Reports: Anger Erupting across China
27 November 2022
Dripping Springs, Texas

Various reports attribute this to pandemic lockdowns. In my experience, the closer you get to the action the more you see these things are never that simple.

Guaranteed that as you get close and then into the middle of the action, you learn the uprisings are about a complex web of issues that result in broad conditions of discontent, anger, and disgust with the regime.

For instance, the closer you get the more you realize this will be about food, energy, jobs, prices, and far more, such as police brutality, and general arrogance from government.

People will put up with a lot of crap until the government crosses some magical line where the people are angry, disgusted, and their hatred of tyrants overwhelms their fear and they start capping people. Or, in China’s case, they often go for blades and bombs. Chinese are famous for IEDs.

Chinese did, after all, invent gunpowder, and they brought fireworks into the realm of art.

Scientists can now grow wood in a lab without cutting a single tree

Lukas/Pexels

The irony of the world is that almost every ‘save the forests’ meeting and conference happens inside a well-furnished room that is decorated with furniture made by cutting trees. The market for wood-derived products stood at $631 billion in 2021, and despite all the efforts that environmentalists have been putting in to prevent deforestation activities, it is expected to cross the mark of $900 billion by 2026. So have we already lost the fight to save our forests?

Well, not yet because there is a new solution that promises an end to our need of cutting trees. A team of researchers at MIT claims that lab-grown timber can replace deforestation driving products made from real wood. They have developed a technique using which timber can be produced in any shape and size, so for example, if you need a new wooden chair, using the researcher’s technique, you can create it in a lab without cutting a single tree.

How did the researchers create wood in a lab?

The researchers at MIT performed an experiment that gave stem cell-like properties to normal plant cells. They extracted cells from the leaves of a flowering plant called Common zinnia (Zinnia elegans) and then stored the same in a liquid medium for a couple of days. In the next step, the researchers treated the plant cells with a gel-based medium enriched with nutrients and hormones.

After some time, the cells gave rise to new plant cells. The researchers also noticed that by changing the hormonal concentration in the gel medium, they could control the physical and mechanical properties of the newly grown cells. During the experiments, plant material that contained high hormone concentrations turned stiff.

“In the human body, you have hormones that determine how your cells develop and how certain traits emerge. In the same way, by changing the hormone concentrations in the nutrient broth, the plant cells respond differently. Just by manipulating these tiny chemical quantities, we can elicit pretty dramatic changes in terms of the physical outcomes,” lead researcher Ashley Beckwith said, explaining the role of hormones in plant cell growth.

Moreover, Beckwith and her team were also able to 3D print custom-designed structures out of the cells cultured in the gel using a 3D bioprinting method. For three months, the lab-printed plant material was incubated in the dark, and the results were shocking. Not only did the lab wood manage to survive, but also grow at a rate twice that of a regular tree.

Growing furniture in the lab is also waste-free

An estimate suggests that the current furniture-making process leads to the loss of about 30% of the total wood as waste. Interestingly, the 3D bioprinting technique suggested by the researchers at MIT does not generate any waste and can be employed to produce plant material of any shape and size. “The idea is that you can grow these plant materials in exactly the shape that you need, so you don’t need to do any subtractive manufacturing after the fact, which reduces the amount of energy and waste," Beckwith said.

For now, scientists have been able to show that plant material can be grown in a lab and its mechanical properties can be manipulated, but the study is still in its early phase. More research and experiments are required to be done before the technique could be developed further and employed for producing 3D furniture in the lab on a commercial scale.

“Though still in its early days, this research demonstrates that lab-grown plant materials can be tuned to have specific characteristics, which could someday enable researchers to grow wood products with the exact features needed for a particular application,” senior author and scientist Luis Fernando Velásquez-García claims.
Every year, humans cut down about 15 billion trees. This massive deforestation is the root cause of many climate change-driven problems our world is facing at the moment. If it turns out to be successful, lab-grown wood can help us get rid of deforestation once and all. Let’s hope, this becomes a reality soon.

EU Accuses Washington Of Making A Fortune From Ukraine War

SUNDAY, NOV 27, 2022 - 04:35 AM

"Nine months after invading Ukraine, Vladimir Putin is beginning to fracture the West," Politico observes in a surprising admission which marks a stark reversal from prior mainstream media optimism and cheerleading of the White House's blank check approach to supporting Ukraine. "Top European officials are furious with Joe Biden’s administration and now accuse the Americans of making a fortune from the war, while EU countries suffer."

There's clearly growing frustration among European officials over Washington's refusal to push the Zelensky government to the negotiating table while an unprecedented billions worth of weaponry and defense aid pours in, risking unpredictable escalation between NATO and Russia.
Meanwhile European populations will continue being the first to pay the price amid frigid winter temperatures and a simultaneous severe energy supply crisis even as some leaders still spout abstract ideals of "sacrifice".

1669559121251.png

Macron and Biden on sidelines of a G20 meeting earlier this month in Indonesia, via AFP.

And all the while Biden has continued rolling out his controversial green subsidies and taxes which are widely perceived as unfairly punishing European industries at this most sensitive juncture.

A senior European official speaking to Politico additionally blasted the White House policy of in effect using the Ukraine war to line the pockets of American defense contractors while at the same turning a deaf ear on European pleas for some relief to the no-win situation.

"The fact is, if you look at it soberly, the country that is most profiting from this war is the U.S. because they are selling more gas and at higher prices, and because they are selling more weapons," the senior official said.

The person acknowledged a large-scale shift in sentiment happening, largely driven by the intractable 'win in Ukraine at all costs' stance of the US administration:

The explosive comments — backed in public and private by officials, diplomats and ministers elsewhere — follow mounting anger in Europe over American subsidies that threaten to wreck European industry. The Kremlin is likely to welcome the poisoning of the atmosphere among Western allies.
"We are really at a historic juncture,” the senior EU official said, arguing that the double hit of trade disruption from U.S. subsidies and high energy prices risks turning public opinion against both the war effort and the transatlantic alliance. "America needs to realize that public opinion is shifting in many EU countries."

But the US National Security Council has lately reiterated its position that the crisis is solely on Putin's shoulders full-stop, while Washington is simply presenting ramped-up US liquefied natural gas delivery to Europe as fulfilling the need to "diversify away from Russia," according to a NSC statement.

1669559213765.png

Via EIA/Daily Mail
Even the typically compliant EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell is now questioning and showing hints of losing faith in 'united' efforts to support Ukraine, acknowledging to Politico, "Americans — our friends — take decisions which have an economic impact on us."

And for a more pointed breakdown of the problem as Brussels sees it...

"The United States sells us its gas with a multiplier effect of four when it crosses the Atlantic," European Commissioner for the Internal Market Thierry Breton said on French TV on Wednesday. "Of course the Americans are our allies... but when something goes wrong it is necessary also between allies to say it."

Another EU diplomat cited in the Politico report described that Biden's $369 billion industrial subsidy scheme to support green industries as part of the Inflation Reduction Act unleashed panic across European capitals.

"The Inflation Reduction Act has changed everything," the EU diplomat said. "Is Washington still our ally or not?" This rising fury could spill into the streets as more European households are likely to experience shortages in electricity and heat this winter, further intensifying the pressure on EU politicians.

Germany Tees Up Windfall Tax On Solar And Wind

SUNDAY, NOV 27, 2022 - 05:45 AM

Ah, yes. The sweet smell of saving the planet with "green" energy while getting to rake in even more taxes...nothing like having your left-wing virtue signaling cake and eating it too.

Such is the case in Germany, where the country is getting ready to "table a €130 per megawatt hour cap on the earnings of wind, solar and nuclear generators", according to ReNews, citing Bloomberg.

Draft law indicates that the German government is planning on "reclaiming" some of the profits belonging to electricity companies in order "to fund a €54bn consumer aid package" that likely wouldn't be necessary if Germany's power grid was independent from the get-go.

Instead, the country - which famously relies on Russia for energy and has shunned most nuclear power plant plans for the foreseeable future - apparently hopes to spur more supply by clamping down on the earnings of energy companies...and yes - even the companies generating power through "green" means.

"It's a bold strategy, Cotton. Let's see if it pays off for them..."

