WATCH: Joe Rogan, InfoWars Destroy Mainstream Media Lies to America About Ivermectin

As the “government-medical-media complex.” attempts to force mass compliance with mRNA vaccination, you and anyone who diverts from the mainstream narrative is branded “conspiracy theorists” or “anti-science.”

The corporate media’s campaign to bombard the public with warnings about Ivermectin being a “horse de-wormer” was disrupted after podcast giant Joe Rogan revealed the medication, which is listed by the National Institute of Health’s website as an ‘antiviral agents approved for covid treatment, effectively helped him fend off the virus.

But the brazen, coordinated attack on Rogan is backfiring, making it clear so-called “misinformation” is simply facts that the powers that be want you to miss or dismiss.

A video montage produced by the InfoWars crew exposes the coordinated effort by the Pfizer-sponsored media to cancel Rogan and censor the truth.

While doctors and pharmacists are being barred by healthcare management from prescribing Ivermectin, a Noble prize-winning medication that has been used to treat humans for parasitic infection for over three decades, over 200 members of Congress have used Ivermectin to effectively fend off covid, Rogan notes.

“It’s fascinating – the exposing of mainstream media. It’s one thing I am very happy about,” he told Michael Malice in his podcast last week. “By the way, 200 Congresspeople have been treated with Ivermectin for Covid. Google that. You can probably find that on Dr. Pierre Kory’s Twitter page.

“I do not know the motivation for demonizing this particular medication,” he added. “But I would imagine some of it has to do with money because… this a generic drug now. The patent has run out… and it’s worth like 30 cents per dose.”

In an interview with WSAU’s Meg Ellefson last week, Dr. Kory argued the concerted effort to withhold ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine from the public is a “tragedy.”

The antiparasitic medication Ivermectin is “without question” a wonder drug with miraculous effectiveness against Covid 19, he said. “It’s proven so. You wouldn’t know that if you live in the United States, but certainly around the world we have incredible accomplishments. For instance, the North Indian state of Uttar Pradesh essentially eradicated covid from a state of 241 million people by using ivermectin systematically throughout the state. They have almost zero cases now.”

“They are trying to dissuade people from using it. That’s the great sadness of this pandemic — there is a war on this drug,” he continued. “In Congress, many of them have been treated with ivermectin. It’s not like they have been silent about it. Most of them are on the right. This idiotic policy we have of ‘stay home’ until your lips turn blue and then come to the E.R., it’s just absurd. Not one of those people who have been treated, the staffersor members of Congress have gone to the hospital. They are trying to avoid all of the compounds that have already been discovered by frontline doctors in order for a ‘blockbuster drug’ and it’s absolutely absurd and people are being harmed over it. It’s really — it’s a tragedy.”

EXPOSED: U.S. Navy’s Plans to Issue Blanket Rejection for ALL Religious Exemptions to the Covid Vaccine Mandate Despite Directly Violating Several Naval Procedures

On Wednesday, independent journalist Liz Wheeler dropped a bombshell when she revealed a series of documents from the US Navy that expose their plans to flagrantly ignore several laws and procedures in order to DENY every single servicemembers’ request for a religious exemption to the federal Covid vaccine mandate.

Traditionally, all religious exemption requests are required to follow a strict procedure when they are received in order to fairly evaluate whether or not the request is granted, but as of right now, the Navy’s woke leadership is much more concerned with partisan politics than following the laws that are on the books.

Wheeler provided screenshots of a pre-typed ‘rejection letter’ with the corresponding commanding officer’s signature already printed on it. This letter was sent to several different members of Naval leadership as a template that could easily be updated with the letterhead and signature of the officer in charge of issuing a decision so they could quickly reject the incoming requests.

In this example, CAPT Marc Ratkus – the Commanding Officer of the Navy’s Center for Information Warfare Training (CIWT) – sent a copy of the ‘standard denial’ memo to CDR Meredith Schley, who is under his command, and instructed her to use it for “all requests” that she receives.

The template even included his letterhead and signature on it.

To her credit, CDR Schley was apparently uncomfortable with Ratkus’ command to use the memo because she believed it was unwarranted interference and would be in direct violation of Naval procedure. According to two sworn affidavits, she had even complained to her colleagues about having to do so, but in the end, followed her orders and denied several exemption requests that she was sent to review.

From the affidavits:
“Commander Schley responded angrily at what she perceived to be interference by her ISIC Captain Marc W. Ratkus, Commanding Officer, CIWT, and his JAG, Lieutenant Jesse K. Posey.
She said, “this is just like the religious accommodations. I said I didn’t want to do this and an hour later he [Captain Marc W. Ratkus] called and directed me what to say.”
9) CDR Schley is knowingly violating policy and CAPT Ratkus is directing her to do so. This also begs the question: How high does this go? This is where it gets murky, but we have clues.

It’s unclear how far up the chain of command this directive is coming from, although, the letter can be traced back to its original author, which is apparently Navy JAG officer LTJG Carlos Pagan.

Pagan reportedly works for 2-star RADM Peter Garvin, who is the commander of Naval Training and Education Command, but, as Wheeler points out, a 2-star general like Garvin should have no role in these religious exemption decisions because the chain of command for these types of requests goes directly to a 3-star CNP after being reviewed by the servicemembers’ O-6 captain.

Navy policy dictates that the request must first be screened by a Chaplain before it can be submitted and subsequently reviewed. After the screening, the sailor’s commanding officer reviews the request to ensure everything is in order, then it’s sent to the first O-6 (Captain) in the chain of command before a final decision is made by the Chief of naval personnel, which is currently VADM John NowellBut as the pre-typed response clearly demonstrates, the chain of command is not following procedure when issuing a decision for these exemptions.
US Naval policy also states each submission must be evaluated on a ‘case-by-case’ basis and requires commanders to pursue the “least restrictive means” when making a decision in order to honor the applicant’s religious convictions.

According to Sec. 2000bb-1 of Title 42 US Code:
“Commanders and staff should remain objective in considering requests to accommodate religious practices.
Commanders will not deny or recommend denial of a religious accommodation unless the denial or partial denial furthers a compelling governmental interest and is the least restrictive means of furthering that compelling governmental interest.
It is essential that commanders articulate the factual basis underlying any compelling government interest and that they articulate why a recommended denial or partial denial is the least restrictive means available to the commander to protect the compelling government interest over the individual request.”
Also included in Wheeler’s extremely comprehensive 30+ tweet thread were several examples of sailors’ who had already seen their requests get denied and had received some version of the templated blanket refusal.

In this example, a rejection letter that was signed by CDR James Brennan – the CO of IWTC Virginia Beach – stated that the unnamed sailor’s request was denied because they failed to include any specific religious “tenant” that would warrant the exemption – but unsurprisingly, both the Sailor and the Chaplain provided highly specific details in the request, including the fact that the vaccines were developed, in part, through use of aborted fetuses.

While it can be claimed that CDR Brennan may have looked at this case on an individual basis, the letter is unable to hide how the Navy’s leadership has chosen to systematically deny these exemptions no matter what. Brennan even admits that the sailor in question has “strong, personally held religious beliefs” against the Covid vaccine, but is ineligible for the exemption because he has a lack of documentation to support his argument.

The unbelievable (and impossible) demand to provide documentation that proves which religious tenant is being violated has never been the standard operating procedure for these requests – Actually, it’s quite the opposite, the protections for religious accommodations have always been extremely broad, making it so that even atheists can utilize a religious exemption if something violates their personally held beliefs.

The Navy’s policy even specifically clarifies that “religious practices” can refer to “any exercise of religion” even if it is not included in an organized religious belief.

So why is are legitimate requests, with documentation of THE FACT that aborted fetal cell linings were used in the development of all 3 available vaccines, being denied?

Because in the Biden regime, things like religious freedoms and the Constitution take a backseat to mindless compliance.

Not only are the servicemembers having their requests denied, but they are also facing unwarranted and abusive ostricization for simply filing the papers.

When an exemption request is submitted, the woke Navy brass also fills out a CHOP sheet, which is a correspondence tracker that is given to leadership for evaluation. The sheet accompanies a sailor’s request as it makes its way to leadership, and includes comments about their case.

In one example that wheeler provided, CDR Michael Tiefel – 2nd in command at CIWT – exposed the politicized nature of these lists in a comment he left for his superior, CAPT Ratkus.

The sailor who is being discussed on the form had provided detailed information in his request from the Charlotte Lozier Institute that showed how, and to what extent, aborted fetal cell lines were used in the development of the Covid vaccines. Instead of factoring that into his assessment, Tiefel refers to the claim as an “alarmist narrative” that originated out of the sailor’s “own research.”

In an attempt to discredit the information, Tiefel cites Pro-Lies.org, which is a radical special interest group that is aggressively pro-abortion. The group routinely insults and stigmatizes the pro-life movement, claiming that people who oppose murdering unborn children are guilty of spreading “dangerous rhetoric” and are “extreme,” “toxic,” and “out of touch.”

Tiefel even quoted the radical abortion site’s description of the Charlotte Lozier Institute WORD-FOR-WORD when he accused the sailor of “pushing alarmist narratives.”

“Note: 1 [ineligible] the Charlotte Lozier Institute on Pro-lies.org. It pushes alarmist narratives and spreads his absurd research.”

In other words, if you are a US service member who has a religious objection to abortion, you are guilty of spreading dangerous ideas according to the Navy’s leaders – what a joke.

Not only is it un-American, but this overreach is also completely unnecessary. Back in July, the previous Commanding officer at IWTC Corry Station sent an email that outlined how they were able to fully accomplish the Navy’s mission, despite 0% vaccination rate on the base – Fast forward to now, and the current CO claims that they might not be able to accomplish the mission even though 99%+ have been vaccinated and, in total, less than 20 people out of 2,500+ have applied for the religious exemption.

As the leaders of our increasingly woke military focus on their radical agenda that includes pushing transgenderism, climate change nonsense, and deserting American citizens in Afghanistan, they are also ramping up their efforts to secure mindless compliance within their own ranks. They have intentionally chosen to undermine every existing protection for religious liberties that’s on the books, in order to issue a blanket rejection to countless sincere religious exemption requests.

To add insult to injury, these partisans use lies that are peddled through crazed left-wing interest groups as the justification behind refusing to accommodate the requests.

As of now, almost 1/3 of the entire US armed forces are fully unvaccinated – In the end, how many will be purged from the woke ranks?

“This is what people in positions of power in the Navy think about people of faith, and these are the resources senior leaders are using to consider these religious exemption requests.

