Joint Chiefs Demand Military Personnel Violate Enlistment Oath

Joint Chiefs Demand Military Personnel Violate Enlistment Oath

by NOQ REPORT
June 25, 2021

The Oath of Enlistment for the United States Armed Forces:

“I (Enlistee Name) do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to the regulations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.”

Article by Chris Adamo from NOQ Report.

By these words, American Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen have for many years pledged themselves, mind and body, in selfless service to our Nation. This is a commitment that has cost enormous sacrifice, including on too many heroic occasions, their very lives. It was by such an oath, in slightly varied forms over the centuries, that Americans froze and died at Valley Forge, marched into the brutality of the cannons at Gettysburg, charged the beaches of Normandy amid German machine gun fire, braved the horrors of Southeast Asia, and gave their all in the blazing heat of Middle-Eastern deserts to confront and overcome America’s islamist enemies.

What must be clearly understood about this oath is that the ultimate pledge is not to any person or cabal, but to the Constitution of the United States of America. It is not a vow of blind allegiance, negating any other law or premise of right and wrong, mindlessly doing the bidding of whoever claims to be in power.

First and foremost, American military personnel are swearing to never willingly engage in any activity that would do harm to the Country they serve. Yet on an ever increasing basis, that is what is being demanded of those who take the oath, at the hands of the Biden cabal and its minions among the self-serving “political” class of military leaders in the Pentagon.

The question of whether or not the Biden cabal actually represents a legitimate presidential administration, as mentioned in the oath, is of course a worthy one, especially given ol’ Joe’s latest not-so-veiled threat to deploy F-15 fighter aircraft against American civilians. Still, it is a topic for another day. However, the effort to purge military ranks of all but those who ascribe to leftist ideology, and profess total fealty to it, begs the question of just what will be the actual role and purpose of the US Military, going forward. The latest news of top US Generals embracing the venom and lunacy of “Critical Race Theory” should sound alarms across America.

Who knows where the insanity originated that is now coursing through the highest echelons of the US Military? But it is clear that its only result will be to render the American military forces far less effective, to the point of being wholly incapacitated, if they ever have to fight a major foreign enemy, like China perhaps. Meanwhile, if the rank and file of the military follow this course, they will become much more dangerous… to the American people!

Recent comments from General Mark Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, demonstrate his willingness to support the venom of leftist ideology, and particularly its anti-white bigotry, under the same guise of “Critical Race Theory.”

Among the troops, this would be a disaster, destroying camaraderie and creating dangerous factions. On a local scale, this twisted ideology has decent and honorable citizens of every ethnicity loudly and angrily protesting school boards who attempt to corrupt innocent children with leftist social indoctrination.

Here’s a little insight for General Milley, and any of the other Joint Chiefs who align with him. “Critical Race Theory” is the ultimate wolf in sheep’s clothing. It is not about promoting equality among all the differing ethnicities who comprise “We the People.”

It is about presuming total guilt among one race, white Americans, and invoking that as justification for every form of unfettered bigotry and racial discord from leftist blacks and other minorities who are willing to take the bait. Its impact will undoubtedly be to aggravate tensions and resentment among all races. Such upheavals within military ranks are untenable and will only undermine morale, gravely diminishing military capabilities.

Facing criticism over his willingness to allow this latest leftist poison to insidiously invade and pervert the purpose and operation of the United States Military, General Milley embarrassingly responded “I personally find it offensive that we are accusing the United States Military, our general officers, our noncommissioned officers, of being quote ‘woke’.”

So now, General Milley, ostensibly the most powerful warrior of the most powerful military force in the world, has sunk to the whiny leftist tactic of claiming to be “offended.” Is he revealing his “inner snowflake” for all to see? Moreover, Milley clearly has no problem accusing all those military ranks of being inherently racist (at least the white ones), and needing the poison of “Critical Race Theory” to get their minds right.

If Milley cannot grasp why such precepts are the catalyst of discord and mayhem, not only in the military but all across America, then he is clueless of the most basic tenets of what will build or destroy a nation, and as such proves himself to be incompetent in the fundamentals of enemy strategies. Or worse, perhaps he does fully understand those concepts, and has actually chosen to join forces with the enemies of America, both foreign and domestic.

"Defund The Police" Movement 'Coincided' With Biggest Surge In US Violence Since The '60s, FBI Data Confirms

THURSDAY, JUN 24, 2021 - 10:25 PM
Based on preliminary FBI data, America experienced one of its most murderous years in decades. Of course, let's not forget this all happened during a socio-economic collapse thanks to the virus pandemic and resulting public officials who closed the economy, leaving tens of millions of people struggling to put food on the table. At the same time, millions of others raced to their local gun store to purchase guns and ammo as liberal-run cities were transformed into a violent mess.

Vox reports US' murder rate likely increased by 25% or more in 2020, but official FBI data won't be published until later this year. The numbers are likely to be historic. "That amounts to more than 20,000 murders in a year for the first time since 1995, up from about 16,000 in 2019," according to crime analyst Jeff Asher.

John Roman, a criminal justice expert at NORC at the University of Chicago, told Vox that the 2020 murder surge "is the largest increase in violence we've seen since the 1960s when we started collecting formal crime statistics."

Many experts, or at least the ones Vox sourced or interviewed, "still don't know why murders surged last year."

For starters, perhaps liberal-run cities defunding the police and deciding not to prosecute petty crime could be some of the triggers for the increased violent crime.

After all, Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison this week blamed the surge in violent crime on a "number of issues," including a shortage in staff. This comes after Baltimore City Council defunded the police last year. The new mayor, Brandon Scott, reversed the policy and increased the city's policing budget this year to get a handle on crime.

Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva has also spoken up and blamed "defund the police" and progressive policies for the spike in crime across Los Angeles County.

Oregon's largest newspaper, The Oregonian, admitted not too long ago that their previous endorsement of defunding was the wrong decision as crime surged across Portland.

We could go on and on about linking defunding the police to surging violent crime, but we'll stop it at that.

Until law and order are restored, something former President Trump used to say daily, chaos will continue across major metro areas, and 2021 could become an even more violent year than last.

Cruz: Big Tech's 'accumulation of power' is 'greatest threat to free speech and democracy'

The Texas Republican called for "much more serious action to protect our liberties" from Big Tech censorship, which he said is "right out of George Orwell's '1984.'"

Updated: June 25, 2021 - 10:59pm

Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz told Just the News that Big Tech's "accumulation of power" is the "greatest threat to free speech and democracy" in the U.S.

Cruz was asked if he thinks the antitrust legislative efforts in Congress related to breaking up Big Tech do enough to address the issue of censorship.

"I haven't examined the specifics of the House bill, but I'm glad to see just about any action against the abuse of power from Big Tech," Cruz said on Thursday. "I think the accumulation of power by a handful of billionaires in Silicon Valley is profoundly dangerous. I think it's the greatest threat to free speech and democracy that we have in this country and I think we need much more serious action to protect our liberties."

Cruz said he would like to see anti-censorship provisions in any antitrust bill that the Senate passes.

"Their behavior is more and more brazen, and they are silencing views with which they disagree," he said. "Look, Big Tech, it was shown, not only have they banned the former president of the United States because they've deemed his politics inconsistent with their own, but for the last year, they've been censoring all sorts of speech, including, for example, speech laying out the evidence that COVID-19 escaped from a Chinese lab in Wuhan.

"I think the preponderance of the evidence has long supported that. I did two podcasts back in March and April of last year laying out that evidence, and yet Big Tech censored it, and now suddenly the evidence is coming out and magically, you know, it's right out of George Orwell's 1984. We're at war with Eurasia. We've always been at war with Eurasia. Whatever the momentary orthodox wisdom is they'll silence anyone who dares to disagree. I think that's really dangerous."

Judge stops feds from seizing safe deposit boxes in $85M raid, citing due process rights

Temporary restraining order only applies to handful of customers, but "reasoning" affects hundreds more, lawyer says.

By Greg Piper
Updated: June 25, 2021 - 11:00pm

Afederal judge scolded the feds for their "woefully" vague seizure notices to customers of U.S. Private Vaults (USPV), saying the planned forfeitures of safe deposit boxes likely violate customers' constitutional due process rights.

U.S. District Judge R. Gary Klausner issued a temporary restraining order (TRO) preventing the feds from initiating civil forfeiture against four individuals who sought return of their valuables until prosecutors provide the "specific factual and legal basis" for the action.

He gave the government until Tuesday to explain why the judge should not issue a preliminary injunction, which would halt planned forfeitures until the merits of the case were decided — a process that could take months.

It's a black eye for the feds, who claimed USPV intentionally lured criminal activity and that its customers were an undifferentiated mass of drug dealers and money launderers. The government did not charge any customers with crimes, however, as it seized their belongings.

The Institute for Justice (IJ) is representing the four plaintiffs — married couple Jeni Verdon-Pearsons and Michael Storc, Joseph Ruiz and Travis May — as well as other USPV customers, some of whom have not identified themselves to the government to challenge the seizures.

The public interest law firm alleged the government is trying to seize $85 million in cash, precious metals, heirlooms and other valuables from customers who have not been accused of wrongdoing as part of the USPV prosecution.

Judge Klausner declined to cover all USPV customers whose boxes were seized without "specific legal and factual basis" in the TRO, limiting the ruling to the four plaintiffs. He also turned down IJ's request to certify a class of customers who have identified themselves to the FBI and whose property remains in federal hands, subject to a "purported" forfeiture proceeding.

Rob Johnson, senior attorney for IJ, said the "reasoning" of the order applies to the hundreds of safe deposit box renters caught in the FBI raid of USPV, regardless of the judge's limitation on the relief.

