9.mp4?tag=14 1:23 min

One thing you can’t help but notice is that virtually all of these protesters are donning masks.

https://video.twimg.com/ext_tw_video/1596857924386787328/pu/vid/1280x720/lUkL9rzc_-YyMbwP.mp4?tag=12 .29 min

Yes, there’s the initial possibility that they are doing so to avoid surveillance measures, similar to the protest movements in other nations.

You’re challenging the traditional status quo, then why are you still paying expensive insurance premiums?

Experience the freedom and affordability of cash payments and community-funded healthcare with CrowdHealth. Use promo code “DOSSIER” during sign-up for a special discounted subscription offer.

However, China has the most sophisticated and robust security state in the world. If CCP security officials want to find someone, the mask won’t do citizens much good. It may take a little more effort for the police to identify protesters, but in the end, they will certainly be unmasked by authorities.

https://video.twimg.com/ext_tw_video/1596804663004876801/pu/vid/480x272/6t4reRvAONQ_PzOF.mp4?tag=12 .28 min

The widespread mask usage is more so indicative of a people who have bought into the deadly virus narrative. It showcases subservience to both collectivism and statism. Already a pre-Covid staple of Chinese culture, the mask now represents obedience and compliance towards the “greater good.”

The Chinese protesters, by and large, don’t seem to want what they interpret as a radical idea of freedom, but a more functional tyranny.

China’s protest movement is far different from the situation occurring in Iran, where protesters despise the regime, reject its values, and view the governing authorities as illegitimate. In China, protesters are opposing the Covid Zero fanaticism because they've taken the tyranny a little too far.

The Chinese social contract is uniquely separate from the classical Western social contract. In China, there is a widespread understanding that authoritarianism is a very necessary structure for a functioning and powerful Middle Kingdom. From an early age, Chinese nationals are propagandized to accept and embrace statism as a good thing because it protects order. To the modern Chinese man, Beijing’s evolution from a third world country to a global superpower is understood as evidence of a successful authoritarian structure.

It seems that Chinese citizens aren’t demanding freedom, but just a little less tyranny.

New York Times Decides Lockdowns are Actually Draconian and Economically Destructive when China Does Them

"Many were fed up with Mr. Xi ... and his 'Zero-Covid' policy, which continues to disrupt everyday life, hurt livelihoods and isolate the country," writes the Times in pacific unselfawareness.

eugyppius

“Right-wing conspiracy theorists with ties to anti-Xi opposition elements spread baseless rumours, deny science, and endanger lives” – strangely not how the New York Times chose to caption this image.
Three years ago, Zero Covid was the aspiration of public health bureaucrats and politicians across the West. Charlatan techbros like Tomas Pueyo appeared on national television to demand nationwide house arrest; leaders like Angela Merkel surrounded themselves with virus-eradicationist modellers and imposed unprecedented months-long closures upon their countries. When protests inevitably broke out, they were violently suppressed; the protesters were slandered as conspiracy theorists and fascists.

The New York Times played a leading role in this long and excruciating charade. In April 2020, they reported that “an informal coalition of influential conservative leaders and groups, some with close connections to the [Trump] White House” was responsible for “quietly working to nurture protests and apply … pressure to overturn state and local orders intended to stop the spread of the coronavirus.” In March 2021, they ran an obnoxious opinion piece about What Happened When Germany’s Far-Right Party Railed Against Lockdowns, which called German protesters “an amorphous mix of conspiracy theorists, shady organizations and outraged citizens” and appeared to accuse the right-populist party Alternativ für Deutschland of opportunism for joining their ranks.

What a difference a few years have made.