Illinois Reports 77.7% of Its Covid DEATHS Last Week Were “Vaccinated”

The “Pandemic of the Unvaccinated” narrative continues to crumble under the weight of facts. All of the data coming in indicates that those “fully vaccinated” against Covid-19 are just as likely to contract, get hospitalized, and die from the disease as the unvaccinated. Yet the push for anti-science mandates continues unabated with few lawmakers, nobody in mainstream media, and only a handful of brave medical professionals speaking out against them.

The latest hit to the narrative comes out of Illinois where the numbers seem to indicate the Covid jabs aren’t just ineffective, but those who have been injected may be MORE susceptible to the disease, particularly the rising variants. As Steve Deace from The Blaze noted on Twitter:

77.7% is an astounding number by itself, but when we consider the Mayo Clinic‘s numbers indicate 54.4% of Illinois’ population is fully vaccinated, it’s easy to see why nobody in corporate media is touching this story. They are beholden to Big Pharma’s agenda, just like most in our government, Big Tech, academia, and the healthcare industry.

It is long past time for the raw data and actual science to prevail. The powers-that-be are suppressing the truth and too few Americans are standing up to disseminate it. Here’s a perfect opportunity to offer a tidbit of education to those you reach.

Archbishop Vigano Denounces The Coronavirus Vaccine: ‘There Is A Duty To Refuse It’


Catholic Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano denounces the Coronavirus vaccine and the agenda of “the globalist elite” in an amazing letter to American bishops and others published by LifeSiteNews.

Vigano, who has gained worldwide admiration for chastising Catholic Church leaders over issues including the abuse of children, makes it clear that he rejects the vaccine on safety and moral grounds. Vigano calls the vaccine “absolutely immoral” and says that “there is a duty to refuse it categorically.”

Vigano also strongly opposes the Joe Biden regime’s plan to vaccinate children as young as 5 years old. (READ: The FDA Advisory Committee’s Massive Pfizer Connections).

“The Note on the morality of using some anti-Covid-19 vaccines was issued last year in the absence of complete data on both the nature of the gene serum and its components,” Vigano writes in his letter to the bishops and others, in which Vigano exposes the faulty “safety and effectiveness of the vaccines,” argues that “the experimental drugs are not vaccines in the proper sense,” and raises alarms about “side effects on pregnant mothers and nursing children.”

“In this case, the health authorities have decided to carry out experimentation on the entire world population, as an exception to the usual practice of the scientific community, international standards, and the laws of individual nations. This means that the entire population finds itself in the condition of being susceptible to suffering the adverse effects of the vaccine, at their own risk, when normally experimentation is done on a voluntary basis and carried out on a limited number of subjects, who are paid to undergo it,” Vigano writes. “…I think it is evident that there are medical treatments without adverse side-effects, even though they have been systematically boycotted by the Health Institutions – WHO, CDC, EMA – and by mainstream media.”

“Having established that the drugs sold as vaccines do not give any significant benefit and on the contrary may cause a very high percentage of deaths or grave pathologies even in subjects for whom Covid does not represent a threat, I do not think that we can conclude that there is any proportionality between the potential damages and the potential benefits. This means therefore that there is a grave moral obligation to refuse inoculation as a possible and proximate cause of permanent damages or death. In the absence of benefits, there is therefore no need to expose oneself to the risks of its administration, but on the contrary there is a duty to refuse it categorically,” Vigano writes.

“Revelations from Pfizer executives have recently been released showing that the mRNA gene serums contain aborted fetal material not only for the production of the original vaccine, but also for its replication and production on a vast scale…

This makes the use of these drugs absolutely immoral, just as it is immoral and unacceptable to use drugs that use orphaned children for experimentation,” Vigano writes.

“With every passing day, thousands of people are dying or are being affected in their health by the illusion that the so-called vaccines guarantee a solution to the pandemic emergency. The Catholic Church has the duty before God and all of humanity to denounce this tremendous and horrible crime with the utmost firmness, giving clear directions and taking a stand against those who, in the name of a pseudo-science subservient to the interests of the pharmaceutical companies and the globalist elite, have only intentions of death. How Joe Biden, who also defines himself as “Catholic,” could impose vaccination on 28 million children aged 5 to 11, is absolutely inconceivable, if only for the fact that there is practically zero risk of them developing the SARS-CoV-2 disease. The Holy See and the Bishops’ Conferences have the duty to express a firm condemnation in this regard, and also in relation to the very serious side effects that can result for children who are inoculated with the experimental gene serum. It is equally imperative that there be an intervention by the US Bishops’ Conference aimed at promoting the religious exemption and immediately revoking the bans imposed in this regard by many Ordinaries on their priests. Similarly, all vaccination requirements for seminarians and candidates of religious communities must be revoked. Instead, clear directives should be given about the dangers connected to the administration of the vaccine and its grave moral implications,” Vigano writes.

NATIONAL FILE RECENTLY REPORTED: Father James Altman, the Catholic priest who took on the left-wing Democrat agenda and stood up to Dr. Fauci’s Coronavirus tyranny, described his fight to maintain his pastor position against a corrupt Church campaign to get him ousted from the pulpit. Altman revealed details from the behind-the-scenes plot against him at the Stand with Father Altman event in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. Altman works at St. James the Less Roman Catholic Church in La Crosse, Wisconsin, and now the leadership of his diocese wants to force him out. Altman also revealed that some Cardinals in Rome hate him. Father Altman told the U.S. bishops who are against him to “Bring it On.”

“I’m man enough. I can defend myself,” Father Altman said to his supporters in Minnesota, describing the biased effort to force him out. Altman said, “And the USCCB (United States Conference of Catholic Bishops) has their basic playbook about how bishops can get rid of these priests they don’t like and that’s what they do.” Altman called his opponents “Monsters in miters,” and predicted that he will not receive justice within the crooked system. Nevertheless, Altman expressed his faith in the Truth movement, saying, “Everybody’s going to know now…That day is over, bishops of the United States. Because now, we’re coming back.” Altman vowed and told Bishops of the United States who oppose him to “bring it on.”

I, a lowly priest, apparently have created enemies among some of the hierarchies.” But Father Altman outright refused to resign, raised more than $600,000, and prompted the Diocese of La Crosse to vow to force him out. An activist group called Faithful America celebrated Altman’s persecution, boasting, “Altman’s dismissal follows more than 18,000 petition signatures and hundreds of phone calls to Bishop Callahan from Faithful America members.” Faithful America lamented, “On Palm Sunday, Fr. James Altman preached that COVID-19 health guidelines are ‘godless, Nazi-esque controls,’ telling parishioners, ‘God damns every single one of those godless moves.’ He also said Dr. Anthony Fauci’s support for masks ‘is damnable in the hottest fires of hell.’ On Easter, Altman packed in 300-500 parishioners, with at least 50 maskless people jammed in the first five pews — violating his own bishop’s mask and capacity protocols…”

The resurgent labor movement may be the greatest challenge yet to the top-down class warfare of the pandemic era

Back before the COVID-19 pandemic started, the year 2019 saw anti-government demonstrations in Paris, Manila, La Paz, Port-au-Prince, Bogotá, Prague, Quito , Beirut, Hong Kong, London, Baghdad, Barcelona, Budapest, Santiago, New Delhi, Jakarta, Buenos Aires and more, earning the title “the year of the protest.”

It was also a year of resurgent labor activity in the United States. After decades of declining union participation, the country saw 25 major work stoppages involving 425,500 workers, the highest number since 2001.

The economic discontent that propelled both Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders to popularity had been building for many years. As a recent article in the journal American Affairs noted, $34 trillion of real equity wealth, in 2017 dollars, was created between 1989 and 2017. Nearly half that sum (44%) consisted of a reallocation of corporate equity to shareholders at the expense of worker compensation, while economic growth accounted for just 25% of that increase in wealth. In other words, despite the advent of seemingly near-miraculous, time- and space-saving digital technologies, the post-Cold War “economic boom” consisted mainly of America’s wealthy shareholders taking money from its increasingly insecure workforce.

America, and other Western societies, had moved from a model of real growth and expanding benefits for all to a model where the rich got richer by impoverishing the less wealthy orders of society—and the lower orders were fighting back. However, after lockdowns were imposed in March 2020, the balance of power abruptly shifted back toward billionaire oligarchs and large corporations. Tech-based U.S. monopolies widened their profit margins as workers and their children were confined to their homes and the Fed pumped money into Wall Street. As the Fed provided unlimited purchases of corporate debt and securities, millions of people filed for unemployment, nearly 1 in 4 households experienced food insecurity, and 200,000 small businesses closed. The result was an estimated loss of $1.3 trillion in household wealth for American workers. Meanwhile, U.S. billionaires gained $1 trillion.

COVID-19 stopped a nascent American workers’ movement in its tracks, as protests and acts of political rebellion were essentially banned. Amid intense fear and confusion, public health edicts effectively suspended the right to assembly.

The concept of “social distancing” encouraged people to view their neighbors, colleagues, friends, and even family members as potential sources of disease.

“Experts,” technocrats, and corporations became the heroes of the pandemic, while the masses became the villains.

When lockdowns began we were told that we were “all in this together,” but every measure since then has served to entrench inequality, sabotage the middle class, and enrich elites. Images of ultrawealthy celebrities parading around maskless at fancy events, surrounded by masked servants, have provided a powerful visual representation of the COVID-19 era—an era that has seen the greatest upward wealth transfer in modern history. As a result of lockdowns, between 143 million and 163 million people worldwide have fallen into poverty and there was a sixfold increase in the number of people suffering through hunger and starvation. At the same time, tech companies like Amazon, Alphabet, and Microsoft saw record profits.

Today, the U.S. is experiencing the fastest rate of inflation since 2008 and consumer prices have increased by 5.4%. The top 1% of the country has more wealth than the entire middle class, the top 10% own 90% of stocks, and BlackRock and other investment firms are buying up houses. It has been 83 weeks since “two weeks to flatten the curve.” Now, the question is not whether workers will accept temporary lockdowns, but rather, whether they will accept a permanent COVID-industrial-complex that continues to erode their quality of life.

John Deere is expected to see record-breaking earnings of between $5.7 billion and $5.9 billion this year, and the 10,000 UAW members now on strike hope to see their fair share of this windfall. Currently a total of 100,000 U.S. workers from John Deere, Kellogg’s, Warrior Met Coal, Kaiser Permanente, InstaCart, and many other companies are either on strike or have threatened to strike. Will this resurgent labor movement and the growing resistance to vaccine mandates be able to challenge the top-down class warfare of the COVID-19 era?