"If the government presses forward with these forfeitures now, it will be defying the court," he said in a press release demanding the FBI and U.S. attorney for Los Angeles "bring these sham forfeiture proceedings to a close."

Attorney Benjamin Gluck, who is representing other USPV customers, told the Los Angeles Times the import of the ruling was that the government would have to "try to prove a real case for forfeiture" against everyone whose boxes it seized and refuses to return. He's skeptical that it can.

A spokesperson for the U.S. attorney did not respond to a request for comment from Just the News.

IJ's lawsuit and others against the feds allege that the FBI exceeded the scope of the warrant, rifling through safe deposit boxes and taking photos of the contents instead of looking for contact information on the box for each renter and notifying them to claim their items. At least one lawsuit provided video evidence of agents exceeding the warrant's restrictions.

This is the "most outrageous Fourth Amendment abuse that the Institute for Justice has ever seen," IJ attorney Robert Frommer said when it announced the case in May.

Judge Klausner's order was rushed to meet the deadlines the FBI gave some customers to file claims for return of their property before the government initiated forfeiture proceedings. One of the four plaintiffs, Ruiz, has not received an FBI notice, but the agency disclosed the planned seizures in detail to USPV's lawyers.

He agreed the FBI notices likely violated the customers' Fifth Amendment rights by providing "no factual basis" to seize their property, simply telling them where and when it was seized.

The feds justified the seizure by citing "thirty-five sections of the United States Code," including those covering forgery, counterfeiting, smuggling, loan fraud and bank fraud. This falls "woefully short" of the requisite "specific statutory provision" required to seize, Klausner wrote.

The government claimed it wasn't required to give specific factual and legal bases for the seizures because of the "procedural posture" of the case, and said the plaintiffs hadn't shown "irreparable injury" from the planned forfeitures.

Rejecting both arguments, the judge found that deprivation of due process rights "inexorably" causes irreparable injury under controlling precedent from the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

The FBI told the court before Klausner's order that it designated property from about 250 boxes for return to their owners, among the 800 or so boxes seized in the raid, the Times reported. It has also terminated forfeiture proceedings against an unspecified number of boxes among 369 flagged for confiscation "after evaluating their owners' explanations."

Mark my words: Juneteenth will replace July 4th
Exclusive: Brent Smith says new holiday isn't about slavery but a step toward dismantling America

Brent Smith
By Brent Smith
Published June 25, 2021 at 7:18pm

So, Juneteenth, or June 19th, is now an official national holiday. It's a holiday to commemorate the end of slavery in America.

What's the big deal? It should be celebrated – right? After all, it's been celebrated in the state of Texas since 1980, some 41 years ago. It even has its own distinct flag, which was created in 1997 – bearing little resemblance to the Texas flag and none to the American flag.

But why the big push now, to make Juneteenth a national holiday? The idea and means of ending slavery began with the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, in 1776 and 1791, respectively. And finally, on April 9, 1865, it came to be as Robert E. Lee surrendered to Ulysses S Grant at Appomattox.

So again – why now?

Well, because it's not really about celebrating the end of slavery in America, but what the last few years have been about and not been about.

It's not about equity or equality for blacks. It is about the Marxist BLM agenda. It's about destroying the underpinnings of America itself. It's about eliminating all the traditions that made/make America great and the American culture unique. It's the Marxist playbook being played out right before our eyes. But instead of the Bourgeoisie vs. the Proletariat, it's race against race.

It's about Critical Race Theory. It's about dividing us by race. It's about diluting everything that's traditional in America – the nuclear family (or "nuculer," if you're George W. Bush), prayer in school, the Pledge of Allegiance, a mom and a dad, marriage between a man and woman, capitalism, pride and reverence for our country and the American flag. Oh, and of course it's about purging the nation of "whiteness."

If it's white, perceived to be white, or even falsely characterized by any person of color to be of white origin, it must go.

And apparently, nothing says whiteness like the Fourth of July, America's Independence Day.

We know, thanks to the black separatist pastor, Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II (and many others), that, "This Fourth of July is yours, not mine," meaning only for whitey, but not for people of color and immigrants.

Black activists decry the Fourth of July as, "Not my day of Independence." Radical feminists also chime in with a similar sentiment, that July 4 was a declaration of independence for white males only. Women had no stake in the nation, as they had no right to vote in any elections. They were considered second-class citizens.
Luckily for America, and by sheer coincidence, Juneteenth came along just in time.

And this leads me to a question.

Does anyone actually think this will end here? Like the Israeli/Palestinian conflict will never end until there is an end to Israel itself, nothing will placate the leftist radicals until there is no more America. At least not the America we know.

Anyone who has studied, or even paid attention to the radical left, the fascists, the Marxists, has to understand what their ultimate goal is and always will be.

They want to dismantle and entirely reshape America. To do this they must first dismantle all American traditions. And it's easiest these days to vilify all traditions as benefiting only "whiteness," making it easier to expunge them.

If this were as innocent as just granting this day to mark the end of slavery in America, I'd be all for it. But it isn't. It's never that simple or innocent.

This is a plan to eventually replace the official American day of independence, July 4, with Juneteenth. It may take a while, but that's the plan.

Mark my words.

162 Minnesota School Principals Pledged to ‘Decenter Whiteness’

June 26, 2021 Hayley Tschetter
student_840x480.jpg

162 Minnesota school principals have joined in an effort to decenter Whiteness, called Good (Trouble) Principals. Their website reads that the principals who commit to causing Good (Trouble) will work towards decentering witness by, “Understanding that traditional organized Whiteness ensures domination through forms like PTAs and Unions. We purposefully call out and lift up historically non-represented voices of color in our spaces to hold weight and power.”

They say that the involved principals can also get in Good (Trouble) by “Dismantling practices that reinforce White academic superiority like bias in testing and the labeling, tracking and clustering that reflect an Americanized version of a caste system in our schools.”

This comes after several Minnesota principals have publicly announced their focus on “Whiteness.” As reported by Alpha News, the Hopkins Public School superintendent said in a 2020 back-to-school video that, “In our communications to staff and families, we have referenced a dual pandemic. Mr. George Floyd – rest in power – is seemingly the contemporary face of the pandemic of racial injustice. This pandemic of systemic racism has soiled this country, not just since slavery, but since the genocide of the Native Americans and the American Indians who resided on and cared for this land.”

The superintendent also remarked on Hopkins’ efforts to become an anti-racist school. She said, “Researchers who have studied what it means to be anti-racist explain that it is not the responsibility of people of color to fix racism, or to explain to White people how not to be racist. Rather, anti-racism requires an understanding of history and an understanding of how people of color have been historically and systematically impacted by racist institutional policies and human practices.”

Minnesota District 287 also reportedly said in a virtual back-to-school event for their staff that “confronting systems of Whiteness” should be the “norm.”

According to the Center of the American Experiment, this is just “the tip of the iceberg.” They wrote that they have heard of “numerous school employees and teachers that schools’ focus on ‘Whiteness,’ ‘White fragility,’ and ‘racial justice’ is undermining—and limiting—educators’ ability to prioritize academic success.”

Yesterday crazy and senile Joe Biden issued an order mandating race training for every member of the federal government.

Senile Joe and the baffoons on the left keep getting crazier and crazier.

Yesterday the Biden/Obama Administration issued an order mandating all federal employees take race training:

The executive order “establishes an ambitious, whole-of-government initiative that will take a systematic approach to embedding DEIA [diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility] in Federal hiring and employment practices,” according to a White House fact sheet. In practice, it will ensure that federal agencies employ tenets associated with Critical Race Theory (CRT) within their hiring practices and day-to-day activities.

It’s unknown if the training will include stories of Corn Pop or hairy legs. This story is the Democrats’ evidence that Senile Joe Biden is not racist.

Biden Signs Executive Order that Mandates Race Training at Every Level and Lectures on ‘White Privilege’ and ‘Male Privilege’

By Jim Hoft

The US Government has practiced race preference hiring for decades but that’s not enough.

Joe Biden signed an executive order on Friday that mandates training that teaches federal employees that the US is racist and unredeemable. The order also pushes “equity” and urges federal departments to get away from merit in government performance.

This is pure Marxism and promotes hatred and divisiveness.

The Daily Caller reported:
President Joe Biden signed an executive order on Friday that ensures that every part of the federal government will conduct race-conscious diversity training and engage in race-conscious hiring.

1624827131061.png
CRT holds that America is fundamentally racist, yet it teaches people to view every social interaction and person in terms of race. Its adherents pursue “antiracism” through the end of merit, objective truth and the adoption of race-based policies.
The racist bill also preaches on “white privilege” and “male privilege”
Notably, the order requires diversity trainings like the one conducted by Sandia National Laboratories, a government contractor that helps manage nuclear weapons. During a three-day “White Men’s Caucus,” male employees were required to recite “white privilege” and “male privilege” statements, according to leaked documents reported on by Manhattan Institute fellow Christopher Rufo. Trainers at the caucus told the participants that “white supremacists,” “KKK,” “Aryan Nation,” “MAGA hat,” “privileged” and “mass killings” were all associated with “white male culture.”

Outspoken Activist and US Olympic Hammer Thrower Gwen Berry Turns Her Back to US Flag, Pulls T-Shirt Over Face as National Anthem Plays at Trials

By Jim Hoft

Outspoken race activist Gwen Berry took third in the US women’s Olympic hammer throwing trials.

Then she turned her back on the US Flag as the National Anthem played during the medal’s ceremony.

She said it was “a set-up.”

And when the anthem was still playing she pulled her T-shirt up over her head.

Gwen is a race activist known for her protests more than her career as an athlete.

ESPN reported:
For the past week, the national anthem has played one time per evening at the U.S. Olympic track and field trials. On Saturday, the song happened to start while outspoken activist Gwen Berry was standing on the podium after receiving her bronze medal in the hammer throw.