The new law "is scheduled to pass the upper house of the German Parliament on 16 December and go into effect on 1 January," the report says. It'll apply for 10 months and will be backdated to the beginning of September 2022.

"Germany joins a growing number of European countries preparing to set their own national caps on renewable energy earnings that fall below the European Commission’s suggested levy of €180/MWh," ReNews wrote.

While the measures are only intended to last until June 2023, the report notes they "could be" extended until the end of 2024 - which, as we know all to well, is government speak for "will likely be extended indefinitely and hiked annually..."

Where Is All The Oil Going - Part 2

SUNDAY, NOV 27, 2022 - 06:20 AM
Authored by Russell Clark of the Capital Flows and Asset Markets substack;
Part one can be found here

The fall in oil price this year is that is has been accompanied by a truly historic fall in US oil inventories.

As a rule, collapsing inventories are seen as bullish, as they normally have to get replenished, however I am pretty sure the SPR will never be refilled.

In my original note, I wondered where all the oil was going. Using OECD data, which looks at not just crude oil inventory, but product inventory we can see that the sell down in SPR has largely turned up overseas.

While it is easy to characterize the sell down of the SPR as political driven, there are good economic reasons for it. In recent years, the growth of US oil production has led to a fall in net imports, from a peak of 10m barrels a day to around 2m at the moment.

The Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) was built up by the US government so that the US would always have 90 days of net crude oil imports on hand. This is the number that the IEA suggests that all its members hold as oil inventory.

The US commercial sector did not hold that much inventory in 1980 to 2010s, so the SPR was needed. However, as us net imports have fallen, the need for the SPR has disappeared. I think it very unlikely the US will ever refill the SPR.

None of the other IEA nations have had a large increase in oil production like the US, so no other nation is in a position to reduce inventories like the US.

As the US is a bigger producer of oil, it needs less strategic reserves is quite obvious. But the problems for the SPR are bigger than that. The SPR is held in storage in Texas and Louisiana. The reason for that is that was where the US imported most of its oil to then distribute to refiners in the midwest and elsewhere. The problem is that the big shale production growth has been located in and around Texas, so very little oil is now imported. This means that it was even when the SPR released oil, there was very little domestic demand for it. As far back as 2016, the Department of Energy realised that the SPR was not practical anymore and had planned to sell oil slowly into the market to generate the capital to modernise the whole SPR system.

In the same report, US SPR Long Term Strategic Review, they also looked at a scenario when Russian oil became unavailable. In this scenario, the plan was to release 1.8 m barrels a day. The reality is that SPR has been selling oil down at a slower rate than this plan, which again this plan showed was likely as there was limited shipping capacity.

In some ways the Russian invasion of Ukraine has done the SPR a favour. It has allowed them to reduce the size of the reserves that was increasingly look like a stranded asset. The reports states that the average purchase price of SPR oil is USD 30 a barrel. The SPR sell down would have generated a USD10bn profit so far. The fall in SPR also completes China’s domination of commodity markets. Japan has the highest reported strategic reserve at 511m barrels, but Chinese reports state that China has achieved 90 days of import coverage, which leads to roughly 1bn barrels of reserves at the current import rate of 12m barrels a day.

The big take away for me is the SPR number is no longer important. It will keep falling as long as oil prices stay high. The operational minimum is 10% of total capacity, which means 70m barrels, but over time this could fall to zero. It also means that Chinese demand is now much more important to the oil market, particular once the SPR sell off is completed. Unfortunately, good data on Chinese demand is hard to come by. All I know is that when I look at the LNG market in Asia is still indicates that energy supply is tight.

An old rule of thumb has oil should trade 10 times the natural gas price, so current Asian LNG prices imply oil prices of USD 300 a barrel in Asia. But again prices here have been weak this year, although natural gas is a very seasonal market. One energy market that I trust is the US natural gas futures market. It successful highlighted the oversupply of the energy market from 2011 onwards, and correctly foresaw the tightness of market in 2021 and 2022.

Current pricing is not showing the weakness that spot oil is showing, which makes me think, that the energy market is still tight.

In conclusion, SPR selling is likely to continue for another 12 to 18 months, as long as they can realize a good price for the oil. This is likely as long as the Russian invasion of Ukraine continues. This could keep a lid on oil prices, but all investors need to start focusing much more on China for directions on the oil market.

The Diesel Crunch Is Finally Causing Demand Destruction

SUNDAY, NOV 27, 2022 - 09:30 AM
By Tsvetana Paraskova of OilPrice.com

High prices seem to have started to weigh on diesel demand in the United States, where distillate inventories – comprising diesel and heating oil – have been slowly rising over the past few weeks. American distillate inventories are still below the five-year average, but the gap in stocks compared to previous years has slowly started to narrow, suggesting that high prices are hitting demand, while encouraging more refinery output thanks to solid refining margins.

In this week’s inventory report, the U.S. Energy Information Administration said that distillate stocks rose by 1.7 million barrels in the week to November 18, with production rising to an average of 5.1 million barrels per day (bpd). Distillate fuel inventories are still about 13% below the five-year average for this time of year, but two months ago, they were more than 20% below the five-year average for that time of the year.

Earlier this autumn, U.S. distillate stocks slumped to their lowest level for this time of the year since 1951, just as the heating season started and a few months ahead of the EU embargo on Russian oil product imports, which goes into effect in February.

Now signs have emerged that weaker demand in the past weeks may have slowly started to rebuild diesel inventories, contrary to seasonal trends. Distillate inventories in the U.S. rose by 3 million barrels in the six weeks to November 18, according to estimates by Reuters’ senior market analyst John Kemp based on EIA data.

In products supplied – a proxy of implied demand – distillate fuel product supplied averaged 4.0 million bpd over the past four weeks, down by 3.5% from the same period last year, the EIA data showed.

However, as implied demand slowed, refineries boosted run rates in the week to November 18, raising overall U.S. refinery utilization to 93.9%, up from 92.9% for the previous week. This compares with 88.6% refinery utilization over the same week last year.

“Higher refinery runs over the week, along with weaker implied demand for products meant that large builds were seen on the refined product side,” ING strategists said this week, commenting on the EIA report.

Refiners are processing more crude oil to capture the still high refining margins, but demand seems to cool off, not least because of high diesel prices, which haven’t come off this year’s record high as fast as gasoline prices have.

As of November 21, the average retail diesel price in the United States was $5.233 per gallon, or $1.509/gal higher than at this time last year. To compare, the average gasoline price in the U.S. on the same day was $0.253 per gallon higher than a year ago, EIA data showed.

In New England – where distillate inventories were at their lowest level ever at the start of the heating season and where 33% of homes use heating oil as the primary heating fuel – the diesel price is nearly $6/gal, at $5.963 on November 21, or $2.297/gal higher than last year.

Yet, demand for diesel – the primary fuel of the economy – is already showing signs of weakness, also as a result of high prices.

However, the recent drop in international crude oil prices and lower implied demand in the U.S. while distillate production is rising have led to a decline in America’s diesel prices.

A total of 47 of the 50 states are seeing average diesel prices drop from their week-ago levels, with diesel prices down over 10c/gal from a week ago in 19 states, Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy, said on Wednesday.

Globally, stubbornly high diesel prices fueling inflation as well as slowing economies are expected to lead to a slight decline in diesel demand in 2023, the International Energy Agency (IEA) said in its monthly report last week. Last year, global diesel/gasoil demand growth stood at 1.5 million bpd. This year’s growth is expected at just 400,000 bpd, while next year, diesel demand will post a small decline “under the weight of persistently high prices, a slowing economy and despite increased gas-to-oil switching,” the IEA said.

RV Boom Over? Monthly Shipments Plunge As Dealerships Overflow With Campers

SUNDAY, NOV 27, 2022 - 01:00 PM

There are dozens of recreational vehicle dealerships lining highways up and down the US East Coast. As of the Thanksgiving holiday week, driving down Interstate 95 and 85 from the Mid-Atlantic region into the Deep South, RV dealerships are overflowing with inventory, a massive change from the empty parking lots when RVs were in high demand during the pandemic.

RV Industry Association's October 2022 survey of manufacturers shows total RV shipments ended the month with 32,652 units, a massive decline of 43.7% compared to the 57,971 units shipped in October 2021. Through October, RV shipments are down 12.2% compared with the same period last year, with 448,246 wholesale shipments.