China Protests Break Out as Covid Cases Surge and Lockdowns Persist is a lead headline in today’s New York Times: “Strict Covid restrictions are hurting the country’s economy and angering members of the public, who are taking to the streets,” we read in the article that follows. Western anti-lockdown protesters are fascists and conspiracy theorists; Chinese anti-lockdown protesters, on the other hand, are ordinary people who are just fighting the power:

“Lift the lockdown,” the protesters screamed in a city in China’s far west. On the other side of the country, in Shanghai, demonstrators held up sheets of blank white paper, turning them into an implicit but powerful sign of defiance. One protester, who was later detained by the police, was carrying only flowers.
Over the weekend, protests against China’s strict Covid restrictions ricocheted across the country in a rare case of nationwide civil unrest. There had been signs of dissent, but the new wave of anger may pose a bigger challenge for the government.
Some demonstrators went so far as to call for the Communist Party and its leader, Xi Jinping, to step down. Many were fed up with Mr. Xi, who in October secured a precedent-defying third term as the party’s general secretary, and his “zero-Covid” policy, which continues to disrupt everyday life, hurt livelihoods and isolate the country.

Western lockdowns were necessary to save lives. Chinese lockdowns are the repressive tactic of an undemocratic regime.

The Chinese government on Monday blamed “forces with ulterior motives” for linking a deadly fire in the western Xinjiang region to strict Covid measures, a key driver as the protests spread across the country.

In much the same way, the New York Times blamed shadowy political actors with ties to Trump for anti-lockdown protests in 2020.

Outside China, the rest of the world has adapted to the virus and is near normalcy. Take soccer’s premier event, the World Cup. Thousands of people from across the globe have assembled in Qatar and are cheering on their teams, shoulder-to-shoulder, without masks, in packed stadiums.
China’s approach won praise during the beginning of the pandemic, and there is no doubt it has saved lives. But now that approach looks increasingly outdated. Almost three years after the coronavirus emerged, the contrast between China and the rest of the world couldn’t be starker.

Emphasis mine, because it’s probably the most amazing line in the whole piece. Here we have America’s foremost propaganda outlet, trying desperately to accuse China of unjust dictatorial repression, for the crime of implementing in a more organised and coherent way the very same Zero Covid policies that Times journalists spent nearly two years supporting. What’s actually wrong with the harsh Chinese lockdowns? Well, say the Times, who can’t say anything else – they’ve become unfashionable.

Times journalists have also suddenly discovered that lockdowns are bad for the economy. “China’s economy has been hurt by the restrictions,” which have “hammered business both large and small,” we read. Major companies are seeking to escape the effects of closures by “expand[ing] production outside China”, all while “reduced foot traffic” hurts businesses in “the main streets of towns and cities.” That’s horrible when it happens in China, but in Germany or Canada it’s totally worth it.

On the one hand, we should be probably be happy about the implicit repudiation of lockdowns that articles like this represent, and the strong signal they send that none of our opinion makers wants to return to them. Some of you will have your own more detailed theories about why this is, but my broad view, is that mass containment adheres to the same trajectory everywhere:

1) There is the initial lockdown followed by a seasonally-induced collapse in cases, which encourages among policymakers to an illusion of control.
2) When infections inevitably surge the second time, they try to play the lockdown card again and again, always with less success.
3) Finally, in the face of growing protests and destruction, the policies are abandoned and everything reopens.

The only difference between China and the West, is that a few years intervened before the first and the second of these steps.

On the other hand, the increasingly open hypocrisy and manipulation of the press are reaching terrifying levels I’d never imagined before, and I think this is very bad.

Texas Rep Says DHS Are Complicit In Human Trafficking At The Border

KAY SMYTHE
NEWS AND COMMENTARY WRITER
November 27, 2022

Republican Texas Rep. Michael McCaul said Sunday that the Department of Homeland Security is complicit in human trafficking at the U.S. southern border with Mexico.

McCaul made the comment while appearing on ABC’s “This Week,” hosted by Martha Raddatz, who turned the topic to House Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s call for DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas to resign or face impeachment on Tuesday for his handling of the U.S. southern border with Mexico.

Raddatz asked whether McCaul supported McCarthy’s efforts against Mayorkas, to which he appeared to respond positively. McCaul stated that McCarthy’s work should really be focused on building a case against Mayorkas, noting examples such as fentanyl trafficking and the potential presence of terrorists entering the country illegally.

McCaul stated that Mayorkas has been “derelict in his responsibilities” to protect the nation, particularly with regard to young people who are dying at record rates from fentanyl overdoses and poisonings.