While the music played, Berry placed her left hand on her hip and fidgeted. She took a quarter turn, so she was facing the stands, not the flag. Toward the end, she plucked up her black T-shirt with the words “Activist Athlete” emblazoned on the front, and draped it over her head.
“I feel like it was a setup, and they did it on purpose,” Berry said of the timing of the anthem. “I was pissed, to be honest.”

Berry’s reaction to the “Star-Spangled Banner” was as notable as anything on the track on a blazing-hot Saturday, the second-to-last day at U.S. Olympic trials. With temperatures reaching 101 degrees (38 Celsius) on the field, DeAnna Price won the event with a throw of 263 feet, 6 inches (80.31 meters), which was nearly 7 feet longer than Berry’s throw. Price broke the meet record on four of her six throws, and the last two of those throws also broke the American record.
In 2019 Gwen Berry raised her fist during the National Anthem at Pan Am Games.

Gwen Berry Is a Racist who Insults All of Those Americans Who Went to War to Free the Slaves

By Jim Hoft
Published June 27, 2021 at 2:05pm

In 1865 my great, great grandfather Christian Hoft was discharged from the Union Army following the Civil War to free the slaves.

Christian Hoft was an Iowan farmer from Germany who fought in over a dozen battles as a Yankee soldier.

Today evil leftists want to erase this part of American history.

My family was not rich, did not own slaves, and was not associated with anyone who owned slaves. Yet, my great, great grandfather fought in the Civil War because his government called on him and it was the right thing to do.

1624828581097.png

Today we have Democrats and far-left activists who want to re-write history.
They want to erase the courage of Abraham Lincoln and the greatness of the Emancipation Proclamation.

They want Americans to believe the country is irredeemable and racist to its core.

On Saturday, outspoken activist Gwen Berry took third place at the Olympic Trials in women’s hammer throw.

She then stood on the podium and turned her back on the US flag during the National Anthem and put her T-shirt over her head.

Gwen Berry has a history of activism.

Seven days ago on Juneteenth Gwen Berry wrote this insulting and ignorant statement on her Instagram page.
Gwen Berry: DONT BE FOOLED!!! The Emancipation Proclamation DID NOT free us!! WE FREED OURSELVES!! [They] had no choice but to free us because we killed our slave masters and WON our own FREEDOM. This document wasn’t created out of good will. That’s one of the biggest lies in history that they don’t teach us!!!

We all want equality in our country.

But Gwen is a racist and an idiot.

The task force, which was established after George Floyd’s death, suggested ways to “reimagine the Rotunda” including “dance or performance art in the space that invites dialogue about the ways that the United States has mythologized the founding era.”

The report said there should also be “trigger warnings” in the Rotunda next to the founding documents to “forewarn audiences of content that may cause intense physiological and psychological symptoms.”

“Providing an advisory notice to users gives us an opportunity to mitigate harm and contextualize the records,” the report reads. “It creates a space to share with the public our ultimate goals for reparative description, demonstrate our commitment to the process, and address any barriers that we may face in achieving these goals (i.e., the size and scope of the Catalog and the ever-evolving knowledge we gain regarding what is harmful).”

Fox News reported:
The report was completed in April and released this month but has so far flown under the media radar. The task force claims that structural racism “unequivocally impacts” how National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) employees interact with each other, customers and the historical records themselves.
The task force’s report also calls for a change to language on OurDocuments.gov — a website on American “milestone documents” such as the Constitution and Declaration of Independence — to be less celebratory of historically impactful Americans, such as former President Thomas Jefferson.

“OurDocuments.gov features transcripts and historical context of ‘100 milestone documents of American history’ but often uses adulatory and excessive language to document the historical contributions of White, wealthy men,” the report reads before taking aim at Jefferson.

“For example, a search of Thomas Jefferson in OurDocuments.gov brings up 24 results. He is described in this sample lesson plan as a ‘visionary’ who took ‘vigorous action’ to strengthen the ‘will of the nation to expand westward,’” the report continues.

“The plan does not mention that his policy of westward expansion forced Native Americans off their ancestral land, encouraged ongoing colonial violence, and laid the groundwork for further atrocities like the Trail of Tears,” it added.

Additionally, the report calls for “the creation of safe spaces in every NARA facility” and says NARA has “a responsibility to eliminate racist language in archival descriptions and revise the policies and practices that led to it.”
“With Democrats controlling every lever of our government, these efforts have only become more flagrant and pervasive. No institution, agency or classroom is off limits,” Cassie Smedile, executive director of America Rising told Fox News in an email. “The American people deserve to be made fully aware of the radical Left’s schemes, and we’ll continue to expose them.”

Kevin McCarthy Releases House GOP ‘Framework’ for Fighting Big Tech Censorship

House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy on Sunday night released a “framework” he argued to House Republicans would help rein in Big Tech companies from engaging in censorship and silencing of conservatives.

In a letter sent to House Republicans on Sunday night, McCarthy announced the framework as an apparent counterweight to a series of antitrust bills which last week passed the House Judiciary Committee with largely Democrat support but also some Republicans, most notably Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO).

“Just days before the 2018 primary election, Google search results for ‘California Republicans’ identified our ideology as ‘Nazism,’” McCarthy wrote:
At the same time, conservatives like Devin Nunes and Donald Trump Jr. were shadowbanned on Twitter. For pro-life groups like Live Action and others, the discrimination wasn’t subtle at all. Since then, the examples of conservative censorship and bias across internet platforms has proliferated. Each one of you are all too familiar with how Big Tech and its overwhelmingly liberal executives want to set the agenda and silence conservatives. But Big Tech doesn’t just have a free speech problem. It has an anti-competition problem too.
The letter from McCarthy is heavy on criticism of Google — and specifically mentions several other Big Tech companies like Twitter, Amazon, and Apple — but does not mention Facebook. A House GOP leadership aide told Breitbart News this framework would apply across the board to everyone including Facebook, though. It is notable that McCarthy’s letter also cites efforts specifically from Reps. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA). Jordan, in particular, is noteworthy because he is the founding chairman and chairman emeritus of the House Freedom Caucus who also serves as the House Judiciary Committee ranking member and holds lots of sway with conservatives and has been at loggerheads with Buck on the approach to combatting Big Tech for a while now.

“Over 90 percent of search happens on Google and 90 percent of users drop off after first-page results,” McCarthy continued in the letter:
The ability to stack the deck protects the willing participants of the scheme and punishes the non-compliant. The same gatekeeper effect lies with Amazon and Apple. If your company or product doesn’t meet the criteria of corporate wokeism, it’s increasingly likely Americans won’t find it on these platforms. Today’s Big Tech behemoths were once the gold standard of entrepreneurism and innovation. They took on incumbents, created new services, and transformed what our economy looks like today. Innovation and competition is what makes a free economy stronger, and ultimately, our lives better. But Big Tech’s idea of competition today is corrupted. Big Tech wants higher corporate taxes because companies like Amazon know it’s the entrepreneurs and disruptors who will have to pay more to try to compete. Apple, Google, and Amazon use their platforms to tip the scales towards higher fees and their growing product lines. And just about every big technology company has experience copying products or businesses they are unable to acquire.
McCarthy specifically praises the antitrust lawsuit filed by the DOJ against Google during former President Donald Trump’s administration but said that is not enough and Congress needs to act — noting that he, Jordan, and McMorris Rodgers will be introducing specific legislative proposals starting this week.

“The Trump Administration wisely commenced antitrust action against Google last October, but more can be done and Congressional action is warranted,” McCarthy said. “For the sake of preserving free speech and a free economy, it’s time Big Tech faces the music. House Republicans are ready to lead. This week I will join Ranking Members Jim Jordan and Cathy Rodgers to roll out a framework to stop Big Tech based on three principles.”

The three principles that are part of McCarthy’s framework are “accountability,” “transparency,” and “strengthening anti-trust review.”

Under the “accountability” part, McCarthy is heavy on ending Section 230 protections for Big Tech, saying that the House GOP framework “would rein in Big Tech and end their abusive practices, including by changing the law so that Americans can challenge Big Tech directly for their infringement of public speech rights.”

“This effort starts by taking away the liability shield Big Tech has hidden behind for far too long. Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act would be changed to limit liability protections for moderation of speech that is not protected by the First Amendment and would preclude Big Tech from discriminating against Americans based on their political affiliation,” McCarthy wrote. “We would also require regular reauthorization of Section 230 so Congress may update regulations of the constantly-evolving internet landscape.”

Under the “transparency” part, McCarthy puts an emphasis on trying to help conservatives in their fight against Big Tech censors — but the framework does not offer too many specific legislative recommendations.

“Our framework would empower Americans by ending Big Tech’s ability to hide behind vague terms of service that have not constrained their conduct in any meaningful way,” McCarthy wrote. “We will do so by mandating that any Big Tech content moderation decisions or censorship must be listed, with specificity, on a publicly available website. In addition, by requiring Big Tech to implement and maintain a reasonable user-friendly appeals process, our plan will empower conservatives and others whose speech rights have been infringed to challenge Big Tech’s attacks.”

Under the final section of the plan, which calls for strengthening antitrust laws, McCarthy wrote that the House GOP framework he, McMorris Rodgers, and Jordan are putting forward would aim to empower state attorneys general rather than the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to tackle litigation more quickly on this front.

“Our framework also recognizes that the status quo and bureaucratic delays are not acceptable when it comes to bringing long-overdue antitrust scrutiny to Big Tech,” McCarthy wrote. “We will provide an expedited court process with direct appeal to the Supreme Court and empower state attorneys general to help lead the charge against the tech giants to break them up. We will also reform the administrative state and remove impediments that delay taking action on Big Tech power.”