"As we enter the holiday season, shipments of RVs continue to normalize from last year's record production," said RV Industry Association President and CEO Craig Kirby.

Towable RVs, led by conventional travel trailers, saw shipments last month plunge by 48.3% compared with the same month the previous year with 27,329 shipments. However, motorhome shipments were up 4.1% compared to the same month last year, with 5,323 units.

Meanwhile, there's been an explosion in shipments of parked model RVs, up 43.2% compared to the same month last year, with 507 wholesale shipments. So far this year, parked model RVs are up 16.5%, with 3,947 shipments. There was no official reason why trailers, or as the millennials call them, "tiny homes," saw a surge in shipments, though demand could be rising as housing affordability is the worst on record, pricing tens of millions of Americans out of a traditional home due to elevated mortgage rates and record high home prices.

Take a look at the heavy discounting at the RV dealership Camping World in South Carolina.

More discounting in Georgia.

To sum up, the RV bubble of the pandemic is deflating, and the overflowing inventory sitting on RV dealership lots may suggest soaring interest rates have crushed demand. Now comes the terminal bullwhip effect, where dealerships must unload RVs.

"Atmospheric Chess Pieces Align": Polar Vortex May Unleash Arctic Blast As Far As Deep South

SUNDAY, NOV 27, 2022 - 02:00 PM

Ever so often, the polar vortex dips south over North America from its usual perch in the Arctic and brings a blast of cold air. The next arrival appears imminent, potentially as early as the first week of December, over the eastern half of the US.

According to freelance meteorologist Mike Masco, a "monster negative NAO [North Atlantic Oscillation] signal showing the pattern will reload the cold FAST as the atmospheric chess pieces align to produce major cold & potential polar vortex into the eastern/northern USA Dec. 5 & Beyond."

1669596677865.png
1669596727818.png
Masco said, "consider topping off Oil/propane tanks soon if that's your heating mode."

Others say a polar vortex will plunge temperatures below freezing across the Deep South, mainly in Alabama, Louisiana, and South Carolina, by Dec. 13.

Average temperatures in Washington, DC, will peak around 60 degrees Fahrenheit on Dec. 6 and begin to slide to about 26 degrees by Dec. 12.

Temperatures across North Carolina will plunge from the low 60s to sub-freezing by Dec. 12.

The same for South Carolina.

As well as Georgia.

The cold air will even pour into Florida.

On a regional basis, Midwest temperatures will average around 20 degrees by Dec. 12.

Southeast temperatures will plunge to freezing conditions.

The cold blast will be so severe that temperatures across the country, on average, will be driven down to around 35 degrees.

And look at heating degree days for the South East .... the cold blast will send heating demand through the roof.

However, Phil Flynn, senior analyst at Price Futures Group in Chicago, told Reuters that even though "the forecast seems to suggest we are going to see this polar vortex... (traders are) pulling back some of their positions on the anticipation, the cold blast might not be as far-reaching as originally feared."

Last week, Houston-based energy firm Criterion Research explained that the US "officially flipped over to withdrawal season" as heating demand begins to rise.

What appears to be an upcoming cold blast may only suggest US natural gas prices could rise even higher.

Enjoy the warm weather while it lasts -- because if forecasts hold up, a polar vortex could plunge a large swath of the US into a deep freeze.

That’s the typical ground report from areas all over the country. No one, literally almost no one, is doing any holiday shopping and the traditional Black Friday rush to get deals and discounts just didn’t happen. Financial media are scratching their puzzlers, perplexed with furrowed brows.

Interestingly, almost every financial media outlet is using the same Retail Federation talking point about anticipating an 8% increase in holiday sales this year. Apparently, pretenses must be maintained. Meanwhile, news crews and camera crews are having a desperate time finding any holiday shopping to use as background footage for the claims that sales are strong.

“Look, over there. There’s a person buying something. Oh, wait, no, that’s just an employee dusting the empty cash register.” At a certain point, one would have to believe reality would run head-first into the mass delusional pretending. Maybe this holiday season will be it, maybe not.

Reuters – […] About 166 million people were planning to shop from Thursday’s Thanksgiving holiday through this coming “Cyber Monday,” according to the National Retail Federation, almost 8 million more than last year. But with sporadic rain in some parts of the country, stores were less busy than usual on Black Friday.
“Usually at this time of the year you struggle to find parking. This year, I haven’t had an issue getting a parking spot,” said Marshal Cohen, chief industry adviser of the NPD Group Inc.

“It’s a lot of social shopping, everybody is only looking to get what they need. There is no sense of urgency,” Cohen added, based on his store checks in New York, New Jersey, Maryland and Virginia.
At the American Dream mall in East Rutherford, New Jersey, there were no lines outside stores. A Toys ‘R’ Us employee was handing out flyers with a list of the Black Friday “door buster” promotions. (read more)

It’s almost Kafkaesque to see how the media are continuing to maintain economic pretenses, yet the reality of a completely collapsed consumer economy is physically staring them in the face.

(Bloomberg) – Activity Light at One San Francisco Mall (4:40 p.m.) – At the Stonestown mall in San Francisco, shoppers were few and far between. The Target and Zara stores were mostly empty, and there was no line for the mall’s Santa Claus. Uniqlo and Apple were the busiest locations, but they still weren’t crowded.
[…]
Crowds were thin in the late morning at the Stamford Town Center mall. Kay Jeweler, empty. Safavieh, empty. Only a couple of people waited at the checkout line at Forever 21 and just a few were in line for a purchase at Barnes & Noble.
[…]
At a Target store on Chicago’s North Side, the parking lot was barely half full at about 9 a.m. local time. Shoppers were greeted with $3 ornaments and discounted Christmas trees when entering, and the store seemed calm and relatively quiet.
[…]
The Macy’s in Stamford, Connecticut, was neat and orderly — maybe a little too neat and orderly on a day associated with shopping chaos. The furniture section was nearly deserted, though there were more shoppers looking at shoes.

True Colors: J6 Staff Lash Out At Liz Cheney For Allegedly Burying Parts Of The Investigation

SUNDAY, NOV 27, 2022 - 03:30 PM
Authored by Jonathan Turley,

There is a deepening division on the J6 Committee as staffers turn on Liz Cheney over the final report on the January 6th riot. Angry rhetoric is flying with staffers accusing the Committee of becoming a “Cheney 2024 campaign” while both the Cheney spokesperson and Committee spokesperson lashed out at the staff members as “disgruntled” and producing shoddy or biased work. The underlying issue, however, is important and revealing. The Committee’s color coated teams include a “Blue Team” on the failure to prepare adequately for the riot. That part of the investigation is reportedly being dumped or reduced. Members of the “Green” and “Purple” teams are also reportedly irate.

1669597547318.png

Cheney was soundly defeated in her primary in Wyoming and will soon leave Congress. She is being pushed by some Democrats as a possible surprise candidate for House Speaker if they could get a few Republican votes. That seems highly unlikely. The Republicans are likely to end up with the identical margin held by the Democrats for the past two years. Alternatively, some Democrats want Cheney to run for president either to dog Donald Trump in the primary debates or to run as an independent to siphon off votes in the general election.

That seems to be the suspicion for some staffers in the Washington Post story.

Fifteen former and current staffers, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations, expressed concerns that important findings unrelated to Trump will not become available to the American public…
Several committee staff members were floored earlier this month when they were told that a draft report would focus almost entirely on Trump and the work of the committee’s “Gold Team,” excluding reams of other investigative work.
Potentially left on the cutting room floor, or relegated to an appendix, were many revelations from the “Blue Team” — the group that dug into the law enforcement and intelligence community’s failure to assess the looming threat and prepare for the well-forecast attack on the Capitol. The proposed report would also cut back on much of the work of the Green Team, which looked at financing for the Jan. 6 attack, and the Purple Team, which examined militia groups and extremism.
“We all came from prestigious jobs, dropping what we were doing because we were told this would be an important fact-finding investigation that would inform the public,” said one former committee staffer. “But when [the committee] became a Cheney 2024 campaign, many of us became discouraged.”

