Document, document, DOCUMENT... EVERYTHING, every conversation, with who, who was in attendance, dates times, locations.....then, when you are ready...either sue or drop it in their laps and punch em in the throats.

Then walk.
I don't think so... I had mentioned to a co-worker that I thought it sucked that we were being given two options. Use up all our vacation time or go to an unsafe work environment. Talked a little about taking this to legal but he thinks it would be bad for continued employment at this time. Can't say I disagree. I am deferring to his view for the moment...

I had to go to Eugene/Springfield for the first time in three weeks. Albertsons parking lot was pretty full, as was Winco, and Walmart, but Costco was relatively quiet. The restaurants were pickup only, and banks were drive up windows only. One of the feed stores in Springfield was out of chicks, but there were some in Walterville. All the stores I was in were well stocked, and the people were polite, and keeping reasonable distance, or were trying to.

While there was a lot of traffic in town, once I got east of Walterville, the road was almost empty. I saw a few logging trucks, and almost as many trucks as cars on 126.

More like "Prince William came to his senses and needs to get away from his wife."
I think you are confused, Prince William is married to Kate and they've been together since college and have several children together (and seem quite happy).

Now William was a helicopter ambulance pilot and even flew a rescue mission over Ireland, it is not a "safe" or "easy" posting - Ireland lost an entire crew near the place where William's team stages a different resue a few weeks before.

At least if something happens to William the crown would pass on to his son George, there is also his daughter and younger son in that line and all of them before Harry.

Social distancing helps a lot. Cuomo said today time required for a doubling of cases in NY is growing. I suspect when they get to testing people for antibodies they will find this has been going around much longer than they thought. We had a surge of people with pneumonia last October and none of them tested positive for the flu. Our granddaughter teaches grade school here and was hospitalized with pneumonia at the time and 4 other teachers in the school had it then too. None of them had a bacterial infection or tested positive for flu.
Anecdotally that makes sense, but I saw somewhere an overlay chart back when the Chinese were claiming we had it first. That chart was for pneumonia like symptoms in hospitals as compared to other years. It didn't indicate it was here earlier.

Some of the seed companies are stating a month shipping lead time.
Johnny’s Select has done me right. Placed a large order last week. Four days later I was spraying the box. They have everything you want. Of special notice are their quick crop green mixes. They also have sprouting materials. Several varieties of single or mixes for fresh eating sprouts. That is all

"What is the quickest way to stop this virus? Science. The science of stopping a virus is "quarantine".
How would it work? When someone gets sick, they get quarantined and their contact list is quarantined."

Unfortunately, while helpful, no, that won't do it, we'd still have asymptomatic, infecting all, walking among us.
What has been needed is to test everybody, then anybody positive, sick or not, is made to go into quarantine.

Failing that, no universal testing, quarantining everybody everywhere is only option to getting ahead of this.

And that won't even work until we get a test that doesn't fail five times before recording the "positive"...

I give up.
If this isn't one of THE dumbest things I've ever read. Well, of course they all got sick. Singers breathe in and out very deeply. People are soooooooooo stupid !!!

  • Coronavirus symptoms: what are they and should you see a doctor?
Updated: 11:44 EDT, 30 March 2020

A chorister super-spreader passed coronavirus to 45 out of 60 people at a singing practice - as medics say the transmission was airborne because they had all been social distancing.

On March 10, 60 members of the Skagit Valley Chorale attended a scheduled practice at Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church in Washington.

When they arrived, the singers were offered hand sanitizer at the door. Members also refrained from the usual hugs and handshakes as they met each other.

The practice lasted two and a half hours and the members of the church then went their separate ways.

Nearly three weeks later, 45 have been diagnosed with COVID-19 or are ill with the symptoms, at least three have been hospitalized, and two are dead.

So far experts have warned that social-distancing is not a 100 per cent guarantee that you will not catch the infection.

The cases have shocked health officials, who have concluded that the virus was almost certainly transmitted through the air from one or more people without symptoms.

In interviews with the Los Angeles Times, eight people who were at the rehearsal said that nobody there was coughing or sneezing or appeared to be ill.

When the virus started spreading in Washington state in early March, leaders of the Skagit Valley Chorale debated whether to go ahead with weekly rehearsal.

On March 6, Adam Burdick, the choir's conductor, informed the 121 members in an email that amid the 'stress and strain of concerns about the virus,' practice would proceed as scheduled.