McCarthy’s letter to House GOP members then takes a direct shot at the bills from House Democrats that Buck and a handful of other House Republicans backed last week as they wove their way through the Judiciary Committee. He specifically wrote that those bills do nothing to help stop Big Tech censorship, while empowering the federal bureaucracy including the FTC.

“To this point, House Democrats have advanced a plan that not only ignores addressing conservative censorship, it makes it worse. And their plan empowers a federal bureaucracy with no accountability,” McCarthy wrote. “I have more faith in elected state leaders than in the unelected federal bureaucracy, which is as ideologically homogeneous as Big Tech. In other words, I think our former colleague Jeff Landry will more effectively prosecute anti-competitive behavior than Lina Khan.”

McCarthy’s letter concludes by admitting that this framework is only a “jumping off point” and that “more will need to be done,” and it calls for Republicans across the conference to develop legislation to fulfill those principles.

“We will work with our members, committees, and newly formed task forces to turn this framework into legislation, and we will fight for floor consideration,” McCarthy wrote. “Conservatives and our ideas have been targeted by Big Tech for too long. We must step up because make no mistake, the Democrats continue to demonstrate no interest in addressing fairness when it comes to conservative viewpoints. And they’ll continue to use Big Tech to do so.”

It remains to be seen what happens next, but McCarthy leaning into this is clearly an attempt to throw some sand in the gears of the Democrat-led effort — backed by Buck and some other Republicans — to push antitrust bills through both chambers of Congress after the Judiciary Committee just advanced several of them last week.

What House Speaker Nancy Pelosi plans to do next with the anti-trust bills and the timing is unknown at this point. She could proceed to the bills quickly or she could deep-six them entirely and ignore them. But whatever happens next could impact the bills’ chances in the evenly-divided but Democrat-controlled U.S. Senate, too, where Democrats would still need to hold their entire conference together and win over at least ten Senate Republicans to pass the bills there.

NYT: Pesky 14th Amendment Hinders Biden's Plans To Give Tax Dollars To Blacks For Being Black

Earlier: A Glimpse Of Biden's America: Massive Redistribution Of White Taxpayer Wealth Proposed As Part Of "Justice For Black Farmers Act"

From the New York Times news section:
No part of President Biden’s agenda has been as ambitious as his attempt to place concerns about equity squarely at the center of the federal government’s decision-making.

By Michael D. Shear, Stacy Cowley and Alan Rappeport
June 26, 2021

WASHINGTON — Since taking office 157 days ago, President Biden has promised to put racial equity at the center of everything he does, pledging in an executive order on Day 1 to take a “systematic approach to embedding fairness in decision-making” as he drafts legislation, hires staff, proposes spending and develops regulations.

But his efforts — which could radically realign the distribution of federal money and benefits in favor of people of color and other underserved communities — are running into legal and political obstacles.

In late May, Syovata Edari, the owner of CocoVaa Chocolatier in Madison, Wis., was told she would receive $50,000 from Mr. Biden’s government, courtesy of the president’s efforts to ensure that pandemic relief aid for struggling restaurants and food businesses would be distributed equitably.
I.e., “equitably” meaning Blacks First.

But three weeks later, she instead received an email that broke the bad news: The award had been rescinded thanks to a lawsuit filed on behalf of white restaurant owners that successfully challenged the program’s policy of prioritizing applications from women and people of color. The check she was counting on would not arrive.

“It doesn’t surprise me that once again these laws that we fought and died for, that were intended to benefit us — to even the playing field a bit more — are being used against us,” Ms. Edari, who is Black, said, referring to the Constitution’s equal protection clause.
I mean, sure, the 14th Amendment sounds like the part about “the equal protection of the laws” applies to everybody, but we all know that it’s good for the government to discriminate against whites.
… No part of Mr. Biden’s agenda has been as ambitious as his attempt to embrace racial considerations when making decisions. It pushes against limits set by the Supreme Court, which say programs based on race must be “narrowly tailored” to accomplish a “compelling governmental interest.” And it ignites passions at a time when Democrats hold the narrowest majority in Congress and the country is already seething with disagreements about race, power and fairness.

On Wednesday, a federal judge in Florida echoed a court ruling in Wisconsin by ordering a halt to an Agriculture Department program to forgive the debts of Black and other minority farmers after years of discrimination. The judge wrote that Congress must “heed its obligation to do away with governmentally imposed discrimination based on race.”

The small-business program that prioritized people like Ms. Edari was forced to change its rules last month after challenges by white Americans who say the policy is racist. And around the country, Republicans are promising to tie the president’s equity efforts to a broader culture war during the 2022 midterm elections, arguing that Mr. Biden is doing the bidding of liberal activists who believe that all white people are racist.
On Capitol Hill, the $1.9 trillion relief package Mr. Biden pushed through in March, known as the American Rescue Plan, included money for health care, child care and poverty programs that disproportionately benefit minority groups, underserved communities and women.

The president’s initial proposal for vast spending on infrastructure would have gone even further, reversing racial disparities in how the government builds, repairs and locates a wide range of physical projects, including a $20 billion plan to “reconnect” communities of color to economic opportunity. But an emerging bipartisan deal on infrastructure does not include $400 billion for home health aides, a program that benefits many women of color. And it is uncertain whether it will embrace some of Mr. Biden’s other race-conscious proposals.

The challenges to Mr. Biden’s proposals have so far halted only a small fraction of his broader equity agenda, which has already ensured that billions of dollars in government spending have reached African Americans and poor women. Some of the president’s programs, like the child tax credit, are less vulnerable to legal challenges because they are technically race-neutral even as they disproportionately benefit people of color.
OK, they just said some of Biden’s plans only commit disparate impact racial discrimination, while others are overtly discriminatory against whites.

I know that these days we are supposed to obsess over pronouns like he, she, and they, but in 2021 the only pronouns that really matter are who and whom.
Administration officials say the court rulings and political opposition are merely speed bumps that will do little to block progress. And they say Mr. Biden will continue to fight for parts of his legislative agenda that are not in a compromise bill.

… But the resistance to Mr. Biden’s pledge to make equity “the business of the whole of government” is an early warning sign of more to come.

The fight over how much the government and other institutions can consider race when making decisions has intensified in recent years, with conservative activists making a concerted legal push for rulings by a more right-leaning Supreme Court in areas as varied as university admissions, government contracting and voting rights.
If white people trying in the courts to get the White House to stop discriminating against them isn’t White Supremacy, I don’t know what is.

Now, the president’s critics, including Republican lawmakers and conservative activists, are lining up other court challenges and are vowing to push back against what they say is blatant discrimination by the government against its citizens.

… Conservative lawyers are still combing through the relief legislation for other provisions that could be ripe for lawsuits because they tie economic aid to race, according to Rick M. Esenberg, the president and general counsel of the Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty, which is representing about a dozen white farmers who filed the lawsuit.

Mr. Esenberg said he did not expect the farmers’ program to move forward as is because it violated the right to equal protection under the law.

“It’s very difficult to construct an argument that this program could possibly be constitutional,” he said.

… Treasury Secretary Janet L. Yellen assigned her deputy secretary, Wally Adeyemo, to develop a civil rights strategy for the department this year.
After all, Wally Adeyemo must know all about the horrors of American slavery and Jim Crow because he’s clearly descended from a long line of African-Americans.
… The Justice Department argued in a court filing that the government “has a compelling interest in remedying the effects of past and present discrimination.”

But a federal judge in Texas and a three-judge panel from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit objected and said the relief program’s approach was too blunt and ran afoul of the Constitution’s equal protection guarantee.

In response to the court rulings, the Small Business Administration, which runs the relief program, abandoned its prioritization plan in late May. By then, most of the money had already been distributed: Around 72,000 women- and minority-led businesses received $18 billion, more than 60 percent of the relief fund’s money, before the court injunctions took effect.

John W. Boyd Jr., the president of the nonprofit National Black Farmers Association, said officials dragged their feet getting the money out the door, he said, allowing time for lawsuits to be filed.
If only the Biden Administration had been faster at trampling on the Constitution, I’d have gotten that money and spent it all long before the courts could rule.

Former Army Captain, Purple Heart Recipient Sean Parnell Rips Joint Chiefs Chair Gen. Mark Milley For Defending CRT

Former Army Captain and Pennsylvania senate candidate Sean Parnell ripped into Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Mark A. Milley for his defense of teaching Critical Race Theory (CRT) in the armed forces.

During a Friday segment of “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” the purple heart and two-time bronze star recipient said that the military’s promotion of CRT will “ultimately cost lives on the battlefield.”

“If you are looking for a way to destroy the United States military from the inside out without firing a shot, talk about what he’s talking about and implement Critical Race Theory,” Parnell began, “It makes it harder to accomplish the mission and ultimately I think it will cost lives on the battlefield.”

“I was blessed to lead an infantry platoon on the border on Afghanistan and Pakistan. We were probably the most diverse unit that you could possibly imagine. Northerners serving next to southerners, black next to white, Christians next to atheists next to Jews, rich next to poor, young versus old, and, yes, Democrats next to Republicans,” he continued.

“We didn’t focus on our many differences. There were no hyphenated Americans with us in Afghanistan and what we realized our secret weapon was is it wasn’t the sexy guns and equipment that we had. It was a love and brotherhood that we have for one another that allowed us to defeat the enemy at every single turn.”

“Critical Race Theory undermines all of that. It’s a disaster. When men and women raise their right hand to serve this country, they do so because they believe that America is an exceptional nation worth defending. critical race theory undermines that because it teaches people that America is fundamentally bad, it’s evil, its systems need to be reinvented because at their core, well they’re racist. That, Tucker, is a national security threat.”