If true, the report will largely track the virtual exclusive focus of the hearings with open references to the 2024 election as an overriding concern.

Some of us have lamented that the J6 Committee could have been so much more than a one-sided, highly partisan investigation. House Democrats barred two Republican members originally selected by GOP leaders, who then boycotted the panel in response.

Even with the GOP boycott, the Committee could have followed the type of balanced inquiry that pursued allegations tied to the Pearl Harbor attack or Watergate. It could have insisted on balanced hearings with witnesses and dissenting views.

Nevertheless, the committee revealed important, often disturbing details. It was important for Americans to hear from figures like former attorney general Bill Barr and White House lawyers who struggled to counter unfounded advice given to Trump by outside lawyers on challenging the 2020 election. There were painful scenes of Capitol police overwhelmed at barricades and members of Congress hunkered down in offices.

Yet, the focus on a single approved narrative gave the hearings the feel of an infomercial selling a product that most of us bought two years earlier.

Now, staffers are turning on Cheney who appears to have objected to parts of the final report and wants the report to focus on Trump. Cheney’s spokesman Jeremy Adler said that the staffers in the other teams produced “subpar material” full of “liberal biases.”

Tim Mulvey, the spokesperson for the committee, criticized the staffers speaking to the media as “disgruntled” and added that “they’ve forgotten their duties as public servants and their cowardice is helping Donald Trump and others responsible for the violence of January 6th.”

It is obviously hard to address the alleged shoddy work on these other teams or claims of liberal bias. However, the “Blue Team” was a particular interest for some of us. The J6 Committee virtually ignored the issue despite ample questions over decisions by Congress leading to the riot.

The Democrats in the final hearing hammered away at documents showing that the agency knew about violent threats in the days leading up to Jan. 6th. However, the Democrats have refused to pursue the lack of preparations on Capitol Hill as a focus of the hearing. On the day of the riot, many of us noted (before the breach of security) that there was a relatively light police presence around the Capitol despite the obvious risk of a riot. Once the crowd surged, they quickly were able to gain access to the building. Conservative media have featured a video showing an officer standing by as crowds poured into the building.

That obviously does not mean that there was not violence or that Capitol police did not bravely fight to protect the building. Most of us have denounced the riot as a desecration of our constitutional process.

Moreover, at some point, officers may have shifted to deescalating as crowds surged into the building. The question is why there were not more substantial barriers, like those used at the White House. Instead, some barriers were composed of a few officers using their bikes.

The available evidence indicates that the House was warned and that the need for National Guard deployments were discussed.

There is a concern that, after criticizing such deployment and fencing around the White House in the earlier riots, the Democrats did not want to be seen following the same course.

An Inspector General report indicated that police were restricted by Congress in what they could use on that day. Previously, it was disclosed that offers of National Guard support were not accepted prior to the protests. The D.C. government under Mayor Muriel Bowser used only a small number of guardsmen in traffic positions.

That focus was rejected by the Committee members and there were no dissenting views voiced on the Committee as well as a virtual bar on opposing explanations or interpretations of evidence.

The GOP is now expected to fully investigate what the Congress knew and what it did in the days leading to the breach of the Capitol. Clearly, Cheney and others did not believe that the Blue Team full findings were ready to be released. However, those findings could be reviewed by the new GOP majority as it seeks full disclosure on why the Capitol was so quickly overrun on January 6th.

Just for fun, and while I applaud the dealerships patriotism, business must be getting a bit slow..

Alabama Dealership Offers Controversial ‘Incentive’ With Every Vehicle

In order to boost sales, an Alabama car dealership came up with a unique promotion for every customer who purchases a vehicle. However, it’s what the business is giving away with each sale that is sure to have offended people up in arms.

Chatom Ford in Alabama is known for its stellar customer service. However, salespersons don’t move vehicles off the lot through good old-fashioned hospitality alone. So, when the Ford dealership was thinking of a new promotion that would surpass the previous ones, they finally settled upon a giveaway that’s sure to ruffle some feathers.

Every successful car dealership knows that in order to draw customers in, you have to offer them something that competitors haven’t. Sometimes, all that’s necessary is a special promotion. However, the Alabama business went above and beyond the typical giveaway.
Every purchasing customer gets a Bible, American flag, and 12-gauge shotgun as part of the dealership’s “God, Guns, and Freedom” promotion. (Photo Credit: Facebook)
Chatom Ford has announced that they will be giving away a Bible, an American flag, and a 12-gauge shotgun with every vehicle purchase as part of its “God, Guns, and Freedom” promotion. For an entire month, customers will receive the items with every car, truck, or SUV, according to KPTV.
“EVERY VEHICLE PURCHASED NEW OR PREOWNED WILL COME WITH A BIBLE, 12 GAUGE SHOT GUN, AND AMERICAN FLAG!! THIS IS A SMALL GIFT TO OUR VALUED CUSTOMERS,” Chatom Ford posted to Facebook.
Of course, the dealership likely anticipated a backlash for their controversial promotion. As such, the business was careful to include a disclaimer in their post, reminding buyers that they must go through the proper legal channels to acquire their free gifts.

“Must be 18 or older, have valid id, can legally purchase a vehicle, and pass all checks associated with owning a fire arm in state of residency,” the post concluded.

Koby Palmer unveiled the limited-time promotion, which has been a huge success. (Photo Credit: Screenshot)
Unveiling the dealership’s limited-time promotion, Chatom Ford released a video confirming the unusual giveaway. In the clip, general sales manager Koby Palmer, 29, models the bonus gifts.

“Everyone who comes into our dealership and purchases a new, pre-owned, or certified pre-owned car, truck, or SUV — not only are they going to get the great deals and service that we provide here, they’re also going to get a Bible, an American flag, and also a 12-gauge shotgun. So, if you want any more information on everything you’re going to get over here at Chatom Ford in Chatom, Alabama, call, click, or text and y’all come see us,” Palmer said.
After the video went viral, Palmer explained that the dealership isn’t just “handing out shotguns” to random people. In fact, each purchasing customer receives a certificate that can be taken to either of two certified firearms dealers that have partnered with the dealership.
He added, “We live in a small town of 1,200 people. It’s a very small, rural area. They lean on their religious beliefs, their pride in America and they love to hunt.”
The dealership sold five vehicles in three days, which is a major success for the business located in a small town.

Palmer says that the promotion got off to a great start. In a town of just over a thousand residents, every purchase counts, which means that first last few days of sales were a wild success, he told USA Today.
“It’s been running for three business days and we sold five cars. In a small town, business is booming,” Palmer said.
Of course, it’s possible that not every customer would want religious or patriotic symbols. As such, Palmer reiterated that buyers reserve the right to refuse their prizes.
“This is just showing support for our local community,” he said. “Anyone that doesn’t 100% agree with what we’re portraying, we’re not trying to force our beliefs on anybody. We respect anybody that disagrees, no matter how vehemently they do.”
Since announcing the promotion, the phones have been ringing nonstop with enthused customers.

Since the announcement of the “God, Guns, and Freedom” promotion, the phones have been ringing off the hook at Chatom Ford. Most have expressed their delight with the unique marketing strategy, while others are more interested in snagging the incredible deal.

Although some might take offense to the dealership’s latest campaign, most have voiced their support for the idea of capitalizing on American values. At least for now, the dealership and its customers are thrilled with the outcome.

Biden War On Energy Helps China, Saudi, & Venezuelan Dictators

Protesters in China shout “Down with Xi” and “Free Xinjiang” in reference to the province where 10 people were killed by a fire, and where solar panels are made by oppressed Uyghur Muslims.

Michael Shellenberger

President Joe Biden ran for and was elected president in 2020 by promising to stand up for human rights. He attacked President Donald Trump for not doing more to pressure Saudi Arabia. Biden came out for “stronger multilateral sanctions” on Venezuela. And he denounced Chinese Premier Xi Jinping as a “thug” and promised to “unite the economic might of democracies around the world to counter abusive economic practices.”

And yet Biden has drastically softened U.S. policy toward Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, and China, over the last two years.

Biden yesterday lifted oil sanctions on Venezuela, which the U.S. State Department says is a dictatorship that uses the military and violent gangs to engage in “extrajudicial killings,” “forced disappearances,” and “torture and cruel, inhuman, and degrading treatment.”