When “two weeks to flatten the curve” began, the workforce was split in two: Some were defined as “essential” workers, and others as “nonessential.” The “nonessential” ordered delivery from home while farmhands harvested crops, workers in meatpacking plants processed and packaged products, truckers shipped food across the country, cooks prepared dishes, Doordash “dashers” dropped off takeout on doorstops, and sanitation workers picked up the trash.

This division allowed the professional class to be protected from exposure to the virus and set the stage for a two-tier society. These tiers are now upheld by medieval protocols that require service workers to remain masked while patrons show their bare faces, and by vaccine pass systems that disproportionately impact and exclude poor and working-class people, especially people of color.

In conjunction with this sharp class division, government assistance has often benefited the wealthy. In total, eligible Americans got $3,200 through three stimulus checks. However, the first stimulus bill, the CARES Act, provided 43,000 millionaires with $1.7 million each through a tax break, and the second stimulus bill included a $200 billion giveaway for the rich. The CARES Act also bailed out many corporations with few strings attached. In the case of the airline industry, for example, executives used taxpayer money to give themselves bonuses while laying off tens of thousands of employees.

This imbalance is part of what has fueled the ongoing worker revolt. A common theme in worker demands is that they have worked grueling and difficult jobs throughout the pandemic, in some cases barely making a living wage, while executives and shareholders hoard the profits. Another common theme is worker burnout and staffing shortages. In California 24,000 health care workers voted to authorize a strike, citing critical shortages in a third of the state’s hospitals. 78% of registered nurses in the U.S. have reported unsafe staffing conditions, and the NIH has found that increasing a nurse’s workload by just one patient raises the chance of patient mortality by 7%.

Staffing shortages have only been exacerbated by vaccine mandates. In New York state, 83,000 unvaccinated health care workers faced termination before a judge filed an injunction requiring the state to recognize religious exemptions. In the end the mandate reduced New York’s health care workforce by 34,000 workers, and New York’s governor has deployed the National Guard to replace staff in overwhelmed hospitals.

Perhaps the greatest impact of mandates could be on the trucking industry. A poll of truckers found that 26% of respondents would rather be fired than get the COVID-19 vaccine, and another 10% said they would quit before getting the vaccine. The American Truckers Association has come out strongly against vaccine mandates, with union President Chris Spear stating, “The first rule of any public health policy should be ‘do no harm.’ Unfortunately, these latest mandates and the unintended consequences they’ll create fall short of that standard.”

The consequences of a labor rebellion against artificially low wages and vaccine mandates may be even more profound during the winter ahead. Recent supply chain woes are caused by a combination of an energy crisis in China, the long-term effects of lockdowns, and a shortage of 80,000 truckers. These factors have created a feedback loop of backlogs and congestion, leaving nearly half a million containers and dozens of cargo ships waiting at Los Angeles and Long Beach ports, which handle 40% of inbound containers for the U.S., while hundreds of sailors are stranded at sea on cargo vessels that cannot be unloaded. American citizens are beginning to see the effects of this supply chain stress, with some school districts struggling to feed students, changing their lunch menus, and even considering remote learning due to food shortages.

Vaccinated People Also Spread the Delta Variant, Yearlong Study Shows

People inoculated against Covid-19 are just as likely to spread the delta variant of the virus to contacts in their household as those who haven’t had shots, according to new research.

In a yearlong study of 621 people in the U.K. with mild Covid-19, scientists found that their peak viral load was similar regardless of vaccination status, according to a paper published Thursday in The Lancet Infectious Diseases medical journal. The analysis also found that 25% of vaccinated household contacts still contracted the disease from an index case, while 38% of those who hadn’t had shots became infected.

The results go some way toward explaining why the delta variant is so infectious even in nations with successful vaccine rollouts, and why the unvaccinated can’t assume they are protected because others have had shots. Those who were inoculated cleared the virus more quickly and had milder cases, while unvaccinated household members were more likely to suffer from severe disease and hospitalization.

“Our findings show that vaccination alone is not enough to prevent people from being infected with the delta variant and spreading it in household settings,” said Ajit Lalvani, a professor of infectious diseases at Imperial College London who co-led the study. “The ongoing transmission we are seeing between vaccinated people makes it essential for unvaccinated people to get vaccinated to protect themselves.”

Vaccination was found to reduce household transmission of the alpha variant -- first discovered in the U.K. in late 2020 -- by between 40% and 50%, and infected vaccinated individuals had a lower viral load in the upper respiratory tract than those who hadn’t had shots. The delta variant has been the dominant strain globally for some time, however.

The research also showed that immunity from full vaccination waned in as little as three months. The authors said there wasn’t enough data to advise on whether this should lead to a change in the U.K.’s booster policy, where third doses are currently being offered to older and more vulnerable people six months after their second shot.

Six months was an arbitrary time period chosen following early data from Israel on the effectiveness of boosters, but there is no reason to believe they would be less effective if given earlier, said Neil Ferguson, an epidemiologist at Imperial College London and investigator on the study, at a press briefing Thursday.

The booster program could help halt the virus, as extra shots or repeated infections tend to lead to longer immunological memory, potentially protecting people for up to a year, Lalvani said. More data are needed to confirm this, he said.

The authors didn’t analyze infections based on the type of vaccines people had received. Maria Zambon, head of influenza and respiratory virology at the U.K. Health Security Agency, noted that there are still more than 300 vaccines in development, and said it’s possible that future generations of shots may be better at preventing transmission.

On July 15, 2021, the Indonesian Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM) finally granted the Emergency Use Authorization for Ivermectin as the therapeutic drug to cure the Covid-19.

This was due to the country’s “worst-case scenario” epidemic at the time according to officials. The number of cases were soaring in the country and the medical authorities were desperate to control the outbreak.

Indonesia experienced a spike in COVID-19 infection and deaths in July and was struggling to slow the virus transmission due to its large population. The country was one of the nations greatly affected during the COVID pandemic. Indonesia is ranked as the world’s fourth most populous country with 277 million people.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that one of its measures imposed by the Indonesian government was to authorize the use of Ivermectin as a COVID-19 treatment. COVID-19 cases started to fall precipitously and immediately to a low of 924 on the 19th of October.

The Indonesian government on Thursday (July 15) began distributing free medicine and vitamins to self-isolating Covid-19 patients in high-risk areas as the highly transmissible Delta variant of the coronavirus continued to rip through the country, emptying pharmacy shelves.
Each package will have seven days worth of therapeutic Covid-19 drugs and vitamins, and will be given to asymptomatic patients as well as those with mild to moderate symptoms including fever and dry cough. The medication for the latter group will require consultation with a doctor and a prescription.

Medical facilities are stretched thin, and demand for oxygen and medication has also soared. As scores of people are isolating themselves at home and self-medicating, prices of drugs have shot up in pharmacies and online. The health ministry has since moved to cap the prices of drugs such as favipiravir, remdesivir and ivermectin.
After the government authorized the use of Ivermectin for COVID-19 patients and its population, the number of cases have significantly plummeted since July.

The data above proves that Ivermectin played a role in the steep decline of COVID-19 cases. This is obvious despite the claim from fact-checker website below that there is “no evidence that the fall in COVID-19 cases in Indonesia is linked to the use of Ivermectin.”

Here’s the excerpt from Health Feedback:
Clinical trials didn’t show a clear benefit of ivermectin in reducing COVID-19 severity, hospitalization rate, or mortality. Epidemiological evidence also doesn’t indicate that ivermectin helped curb the number of COVID-19 cases and deaths in Indonesia or in other countries.

However, these countries implemented other measures that have proven effective in limiting the spread of the virus, including vaccination and restrictions, which likely contributed to the decline in COVID-19 cases.

Simply because two events coincide in time doesn’t necessarily mean that one caused the other. Firstly, ivermectin endorsement doesn’t tell us whether the Indonesian population actually used ivermectin more than populations in other countries.

Secondly, even if the use of ivermectin did increase following the recommendation, we still can’t assess whether the drop in COVID-19 cases in Indonesia was due to the use of ivermectin or to other factors.

Epidemiological data from countries that recommended ivermectin, such as India and Peru, doesn’t indicate that promoting the drug reduced the spread of the disease or its death toll. Both countries experienced multiple COVID-19 waves with high mortality throughout 2020 and 2021, and both withdrew ivermectin recommendations in 2021.

The massive drop of COVID-19 cases started after the government of Indonesia granted the emergency use of Ivermectin to COVID-19 patients. The country had a very low vaccination rate at the time with only 7.5% fully vaccinated in July.
As of October 27, Indonesia has 25.6% fully vaccinated.

Despite the success of Ivermectin, the fake news media and the government give the credit to the vaccine. President Jokowi of Indonesia during his visit to the G20 and COP26 meetings, said that there should be “more vaccine equity so that developing and poorer countries aren’t left behind.”

Mr Widodo’s comments come as Indonesia attempts to recover from the ravages of the pandemic.

The COVID situation has improved since then, with both deaths and case numbers falling, according to government data.

The vaccination drive has also picked up. According to the latest data from the World Bank, Indonesia has given more than 100 million doses of vaccines in the country, with almost 30% of the population fully vaccinated – no easy feat in a huge archipelago.

But while urban areas like Jakarta are now seeing high levels of vaccination rates, rural areas are harder to get to.
According toprestigious American Dr. Vladimir Zelenko during his exclusive interview with Gateway Pundit, he mentioned that the government is doing a “bait-and-switch.”

28 Million Young Vaccine Guinea Pigs, and Counting

This week, a U.S. Food and Drug Administration panel unanimously (with one abstention) approved Pfizer’s COVID vaccine to be given to 5- to 11-year-old children.

In doing so, the FDA betrayed the expanded mission Congress gave it in the early 1960s after the morning sickness drug thalidomide caused thousands of birth defects in newborn infants in over 40 foreign countries (though exactly how thalidomide caused these defects was not fully understood until just a few years ago).

In 1962, because of thalidomide’s devastating impact, Congress added what were known as the “Kefauver Amendments” to the original bill which created the FDA in 1938. In laymen’s terms, the agency’s fundamental focus became (Page 3 at link) “better extremely safe than sorry.” Those amendments’ most critical elements (Page 5 at link) “authorized the FDA to deny a new drug application (NDA) if there was not substantial evidence that the drug would have its claimed effect.”