Parnell went on to criticize Gen. Milley for being more focused on defending the military’s diversity policies than having a coherent exit strategy for Afghanistan.

“What truly bothers me is the Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff should be focused on an exit strategy in Afghanistan. We’ve been in Afghanistan for twenty years, over half of my life, and instead, he is reading Lenin, Marx and studying Critical Race Theory. How about we get an exit strategy in Afghanistan. How about we focus on bringing men and women home and taking care of them when they come home?”

“If the chairman does not recognize the threat, the caustic nature of critical race theory and the threat it poses to our military, that I think he should consider resigning.”

After narrowly losing a congressional race in 2020 to Democratic Rep. Conor Lamb, Parnell recently declared his candidacy for the U.S. Senate in Pennsylvania.

Leftwing Billionaires and Foundations Are Not Just Trying to Buy Our Elections, They’re Trying to Buy Our Public Schools Too

Election

Conservative leaders across America like Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Texas Governor Greg Abbott are cracking down on so-called Zuckerbucks, the potential malign influence of private money on the conduct of our public elections. But there is an even bigger threat from private money that could deform classrooms and communities right under our noses—Civicsbucks.

Readers will remember that the term Zuckerbucks refers to the more than $400 million dollars that was donated by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, to local election boards across America during the 2020 election, distorting the outcome of the presidential election in Georgia, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Arizona, and elsewhere. The Zuckerbergs spent as much money as the U.S. Congress did in the CARES Act to build election infrastructure with a disproportionate amount of the funding going to Democrat areas.

In Pennsylvania’s Democrat Delaware County, for example, this Zuckerbucks funding was used to install 1 drop box every 4 miles for every 4,000 voters, whereas in the 59 counties that Trump had won in 2016, 1 drop box was placed every 1,100 miles for every 72,000 voters. In Wisconsin, Zuckerbucks allowed areas of the state that had previously voted Democrat in the 2016 election to spend $47 per voter, while Republican areas had only $4 to $7 to spend per voter.

It is hard to imagine anything that could erode trust in our nation’s public institutions more quickly than leftwing billionaires and foundations using private money to fund the administration of our elections.

But there is one thing—a growing movement to use private money to inject woke ideology into public schools. Call it Civicsbucks. Its purpose is to put the most radical Democrat organizations and billionaires in the driver’s seat of our education system. Instead of altering the manner of an election, Civicsbucks help critical race theory proponents and leftwing activists alter the minds of our young people. Illinois is blazing a path to this nightmarish future. In 2015, the legislature there passed a bill to allow local school districts to “utilize private funding available for the purposes of offering civics education.”

Innocent enough, right?

Wrong. Like Zuckerbucks, when private money flows into public schools, pernicious partisan goals trump public needs. The change in Illinois law allowed for leftwing organizations like iCivics and the Robert R. McCormick Foundation to spend over $1 million in private funding to design and implement a new woke agenda for Illinois public schools.

In 2021, with the aid and direction of the McCormick Foundation, Illinois went even more woke and passed new “Culturally Responsive Teaching and Leading Standards” that mandates that teachers acknowledge “the wide spectrum and fluidity of identities.” The Illinois State Board of Education now recommends as part of their reading list for teachers an article advocating white fragility training to help teachers “move past their whiteness.”

Allowing for private funding of civics education has given leftwing activists de facto control of the civics curriculum and teacher trainings statewide to infuse them with leftist orthodoxy on race and gender. Illinois civics materials are now steeped in critical race theory polemics such as White Fragility by Robin DeAngelo and Ibram Kendi’s textbook that asserts: “The only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination. The only remedy to present discrimination is future discrimination.”

The radical historical revisionism of the New York Times’ 1619 Project also features prominently in Illinois civics materials, and Shawn Healy, who is a leading figure behind the Illinois civics law and Senior Director of Policy and Advocacy at the leftwing group iCivics, says that parents who do not want their children to be indoctrinated with critical race theory should be refuted by teachers relying on “highly reputable sources” such as the 1619 Project. Healy maintains this position even though the 1619 Project has been roundly rejected as a “highly reputable source” by numerous prominent historians. In addition, Illinois civics materials exhibit a clear partisan bias. One lesson plan, for example, requires students to read former President Trump’s tweets and then answer the questions: “What characteristics would make someone a cyberbully?” and “[D]o you think he is perpetuating racist narratives?”

As AMAC Newsline has reported, the new civics that is being hailed today has little to do with the teaching of civics in the traditional sense. It’s “action civics.” And it’s a bait-and-switch game. When action civics is the name, leftism is the game. And it’s an action civics curriculum in public schools that leftwing billionaires and foundations like the McCormick Foundation want to fund.

In the new civics curriculum, students are not taught how to be citizens. They’re taught how to be activists. And, like the name warns, they’re required to put their teachings into action.

Action civics projects have organized students—for school credit—to publicly push and protest to provide driver’s licenses for illegal immigrants, raise the minimum wage, and support unionization, among other leftist priorities.

Illinois was one of the first states to allow lefty organizations to infiltrate the teacher training operation and provide de facto management and direction to action civics as practiced in the state. But it’s unlikely to be the last. A broad leftwing controlled coalition led by iCivics recently pushed for similar legislation in Texas.

In Arlington, Virginia, billionaire Jeff Bezos’ company Amazon recently donated hundreds of copies of a book by critical race theory proponent Ibram Kendi to an Arlington County high school as part of a Black History Month initiative. Amazon also paid the book’s co-author $10,000 to indoctrinate faculty and students with divisive concepts that the book itself readily admits are “not history[.]” (The book literally starts with the words: “This is not a history book. I repeat, this is not a history book.”)

Considering how important schools are in shaping our culture, these examples of Civicsbucks represent a dramatic escalation and a fundamental change in tactics. Leftist activists now seek to use private funding to buy out public-school classrooms and impose their own radical notions on everything from marriage to religion, from abortion to the Second Amendment, and from free speech to critical race theory onto the very curriculum that is being taught to America’s children.

Schools are where we decide what kind of a people we become. In schools, an anti-American narrative put forward by teachers can be treated as gospel, to be worshipped and acted upon by students, but never questioned. This is what makes Civicsbucks so dangerous to the country and so appealing to the left.

It was precisely this danger that former Attorney General Bill Barr addressed in a recent speech in Naples, Florida. Barr noted that most of today’s public schools offer an “indoctrination into an affirmative belief and value system” so thoroughly that it “tak[es] the place of religion.” The former chief law enforcement officer of the United States said that “We are rapidly approaching the point—if we have not already reached the point—at which the heavy-handed enforcement of secular-progressive orthodoxy through government-run schools is totally incompatible with traditional Christianity and other major religious traditions in our country.”

Barr went on to acknowledge that a simple solution to the problem of the religion of secularism that so thoroughly pervades our public school system is to allow every parent the right to take their child’s share of public funding and use it to attend the school of their choice.

Ironically, if the leftwing “action civics” activists who are pushing to allow private financing of civics education were logically consistent, these same groups would support Barr’s call for universal school choice. After all, if private groups can decide what core civic values are best for public school students, then certainly their own parents can make such a choice.

If Civicsbucks continue to infiltrate America’s public schools, then there are only two outcomes for the future of education. Either big money leftwing donors will erode our children’s understanding of their own history, purpose, and very identity from within, or more conservatives will address this problem seriously, as a few including South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem have already pledged, and treat Civicsbucks like Zuckerbucks.

Just as states are working to ban Zuckerbucks from manipulating elections, states across the country also need to take action to ban Civicsbucks. At the same time, we need to take seriously the urgency of providing universal school choice in K-12 education. The question before each school district now should be whether parents or billionaires — and their partisan leftwing foundations flush with billions in private funding — will oversee what our children are taught in school about their country.

With the already-growing backlash against critical race theory underway, the kindling of the school-choice-for -all movement is slowly catching fire. The threat of Civicsbucks could very well be the spark that leads to a grassroots revolt that has even more energy and intensity —and impact—than the Tea Party and anti-Common Core movements did in their time.

Democratic Rep. Lucy McBath says America 'was founded on racism'

Says there are 'demographics of people in the country that are afraid . . . of the browning of America'
By Thomas Barrabi | Fox News

Rep. Lucy McBath, D-Ga., called earlier this month for officials at every level of government to step up efforts to address systemic inequality, arguing at a virtual event that racism was "in every fiber" of the United States.

McBath made the remarks on June 18 while participating in a virtual town hall hosted by law firm Duane Morris in honor of Juneteenth, the newly established federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. During the event, a moderator asked the Georgia lawmaker to detail her opinion on the state of race relations in the country and the corporate community’s role in fostering change.

In response, McBath argued that recent events, such as nationwide protests against police brutality following the death of George Floyd and the passage of GOP-backed election bills in Georgia and other states, were proof that systemic racism still exists.

"What has been happening these last few years, I have to be honest, I think that a lot of the upheaval and the uprising that we’ve been experiencing since 2016, I think a lot of it is a great backlash to having President Barack Obama for eight years," McBath said. "I think that there are demographics of people in the country that are afraid. They are afraid of the browning of America. They are afraid that the power and authority that they have is slipping through their hands."

"I think what we’ve seen since 2016 has been an awakening for America. People who thought, ‘oh, racism doesn’t really exist.’ Racism, the country was founded on racism. Racism is in every fiber of our country," she added.

Democrats and Republicans have offered differing viewpoints in recent months on the state of race relations. Democrats have called for sweeping legislative overhauls for federal police standards following Floyd’s death, as well as the passage of an election overhaul known as the "For The People Act" in response to GOP-backed election bills in several states.

Democrats have alleged the bills amount to voter suppression, while Republicans say the measures are necessary to ensure election integrity following a contentious 2020 cycle.