“They [DHS] are complicit with the biggest human trafficking event of our lifetime,” McCaul told Raddatz and others on the panel. “And I think the American people deserve some accountability.”

Just two months before migrant encounters surpassed 2 million on the southern border, Mayorkas claimed that the area was “secure” during the Aspen Security Forum. Dozens of suspected terrorists were flagged in the year leading up to his comments, along with discoveries and reports of rampant deaths and sexual assaults among those making the voyage across the border.

OPINION
LIZ WHEELER: Twelve Republican Senators Betrayed The Institution Of Marriage

LIZ WHEELER
CONTRIBUTOR
November 27, 2022

On November 16, all 50 Democratic senators and 12 of their Republican counterparts voted to advance the Respect for Marriage Act, circumventing the filibuster and paving the way for the bill’s imminent passage.

In what should come as a surprise to no one familiar with the insidious tactics utilized by the Marxists currently in control of our government, the goals of this bill are being completely misrepresented. It’s time we cleared up exactly what this bill means and break down the sinister ramifications of its potential passage.

At its core, this legislation would force the federal government to recognize any marriage that was performed according to a state law. If a same-sex couple gets married in a particular state— California, for example — then the federal government would be required to recognize that union.

There are at least three major problems that would necessarily result from this.

First, the bill amounts to a direct assault upon religious liberty. The anti-Christian, anti-Jewish, anti-Muslim, anti-religion, anti-God, secular mob will undoubtedly use this law to target people of faith. They will target non-profit organizations. They will target churches. They will target religious schools. You won’t be able to conduct business under the premise of the biblical definition of marriage or you will likely come under fire. As Rachel Bovard at the Conservative Partnership Institute notes, it even creates a cultural justification for market institutions such as banks to discriminate against people with traditional views, dovetailing effectively with the advent of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) social credit scores that can and are being utilized to reduce or eliminate one’s access to financial services based upon social values.

Which leads us to the second problem: this bill gives government the power to redefine words. This has nothing to do with sexual orientation or sexual attraction. It’s about the definition of the word marriage, and whether government at the federal or state level has the right to redefine what marriage is, and has always been, since before the inception of our country.

After all, if the federal government can be forced to recognize a same-sex union, what would the limitation be upon recognizing polygamous marriage? What about a marriage between an adult and a child? Once definitions become malleable and subject to political whimsy, they cease to have any meaning, and can be wielded against society at will. There are no limitations.

Our government does not have the right to redefine words. That is a core tenet of authoritarian rule.

Third — and perhaps most importantly — the bill will inherently become a legal catch-all for the Democratic Party’s radical progressive agenda, which hinges upon the deliberate Marxist goal of destroying the nuclear family and ultimately deconstructing our society’s moral fiber.

Among many other positives, traditional marriage between a man and woman is the best protector against child poverty and physical and mental health problems, while also being a bulwark against crime, drug use, and suicide. Moreover, we need children to populate our country’s next generation. It is in the national interest to support, encourage, and reward marriage between a man and a woman, and support parental rights to raise children according to the morals and values passed down through families for generations.

Instead, we now have drag queens parading in front of children as young as two within public schools and libraries — some of whom have been identified as pedophiles — indoctrinating children according to the state’s woke preferences. We have transgender surgeries regularly performed upon children, causing immense psychological damage in addition to the physical mutilation that is impossible to reverse. Our children are being inundated with LGBTQ teachings directly pushed by public schools, often at the expense of basic curriculum staples such as math and science.

Astoundingly, some of these teachings incorporate advocacy for pedophilia. In fact, many advocacy groups—which often have especially strong presences on college campuses — promote tolerance and acceptance of “Minor-Attracted Persons” (MAPs). College professors have even joined the pedophilia bandwagon. When pedophilia threatens to become normalized, we have a problem.

Beyond these incredibly concerning elements, one of the other tremendously worrisome aspects of this bill is that 12 Republicans said: okay, let’s get this done. This clearly shows us that these senators do not understand what we are fighting, that they are not aware of the political enemy we face.