Biden publicly begged the Saudi government to produce more oil during the summer and two weeks ago granted immunity to the prime minister, a son of the king, and a man who US and foreign intelligence services say killed a Washington Post reporter.

And, in early June, Biden issued an emergency order for the U.S. to continue importing Chinese solar panels and products from Xinjiang province, where the U.S. State Department says the government is committing genocide against Uyghur Muslims.

Defenders of the president say: the lifting of Venezuela sanctions “was not connected to the administration's efforts to boost global energy production” and were simply “to support newly restarted negotiations” between the government and the opposition; granting the Saudi prime minister immunity was a mere formality; and the lifting of solar panel sanctions is only until the summer of 2024.

Those are bogus excuses and every sentient person in official Washington knows it. The Venezuelan government has done nothing of significance to merit a lifting of sanctions, only agreeing to talks. The main motivation of Biden to lift sanctions on Venezuela is so it will produce more oil so the U.S. doesn’t have to. That’s the same reason the Biden administration granted immunity to the Saudi prince.

Revolution In China – Whose Side Are You On Joe?

Sam Faddis

Xi Jinping appears committed to his draconian lockdown measures in China.

Whether these actions are truly designed to control COVID or in fact, intended to destroy the power and influence of increasingly pro-Western elements in China’s south remains perhaps unclear. What is very clear, however, is that the people of China have had enough.

https://video.twimg.com/ext_tw_video/1596944663860203525/pu/vid/640x360/udlR0-ebUTe1HuJi.mp4?tag=12 .30 min

China disappeared behind the “Bamboo Curtain” in 1949. Its people have endured almost seventy-five years of horror. Untold millions have died of famine or been tortured to death in prison camps. The current regime makes hard cash through forced organ harvesting and is trying to breed the Uyghurs out of existence through mass rape.

Any sign that the people of China are rising up against his tyranny ought to be great news for all the freedom-loving people of the world. The United States of America, that “shining city on the hill,” ought to be the loudest voice of all calling for change

Demonstrations have erupted in at least seven cities including Shanghai, Nanjing, and Guangzhou. Violence has broken out between the police and protesters. The people in the street aren’t just calling for an end to COVID restrictions. They are chanting "take down the CCP!" and "take down Xi Jinping!" The Chinese people are demanding an end to communism.

In Shanghai, protests are taking place right down the street from the U.S. Consulate. The American Ambassador to China has had nothing to say.

China is building vast camps in which to house anyone who tests positive for COVID. Children are taken away from their parents if the kids are positive and the parents are not. Vaccine passports are required to move in some designated cities.

The Chinese have made clear they are done with all of this. Testing centers are being destroyed by protesters. Barriers are being removed. The people of China have had enough.

https://video.twimg.com/ext_tw_video/1592192099318841344/pu/vid/720x1280/RP4Jjkzh9qHcCL05.mp4?tag=12 2:03 min

What is emerging is a revolution. People in the street are calling it the White Paper Revolution in reference to CCP propaganda that forbids free expression. The protests have spread even to major universities. Increasingly, there are express calls for “democracy” and “freedom of expression.” Students are chanting “freedom will prevail” and “no to lockdowns, we want freedom.”

Professor of Global History at Oxford University, Peter Frankopan, commented on the gravity of the protests and warned the Chinese government would likely respond with even harsher measures.

'Most serious moment since Tiananmen in 89. Hard to see the genie get put back in the bottle. A soft touch needed; a hammer much more likely to come next. And then who knows,' he said.

Images on social media show crowds tearing down metal fences and barricades as they grapple with security officers. Video shows full-scale battles in the street between protesters and security force personnel

The official website of the U.S. Embassy in Beijing makes no mention of the disturbances. It does prominently display a photo of Joe Biden and Xi Jinping smiling and holding hands.

https://video.twimg.com/ext_tw_video/1596769064621604864/pu/vid/480x270/gO7r55JUac8PeFQn.mp4?tag=12 .15 min

For the Chinese people, this is a historic moment. For the United States of America, a nation built on the principles of freedom and liberty, it is a defining one. Are we still a force for good in the world or have we sold our souls to the CCP?

For Joe Biden, a man dogged by growing evidence of compromise by the Chinese Communists it is time to make loyalties clear.

Whose side are you on Joe?

Big Business Pays “Indulgences” to the Left

Why are Manufacturers agitating for a radical new gay marriage law that attacks Religious Liberty?

Steve Cortes

Even as manufacturing tanks into recession territory in America, lobbyists for factories clamor to suck up to Joe Biden and the DC Establishment with a ludicrous new PR campaign: Manufacturers for Gay Marriage.

Specifically, the National Association of Manufacturers officially calls for passage of the misnamed “Respect for Marriage Act” on Capitol Hill. This once-revered industry group leverages its considerable political capital to venture far beyond matters of relevance to the productive capacity of US manufacturing. The Association incredulously claims this new law would allow factory workers to “bring their authentic selves to work.”

Why must a group like the NAM insert itself into this social issue?

Post from the CEO of the Natl. Assoc. of Manufacturers

The answer flows from the giddy readiness of Big Business to please Permanent Washington to effectively bribe liberal and establishment powerbrokers to protect the interests of corporate C-suite executives.

Through this practice, large enterprises effectively pay the modern equivalent of Indulgences, channeling the former Medieval Catholic practice of paying stipends for the forgiveness of sins. In this 21st century version, corrupt, rent-seeking corporations pay “indulgences” to the permanent political class, advocating for radical social policies. In return, these connected firms receive preferential regulatory and policy treatment that ensures their existing dominant market positions.

For example, massive multinational consumer names get an effective pass on using Chinese slave labor to produce goods for sale in America. Similarly, US-based manufacturers suffer no financial penalties for shipping American jobs overseas, in large part because these same companies dutifully finance the political establishment. On Wall St., financial giants secure generous contracts to manage the public money of government entities and pensions, in return for aggressively supporting the secular humanist agenda of the Ruling Class.

Regarding this latest social engineering power grab, this unnecessary and radical legislation only serves as a potential potent state weapon against people and institutions that hold to the belief in traditional marriage between one man and one woman. Because of state statutes and the Supreme Court’s Obergefell decision, gay marriage is already legal everywhere in America.

This new act, therefore, represents a blatant attempt during the lame duck session of Democrat control of Congress, to nonetheless further federalize marriage policy and thereby provide secular opponents of religious groups with a powerful national legal weapon for coercion and harassment.

New York Archbishop John Cardinal Dolan warns of this threat, predicting that when “conflicts between religious beliefs and same-sex civil marriage arise, the Act will be used as evidence that religious believers must surrender to the state’s interest in recognizing same-sex civil marriages.” Evangelical leader Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council also warned that this bill is “light years more radical than the justices’ [Obergefell] ruling seven years ago.” If passed into law, Perkins predicts that “government would be declaring open season on anyone who believes in marriage as it’s always been: the union of a man and woman.”

Vax Paradigm — read this
27 November 2022
Dripping Springs, Texas
Morning mind burst, sans edit

Robert F. Kennedy posits some ideas on the push to poison children with the fake vaccines.

His limited theory that this push to ‘vaccinate’ children is all about legal liability does not explain the global fact-pattern. RFK’s legal theory is not useful as predictive paradigm with what might come next.

Contrary, RFK’s legal paradigm that this push to jab children is all and only about simple legal liability, can lull one into complacency that this battle to vax children is separate and severable from the larger war.

RFK’s stated view and paradigm is made from a low-level aerial perspective. Just high enough to see companies like Pfizer in a courtroom. This overhead view comes from a 500 feet above the weeds. Just high enough to see pharmaceutical companies in US courtrooms.

This low altitude leaves massive gaps and huge amounts of other factors completely unconsidered. RFK’s explanation of his world-view of the fight to vax children is like that from a map drawn in about the year 1400. Lots of blanks spots and “There be dragons.”

Corporate greed does not explain the fact-pattern. The paradigm itself leads to absurdly wrong ideas about what has happened and is happening.

Use of the word ‘absurd’ is not to imply Kennedy is absurd. RFK is very smart and fighting hard. ‘Absurd’ is to convey that we start with an answer of “300,” and RFK is trying to explain that 2 + 2 = 300. Lots of things can equal 300….2 + 2 is not one of those things.