"We’re in a reckoning right now. I think the United States of America has come to a reckoning that we’ve got a lot of work to do yet," McBath said. "We’ve not arrived yet with what people want to brush under the rug and say, ‘oh, we’ve arrived, we’re a post-racial society.’ We are not, and until we are able to not only acknowledge our history of racism, bigotry and discrimination -- I think everyone now is recognizing that -- but we’ve got to go beyond recognizing it."

The difference in party messaging was on display in April, when President Biden argued during his first speech to Congress that policy initiatives such as his two-pronged infrastructure spending package provided a "real chance to root out systemic racism that plagues American life."

Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., delivered the official Republican rebuttal, declaring that "America is not a racist country" and accusing Democrats of using race "as a political weapon to settle every issue the way one side wants."

McBath is a prominent Democratic lawmaker in Georgia, where Biden won a surprise victory over former President Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election. She won reelection in Georgia’s 6th congressional district last November, retaining a seat once held by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich when the state was still a GOP stronghold.

Critical Race Theory Is Hurting the Next Generation

Critical Race Theory Is Hurting the Next Generation

Source: AP Photo/Evan Vucci

Living in Northern Virginia for years, I have seen firsthand the perils of injecting critical race theory into our schools. A generation of young men and women are being taught that race is the lens through which all other issues are examined, whether history, math or science.

In a recent commencement speech, Abrar Omeish, a Fairfax County school board member, articulated this ideology, asserting, "You understand that social justice is only political for those that can afford to ignore it. You understand that 'neutral' is another word for complicit. And you have made a choice to take a stand."

This uncompromising worldview alienates many students and further divides America. It is wrong to shame young men and women simply because they don’t share a teacher’s outlandish political views or support a particular activist agenda. Our education system should bring us together over shared American values, not tear us apart. Parents together with groups like Parents Defending Education are fighting back by revealing the abuses occurring in many school districts, whether through lawsuits or public exposure.

Recent events in Virginia show how many districts have been captured by proponents of the discredited and poisonous critical race theory like Omeish.

The Fairfax County school board has made promoting deeply controversial critical race theory a misplaced priority, even as the district struggled to adapt to the coronavirus. Recently, the county superintendent, Scott Brabrand, announced a survey to collect parental input on changing the curriculum.

Parents were shocked by the biased and leading nature of the questions, steeped in left-wing rhetoric. One question, for example, injected the ideologically infused phrasing "ways to take action against racial and social injustice," and the question as to whether schools "should teach students how to challenge power and privilege in society," sounds like it could have been lifted from Antifa talking points. The framing of these questions wrongly assumes that America is inherently racist. There is no room for dispute or nuance in the survey. Either you are challenging power and privilege or are a part of the system (a core message in prominent critical race theorist Ibram X. Kendi's work).

Emails uncovered by PDE have since revealed that the survey was intentionally designed to elicit biased results. The group conducting the survey had already been awarded a contract by Fairfax County to revamp the curriculum and will be paid hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars in coming years. It is disheartening to see critical race theory spread to the doorstep of Washington, D.C., where so many important policy decisions occur.

The introduction of critical race theory isn't limited to one district in Virginia. In Evanston, Illinois, parents were asked to read a book called Not My Idea: A Book About Whiteness with their students and discuss how "whiteness shows up in school or in the community." Similarly, third-graders at R.I. Meyerholz Elementary School in California were made to rank themselves based on how much "power and privilege" they had.

These efforts seem to be a precursor to the nationalization of critical race theory. President Biden's Department of Education plans to funnel grant funding to schools that implement programs that teach the tenants of critical race theory.

The initial program only provides a few million dollars in funding, but if implemented, the administration can push for billions in similar funding.

Enough is enough; we need to push back against nonsense. We should be teaching children about core American values like justice, liberty and opportunity, not racializing our past. America isn't perfect, and we shouldn't cover up our failures, but everything cannot and shouldn't be boiled down to race and racism. Doing so does a disservice to America's young women, who are taught that the color of their skin defines them more than the choices they make.

Many Americans are standing up against the pernicious doctrines of critical race theory and are fighting to take back our schools. I know many other parents like me all over America have had enough of our schools becoming indoctrination outposts.

Parents may not be able to vet or opt out of the social justice, ideologically skewed educational regimen being taught nationwide in K-12 classrooms.

But thousands of lesson plans designed to instill students with a gender-fluid, racist, anti-American ideology are available for review at TeachersPayTeachers.com, a site allowing teachers to sell and share educational programs.

According to the Teachers Pay Teachers website, TpT “is the go-to place for over 85% of U.S. educators to find teacher-created, teacher-tested classroom resources” and “has grown to reach over 5 million educators.”

The site contains 5,552 lesson plans to nurture students on the tenets of Black Lives Matter, 3,712 on critical race, 166 on white privilege, and dozens of gender equity lesson plans.

A 2-week lesson plan available on TpT, titled “Social Justice and Racial Equity Unit in Kindergarten,” implores young learners in pre-K to first grade to become race-conscious, mindful of different skin tones by examining.

“With your partner, who has lighter skin and whose is darker?” students are asked in the 10-day unit.

Gender equity is incorporated in the racial equity unit for kindergarteners in a lesson called “Pink Is For Boys- Lesson on Gender Equality.” The lesson asks students to create pictures of objects that have different colors “to focus on color and gender equality.”

Another 2 weeks lesson plan designed for students in kindergarten to third grade called “Gender Equality Activities,” features 10 lessons that focus on “acceptance, challenging gender stereotypes, positive self-image and understanding.”

“This unit offers an extensive book list that will help teachers to gather a wide range of quality books that help to challenge gender stereotypes,” a description of the lesson plan states.

Assignments included in the unit include “Ballerino Nate,” “Household Tasks” and “Accepting Me For Me.”

A lesson plan called “The Woke Classroom” covers topics including gender pronouns and how to use them, how to make your classroom more inclusive, guidelines for establishing a safe space, how to reduce transphobia in schools and an explanation of non-binary genders.

While the students are inundated with distorted views of reality in public schools across America, parents are beginning to realize the institutions they fund and entrust with their children are indoctrination centers.

The effort to use schools as political activist training camps is deeply unpopular among the majority of U.S. voters, Republicans and Democrats alike. A survey conducted in May by Competitive Edge Research found that 74 percent of respondents are “somewhat or strongly opposed” to white privilege training in schools.

Voters are similarly opposed to gender equity curriculum. Seventy-five percent of respondents opposed communicating to students that biological sex does not exist, while just 18 percent of respondents supported such ideology.

Fact Check: White House Falsely Claims Republicans Support Defunding the Police

CLAIM: The White House on Monday again posed the idea that Republicans were the ones trying to defund the police because they voted against President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion coronavirus aid plan.

VERDICT: FALSE. Republicans did not vote to defund police by opposing Biden’s American Rescue Plan.

The White House claim was first floated by President Joe Biden’s senior adviser Cedric Richmond on Fox News Sunday.

He said:
Let’s talk about who defunded the police. When we were in Congress last year trying to pass a rescue plan — I’m sorry, not the rescue plan but an emergency relief plan for cities that were cash-strapped and laying off police and firefighters, it was the Republicans who objected to it. And in fact, they didn’t get funding until the American Rescue Plan, which our plan allowed state and local governments to replenish their police departments and do the other things that are needed.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki repeated a version of the same talking point during the daily press briefing at the White House.

But this is misleading.

Biden’s massive coronavirus aid package provided $360 billion to local governments facing budget shortages as a result of the pandemic, but it was not specifically directed at funding the police.

A search for the terms “police” or “law enforcement” in the text of the 242-page bill that Biden signed does not turn up any mentions of direct funding for law enforcement.

Although the White House did use the talking point that the broad grants to localities could be used to help police departments and first responders, the American Rescue Plan did not include specific funding to hire more police officers.

Last Wednesday, Biden reminded local governments they could use the funds directed to them by the federal government to bolster their law enforcement agencies, even though the funding was not explicit.

“We’re now providing more guidance on how they can use the $350 billion nationally that the American Rescue Plan has available to help reduce crime and address the root causes,” Biden said in a speech at the White House on Wednesday, adding the funds could be used to “hire police officers needed for community policing and to pay their overtime.”

ESG Investing – The Great Wall Street Money Heist

MONDAY, JUN 28, 2021 - 10:47 AM
Authored by Lance Roberts via RealInvestmentAdvice.com,

Wall Street is once again in the midst of a “money heist” from naive investors. This time in the form of “woke activism” called ESG.

ESG refers to the Environmental, Social, and Governance risk theoretically embedded in a business. However, while ESG investing is about taking these risks into account in investment decisions, these are all the things NOT on a company’s balance sheet or earnings statements. Such is the inherent problem.

However, as is also the case, with the recent surge in liberal policies, woke activism, and demand for social justice, Wall Street is more than willing to sell products to fill a need. Not surprisingly, with plenty of media coverage, ESG investing has become an enormous business.

Following the financial crisis, ESG funds had roughly a ZERO market share of total assets under management. Today, ESG-labelled funds in the United States exceed $16 trillion.

The question is whether investors are getting what they are paying for?

What Are You Paying For

In the late ’90s, there was a significant movement by Wall Street to limit investing in “sin” stocks such as gambling, tobacco, etc. Just as it was then, investors initially jumped on board, but when returns failed to match the S&P index, that “fad” died away.

The same occurs today as investors who want to be “woke” are demanding products that make them feel good to purchase. However, there are many problems with ESG outside the labeling.