The FDA panel’s decision completely and indefensibly abandoned the agency’s posture during the past 60 years by approving the use of the vaccine for 28 million children in the 5-11 age group despite the clear lack of legally required “substantial evidence” of safety, or even efficacy.


The current uncertainty surrounding the use of the vaccine on young children is so severe that one panelist, Dr. Eric Ruben, clearly determined to skip the complete set of clinical trials and other steps ordinarily involved in NDAs for vaccines, asserted that “We’re never gonna learn about how safe the vaccine is until we start giving it. That’s the way it goes.”

They’re also apparently not done. In June, a Cleveland TV station reported (as seen in the final seconds of the video at the link, but not in its transcript) that the “next steps” are “looking at 2- to 5-year-olds, and also the 6 months to two-year-olds.” Pfizer’s own “Clinical Trials in Children” page confirms that the company has been conducting trials on children as young as 6 months old.

We are being led down a dangerous path, as Kaylee McGhee White explained at the Washington Examiner on Wednesday. In her article titled “FDA wants to use children as guinea pigs for COVID-19 vaccines,” she wrote:
It’s one thing to expect grown adults capable of making responsible decisions to get the shot; it’s another to ask minors to become test subjects for a vaccine, especially when the virus this vaccine combats is not a threat to children’s health in the first place.
Families who want to get their children vaccinated against COVID-19 should be free to do so. That’s their choice. The problem, however, is that it’s only a matter of time before they lose that choice and vaccination becomes mandatory.
In California, it’s not even a matter of time. Governor Gavin Newsom has already mandated that all schoolchildren get the shot when it becomes available. This mandate ignores the reality that “approximately double … (the number) of children have died of pneumonia” than have died from COVID since the virus appeared in the U.S. early last year. Absent public pushback, Newsom’s move will surely be followed by similar measures in other blue states governed by control freaks.

In an October 23 letter to the U.S. Catholic Conference of Bishops, Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganó, former Apostolic Nuncio to the USA, wrote:
How Joe Biden, who also defines himself as “Catholic,” could impose vaccination on 28 million children aged 5 to 11, is absolutely inconceivable, if only for the fact that there is practically zero risk of them developing the SARS-CoV-2 disease. The Holy See and the Bishops’ Conferences have the duty to express a firm condemnation in this regard, and also in relation to the very serious side effects that can result for children who are inoculated with the experimental gene serum.
When will Catholics, people of other faiths, and other Americans from all walks of life wake up, see what’s happening in plain sight, and scream, “STOP!”? Time is running short.

FDA Adviser Explains Why He Abstained From Vote On Pfizer's COVID-19 Vaccine For Kids

The only Food and Drug Administration vaccine advisory panel member to abstain from a major vote this week that essentially authorized Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine for children as young as 5 said he did so because of limited safety and efficacy data.

All 17 others voted to advise the administration, or the FDA, to authorize the jab for children between the ages of 5 and 11. The agency already supported doing so and is expected to formalize the authorization soon. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention would then decide which children should get the shot.
The vote was preceded by nearly eight hours of discussions and presentations, with multiple members expressing concern about the scant data on how the vaccine will affect the age group.

But Dr. Michael Kurilla, an expert on infectious diseases and pathology who directs a division inside the National Institutes of Health, was the only one who didn’t support the recommendation.



Kurilla told The Epoch Times in an email that he opposed the specific, binary wording of the question, which opens up the possibility that any child between 5 and 11 will be able to get the Pfizer vaccine. He was also concerned about the longest follow-up for the clinical trial involving the age group being only three months, data that shows children experience severe cases of COVID-19 much less often than adults, and how a large chunk of them have already had the disease, giving them some level of immunity.

If the authorization goes through as expected, at least some of the age group will be able to get two doses of 10 micrograms each, spaced three weeks apart.
The same dosage interval, with a dosage level three times as high, is currently in place for adults. But adults have seen waning effectiveness, especially against infection, prompting the recent authorization of booster doses.

Because the interval is the same, it can be predicted that the effectiveness will also wane in children, Kurilla said. The lower dosage level, meanwhile, brings into question whether the protection against severe disease and hospitalization will be as strong as in adults.
“Real-world evidence involving adults suggest the 3-week dosing interval is suboptimal in terms of durability and is likely to be similar in children, leading to waning immunity within 4–6 months,” Kurilla said.

“Because the Pfizer vaccine offers protection against serious disease even after antibody titers have waned, there is some other basis for immunity, but at the lower dose in children, there is no expectation that those same immune processes will behave similarly to the higher adult dose.”

Low Hospitalization Rate
During the meeting, members heard that among children 5 to 11 in the United States, there have been over 1.9 million infections since the start of the pandemic, but just 0.4 percent, or 8,400 of those cases, have required hospital care. And just 94 of them ended up dying.

They also heard that an estimated 20 percent of the hospitalized children were admitted for a reason besides COVID-19 and that nearly seven out of 10 of the children had existing serious health conditions like heart disease, illustrating just how little risk COVID-19 poses to healthy children.

Further, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that 40 percent of children in the age group have already had COVID-19. Recovery from COVID-19 bestows some level of immunity, studies show, with multiple studies indicating the level is actually higher than vaccines provide.
“The benefit here is assumed to be prevention of severe disease, which is what we’re all hoping for,” Kurilla said during the meeting.
But among the recovered, he added later, “The question really becomes, does this vaccine offer any benefits to them at all?”
Kurilla signaled he would have voted “yes” if the FDA had proposed opening up access to the vaccine to a subset of the 5–11 group. He also explained why he abstained.

“My abstention was based on the specific question the FDA asked. A ‘no’ vote would have been misconstrued as my opinion about the vaccine,” he told The Epoch Times. “There are high-risk groups within the 5–11 age group that would benefit from the vaccine, suggesting a more tailored approach.”

Others Question Widespread Use
Additional panel members openly questioned whether all young children should get the vaccine.

“I’m torn. On one hand, we know that many mothers and fathers and parents are eager to administer this vaccine to children because they’re so frightened, perhaps overly so, … that they really are anticipating having access to this vaccine in children,” said Dr. Cody Meissner, the director of pediatric infectious disease at Tufts Medical Center.
On the other hand, I think we saw that approximately 68 percent of the children who are hospitalized with COVID-19 have underlying comorbidities. That means about 32 percent do not.
And then if we were to take 40 percent of that group that may have immunity already, we’re getting down to a very small percent of otherwise healthy 6- to 11-year-old children who might derive some benefit,” he added.
But others said they saw the need for the vaccination. The protection it gives would prevent more hospitalizations and ensure schools remain open, some argued.

“We don’t want children to be dying of COVID, even if it is far fewer children than adults, and we don’t want them in the ICU,” said Dr. Amanda Cohn, a CDC official.

Jeannette Lee, a biostatistics professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, said she was impressed by the data presented by Pfizer, which relied on an approach called immunobridging. In this case, Pfizer’s trial showed the vaccine triggered antibodies in children. The antibodies were compared to those elicited in older groups, and that was used as proof the vaccine will protect the kids against COVID-19.

Kurilla, though, voiced disapproval with the approach, telling colleagues “it’s being based on an immunogenicity marker that we know wanes.”

He said he hoped for more flexibility in the authorization, including a single dose for some children and no doses for others, based on factors like prior infection.

“There are high-risk individuals and I think they do need to be attended to, that we do need to provide a vaccine for them. But for many others, one dose—or no dose, even, if they’ve had prior COVID infection. I think they may not need anything more,” he said.

Side Effects
Cases of heart inflammation after receipt of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are highest in youth, especially boys in their teens. Based on reports submitted to the federally run Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), the cases are higher than expected in males aged 12 to 49 after the second Pfizer dose and females 12 to 24 after the second Pfizer dose.

Over half of the children with confirmed myocarditis or pericarditis studied in the Vaccine Safety Datalink surveillance system required hospital care, though no post-vaccination deaths due to the conditions have been confirmed, according to federal authorities.

Pfizer said none of the 5- to 11-year-olds in its trials experienced post-vaccination heart inflammation. Using a third of the amount of that given to older people is, in part, an attempt to curb side effects, though how that will ultimately turn out is unknown.

FDA scientists said they determined the vaccine would prevent more COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths among the age group than vaccine-linked heart inflammation cases, hospitalizations, and deaths. They assumed a vaccine efficacy of 70 percent against COVID-19 cases and an efficacy of 80 percent against hospitalizations linked to the disease. Among young males, “the benefits appear to outweigh the risks,” Hong Yang, an FDA scientist, told members.

Among young females, “the benefits clearly outweigh the risks,” she added.

“What will the actual myocarditis rate be in these younger kids?” Dr. Ofer Levy, director of the Precision Vaccines Program at Boston Children’s Hospital, wondered. That group “may be less susceptible to myocarditis, but right now that’s a speculation,” he added. “We don’t know that for sure.”

Members of the public also expressed concern, arguing the safety data wasn’t sufficient to authorize the vaccine for children so young.

But other members pointed to the trial data, the fact fewer reports have come in for 12- to 15-year-olds than 16- and 17-year-olds, and how, generally, fewer younger children experience heart inflammation versus older ones.

“I am not as concerned about myocarditis in this age group as I am in the older kids,” Dr. Melinda Wharton, another CDC official, said.

Surveillance systems like VAERS will help detect if inflammation becomes an issue in the younger children, members said.

“If the surveillance systems do start seeing severe outcomes and deaths from vaccination, I’m quite confident that those surveillance systems will tell us that we need to pause like we did with the J&J vaccine to really have a good idea of what the effects are vaccinating this age group,” said Dr. Patrick Moore, professor at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute.

The ‘Yes’ Votes
Ultimately, most members said the benefits and predicted benefits of the vaccine in the 5- to 11-year-olds outweighed the risks and potential risks.

“I think this vaccine will likely be effective in reducing pediatric COVID in this age group and may also help reduce transmission. On the safety end, I’m encouraged by the lower dose, … finding a dose that’s immunogenic and had not too much in terms of reactogenicity,” said Dr. Ofer Levy, director of the Precision Vaccines Program at Boston Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Eric Rubin, an adjunct professor at the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health, said he wanted to give parents the choice to vaccinate their kids, imagining he had a child who was a transplant recipient, though he joined others in saying there are probably some younger children who shouldn’t get the vaccine.

“The question of how broadly to use it, though, I think is a substantial one. And I know it’s not our question, but I—and I know we’re kind of punting that to [the CDC’s advisory panel]—but I do think that it’s a relatively close call,” he said.