Let’s go higher than the 500-foot level that leaves only room for corporate greed and desire to avoid liability. Too simplistic. Does not explain what has happened and what is unfolding.

Let’s go to Space View to where we not only see the curvature of earth, but far enough up that we see the earth as a marble.

Now look back at Earth. Not down at Earth. There is no up and down. Just here and there.

We do not need to see some courtroom and some ephemeral US law that means zero on this scale. The courtroom or cathedral may seem gigantic when we are in it, but on global scale, a grain of sand.

RFK’s theory of legal liability is like looking at a thermometer and trying to explain next week’s weather.

RFK’s theory and paradigm is useless or wrong in explaining the entire picture blocking people from using protocols using ivermectin, HCQ, zinc, etc. His theory of the case does zero to explain lockdowns. Zero to explain manmade fertilizer shortages. Fuel shortages. Stolen elections. Installation of “Dog Kings” such as the brain damaged guys in Pennsylvania and White House. Provoking the Ukraine war. Leaving our borders wide open. Allowing our streets to be flooded by fentanyl and other drugs.

RFK’s theory omits all the build up of World Economic Forum clearly stating they are creating conditions for massive depopulation. This is all part of a larger climate of depopulation. Bill Gates invests in synthetic foods, farmland, vaccines, eugenics.

RFK’s paradigm will leave one like a dodo bird waiting to get clonked on the head.

Let’s try a global, unified theory, a Paradigm that takes WEF and other globalists at their word — and deed — that these fake ‘vaccines’ are in fact NOT experimental. Or at least not experimental in the way described.

[My apologies for writing quickly — I have meetings soon this morning.]

Talking heads say daily these are experimental ‘vaccines’ when there is practically no evidence the chemicals are experimental. Where are the trials and experiments?

A unified theory and paradigm that explains all this without massive blank spots is that these fake ‘vaccines’ are weapons in a larger war. The death jabs are swarms of little smart missiles.

And these jab-missiles are far from the only weapons. More likely, children are being executed by lethal injection. Time bombs.

A paradigm limited to corporate greed requires a microscope to believe. Does not fit the fact pattern. Falls apart.

RFK’s paradigm does not create or add to a paradigm that can create accurate predictions of next moves with food supply, energy, destruction of freedoms, such as of freedom of speech, and why the globalists are working hard to erase all national borders, and to gender-confuse children that they should have sex and do drugs and play on tic-tok.

These things are not separate or separable.

A world view, a paradigm, that is consistently creating highly accurate predictions — just go back and read my Locals posts — is that these fake vaccines are weapons that have been deployed and are being employed to kill the children and their parents. This neatly fits the fact-pattern and paradigm that we are in an Epic War.

You may have seen here on Locals over recent months my numerous predictions the rail strikes are likely. I do not even follow anything the unions or companies are saying. Nothing. I do not know the names of the unions involved. They are fungible. Their specifics are not relevant. Weeds.

My prediction of rail strikes is simply the outcome of an overarching working-paradigm. This war-paradigm leads to consistently accurate predictions and retroactively can smoothly explain many things that would otherwise seem bizarre. Such as shutting down fertilizer production across Europe. The deindustrialization of Europe.

The rail strikes would contribute materially and significantly to destruction of United States, and thus many other power structures.

I have been predicting rail strikes without checking a single negotiation detail — because the strings are coming from space-level. Global war. Population reduction. Global revolution.

On the global scale, the railroad-related-unions and their grievances are gnats and tools. We don’t need to know what the gnats are doing for breakfast. There is herd of elephants in the room, and the elephants are a speck on the scale of this global war that includes digital currency, vax-passports, and probable stolen elections in many countries.

RFK’s theory cannot explain vax-passports. RFK’s paradigm does not consider itself and now this looks from space.

The microscopic paradigm requires someone to view the push to jab children as THE fight. It’s not. The possible killing of millions of children either directly, through fertility issues, or otherwise, is huge on local scale, but is probably small compared to the global famines unfolding.

Under my working paradigm, the children are being jabbed either to kill the children through the jabs, or to set them up later for same or similar.

The depopulation agenda is in our faces. The Beasts say it all the time.

Evil often says things aloud. Conveys intent through books. Makes movies. SAYS IT. Globalists say clearly and regularly that this population is about to take a haircut with a razor, closer cut than a new Marine.

Evil habitually telegraphs plans.

They
Are
Saying

DEPOPULATION

Conditions have been created for Global Famines.

Time for work. In closing, my apologies for this rough mind dump. I read his book excellent book THE REAL ANTHONY FAUCI and highly recommend the book.

(And addressing some messages…a few folks are upset about my call for financial support while being cryptic about my next needs. The next moves will be dangerous and so I cannot telegraph until there. You know I deliver.)

‘End The Lockdown!’: COVID Protests Erupt In China

MELANIE WILCOX
CONTRIBUTOR
November 26, 2022

Protesters took to the streets Friday to end COVID-19 lockdowns after 10 people died Thursday night in a high-rise apartment fire in the city of Urumqi, located in China’s far western Xinjiang region.

Videos circulating Friday on Chinese social media show protesters pumping their fists and chanting “End the lockdown!” Protestors also sang China’s national anthem, which includes the lyrics, “Rise up, those who reuse to be slaves!”

View: https://twitter.com/i/status/1596247280712982528

About 4 million residents in Urumqi have experienced the country’s longest lockdowns, unable to leave their homes for as long as 100 days, Reuters reported. The city has experienced about 100 new cases in two days, CNN reported. About 10 million Uyghurs live in Xinjiang, according to Reuters.

“The extent of arbitrary and discriminatory detention of members of Uyghur and other predominantly Muslim groups … may constitute international crimes, in particular crimes against humanity,” the United Nations office said this year on its website.

Weibo users say the incident happened due to the country’s zero-COVID policy. China has defended President Xi Jinping’s zero-COVID policy as “lifesaving” and has vowed to continue with it despite growing pushback and a significant economic toll.

Biden Admin Allows Chevron To Pump Oil In Communist Venezuela

Daily Caller News Foundation logo
JACK MCEVOY
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT REPORTER

The Treasury Department on Saturday issued Chevron a new license that would allow the massive oil company to pump oil in Venezuela, easing sanctions on the communist country as the price of gas remains elevated.

The license, issued by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), will allow the company to produce oil in Venezuela by taking part in joint ventures with the state-owned oil company Petróleos de Venezuela, according to a Treasury Department press release. The department issued the license after Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and the Unitary Platform, a coalition of opposition parties, agreed to carry out a humanitarian program and pursue talks to hold “free and fair elections.”

“What they’re really trying to do is drive more and more of the U.S. oil industry offshore, into the arms of other countries,” Institute for Energy Research Senior Vice President Dan Kish told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “I don’t blame Chevron … it’s already hard for them to pump oil in the U.S.”

The announcement comes as the Biden administration has taken steps to curtail domestic oil production, attempting to impose a moratorium on new drilling leases, which is currently being contested in federal court.

Kish said that Venezuelan crude oil is “heavier” than the light-sweet shale oil produced in the U.S. and also far less environmentally friendly as it has a high sulfur content; moreover, U.S. refineries are more suited to process heavier crude than oil that is produced in the U.S., making Venezuelan oil valuable to domestic refiners.

“The Venezuelans have the largest proven oil reserves in the world, but it’s very carbon intensive … it’s some of the most carbon-intensive oil,” Kish stated.

The Biden administration’s move to allow Chevron to operate in Venezuela could signal other major oil companies to begin pumping oil in Venezuela once more, according to The Wall Street Journal. The administration proposed easing sanctions on the nation and allowing Chevron to produce oil there after the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries decided to cut oil production by 2 million barrels per day in October.

“The issuance of General License No. 41 means Chevron can now commercialize the oil that is currently being produced from the company’s Joint Venture assets,” the company said in a statement provided to the DCNF.

“We are determined to remain a constructive presence in the country and to continue supporting social investment programs aimed at providing humanitarian relief.”

The Treasury Department did not immediately respond to the DCNF’s request for comment.