There are currently no universal rules to analyze ESG risks. Nor are there any clear frameworks to police ESG-labelled investment products. As Eco-Business recently noted:
“For example, deforestation is a major driver of climate change. You would think it’s being used as a filter to ensure companies in ESG-labelled funds are not turning a blind eye to deforestation, but you would be wrong. Carbon Tracker, an industry ‘think tank,’ found that 78% of mutual fund providers offered ESG investments. However, none specifically excluded deforestation risk. Not a single one actively priced climate risk either.”
Let me give you an example of the top 10-holdings of two ETF’s. One is specifically labeled an ESG fund; the other is the S&P 500 Index.

So, precisely what are you paying for?

More Scam Than Benefit

The problem with ESG funds is that Inconsistencies and abuse are rife.
“BNP Paribas, the largest bank in the Eurozone, never wastes an opportunity to boast of its green credentials. It’s also the world’s top banker of offshore oil and gas over the last five years and managed to increase fossil fuels lending since the Paris agreement. Here’s the same BNP on sustainable investing: ‘Why sustainable investing? Quite simply, it is worth it.’ BNP peddles ESG products to its clients with one hand, while its other hand fuels the climate crisis.” – Eco-Business
Another example is the recent Exxon Mobil board seat challenge by Engine No. 1. With the backing of Blackrock and several pension funds with close ties to Blackrock, Engine No. 1 secured three board seats for the company.
“And guess what? BlackRock backed this no-name cadre of woke activists, even as Exxon persuasively argued that Engine No. 1 wasn’t qualified to help run an oil company. With BlackRock on the fund’s side, ExxonMobil eventually folded like a cheap tent.”
The NY Post made an interesting point.
“Now with Engine No. 1 likely to occupy three seats on Exxon’s board, it isn’t too much of a stretch to see the company passing Fink’s ESG screens for his ETFs with flying colors.”
Good For Me

If you think investment managers are doing it for the “good of the environment,” think again.
“Investment managers and banks are taking advantage of our collective willingness to help fight climate change because the ESG space is, to put it mildly, a zoo.

Epic greenwashing is everywhere: Out of 253 funds that switched to an ESG focus in 2020 in the US, 87 per cent of them rebranded by adding words such as ‘sustainable’ or “ESG” or ‘green’ or ‘climate’ to their names.

None changed their stock or bond holdings at that point.”Eco-Business
Why would they change their name and not their holdings? Good question.

Show Me The Money

“Complete fraud, a joke, jargon, so ridiculous” were among the choice words Social Capital founder and CEO Chamath Palihapitiya used to describe the growing ESG movement.
“These are useful statements. It’s great marketing. But again it’s a lot of sizzle, no steak.”
With ESG now the rage, the “demand” drives product development. However, there is also an understanding of why large asset managers have embraced the strategy so readily – higher fees.

Let’s revisit the table of the two funds above, now fully disclosed.

Yes, you too can own an ESG fund that is almost three times as expensive as the S&P 500 index, all for the sake of “feeling good about yourself.”

According to The Wall Street Journal:
“Citing ETF data from FactSet, it found the ESG funds’ ‘average fee was 0.2% at the end of last year, while standard ETFs that invest in U.S. large-cap stocks had a 0.14% fee on average. A firm managing $1 billion in a typical ESG fund, for example, would garner $2 million in annual fees versus managing the standard ETF’s $1.4 million.”
Look again at the table above. Furthermore, there are virtually no significant differences in the ESG ETF except that Blackrock put their company stock in the lineup. But, of course, there is “no self-serving purpose” in doing that except that as billions pour into the ETF, it boosts Blackrock’s stock price.
“The kicker, of course, is that ESG strategies aren’t any more expensive to run than their more-traditional counterparts.– Wall Street Journal
Oh, and by the way, while you are complaining about how Wall Street has created a “wealth gap” in America, remember every time you buy their funds, you are increasing THEIR wealth more than yours.

Wall Street Wins Again
“If governance is a hard quality to measure, rating a company’s environmental and social impact – the other two-thirds of hot investment style ESG – is even more challenging. But where the money flows, accusations of fraud follow and in 2020 there has been no shortage of examples of businesses claiming high ESG credentials with little merit.”Investors’ Chronicle
The problem with ESG, while the concept is undoubtedly well-intentioned, is that where money flows, greed always follows.
“There probably aren’t that many companies in the ESG universe that actually make a positive contribution to society, I suspect the vast majority of the money [being invested in ESG] is going to be misallocated.” – Carson Block, founder of short activist Muddy Waters
Here is something else for investors to consider.

ETFs are supposed to carry lower fees than regular funds because they mirror a typical basket of stocks like the S&P 500, as shown above. However, by “claiming” to have ESG screening methods, Wall Street found a way to inflate management fees of a simplistic investment.
“In fact, studies show that management fees on ESG funds are more than 40 percent higher than other ETFs. BlackRock currently manages about $200 billion in ESG client money, which means that number is likely to grow and add to BlackRock’s profits.” – NY Post
Laughing To The Bank

Unfortunately, for investors, while these funds cost much more to own, their performance isn’t any better than just holding the substantially cheaper index fund. As shown, the correlation between Blackrock’s USA ESG fund and the S&P 500 Index is almost perfect.

Chart courtesy of Michael Lebowitz, CFA
“These funds lately haven’t beat indices that are simply created to make you money and only do so when they pack themselves with high-flying tech names. Sounds good on paper — until you drill down.
For starters, such investing methods are highly political and veer far to the left. Companies often get good grades for supporting lefty causes such as Black Lives Matter. Oil companies like Exxon will get higher marks for building wind farms that produce energy inefficiently.

But here’s where Larry Fink and BlackRock still come out ahead: They have sensed that with all the media hype of ESG investing as the next frontier, they can also make a lot of money creating a new type of fund dedicated specifically to ESG — and then charge more for it.” – NY Post
In short, while Wall Street pushes out products to make “you” feel like you are socially responsible, they laugh all the way to the bank.
“Will the rest of the investors make money? Quibbles.”NY Post

'End systemic racism': U.N. calls for reparations, government funding of BLM

Human-rights group demands immediate action for 'untenable' situation

Art Moore

The nations of the world must immediately dismantle "systemic racism" against blacks and pay them reparations while granting government funding and support to groups such as Black Lives Matter, declared the United Nation's human-rights chief.

In her 23-page report, Michelle Bachelet, the U.N. high commissioner for human rights, said "the status quo is untenable."

"Systemic racism needs a systemic response. There needs to be a comprehensive rather than a piecemeal approach to dismantling systems entrenched in centuries of discrimination and violence," she said.

"We need a transformative approach that tackles the interconnected areas that drive racism, and lead to repeated, wholly avoidable, tragedies like the death of George Floyd,"

The problem with her assessment of Floyd's death in police custody is that the state's top prosecutor, Attorney General Keith Ellison, concluded there was no evidence that race played a role.

The U.N. report proposes a four-point agenda for "racial justice" and "equality," urging that it be implemented immediately.

Funding for groups such as Black Lives Matter is a starting point to address an issue of virtually limitless scope.

There is a "long-overdue need to confront the legacies of enslavement, the transatlantic trade in enslaved Africans and colonialism, and to seek reparatory justice," the report says.

The conclusions were drawn from a U.N. study based on interviews with experts and more than 340 people mostly of African descent. In addition, there were more than 100 contributions in writing, including from governments.

“We could not find a single example of a state that has fully reckoned with the past or comprehensively accounted for the impacts of the lives of people of African descent today," said Mona Rishmawi, the head of a non-discrimination unit for the human rights office.

She said at a news conference that the "message, therefore, is that this situation is untenable."

Compensation is warranted, she said, at the "collective and the individual level."

Author James Simpson Warns: Communists See 'Rare Opportunity' to 'Finally Seize Complete Power' (Video)

Renee Nal
June 28, 2021
Jim-Simpson-1200x630.png

“the left is rampaging across America – and actually the whole world like never before.”

RAIR Foundation USA was honored to interview author and speaker James Simpson about his new book “Who Was Karl Marx?: The Men, the Motives and the Menace Behind Today’s Rampaging American Left.”

While many see that there is a fundamental problem in the political climate, few understand the roots of the problem. “I felt it was absolutely critical for people to understand where all this comes – how it got mainlined into our culture and society,” Simpson explained.

Simpson explained that he felt the need to publish this book at this time in history because “the left is rampaging across America – and actually the whole world like never before.”

James Simpson exposed the communist roots of the Black Lives Matter movement way back in 2016. He also put the Cloward-Piven Strategy on the map and wrote the powerful books Red-Green Axis and Red-Green Axis 2.0.

Communists currently “see a rare opportunity to finally seize complete power in the United States and overthrow our constitutional form of government,” Simpson warned. The plan, he continues, is to “overthrow our constitutional form of government” and ultimately impose global communism.

What do High Profile Communists Have in Common?
James Simpson noted that Karl Marx and Che Guevara as human beings were “diametrically opposed to their public image.” Both, he explained, were “slobs” in that they were literally dirty human beings who did not change their clothes or bathe. Like most prominent communists, Marx and Guevara came from privileged backgrounds, as did the Castro brothers (Fidel and Raul), Mao Zedong, and most other prominent radicals.

Both Marx and Che were philanderers. Simpson noted that, among other things, Marx impregnated his maid. Marx’s enabler Friedrich Engels claimed that he was the child’s father to protect Marx.

Voter Fraud Legislation
Simpson warned of the voter fraud legislation deceptively named the “For the People Act,” which will “federalize elections and make mail-in voting mandatory basically taking over the election process by the corrupt Democrats who rely on vote fraud every year to get themselves re-elected.” Note that Simpson misspoke when he referred to the legislation as the “First Step Act.” The author clarified to RAIR Foundation USA that he meant the “For the People Act,” which will quickly resurface if the Democrats successfully abolish the filibuster.