Soon after, in a comment that was widely distributed online, he added:

“We’re never going to learn about how safe this vaccine is unless we start giving it. That’s just the way it goes. That’s how we found out about rare complications of other vaccines, like the rotavirus vaccine.”

Rubin told The Epoch Times in an email, responding to critics: “The clinical trial of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in children showed no adverse events. All data to date indicate that it is safe. It will prevent the hospitalization of children with severe disease, as it does with adults. The vaccine works, and saves lives.”

Latest Lancet Study Exposes Limits Of Vaccines At Preventing COVID Infection

The Lancet has just released another study comparing the efficacy of COVID vaccines to the efficacy of protection provided by previous COVID infections.

Their conclusion: while vaccines lower the risk of infections with the delta variant within households, those who are fully vaccinated are still vulnerable to a 'breakthrough' infection if somebody they live with gets infected.



What's more, people who have been vaccinated against COVID can be equally as infectious as the unvaccinated, the study showed.

The new study, which was published Thursday in the Lancet, the British medical journal that published some of the earliest research on COVID, is one of few to use detailed infection data from actual examples of household transmission, and it showed that - as we noted above - the viral loads of both vaccinated and unvaccinated patients infected with COVID are "broadly similar".

The study involved 621 people in the UK with mild COVID infections, identified via the UK's contact-tracing system.



The data showed that vaccination status doesn't make a whole lot of difference in the ability to pass COVID on to others.

Roughly 25% of vaccinated household members subsequently tested positive for the virus after close contact with a fellow household member with a confirmed case of COVID. That's compared with 38% of infection for people who haven't been vaccinated.

These data show that the delta variant has a "greater capability for breaching the vaccine's defenses when compared with predecessors.

"Our findings show that vaccination alone is not enough to prevent people from being infected with the Delta variant and spreading it in household settings," said Professor Ajit Lalvani of Imperial College London, the co-leader of the study.

The study's author said the lower transmission rates between vaccinated patients is just another reason to get the jab - although not a particularly compelling one.
"The ongoing transmission we are seeing between vaccinated people makes it essential for unvaccinated people to get vaccinated to protect themselves from acquiring infection and severe Covid-19, especially as more people will be spending time inside in close proximity during the winter months," he said.
The study also underlines the importance of the vulnerable to get booster shots, since it also shows that vaccine immunity wanes with time.
"We found that susceptibility to infection increased already within a few months after the second vaccine dose – so those eligible for Covid-19 booster shots should get them promptly," the professor said.
Following a summary of its findings, the Lancet wrote the "interpretation" of the study: "Vaccination reduces the risk of delta variant infection and accelerates viral clearance. Nonetheless, fully vaccinated individuals with breakthrough infections have peak viral load similar to unvaccinated cases and can efficiently transmit infection in household settings, including to fully vaccinated contacts. Host–virus interactions early in infection may shape the entire viral trajectory."

(NASDAQ: TFFP), a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing innovative drug products based on its patented Thin Film Freezing (TFF) technology platform, today announced that it has received approval from Health Canada to begin a Phase 1 clinical trial of a dry powder formulation of niclosamide, an antiviral treatment with potential to address COVID-19 and other infectious diseases.

The Phase 1 study was cleared by Health Canada via a No Objection Letter (NOL) received on October 22, 2021. TFF Pharmaceuticals anticipates the first patient will be dosed in the study in November and that enrollment will be completed by early Q1 2022.

We believe that our preclinical results for inhaled niclosamide will translate to positive outcomes in humans and look forward to initiating the study.”

First approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for use in humans in 1982, niclosamide is an oral anthelmintic drug and is included in the World Health Organization's list of essential medicines1. It has been used to safely treat millions of patients and was recently shown to exhibit potent antiviral activity against SARS-CoV-22, but has limited water solubility as well as low absorption and oral bioavailability. TFF Pharmaceuticals’ Thin Film Freezing technology enables the development of a dry powder formulation of niclosamide that can be delivered directly to the site of viral replication within the lungs by inhalation and administered to patients in an outpatient setting using a standard dry powder inhaler.

In June 2021, the Company published in vivo pharmacokinetic data in hamsters and rats showing sufficient lung exposure to achieve an antiviral effect. An accompanying GLP inhalation toxicology study showed no toxicity from the inhaled formulation of niclosamide. Recently, the Company completed an in vivo efficacy study that showed a seven-fold reduction in lung viral load in a hamster model when dry powder niclosamide was administered 24 hours after inoculation with SARS-CoV-2 when the disease was already severe.3

The Phase 1 study will consist of a Single Ascending Dose (SAD) phase with single inhalation doses of 0.5, 2, and 6 mg in three cohorts of healthy volunteers, including six volunteers that will receive active drug and two that will receive placebo; followed by a Multiple Ascending Dose (MAD) phase in which two cohorts of healthy volunteers will receive doses of 3 and 6 mg, respectively, every 12 hours (BID dosing) for five days. Following results from the Phase 1 trial, the next step will be to initiate a Phase 2/3 study in patients with COVID-19. Per an agreement initiated in August 2020, UNION Therapeutics A/S (UNION) has an option to exclusively license the dry powder formulation of niclosamide.

Media didn’t disclose doctor’s $2M in Pfizer funding in coverage promoting child vaccination

Several of Canada’s largest legacy media companies failed to reveal nearly $2 million worth of Pfizer Pharmaceuticals funding that a leading pediatrics professor from Alberta has received while pushing for vaccination of 5-11-year-olds.

Dr. Jim Kellner, a pediatrician and University of Calgary professor, has been cited as an authority in dozens of articles published by CTV News, CBC, Global News, the Toronto Star, and the Globe and Mail on vaccinating children and other pandemic related issues.

Since 2014, Kellner’s research has received $1,940,443 from Pfizer Pharmaceuticals for various vaccine studies, with the most recent grant of $787,004 being allocated until the year 2022.

Kellner’s research funding was not disclosed by the above outlets in numerous articles going back to 2020 despite it being publicly reported in his CV, which is published on the University of Calgary’s website.

According to his CV, the latest spate of funding is for “Calgary Area Streptococcus pneumoniae Epidemiology Research” and a “Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine.”

True North reached out to Kellner for comment and clarification regarding his Pfizer funding and media appearances but did not receive a reply by the time this article was published.

Throughout the pieces where Kellner is cited, he is alternatively referenced to as a “professor and researcher,” “pediatrician”, “infectious disease specialist at the Alberta Children’s Hospital,” ”infectious disease expert”, “member of the federal COVID-19 Immunity Taskforce” and other variations. Kellner is also employed by Alberta Health Services.

An article published by CBC News this Wednesday titled “Wondering about vaccinating younger kids against COVID-19? Alberta experts weigh in,” cites Kellner on the topic of giving the Pfizer vaccine to kids without referencing his funding.

“From my perspective the risk benefit analysis is showing there’s a definite benefit to providing the vaccine to prevent infection and prevent serious outcomes of COVID-19,” Kellner is quoted as saying.

In another article published in April by the public broadcaster, Kellner encourages expanding the groups of people eligible for a COVID vaccine “especially by age” and is quoted as saying that “the No. 1 thing that can make a difference is vaccination.”

According to CBC search results, Kellner’s name turns up over 41 times and appears in numerous videos and articles on the topic of vaccination without any indication of how much money he has received from the vaccine manufacturer Pfizer.

Government of Canada data shows that the Pfizer-BioNTech (Cormirnaty) vaccine is the most used vaccine in Canada with over 14 million Canadians having received at least one dose of the product.

In an article published in June by the Globe and Mail, Kellner questions the protection natural immunity offers.

“We’re encouraging and it’s recommended that people who’ve had COVID get vaccinated, and you could argue that people who have had COVID may be more likely to get vaccinated, having had the experience,” Kellner told the Globe and Mail.

The outlet has cited Kellner as an authority at least seven times.

As for the Toronto Star, Kellner shows up as an expert in at least 11 articles, many of which promote vaccination of children all without disclosing his funding.

The latest article published on October 18, 2021, features Kellner discussing Pfizer vaccine trials on kids and is quoted alongside Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla.

Similarly, Global News cites Kellner numerous times including in interviews on his research on COVID-19 and children without revealing his nearly $2 million in funds from Pfizer.

As for CTV News, Kellner makes several headline appearances in his role as a pediatrician including in an article dated October 20, 2020.

“If a higher percentage of children attending school can be vaccinated, that’s going to be an important part of helping make things safer going forward, and helping us get back to normal,” Kelner is quoted as saying in the article which doesn’t disclose his funding from Pfizer.

According to CTV News’ search results, Kellner’s name is cited in at least four articles on COVID-19 going back to 2020, none of which mention his ties with the vaccine manufacturer.

True North has reached out to all of the relevant outlets cited in this article but did not receive a response by the given deadline.

As exclusively reported by True North earlier this month, the Globe and Mail and the Toronto Star similarly didn’t disclose the AstraZeneca funding of prominent op-ed writer and professor Mark Lautens.

The Republican-controlled Florida legislature is unlikely to ban President Biden’s vaccine mandates, according to Speaker-Designate Paul Renner (R).

Renner conveyed to Florida Politics that Gov. Ron DeSantis’ (R) special session in November will not meet many demands of the voters because “neither mandates nor employee restrictions will receive strong support,” the publication wrote.

“Probably nobody’s happy at the end,” Renner said in an interview.

“The people on the side of vaccinate or terminate are unhappy. And the people that are on the side of, ‘I can tell my employer what the terms of my employment are and if I get sick they have to pay for it,’ they’re probably not going to be happy either,” the Palm Coast Republican explained.

Renner added the Biden-Harris administration promised unity after taking office but have failed to do so. “The Biden administration, they promised us unity.

They’ve given us uniformity. And there’s been no sense of balance,” Renner said.

Though the Republican-controlled legislature may not ban vaccine mandates, it is not entirely clear the governor requested the state legislature to terminate the mandates.

Upon announcing the special session, the office of DeSantis on October 22 released a document seemly void of any request for the legislature to ban the mandate. The document alternatively asks the legislature to provide certain social benefits for employees being fired for noncompliance with the mandate.

Republican Florida House Speaker Chris Sprowls (R) and President of the Florida Senate Wilton Simpson (R) responded to DeSantis’ document by suggesting they will consider his request but did not mention any action against the mandate would occur.