Members of the choir have said that everybody came with their own sheet music and avoided direct physical contact.

Some members helped set up or remove folding chairs and a few helped themselves to mandarins that had been put out on a table in the back.

According to the publication, experts said the choir outbreak is consistent with a growing body of evidence that the virus can be transmitted through aerosols, where particles can float in the air for minutes or longer.

The World Health Organisation has downplayed this as a possible way of transferring the deadly virus.

They say the bug is passed on through 'respiratory droplets' in the air - for example when someone coughs or sneezes near you, or the droplets land on a surface.

A recent study in the New England Journal of Medicine found that when the virus was suspended in a mist under laboratory conditions it remained infectious for three hours.

One of the experts that worked on the study said it's possible that the 'forceful breathing action of singing' dispersed particles containing the virus around the room during the rehearsal.

He added that the outbreak would be considered a super-spreading event.

Carolynn Comstock and her husband, Jim Owen went to the choir practice with their friends Ruth and Mark Backlund.

They both took the hand sanitizer at the door and took their seats for the rehearsal. Three days later all four of them had symptoms of coronavirus including a fever, cough and loss of taste and smell.

Later that week tests confirmed they had the virus and on March 17, a choir member alerted Skagit County Public Health about the outbreak.

Health workers then contacted other members of the choir group to tell them to self-isolate if they felt unwell.

Nancy Hamilton, an 83-year-old soprano in the group died in hospital on March 21. Another woman in her 80s also passed away.

Health officials said all 28 choir members who were tested for COVID-19 were found to be infected. The other 17 with symptoms never got tested, either because tests were not available or they didn't consider themselves sick enough to be eligible.

Inside information, SIX of the infections in Marion County drove Cherriots bus. No driver keeps a set route forever, they rotate, and most have been floating daily as drivers get sick. Imagine the potential for aerosol on the city bus.

Fighting The Coronavirus: Good Learnings From Germany

READ our new report asking "What will happen if you die of the coronavirus?": https://www.peakprosperity.com/if-you...

As we reported yesterday, with the world sharing its data, we are starting to get a better handle on understanding the coronavirus. This real-time exchange of data and insights going on across the globe right now is invaluable to global efforts to fight the spread of covid-19 more effectively.

Germany has recently contributed two important pieces to the puzzle. First, it has been conducting *many* more tests per capita than other countries (500,000/week). Due to this, they have a better picture of the true # of infected people.

Their recent data suggests that the real Case Fatality Rate (CFR) for covid-19 is closer to 0.4% -- substantially lower than the rates calculated for most other countries, who don't test as aggressively.

A 0.4% CFR is still concerning, but is substantially better than the previous 2-3% estimates from just a few weeks back.

Second, because it tests so many people, Germany is swiftly building a database of people who recover and therefore have anti-bodies against the virus. It plans to fast-track these folks' return to work, so that they can get the economy recovering faster without fear of infecting others.

In this way, valuable insights lead to more effective policies -- just like the Czech Republic has done with the #Masks4All movement. As we get smarter, we get stronger.

This, folks, is how we'll beat covid-19.

Good Lord please have mercy.

He had mercy for 2000 years.

We paid respects by killing babies, engaging in pedophilia, pushing 5 year olds to be transgender, teaching sexual perversion in schools, taking kids to gay pride parades or to the libraries to have transexuals normalize it with "story time", etc.

Now He comes in judgment.

Very little doubt in my mind that this virus will lead to rioting and looting in the streets of America. The police and fire/rescue are getting sick in droves. The criminal element will use the depletion of manpower to their advantage. Crime will skyrocket. Once chaos becomes the norm in America and western europe, wars will begin. The economy won't be coming back in any way we recognize. Inflation has to happen at this point and probably another great depression.

Someone will try to gain authority and bring a measure of peace and order to the world.

This virus has all the earmarks of bringing the prophecies of Revelation right to us in very rapid succession. I always had trouble trying to figure out how the world could collapse so fast in just a few short years as described by John. COVID-19 makes it crystal clear.

Hope I'm wrong but if not, get your Bible out, rely on Him and His will be done. The silver lining? Maybe... Just, maybe, you will get to see His return.

WARNING – Math follows!

I was thinking about R0 and how imprecise it is. True infectiousness probably follows a Gaussian Curve as a first approximation and if social distancing can cut the middle part of the curve out it should help a lot. For those that are more ill, the center of the curve is when they would seek health care so hospitals may become an even larger vector in the days to come. Perhaps a more advanced civilization with robotic medicine and care and fast testing could eliminate pandemics completely.