Musk Blasts Claims That Reinstating Banned Twitter Accounts Puts 'Lives At Risk'

SUNDAY, NOV 27, 2022 - 08:30 AM
Authored by Tom Ozimek via The Epoch Times (emphasis ours),

Twitter’s new boss Elon Musk took a swipe at a mainstream media report that cited activists claiming lives were being put at risk by Musk’s decision to reinstate a number of banned Twitter accounts, including that of former President Donald Trump.

“Much Ado About Nothing,” Musk said in a tweet Friday, responding to left-leaning Axios’ report that carried the caption: “Activists warn lives at risk over Elon Musk’s amnesty plans for suspended Twitter accounts.”

Musk on Thursday announced a “general amnesty” for some suspended Twitter accounts, provided that the accounts weren’t engaging in “egregious spam” or hadn’t broken the law.

“The people have spoken,” Musk wrote on Twitter in response to a poll that showed the vast majority of his followers on the platform voting in favor of a “general amnesty” for banned accounts.

“Amnesty begins next week. Vox Populi, Vox Dei,” he added, which translates as “the voice of the people, the voice of God” in Latin.

That came several days after Musk ran a poll asking his Twitter followers to weigh in on whether Trump’s suspended account should be reinstated, with most voting in favor.

“The people have spoken. Trump will be reinstated. Vox Populi, Vox Dei,” Musk said in a post.

But Musk’s decision to reinstate suspended accounts has fired up critics who see unfettered speech as a danger.

Axios, a left-leaning media outlet, ran a story in response to Musk’s pledge to restore suspended accounts, sharing it on Twitter with the caption: “Activists warn lives at risk over Elon Musk’s amnesty plans for suspended Twitter accounts.”

The report cited a number of individuals and organizations who had a critical take on Musk’s banned account reinstatement.

One of the individuals Axios cited was Alejandra Caraballo, clinical instructor at Harvard Law’s cyberlaw clinic, who told The Washington Post that for marginalized communities, the amnesty was “existentially dangerous.”

“It’s like opening the gates of hell in terms of the havoc it will cause,” Caraballo said, adding that “People who engaged in direct targeted harassment can come back and engage in doxing, targeted harassment, vicious bullying, calls for violence, celebration of violence.”

She added that both Apple and Google should consider removing Twitter from the respective app store offerings.

The report also cited another opponent of Musks’s banned account reinstatement, Imran Ahmed, CEO of campaign group the Center for Countering Digital Hate.

“Superspreaders of hate, abuse, and harassment will be the only people to benefit from this latest decision by Twitter,” Axios cited Ahmed as saying, via the Guardian.

Musk’s characterization of the claims in Axios’ report as little more than a tempest in a teacup drew a range of reactions from Twitter users, both critical and sympathetic.

‘Not Freedom of Reach’
When Musk took over Twitter at the end of October, he vowed to dial down the previous management’s restrictions on free speech on the platform while pledging to maintain curbs on illegal activity and reduce the number of bots.

He also announced earlier in November that Twitter’s new policy is “freedom of speech, but not freedom of reach,” adding that Twitter wouldn’t demonetize and not promote “hate/negative tweets.”

“You won’t find the tweet unless you specifically seek it out, which is no different from rest of Internet,” Musk said.

Following Musk’s takeover at the end of October, there was a spike in “hate speech impressions” on the platform, Musk acknowledged in a tweet on Thursday.

But those impressions have since dropped to levels lower than before the surge in negative posts, he added.

What The #$%& Is A Shallow Recession

SUNDAY, NOV 27, 2022 - 06:30 PM

This week, DataTrek founder Nick Colas is visiting his in-laws in Memphis for the Thanksgiving holiday, and as he notes, contact with what New York finance types call “the real world” is always an educational experience, given his usual cloistering in midtown Manhattan. To celebrate his brief freedom from the Big Apple, if only for a few days, are two brief thoughts based on a few interactions during his time here.

Below we excerpt from the latest Morning Briefing by Nick Colas of DataTrek

#1: What the #@$% is a shallow recession? My hotel’s breakfast area had business TV on this morning, and one of the hosts said, “markets are expecting a shallow recession next year”. She was not wrong. US equities trade for 18x current earnings, which strongly implies either no diminishment of corporate earnings or, at worse, a dip sometime in 2023 but then a swift recovery.

An older gentleman sitting opposite me at group table shook his head and grumbled the question noted above. His observation, implying that any recession can be “shallow” is at best euphemistic and at worst delusional, is also not wrong.

Since World War II, the shallowest recessions in terms of their effect on US GDP growth were in 1990 and 2001. The chart below shows quarterly real GDP growth from 1947 to 2019, with the 11 official NBER recessions over that period noted by the gray bars. We have put a dotted line across the 1 percent contraction level. All but the 1990/2001 recession exceeded that number.

Many readers will recall the 1990 and 2001 recessions, and I am fairly sure none would think of them as “shallow”. The first was due to an oil shock caused by Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait. US unemployment went from 5 to 8 percent over 2 years. The second was caused by the bursting of the dot com stock bubble and the 9-11 terror attacks. Unemployment rose from 4 to 6 percent.

The lesson here is that even “shallow” recessions have real world outcomes and, in the case of 1990 and 2001, came with other problems. Yes, perhaps the Fed can thread the needle of reducing inflation without causing a steep recession. We certainly hope it can. But I think it will pay to have some of the skepticism offered by my dining companion until that result becomes somewhat clearer.

* * *
#2: Help wanted. There are still many small businesses in the Memphis area looking for workers, especially those with seasonal labor needs heading into the holidays. The shortage of workers is evident here, as it is across the country. It has been thus for over 2 years, with wage inflation a necessary byproduct of that phenomenon.

The chart below shows US labor force participation (people in the workforce divided by the total population) for 25 – 54-year-olds (in red, left axis) and all adults (black line, right axis) from 2015 to the present.

Two points on this data:
  • Prior to the pandemic, aggregate and 25 – 54 LFP was rising. The former hit 63.4 percent in February 2020, its highest level since June 2013. The latter got up to 83.1 percent, the best level since May 2013. A strong, late cycle US economy was pulling Americans into the workforce.
  • Today, both LFP levels remain below their pre-pandemic highs. Working-age (25 – 54-year-olds) LFP is 0.4 points lower, which translates into 520,000 “missing” prime-aged workers. Total LFP is down 1.2 percentage points, or 3.2 million people.
The upshot here is that, despite population growth, there are scarcely more workers in the US now than at the start of the Pandemic Crisis. According to BLS data, the civilian non-institutional American population has grown by 1.9 percent since February 2020. The total number of Americans in the workforce has only grown by 0.5 percent.

Linking this discussion to the prior point about recessions, it is worth noting that every economic downturn since the 1980s has seen labor force participation either stay flat or decline. In the 1970s/early 1980s, LFP was stable through recessionary periods primarily because women were still entering the American workforce. In the 1990, 2001, and 2007 – 2009 recession, LFP fell by 2 points or more during/after each downturn.

The lesson here is that a recession does not draw people into the workforce, so the current labor shortage is unlikely to ease very much in a “shallow” recession. An economic downturn should, however, reduce wage inflation to some degree if employees feel they no longer have bargaining power with respect to their pay. Still, this may not be enough to bring wage growth in line with productivity growth if the supply of labor contracts over the next 1-2 years.

Were the Covid Plandemic and Hunter’s Laptop Engagements of 5th Generation Warfare?

BY MARK SCHWENDAU
November 27, 2022

After the Covid-19 pandemic and mainstream media’s neglect of the Hunter Biden Laptop From Hell story in 2020, people are starting to have conversations and ask questions. Some of the key questions include:
  • Was this a manmade gain-of-function virus made intentionally to lower the world population?
  • Was it released from a lab intentionally, and if so, who was responsible?
  • Did American taxpayer dollars go into the development of this virus?
  • Who profited off of the pandemic?
  • Was burying the Hunter Biden laptop story election interference?
  • Were governmental agencies involved in burying the Hunter Biden laptop story rather than actively investigating and prosecuting it?
  • Who labeled the Hunter Biden laptop story “Russian disinformation,” which was knowingly an outright lie?
  • If the public had known about this Laptop From Hell and its contents, would that have swung the 2020 General Election to Donald Trump?
Probably the most interesting and intriguing question is, “Was this the first attempt at Fifth Generation Warfare (5GW)?”