Ultimately, this bill is not about equal rights or codifying gay marriage into law. This is a radical leftist agenda that assaults the rights of religious people and institutions, grants government virtually unlimited power to define truth and morality, and provides protection for perverted, anti-American individuals and organizations.

As a silver lining, perhaps this conveniently identifies which of our politicians need to be voted out of office. Anyone who votes in favor of this bill needs to go. Period. If you don’t understand what we’re fighting for, then you can’t fight for us. Good-bye. You’re fired.

The views and opinions expressed in this commentary are those of the author and do not reflect the official position of the Daily Caller.

To forgive or not? Nationalist leaders offered second chance after Covid policy blunders

Charisma is the X factor.

Jordan Schachtel

There are several politicians who appear to greatly regret their roles in facilitating the creation and expansion of the biomedical security state, but wouldn’t dare to admit. Even with the advantage of hindsight, very few have decided to spend much time relitigating their actions.

How do we deal with them moving forward?

And do they deserve a second chance to lead once more?

Whether you like it or not, advantageous politics in 2022 means never admitting to a bad decision, expressing regret, or apologizing for detrimental actions, regardless of one’s currently held sentiments about these previous decisions. The strategy of never apologizing under almost any circumstances has undoubtedly paid dividends to those who aspire to higher office. For the charismatic leader, apologizing betrays weakness, and passionate supporters of today’s charismatic leaders have made it clear that they don’t intend to request an apology anyway.

For the continually increasing class of politicians who are widely suspected of having unspoken regret about their Covid policies, these individuals seem to have fallen into two camps. One group takes pains to avoid any discussion about the issue, while the other prefers to rearrange the narrative into a more suitable frame.

Former President Donald Trump belongs in the latter class. In public, he frequently half-heartedly recycles a line about having saved millions of lives and developed a warpspeed vaccine. Trump never gets into too much detail and remains on script before quickly moving on to the next subject.

In the early days of Covid Mania, and crossing into the “vaccine” era, Donald Trump acted in parallel to the unanimous decisions made across the world.

There is no need to give a step by step rundown of 45’s actions. Most readers of The Dossier are already well aware of these fateful days and months. And through his reported private thoughts, it seems that there is no doubt that Trump is aware of how badly he screwed up (as it ended up costing him the presidency). Trump knows what it would mean to apologize for the historic botch job. For now, he has decided not to “own it.” He probably never will, at least on the record.

The Trump Covid strategy is not necessarily unwise, and it has paid dividends elsewhere.

Newly reinstated Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu provides evidence for the suitability of never apologizing or discussing past blunders. He is another world leader who lost his seat of power due to his own policies. Unlike Trump’s carefully crafted, bland Covid policy narrative, Netanyahu prefers not to discuss the issue at all. While forcing Israelis through devastating and truly insane lockdowns, Netanyahu also infamously executed the worst deal imaginable for his country, paying Pfizer a fortune to allow his citizens to have access to the shoddy mRNA gene therapies developed by the pharma giant.

View: https://youtu.be/7sEvUn0tcDI
3:05 min

Earlier this month, the Israeli public gave Netanyahu’s party enough votes to form a coalition that allowed him to lead once more.

Trump and Netanyahu are far from the only leaders to express unspoken regret in private for their roles in facilitating the last three years of awfulness, but they present a fascinating case study for two reasons.

First and foremost, if you ask their loyal supporters, many hold the Covid security state in absolute contempt. Trump and Netanyahu supporters are more likely to err on the side of freedom and national sovereignty. On the other side of the fence, plenty of unapologetic tyrants (many of whom still support the Safety Regime) have coasted to reelection thanks to their progressive authoritarian constituency.

Secondly, they possess great charisma, and both are bonded by strong nationalist sentiment. Trump and Netanyahu are given the benefit of the doubt because they are recognized as individuals who are leaders of nations, and not ideological globalists who would sell out their own nationals to Wilsonian ideals. At least according to their supporters, these leaders want to protect the interests of the citizens of their respective nations. The most fervent loyalists, despite their views on pandemic policy, have swiftly forgiven their sins with respect to Covid policymaking. However, the same sentiment would not be offered to the progressive authoritarian globalists.