From R0 you get a geometric series which yields an exponential divided by a constant so not R0^n
but ((R0^(n+1)) – 1)/(R0 – 1) .

For R0=3 ___ 1, 3, 9, 27, 81 for periods 0,1,2,3,4 or (3^5-1)/(3-1)= 242/2=121 total cases.
R0=2 ______ 1, 2, 4, 8, 16 _________________ or (2^5-1)/(2-1)=31/1=31 or almost 2^5
R0=2 is essentially an pure exponential and usually an R0 of 2 is given as an example, clouding the true form.

A detailed analysis would probably break the infectious period into many segments, each segment giving rise to a Fibonacci like Sequence from which you could generalize to a rather messy and complicated set of Differential Equations. That would be a lot of work. Just some random thoughts from a non-statistician for those interested.

LOVE THIS!! At President Trump's Coronavirus presser today, spoken at the podium by Mike Lindell, of My Pillow:

"God gave us grace on November 8, 2016 to change the course we were on. God had been taken out of our schools and lives, a nation had turned its back on God. And I encourage you to use this time at home to get back in the Word, read our Bibles, and spend time with our families. Our president gave us hope, where just a few short months ago we had the best economy, the lowest unemployment, wages going up, it was amazing. With our great President, Vice President, this administration, and all the great people of this country praying daily, we will get through this and get back to a place that's stronger and safer than ever."

"Wow. China had only 3500 deaths . . . they must have done everything super duper perfectly
factor of 10X is 35000 which would still be super perfectly.
350,000 would mean they did thing absolutely perfect;y because they have 5 times the population
three million five hundred thousand would still be in the realm of having done things perfectly.
21 million would probably be closer to the truth"

But nearly all their cases were in Hubei province which has a population of about 60 million. Our population is almost 6 times the population of Hubei.

My apologies if it's already been posted here earlier, but I am told...

There is an intriguing opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal (March 29, 2020) by
Dr. Jeff Colyer (governor of Kansas between 2018-2019).

He describes an observation from China in which he states that none of the Wuhan
hospital’s lupus patients (who were presumably taking hydroxychloroquine for years)
were positive for the coronavirus. Not definitive science…but an intriguing data point.

R0 is the combination of virus attributes and the environment it's in. R0 is different depending on how people interact. If you don't start with that understanding, you won't grasp what R0 means at all.
Yes. An agent based computer simulation of persons and environment would generate a better model as it would take all those factors into account.

Italy figured out a great way of making their numbers go down.

#1 Only test people who go to the hospital. Anyone who dies as home or in a nursing home isn't counted.

#2 Announce that anyone over 60 will only get palliative care in a hospital. Which keeps sick old people at home. I

Most European countries seem to be doing the same. No ambulance pickups available for life threatening symptoms. No one wants to admit just how bad it is.

Saving face is everything...

We are not going back to what was, we are moving ever forward towards what is to be.

Do not hold on to what was, embrace what is, and work diligently and with humility to survive and thrive in what is coming.

The DW went to the little town that is 17 miles away to the pharmacy to pickup meds from scrips issued by the local PA at the local clinic that is no longer doing walk-ins. The pharmacy was only letting in four people in at a time if they were wearing gloves and masks if they were not sick for then they provided curb side service. The local grocery store was only allowing ten people at a time in and if they were wearing gloves and masks.

All of the pharmacy and grocery store employees were wearing gloves and masks.

Neither business was busy.

The sheep are awake and are afraid.

God help us with this virus.

...at the very least the administrators that made decisions based on money and bonuses should be forced onto the floor with the doctors with the exact same personal protection as the doctors and nurses, with the understanding that during any medical emergency they would be required to be there. Once their lives were suddenly part of the equation I do believe they would cut a few less corners.

I believe that this should apply to ALL SENATORS and REPRESENTATIVES as well. If they relied on the very same medical and retirement that us commoners retire on, bet they would take better care of medicare and social security!

I saw a report from China where One infected person on a long distance bus infected everybody on it. The six foot rule is pointless in a sealed environment with doors opening and CIRCULATING THE AIR. FURTHER it was seen the droplets went 14 feet from front to back of the bus. If all six were infected, worked multiple different shifts, different days etc you could end up with dozens, hundreds of cases maybe thousands when you add the other people who came in contact.