If you are not familiar with the term, “Fifth Generation Warfare,” most of us were not. While there is some disagreement as to the divisions of warfare over time, in general, the five generations of warfare can be broken down as follows:

First Generation – Refers to ancient and post-classical battles fought with massed manpower using a phalanx (men in columns and rows) with uniformed soldiers governed by the state. Swords, spears, bows with arrows, shields, and body armor were indicative of these battles.

Second Generation – This term was created by the U.S. Military in 1989. It marked the advent of the rifled musket and breech-loading weapons that used black powder or gunpowder. Rifled projectiles flew longer distances with greater accuracy to target than previous firearms.

Third Generation – Is said to be a period where facing your enemies in phalanx columns and rows gave way to trying to outmaneuver and flank your enemy on the battlefield for a greater tactical advantage. Speed, stealth, and surprise were often used to confuse and panic the enemy when they found themselves seemingly or really surrounded. This was less a generation of weaponry than a tactic.

Fourth Generation – This is a conflict where there is a blurring of the lines between war and politics, as well as combatants and civilians. The war in Vietnam might have been a good early example of this generation of warfare. Civilians caught up on the way would adapt to whichever armed personnel was occupying their villages at the moment, Viet Cong or American Military.

Their end game was less about war and politics than simply working to stay alive. Terms that come out of this phase of warfare include guerrillas, terrorists, and rioters. Such players make it difficult for enemies to identify a focal point to deliver a conflict-ending blow.

Fifth Generation – Involves using non-kinetic military actions, which could use social engineering, misinformation, cyberattacks, artificial intelligence, and fully autonomous systems. Author Daniel Abbot wrote this generation war of “information and perception.” “Operation Mockingbird” refers to the CIA’s 1970’s involvement in journalism. The CIA is said to have bribed college students and legacy journalists, and reporters to write CIA versions of events.

Then Senator Frank Church established the Church Committee to investigate ‘government operations and potential abuses.’ During this investigation, the CIA admitted its manipulation of the mainstream media.

You can learn more about these generations of warfare here: “What are the Generations of Warfare?” – Andrew Marshall.

This latest Fifth Generation of Warfare reminds us of a quote attributed to Nazi German on The Big Lie (German: Große Lüge):

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic, and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
This quote is often attributed to Nazi propaganda chief Joseph Goebbels. Still, the fact is, nobody is sure who said it though it is thought to have originated in the time of Nazi Germany due to when it first surfaced.

Given the Democrats of the left’s penchant for accusing the right of everything they actually do and are guilty of and the fact today’s American Democrats share socialism with the German Nazis of 70+ years ago, one must now have to consider the very real possibility is “The Big Lie” is that there was no election fraud in 2020!

If we look at just the two examples of misinformation (AKA LIES) during the pandemic and the Hunter Biden laptop, it is safe to say the American public is now engaged in Fifth Generation Warfare. When acting president Joe Biden threatens to come for your guns, now would be a good time to tell him to go to hell. It has been said, “The only thing protecting the First Amendment is the Second Amendment.” It has also been said, “Never, throughout the history of time, have those looking to confiscate guns been the good guys.”

Donald Trump is an American hero for exposing the Deep State as reality. Elon Musk is a new American hero for exposing America’s immersion in Fifth Generation Warfare by purchasing Twitter. He is pulling back the curtain to reveal the Wizard, and he is to be thanked and congratulated.

You can learn more about 5GW here in this very well-done video: “5th Generation Warfare: History, Modern Context, and (Some) Solutions

Oncologist Sends Urgent Letter: Stable Cancers and other Diseases Are Rapidly Progressing in 'Boosted' People

In an urgent letter to the editor-in-chief of the medical journal The BMJ, Dr. Angus Dalgleish, Professor of Oncology at the St. George’s University of London, asks for UK’s unnecessary covid vaccine program to end immediately,

The cancer specialist of more than 30 years writes that the link between Covid vaccine and “blood clots, myocarditis, heart attacks, and strokes is now well accepted, as is the link with myelitis and neuropathy.” He adds that he already predicted these side effects in June 2020.

‘Diseases rapidly progress’

Now there is another reason to halt all vaccination programs, says Professor Dalgleish. As a practicing oncologist, he sees people with stable diseases rapidly progress after being forced to have a booster, which many take so they can travel or work.

Patients he sees with a stable disease deteriorate rapidly after taking a booster. Dr. Dalgleish explains,

Even within my own personal contacts I am seeing B cell-based disease after the boosters. They describe being distinctly unwell a few days to weeks after the booster – one developing leukaemia, two work colleagues Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, and an old friend who has felt like he has had Long Covid since receiving his booster and who, after getting severe bone pain, has been diagnosed as having multiple metastases from a rare B cell disorder.

No coincidence

This is no coincidence, emphasizes the oncologist, who pointed out that the same pattern is happening in Germany, Australia, and the United States.

The professor of oncology believes that a public debate should be held immediately about the explosion of diseases after the boosters:

The reports of innate immune suppression after mRNA for several weeks would fit, as all these patients to date have melanoma or B cell based cancers, which are very susceptible to immune control – and that is before the reports of suppressor gene suppression by mRNA in laboratory experiments.

‘Cancers Taking Off Like Wildfire’

Dr. Ryan Cole previously warned that the Covid vaccines are ineffective and responsible for increased cancer cases. Data from his vaccinated patients and data sent to him by oncologists show that the vaccines disrupt the immune system.

The doctors reported they are “seeing the weirdest cancers, and cancers that we have been able to keep in check and treat, taking off like wildfire – going stage 2, stage 3, stage 4, just like that.”

“That’s because of the immune dysregulation these shots cause,” emphasized Dr. Cole. An immune system that becomes compromised cannot keep cancer growth in check.

Last summer, Dr. Dalgleish and his colleague Norwegian scientist Dr. Birger Sørensen released a bombshell study that claimed to prove Chinese scientists created “Covid-19” in a lab and then tried to reverse-engineer versions of the virus to make it look like it evolved naturally from bats.

Facebook Confirms It Has Ties to a U.S. Military Propaganda Campaign

by Mac Slavo
November 27, 2022

In case you were unaware, big tech companies have been working with the United States military to control the official narratives using propaganda. One such covert operation has been confirmed by Meta, Facebook’s parent company and they were pushing pro-U.S. and anti-Russia narratives.

Meta has acknowledged the discovery of several clusters of fake accounts and pages believed to be linked to individuals associated with the US military,” according to the company’s latest adversarial threat report published this week according to a report by RT. The U.S. ruling class has been trying to control and brainwash the public into compliance with their enslavement for decades. This isn’t news, except, Meta is now admitting it.

“Although the people behind this operation attempted to conceal their identities and coordination, our investigation found links to individuals associated with the US military,” the company said in a blog post on Tuesday.

The influence campaign was discovered earlier this year and in total Meta removed 39 Facebook and 26 Instagram accounts, as well as 16 pages and two groups, all for violating the company’s policy against “coordinated inauthentic behavior.”

The social media giant admitted that the large-scale operation ran beyond those several dozen accounts and across many other internet platforms, including Twitter, YouTube and Telegram – as well as major Russian social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki. It seemingly attempted to downplay the discovery by insisting that the “majority of this operation’s posts had little to no engagement from authentic communities” and highlighting similar “deceptive campaigns”by China and Russia.-RT

Meta’s acknowledgment substantiates a bombshell investigation by the Washington Post that revealed the Pentagon was forced to launch a “sweeping audit of how it conducts clandestine information warfare, after a variety of social media accounts, which its operatives used to target foreign audiences in elaborate psychological warfare efforts, were exposed.

The ruling class will stop at nothing to ensure complete compliance and total enslavement of humanity. We need to continue to be aware of what they are doing as a way to cement and expand their own power. If they can no longer control the narrative and the flow of information, they will lose and they know it.

Meta is pretending to be the innocent victim in this, but they knew what was going on and what the ruling class is doing to its subjects. They have been guilty of all kinds of censorship and we know they are working with the masters to keep the slaves distracted, deceived, and divided.