State representative and congressional candidate Anthony Sabatini (R) reacted to the legislature’s failure to halt the mandate, calling the leaders of the legislature RINOs. “Florida’s Legislative RINO ‘leaders’ just gave a massive middle finger to @GovRonDeSantis,” he tweeted.

As the legislative session begins in November, it must be noted the GOP has controlled the Florida legislature and governorship for 22 straight years since 1999.

Meanwhile, DeSantis announced Thursday he would sue the federal government to counter the vaccine mandates.

“Because the government’s unlawful vaccine requirement seeks to interfere with Florida’s employment policies and threaten Florida with economic harm and the loss of federal contracts, the State seeks relief from this Court,” the lawsuit reads.

The Food and Drug Administration on Friday paved the way for children ages 5 to 11 to get Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine.
The FDA cleared kid-size doses — just a third of the amount given to teens and adults — for emergency use, and up to 28 million more American children could be eligible for vaccinations as early as next week.

One more regulatory hurdle remains: On Tuesday, advisers to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will make more detailed recommendations on which youngsters should get vaccinated, with a final decision by the agency’s director expected shortly afterwards.

“With this vaccine kids can go back to something that’s better than being locked at home on remote schooling, not being able to see their friends,” said Dr. Kawsar Talaat of Johns Hopkins University. “The vaccine will protect them and also protect our communities.”

A few countries have begun using other COVID-19 vaccines in children under 12, including China, which just began vaccinations for 3-year-olds. But many that use the vaccine made by Pfizer and its partner BioNTech are watching the U.S. decision, and European regulators just began considering the companies' kid-size doses.

With FDA's action, Pfizer plans to begin shipping millions of vials of the pediatric vaccine — in orange caps to avoid mix-ups with the purple-capped doses for everyone else — to doctors' offices, pharmacies and other vaccination sites. Kids will get two shots, three weeks apart.

While children are at lower risk of severe illness or death from COVID-19 than older people, 5- to 11-year-olds still have been seriously affected — including over 8,300 hospitalizations, about a third requiring intensive care, and nearly 100 deaths since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, according to the FDA.

And with the extra-contagious delta variant circulating, the government has counted more than 2,000 coronavirus-related school closings just since the start of the school year, affecting more than a million children.

Earlier this week, FDA's independent scientific advisers voted that the pediatric vaccine's promised benefits outweigh any risks. But several panelists said not all youngsters will need to be vaccinated, and that they preferred the shots be targeted to those at higher risk from the virus.

Nearly 70% of 5- to 11-year-olds hospitalized for COVID-19 in the U.S. have other serious medical conditions, including asthma and obesity, according to federal tracking. Additionally, more than two-thirds of youngsters hospitalized are Black or Hispanic, mirroring long-standing disparities in the disease's impact.

The question of how broadly Pfizer's vaccine should be used will be a key consideration for the CDC and its advisers, who set formal recommendations for pediatricians and other medical professionals.

A Pfizer study of 2,268 schoolchildren found the vaccine was nearly 91% effective at preventing symptomatic COVID-19 infections, based on 16 cases of COVID-19 among kids given dummy shots compared to just three who got vaccinated.
The kid dosage also proved safe, with similar or fewer temporary reactions — such as sore arms, fever or achiness — that teens experience.

But the study wasn’t large enough to detect any extremely rare side effects, such as the heart inflammation that occasionally occurs after the second full-strength dose, mostly in young men and teen boys. It's unclear if younger children getting a smaller dose also will face that rare risk.

Some parents are expected to vaccinate their children ahead of family holiday gatherings and the winter cold season.

But a recent Kaiser Family Foundation survey suggests most parents won't rush to get the shots. About 25% of parents polled earlier this month said they would get their children vaccinated “right away.” But the remaining majority of parents were roughly split between those who said they will to wait to see how the vaccine performs and those who said they “definitely” won't have their children vaccinated.

The similarly made Moderna vaccine also is being studied in young children, and both Pfizer and Moderna also are testing shots for babies and preschoolers.

Speaker-Designate Paul Renner predicts no one will leave satisfied from a soon-to-be-announced Special Session on vaccine mandates.

“Probably nobody’s happy at the end,” he said. “The people on the side of vaccinate or terminate are unhappy. And the people that are on the side of, ‘I can tell my employer what the terms of my employment are and if I get sick they have to pay for it,’ they’re probably not going to be happy either.”

Renner’s comments came at the 2021 annual meeting for Florida TaxWatch, and the same day Gov. Ron DeSantis was expected to announce details of a Session. The lawmaker stressed he doesn’t speak for the full Legislature and is not yet the presiding officer over the House.

The Palm Coast Republican cast more shade at President Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate, which is prompting DeSantis to call a Special Session weeks before the Regular Session begins.

“The Biden administration, they promised us unity. They’ve given us uniformity. And there’s been no sense of balance,” Renner said.

He characterized mandates as a likely overreach, much as last year’s COVID-19 lockdowns ultimately turned out to be.
“I don’t think there’s anybody anywhere on the political spectrum that thinks we ought to be in full blown lockdown and shut the economy (down) because we see how awful that has been,” Renner said.

The pandemic will eventually become endemic and a fact of life, Renner said. While he did not want to compare COVID-19 to the flu, he said the government should ultimately take a similar approach to COVID-19 vaccines as to flu shots. Encourage them, but don’t mandate them.

At the same time, he said many in the Republican Legislature have little appetite for telling employers how to run their businesses. That may mean any ban on employers imposing their own requirements on workers to get the jab may fall flat.

The US Supreme Court on Friday rejected a challenge from a group of Maine health care workers seeking to block a vaccine mandate based on religious grounds.

Recall, Democrat Governor Janet Mills in August announced that healthcare workers in Maine must be fully vaccinated by October 29.

The Liberty Counsel filed a lawsuit on behalf of approximately 2,000 healthcare workers in August.

Last Tuesday the Supreme Court declined to hear an emergency appeal attempting to stop a Covid vaccine mandate for healthcare workers in Maine.

Far-left Justice Stephen Breyer, who oversees complaints for the First Circuit, rejected the emergency appeal last week in the first time the highest court of the land has weighed in on a statewide Covid vaccine mandate.

Breyer denied the emergency request “without prejudice” which left the door open for Liberty Counsel to file another application for injunctive relief and Breyer referred it to the entire court.

On Friday, the highest court of the land in a 6-3 vote rejected the health care workers’ request.

Three conservative justices, Neil Gorsuch, Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito said they would have ruled in favor of the Christian group seeking relief from the Covid vaccine mandate.

“Healthcare workers who have served on the front line of a pandemic for the last 18 months are now being fired and their practices shuttered,” Gorsuch wrote in a dissenting opinion. “All for adhering to their constitutionally protected religious beliefs. Their plight is worthy of our attention. I would grant relief.”

Amy Coney Barrett and Brett Kavanaugh, both Trump appointees, wrote an opinion concurring with the liberals in the denial of injunctive relief.

University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey is mandating Covid booster shots for employees who got the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

“Data and analysis indicate that a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine may no longer confer a level of effectiveness that prevents COVID-19 infection in enough of our employees if they are exposed, which has implications on our ability to keep vulnerable patients and families safe,” President and CEO of the hospital Dr. Shereef Elnahal said in a statement.

At least in a hospital in Newark, New Jersey, that is now the case for certain employees.

University Hospital in Newark is believed to be the first in the state to implement a COVID-19 vaccine booster mandate for employees who got the single-dose Johnson & Johnson shot, according to a hospital representative.

The new requirement, announced Oct. 27, comes after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and FDA’s authorization of Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson booster shots for targeted American populations.
CDC Director Rochelle Walensky last Friday said the US may change its definition of “fully vaccinated” as booster shots become available for everybody.

“We have not yet changed the definition of ‘fully vaccinated.’ We will continue to look at this. We may need to update our definition of ‘fully vaccinated’ in the future,” Walensky said during a press briefing last week.

D.C. Judge Blocks Military Members And Employees From Being Fired Over Vaccine Mandate After Lawsuit

Several unvaccinated government employees, including active-duty military members, who were named in the lawsuit challenging the president’s vaccination mandate as illegal were granted a temporary restraining order on Thursday by a federal judge in Washington.

The plaintiffs are requesting a religious exemption from the Biden vaccination requirement for federal employees, which was originally disclosed officially on September 9.

As reported by Fox News, District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly ruled that none of the civilian employee plaintiffs would be subject to discipline while their request for a religious exemption was ongoing.

Additionally, according to Judge Kollar-Kotelly’s judgment, Kotelly’s active-duty military plaintiffs whose religious exemption petitions have been refused will not be penalized or separated while their appeals are pending.

Jenna Ellis, a political journalist, and lawyer shared the decision on Twitter on Thursday: “This is an amazing development from the DC District Court in the stand for OUR RIGHTS against the unconstitutional vaccine mandates,” she said.

As reported by Fox News, “the court additionally ordered that the defendants in the Biden administration file a supplemental notice by noon on Friday, indicating whether they will agree that no plaintiff will be penalized or dismissed until the court’s judgment.”

Plaintiffs’ attorney Mike Yoder followed suit with a similar statement to Biden’s. According to his tweet, “I will be immediately filing suit against [Joe Biden] regarding his [overboard] & unconstitutional vaccine mandate.”

In addition, Yoder stated that “Your executive order may not be about freedom, but this lawsuit sure as hell is.”

Yoder went on a rant about the mandate on the internet the day before he was granted a temporary restraining order in his favor.

According to him: “Under Biden, exercising your religious freedoms will get your fired, for cause and you lose your benefits,” he wrote. “But if you perjure yourself like FBI’s Andy McCabe, you’ll get a pension, $200,000 in backpay, & $500,000 worth of attorneys fees.”

“The agreement does not change the findings of DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz that McCabe lied under oath to investigators on three occasions; it simply eliminates all consequences for doing so.” wrote The Hill in an op-ed last month.

As President Joe Biden stated in September, mandated immunization and testing, as well as mask restrictions, affect not just government employees, but also numerous private enterprises.

As The Daily Wire noted at the time, “Companies with at least 100 employees must require their employees get vaccinated or submit to weekly COVID-19 tests under a new Biden administration plan to combat the coronavirus and encourage vaccination.” “President Joe Biden is scheduled to outline a revamped federal strategy to address COVID-19 that includes far more invasive regulations and restrictions than the federal government has put in place to date. Part of Biden’s six-point plan involves cracking down on 100+ employee companies to push their employees to get vaccinated against COVID-19.”

As reported by The Wall Street Journal, the United States Labor Department aims to release an emergency interim standard in a couple of weeks “implementing the new requirement, which will cover 80 million private-sector workers. …

Businesses that don’t comply can face fines of up to $14,000 per violation, [officials] said.”

Particularly noteworthy is that Daily Wire co-founder and co-CEO Jeremy Boreing reacted to the announcement immediately through Twitter, stating that he would not comply with Biden’s demands.

In a video leaked by a whistleblower within the New York City Police Department, NYPD Commissioner Dermont Shea urges police officers to take the $500 bonus and comply with the mayor’s vaccine mandate by Friday’s deadline or else be placed on unpaid leave on Monday when the city’s verification of vaccine status ramps up.

“We’re at the end of the wire here. It is now Wednesday morning. By Friday you’re supposed to be vaccinated,” the top cop warns in an internal video memo circulated among NYPD staff on Wednesday.

New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio initially attempted to bribe the public into getting the jab by offering freebies — teaming up with fast-food chains like Shake Shack to offer free burgers to the public in exchange of getting vaccinated.

In September, the Democrat Mayor coaxed city workers coaxed into getting the first vaccine with an offer $100 bonus. Unable to coerce one hundred percent of the workers into compliance, many opted to take a Covid test weekly instead of getting the jab, prompting the mayor to up the vaccine reward money to $500 ahead of the Nov 1. deadline.

Police officers who have yet to comply with the vaccine mandate are still eligible for a $500 bonus incentive if they follow the mayor’s before Friday, Shea assured.

“What does it mean if you haven’t been vaccinated? Well, what it means is starting on Monday you will be put in a no-pay status. I know there’s a lot of questions about this. I wish I had all the answers. I don’t at this point in time.

Some of this is still being worked out with City Hall and collective bargaining and unions and things of that nature,” he said. “You have to be vaccinated by Friday. In fact, they’re still doing this $500 if you get vaccinated between Oct. 20 and Oct. 29 and that’s Friday’s date.”

Those who refuse to get the vaccine by Monday can kiss their jobs goodbye, the commissioner continued.

“On Monday when this thing really starts being enforced, we’re going to check your vaccination status and if you’re not vaccinated, no pay, and you’re gonna be not able to work,” he said.

The prospect of no pay will force workers to comply, boasted De Blasio boasted on Thursday.

“We expected that a lot of the vaccinations would happen toward the end of the deadline,” the Democrat mayor said. “We also know a lot of people make the decision once they really realize that they’re not going to get paid. That’s just the human reality.”

On Tuesday, approximately 73 percent of the department’s workforce, which includes nearly 35,000 uniformed officers and just under 18,000 civilian employees, had been vaccinated, the New York Post reports.

While hundreds more lined up to get the jab before Friday, the vaccine mandate is resulting in a slew of NYPD retirements. The dwindling police force will further hinder the department’s ability to keep the Big Apple safe.

Liberal pushes to “defund the police” have led to soaring crime rates in the city.

In July, De Blasio backed a city council vote to slash the police budget by $1 billion, prompting crime to spike, lagging police response times and more than 5,300 uniformed officers to retire — a 75 percent spike from the year before.

Even as scientific studies show that vaccines alone cannot extricate humanity from the Covid-19 crisis, governments are rushing headlong towards the creation of a ‘vaccinated economy’ without any consideration for the consequences. It’s time for an injection of sanity and informed democratic debate.

An astonishing thing happened this week that should have – were it not for a media industrial complex that coddles and cossets the powers that be – incited journalists to scream bloody murder around our increasingly imprisoned planet.

What the world got instead was the deafening cacophony of crickets.

When a reporter asked New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern about the possibility of the Pacific island nation being fragmented into two distinct classes of citizens – the vaccinated and unvaccinated – Arden didn’t miss a beat as she responded with her trademark Cheshire grin, “That is what it is. So yep. Yep.”

After being further prodded by the deferential journalist as to why she favored apartheid, Ardern, who has already mandated vaccines for government employees or else, responded, unscientifically, that “people who have been vaccinated will want to know that they are around other vaccinated people; they’ll want to know that they’re in a safe environment.”

Under normal conditions – that is, before scientific inquiry was sent back kicking and screaming to the Dark Ages – Ardern’s outrageous remark would have been greeted by robust and vigorous debate from both the political and medical communities. After all, the vaccinated should feel absolutely at ease mingling among the unvaccinated in stuffy public places given that they are, supposedly, protected? Isn’t that the point of the vaccines, to protect the vaccinated and get us back to some semblance of ‘normal’? If not, then why the incessant push to jab every single person on the planet, and not just once, as initially promised, but multiple times? The answer, at least according to Queen Ardern, is so that everyone can feel “confident” once again among their fellow man. That makes absolutely zero sense, especially as new studies show no discernible decrease in infection rates among the vaccinated. So why hedge our bets when just the opposite seems to be happening?

In a recent study by Harvard researchers, published in the European Journal of Epidemiology, it was discovered that, looking at statistics around the world, “there appears to be no discernable relationship between percentage of population fully vaccinated and new COVID-19 cases…” The researchers then delivered a brutal body slam to conventional (political) thinking by revealing that “the trend line suggests a marginally positive association such that countries with higher percentage of population fully vaccinated have HIGHER (emphasis added) COVID-19 cases per 1 million people.”

That is a truly shocking discovery, and one that deserves a serious public debate now that a mandatory vaccination regime – replete with the loss of jobs and lives – is being bolted down across much of the globe. But instead of addressing the health crisis with a modicum of restraint and humility, many politicians are gleefully capitalizing on the pandemic, using it as an opportunity to accumulate ever greater political power. This disturbing trend is happening across much of the Western hemisphere where, in what must be one of the greatest coincidences of modern times, a coterie of like-minded liberal leaders hold the destiny of mankind in their very hands. This cannot be considered a good thing by any stretch of the imagination. Although these individuals may owe no special favors to the pharmaceutical industry, their collective actions – denying the unvaccinated the same inherent rights to liberty and freedom as other citizens, including the corporate variety – do not support such a premise.

So how to explain this unprecedented power grab happening around the world? Best to examine the unmatched power of the media that promotes the message of Covid authoritarians, like Jacinda Ardern, and their unflinching devotion to a fragmented apartheid state. All in the name of health, of course.

Political commentator Chantelle Baker told Sky News Australia that Ardern enjoys practically “full control” of the narrative in New Zealand because the government has paid “hundreds of millions” to the media. Now, in return, the citizens are stuck with compromised journalists who will “only push for promotion of Jacinda and…her ideological ideas.”

Around the globe, in another power-grabbing liberal hotspot, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also enjoys no small amount of mainstream media support. In its 2019 budget, the federal government lavished select media outlets to the tune of $600 million in subsidies, the overwhelming bulk of the largesse going to left-leaning publications, of course.

“Trudeau’s media bailout will not save the newspaper business,” warned Derek Fildebrandt, publisher of the Western Standard, one of the last free and independent media voices in Canada. “It will put it in a complacent, comatose state on life support, fearful that if it acts against its master, that the plug could be pulled at any time.”

South of the border, in the United States of Submission, the liberal-dominated media is almost 100 percent aligned behind Joe Biden and his mandatory vaccine regime. The media whitewashing of the subject comes even as several states, including Texas, Florida and Arizona have drawn a line in the sand, allowing their citizens loopholes from which to escape the wildly draconian, ‘vaccinate-or-vacate’ your job stance.

Returning to the Pacific basin, in Australia, where new cases of Covid have decreased to a trickle, Victoria Premier Daniel Andrews is snorting heavily from the absolute power stash, attempting to ram home a bill that would empower him to pronounce, like any degenerate Caesar, any and all future pandemics and the necessary emergency provisions.

In a delightful document entitled the Roadmap – which comes off a bit like a Mad Max sequel – Andrews, who apparently moonlights as a PhD when he’s not pretending to be a leader, postulates that “there will come a time when Victorians who choose not to get vaccinated will be left behind…” as Australians begin “transitioning to a ‘vaccinated economy’ in this state, and ensure we have the right systems in place.”

Those are some truly disturbing words, and ones that few people would expect to be tossed around blithely by a western leader in the 21st century. In fact, they fly in the face of democratic theory to the point where the question of abuse of powers cannot be discounted. I suspect this is the real reason why the ‘progressive’ radicals now working overtime in the U.S. to fracture societies around the planet are the same people who wish to eliminate Thomas Jefferson from the annals of American history, starting with stone depictions of his existence.

Jefferson, in the second paragraph of the Declaration of Independence, which he authored, famously states: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

Across the so-called Five Eyes alliance, comprised of the U.S., UK, Australia, Canada and New Zealand, a homegrown tyranny based on a creeping medical apartheid is threatening the “life, liberty and pursuit of Happiness” worse than all of history’s former tyrants combined. Covid-19 did not create the unbearable conditions for which millions of people from Auckland to Alaska are now suffering; what created our current crisis is the reckless response to Covid-19, which increasingly appears to be based not on medical science, but rather raw political opportunism. This tragic state of affairs, justified by a disease with a better than 99 percent survival rate, cannot continue indefinitely. In fact, it needs to end immediately.

The US Supreme Court on Friday rejected a challenge from a group of Maine health care workers seeking to block a vaccine mandate based on religious grounds.

Recall, Democrat Governor Janet Mills in August announced that healthcare workers in Maine must be fully vaccinated by October 29.

The Liberty Counsel filed a lawsuit on behalf of approximately 2,000 healthcare workers in August.

One thing to note, this was not a decision on the merits, it was a decision to deny an emergency injunction. Barrett and Kavanaugh voted no on that point alone, not on the main case. My guess is the liberal judges would vote no on the merits of the case as well if it ever got to the Supreme Court. We have the 3 conservative judges who dissented and said they would've granted the injunction, so they'd probably vote in favor of plaintiffs if the case reaches the Supreme Court. That leaves Kavanaugh and Barrett. They could swing back in the right direction if this is heard on the merits so let's hope the plaintiffs continue to pursue this.

Court turns away religious challenge to Maine’s vaccine mandate for health care workers

The Supreme Court on Friday allowed a vaccine mandate for Maine health care workers to remain in effect, rejecting an emergency request from workers who argued that they should receive religious exemptions.

The brief order was a rare instance of the court deferring to a state COVID-19 policy in the face of religious-rights claims, and the decision split the court’s conservatives. The three most conservative justices — Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito, and Neil Gorsuch — argued in dissent that Maine’s mandate unconstitutionally discriminates against health care workers with religious objections to the coronavirus vaccines. Two other conservatives — Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett — agreed with the decision not to intervene, saying the court’s emergency docket is not the right place to resolve the merits of the workers’ claims.

On Aug. 12, Maine health officials added COVID-19 to a longstanding list of diseases against which health care workers must be vaccinated. The mandate exempts people for whom a vaccine would be “medically inadvisable,” but it does not allow exemptions for people with religious objections to a vaccine. Officials pledged to begin enforcing the COVID-19 vaccine mandate on Oct. 29.

A small group of health care workers sued, arguing that they are entitled to religious exemptions under the First Amendment’s free exercise clause and federal employment law. Two lower courts ruled against them, prompting the workers to seek emergency relief at the Supreme Court last week. They asked the justices to issue an order preventing the state from enforcing the mandate without religious exemptions.

The court’s single-sentence order declining to intervene did not explain the majority’s reasoning. But Barrett wrote a short concurrence, joined by Kavanaugh, pointing out that the emergency posture of the case meant that the court had not received full briefing or heard oral argument. Those limitations, Barrett wrote, weigh against granting the “extraordinary relief” that the workers were requesting.

Gorsuch, joined by Thomas and Alio, wrote an eight-page dissent in which he argued that Maine’s mandate has forced the health care workers to choose between following their religious convictions or losing their jobs. Refusing to grant religious exemptions, he wrote, “borders on the irrational.”

The court has turned away other emergency challenges to COVID vaccine mandates recently. In August, Barrett rejected a challenge to Indiana University’s mandate, and earlier this month, Justice Sonia Sotomayor rejected a challenge to New York City’s mandate for public-school employees. But the Maine case was the first vaccine challenge involving claims of religious liberty.

In other COVID contexts, particularly social-distancing policies, the court has repeatedly held that state and local governments must provide exemptions for worshippers if the policies allow for non-religious exemptions.

Dan Bongino Ends Radio Program In Vaccine Mandate Battle With Employer

Conservative radio host Dan Bongino announced his daily show will only air replays while he deals with a COVID-19 vaccine mandate with his show’s parent company Cumulus Media.

Bongino shared the news during his Wednesday online podcast.
They didn’t consult with us content providers. I strongly object to the mandate,” Bongino said.

The fight with them is having a real impact. Behind the scenes, it’s getting a little ugly here. I wasn’t on the radio today. I don’t know what they did, played the ‘best of’ or whatever. You don’t treat people this way. You don’t let people go because they insist their body is theirs,” he added.
During Wednesday’s podcast, Bongino also urged listeners to join the Locals platform. Video platforms Rumble and Locals merged on Tuesday after Rumble recently acquired the tech company.

“It is unfortunately an ugly fight. I wish it weren’t,” Bongino said as he reviewed the controversy with Cumulus during his Wednesday episode.

“Some of the people who were fired by Cumulus whose stories are piling in, they are really disturbing. I hear you … I read one of the emails yesterday and I’m going to get to more of them as time goes on.”

Though Bongino is personally fully vaccinated against COVID-19, he opposes the company’s vaccine mandate.

The former New York police officer and Secret Service agent’s message first pushed back on the media group’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate requirement last week.

You can have me or you can have the [vaccine] mandate. But you can’t have both of us,” Bongino said during his nationwide radio program on Oct. 18.

Cumulus Media announced a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for employees on Aug. 12.

CEO Mary Berner stated in a message to employees that they needed to be fully vaccinated by Sept. 27—two weeks prior to the scheduled return date.

The statement included various exceptions to the mandate. Cumulus Media says its workforce includes approximately 4,000 people and runs more than 400 stations in 80 markets.

South Dakota Gov. Noem Signs Order To 'Protect' State Employees From Biden's Vaccine Mandate

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem signed an executive order this week to “protect” state employees against President Joe Biden’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate by allowing them to easily obtain medical and religious exemptions.
“South Dakota is fighting back against the heavy hand of @JoeBiden & his Administration,” the Republican governor announced on Twitter.
“Today I signed an Executive Order to protect state employees, & those w/ federal contracts who are being forced to get vaccinated against their wishes. The order protects medical & religious exemptions for these workers.”
“Additionally, I am working w/ legislators on addressing other areas. I have always said the decision to get vaccinated should be a personal choice-not a mandate from Joe Biden, Fauci or your boss,” she added.
Noem said the move was necessary to ensure that employees aren’t forced to get COVID-19 vaccinations under Biden’s initiative, which covers not only people directly paid by federal contracts but also anyone who works to support them.

State lawmakers have said South Dakotans are being denied medical and religious exemptions from feds and have called for a special session to stop it.

Noem spokesman Jordan Overturf said Noem’s exemptions are “explicit and offer a clear path” for state workers to opt-out of the shots.

In a press release from Noem’s office, the governor said that employees who wish to receive a medical exemption from the vaccine mandate need a note from a doctor stating that the COVID-19 vaccination is too risky for health reasons.

Workers who wish to be exempted for religious reasons must fill out a form from the Bureau of Human Resources that states that they “dissent and object to receiving a COVID-19 vaccine on religious grounds, which includes moral, ethical, and philosophical beliefs or principles.”

“Due to established precedent, this Executive Order does not apply to service members with the South Dakota National Guard who must meet federal readiness responsibilities for deployment,” the release adds.

It also states that Noem will work during next year’s legislative session with South Dakota lawmakers to make these “protections” for state employees permanent, and “to extend similar health and religious liberty protections” to employees of private businesses who adopted mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policies.

The governor earlier criticized proposals by Republican lawmakers to ban vaccine mandates as “not conservative” because they’re telling businesses what to do and how to treat their employees. This order, spokesman Overturf said, is about upholding rights already included in the Constitution.

“She has repeatedly said private businesses should offer medical and religious exemptions for COVID vaccine mandates,” Overturf said.

Noem earlier said on Twitter that the state will “l stand up to defend freedom,” referring to the president’s vaccine mandates.

FTC Sues Xlear, Inc. for Falsely Claiming Its Nasal Sprays Can Prevent and Treat COVID-19
Agency seeks monetary penalties from Xlear, Inc. under COVID-19 authority

October 29, 2021 - The Federal Trade Commission sued Xlear, Inc., a Utah-based company, for violating the COVID-19 Consumer Protection Act, alleging that it falsely pitched its saline nasal sprays as an effective way to prevent and treat COVID-19.

In its lawsuit against Xlear, Inc. and its owner, the FTC is asking a federal court to impose monetary penalties on the defendants and bar them from continuing to make such false and unsupported claims. The complaint was filed by the Department of Justice on the FTC’s behalf.

“Companies can’t make unsupported health claims, no matter what form a product takes or what it supposedly prevents or treats,” said Samuel Levine, Director of the FTC’s Bureau of Consumer Protection. “That’s the lesson of this case and many others like it, and it’s why people should continue to rely on medical professionals over ads.”

Xlear, Inc. sells products including nasal sprays, dental care products, and sweeteners. The company’s nasal sprays marketed under the Xlear Sinus Care brand contain, among other things, xylitol and grapefruit seed extract. Xlear sells these sprays on Amazon.com and through retailers like Rite-Aid, CVS, Walgreens, and Target.

According to the complaint, since at least March 2020, Xlear and its founder and president, Nathan Jones, have promoted Xlear nasal sprays by falsely claiming they provide four hours of protection against infection from the coronavirus and therefore are “a simple, safe, and cheap option that could be an effective solution to the pandemic.” The defendants have made these and similar allegedly false and unsubstantiated claims on websites, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, and through appearances on podcasts and sponsored spots on local television news.

In reality, the company has conducted no clinical trials to support its COVID-related claims and its advertising grossly misrepresented the purported findings and relevance of several scientific studies, according to the FTC. The agency’s staff sent Xlear and Jones a warning letter in July 2020. The defendants promised to remove the claims from their website and other platforms, but then continued making them, according to the complaint.

The Commission vote to refer the civil penalty complaint to the DOJ for filing was 4-0-1, with Chair Lina M. Khan not participating. The DOJ filed the complaint in the U.S. District Court for District of Utah.

NOTE: The Commission files a complaint when it has “reason to believe” that the named defendants are violating or are about to violate the law and it appears to the Commission that a proceeding is in the public interest. The case will be decided by the court.

12,000 Air Force Personnel, Including Elite Pilots, Have Rejected Vax Order As Tuesday Deadline Looms

The deadline is looming for US Air Force personnel to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and many thousands are still refusing, according to the latest reports.

For many at this point, it's also too late to receive both jabs by the next Tuesday, Nov. 2 deadline. Other branches like the Navy have deadlines coming later in November, but the Air Force will be the first test case as it set the earliest deadline.

The Washington Post is now at the end of the week reporting that up to 12,000 Air Force personnel are still declining the vaccine, causing alarm within the top chain of command who are worried it will impact force readiness, particularly as some forces in key positions face discharge over their vax refusal. "The fact that it’s a choice leading to potential loss to readiness is striking," a military policy analyst with the Center for a New American Security Katherine L. Kuzminski, told the Post.

Short of full discharge, those refusing the mandate could be charged under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ), based on prior Defense Department statements. Currently some class action lawsuits are said to be underway among troops - including reservists - who argue the mandate violations their individual medical freedom and Constitutional rights.

When it comes to the Air Force especially, there's a risk of losing pilots and technicians - people in elite and highly skilled positions - who have undergone years of prior training at a government and taxpayer cost of millions of dollars.

The Hill summarizes the dilemma facing military top brass as follows:
However, with such a significant amount of service members rejecting the vaccine mandate, officials are faced with a dilemma — take action against those who rejected the mandate and possibly face serious setbacks within units that should be ready for a crisis, or go back on a wide-scale requirement established in August by the top military leaders.
If military leaders back down, it could set a precedent allowing personnel to more readily push back against future mandates - for example if a booster shot is ordered - something the Biden administration has signaled it may be prepared to do.

"The Air Force is the third-largest military service at 324,000 members, the Post noted. So even a small percentage of the ranks can be substantial," The Hill summarizes further of the situation.

The US Navy is of similar size in terms of active duty members. The Navy and other branches are also at risk of seeing a mass exodus. Earlier this month a report in AFP underscored that "If all the services take the same hard line that the navy is taking, it risks losing as many as 46,000 troops, though presumably more will accept vaccinations before the deadline." The Navy's deadline is Nov.28 for all to be in full compliance.