The Four Fundamental Concepts of Communism

The Issue is Never the Issue
One of Simpson’s “fundamental concepts” in understanding communism is that communists promote issues for the sole purpose of forwarding their revolution.

“They don’t care about civil rights; they don’t care about gay rights, they don’t care about immigrant rights,” Simpson explained. The issues promoted by the left are exploited to further their agenda. ” They only see those [issues] as vehicles, through which they can seize and hold power,” he continued.

The reason so many are taken in by the leftist issues is because they are “wrapping themselves in the mantle of compassion.” “They don’t realize that these agendas are actually malevolent,” Simpson explained. “They’re not helpful.

They are agendas that to divide and fracture our country,” he said.

The ultimate goal of communists, Simpson said, is not equality but rather to “seize absolute power and the wealth that goes with it for themselves.”

Communism versus Facts
Another of Mr. Simpson’s “fundamental concepts” answers a core question as to why the left is simply incapable of honest debate. People of good faith deal in facts, but the left deals in strategy. “Stop thinking of our political controversies as simply differences of opinion between the right and left,” Simpson said. Rather, he said, this is an “asymmetric strategy of military conquest.”

Debate is not an option for those who do not care about the truth. Instead, Simpson explained, the left will seek to “discredit” their opposition. “They will always try to discredit you because that is their agenda; they could care less what the facts are – they are determined to seize absolute power and wealth from the rest of us,” he warned.

‘Psychological Terrorism’
Mr. Simpson’s very revealing third “fundamental concept” is what he refers to as “psychological terrorism,” or the deliberate attempt to disengage citizens from reality and punish non-compliance. Simpson mentioned the communist training school known as the Frankfurt School, which was the birth of “critical theory,” a precursor to “Critical Race Theory.”

“Their goal was to do everything possible to detach us from reality, so they lie directly to our faces, and then they threaten us, silence us, dox us, get us fired from work if we even peep in response,” he said.

This is such a key concept in understanding why leftists promote ridiculous notions such as numerous genders then demand that citizens comply. “They’ve made America afraid to be proud of itself,” he warned. Now that Mr. Simpson explained this tactic, it is up to citizens of goodwill to stand against “psychological terrorism!”

Americans, and citizens all over the globe, must learn to stop being intimidated and loudly say no to this comparably small group of agitators.

The Evil Agenda
The fourth “fundamental concept” that people must understand is that communism is not a political option, but rather an evil agenda. Consider the battle between good and evil has been manifesting itself for thousands of years. Communism represents the side aligned with evil and is indeed “satanic,” Mr. Simpson said. “There is no other way to view it,” he continued.

Knowledge is power.

Lawsuits challenge critical race theory in charter school curriculum, bias reporting in K-12

"It's not about learning - it's about being forced into this ideology," says lawyer for Nevada and Virginia families.

By Greg Piper
Updated: June 28, 2021 - 11:33pm

Gabrielle Clark and her biracial son sued his Nevada charter school to let him graduate without participating in a mandatory class they claim promotes hostility toward whites as a race.

Democracy Prep at the Agassi Campus (DPAC), part of the New York-based Democracy Prep Public Schools charter network, relented on the eve of a preliminary injunction hearing in April.

It let him opt out of the graduation requirement "Sociology of Change” and expunged his failing grade for refusing to participate, according to his then-lawyers at Schoolhouse Rights, a project of the International Organization for the Family. (The school said it gave him "the injunctive relief that he seeks," filing the details under seal.)

But the Clarks weren't satisfied with spending several months haggling with the school and going to court only to let William finish school with a clean academic record. They got new lawyers and amended the lawsuit to demand compensatory and punitive damages for harming William's college prospects, compelling speech and causing him emotional harm.

The family is also seeking a legally enforceable ban on the alleged practices used in the class, such as requiring students to disclose their various "identities" and labeling whites and Christians as "oppressors."

They asked the court to force Nevada's charter school authority, another defendant, to not reauthorize DPAC if it doesn't get rid of the challenged practices.

The Liberty Justice Center took over the Clark case in May. Multiple school districts are forcing students to go through these same "divisive" exercises, senior attorney Daniel Suhr told Just the News. "It's not about learning — it's about being forced into this ideology."

File
Nevada CRT amended complaint.pdf

Suhr was heartened to see the Clark case cited in a recent binding opinion by Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen to the state superintendent of public instruction. It shows that his case is "one of the leading indicators in the country" for the fight against pedagogy informed by critical race theory (CRT), Suhr said.

Knudsen's opinion banned classroom activities "in the name of" CRT and antiracism, such as racial segregation of students "in any capacity" and assigning blame to students on the basis of their race. He said it does not ban the teaching of "fraudulent curriculums" such as the 1619 Project, only activities that perpetuate and celebrate "racial stereotypes and division."

Suhr's group filed a similar suit this month against the Loudoun County School Board in Virginia to prevent the implementation of a bias reporting system. The suburban Washington county is "ground zero for the fight over this ideology," he said.

The suit claims Loudoun students are likely to face investigation for political expression such as support for former President Donald Trump, regardless of where it was made.

It's the first K-12 bias response team he's heard of, Suhr said, and its setup is worrying. Eligibility to serve as "Equity Ambassadors" was originally limited to nonwhite students, and a subsequent revision requires a "demonstrated passion for social justice" and commitment to "amplify the voices of students of color."

Regardless of eligibility, it's a "kangaroo court of handpicked students" with the power to recommend consequences from "naming and shaming" to formal punishments for hate speech and bullying, Suhr said.

The Supreme Court's recent ruling against a school district that punished a cheerleader for a profane rant on social media is "very helpful" to the Loudoun case, he said: The school district can't meet the "particularly high bar" for regulation of off-campus speech, and all nine justices recognized "students' viewpoints on political, social, and religious issues deserve full First Amendment protection."

"A handful of lessons in one class … that he disliked"
The Clarks' amended complaint, filed in May, alleged that when the Democracy Prep network took over the Agassi Academy, another charter school, it implemented a "civics" curriculum that was actually a front to teach students to "unlearn" what their parents taught them.

William's teacher ordered her "wonderful social justice warriors," as she called them, to identify their gender, racial and religious identities and determine which parts have "privilege or oppression" attached. The assignments were graded.

The teacher's materials had a list of oppressors and oppressed, with the former encompassing William's identities of half-white, male and Christian. (Though his mother is black, he is often presumed to be white.)

Students were then put in "breakout" groups to discuss their identities, and if supposedly privileged students refused to do so, that was deemed proof of their privilege. When William pushed back on presentation slides including "reverse racism doesn't exist," the teacher singled out his views for disapproval, chilling class discussion, the suit claims.

View: https://youtu.be/yWOCCSrqvnI
5:55 min

The defendants "ruined William's college prospects, which were built on prior years' hard work and good grades," and "show no intention of altering their program of compelled speech in the future" regardless of their last-minute accommodation for him.

The State Public Charter School Authority bears culpability because it knew or should have known the true nature of DPAC's civics curriculum through its compliance mechanisms, the Clarks claim.

The charter authority sought to extricate itself from the litigation earlier this month, telling the court its alleged failure to oversee DPAC's curriculum is devoid of factual evidence and William's graduation has mooted the case. Considering that DPAC's charter doesn't come up for renewal until 2026, any action by the charter authority "will have no effect" on William.

File
nevada CRT lawsuit dismiss1.pdf

DPAC and the charter network challenged the Clarks' claim that William received a failing grade for refusing to divulge and feel shame about his identities in front of his peers.

He would have received "full credit" if he had written that he "disagreed with the premise" of the exercise, yet he stopped attending and doing coursework altogether, they said in a motion to dismiss. His grade was not the result of "retaliation," they claimed.

The school and network disputed that the Sociology of Change class taught students about oppressors and oppressed identities, but rather "dominant" and "submissive" groups. The Clarks simply disagree with course content, which does not prove he suffered discrimination, and William has no right to privacy in his "personal views."

His teacher stepped in to shut down a discussion that was becoming "disruptive" after William objected, the motion to dismiss claims. The school and network also can't be held liable for one teacher's classroom performance, which is not a "policy."

Rather than suffer a "hostile educational environment," William cited "a handful of lessons in one class … that he disliked" and which explicitly allowed him to avoid further discussions. The school and network cite William's explanation for his refusal to continue in the class — his mother is conservative and was "upset" by the lesson.

File
Nevada CRT lawsuit dismiss2.pdf

All students have the constitutional right to be protected in "who they are and what they say," Suhr, the Clarks' lawyer, told Just the News. The DPAC curriculum was "harsh and judgmental" and contradicted his mother's teaching that everyone is equal regardless of their race.

The Clarks' responses to the motions to dismiss are due next month. While Suhr wouldn't speculate about what kind of damages they'll be seeking, he emphasized the far-reaching consequences of a failing grade during senior year of high school. "It has certainly been an emotional trial on this family."

Asked how schools can teach kids about the unpleasant parts of American history without creating an inquisition, Suhr said they need to promote critical thinking that is "developmentally" appropriate for a given age group.

But when schools label certain identities as oppressive and students fear being reported for sharing their views, "honest conversations" are impossible.

Jason Whitlock: Dear Black America, We Are Being Lied To...

MONDAY, JUN 28, 2021 - 09:30 PM
Authored by Jason Whitlock via TheBlaze.com, (emphasis ours)

Dear Black People:

We are being lied to and set up. The mainstream media, Democratic politicians, social justice activists, and perhaps even your church pastor have led you to believe America is in the midst of a racial conflict similar to the Civil War and the civil rights movement.

They have pitted us against the Proud Boys, the KKK, rural militia groups, and Trump supporters in a made-for-TV race war. Just five years after Barack Obama completed two terms as president of the United States, we're supposed to believe America has been overrun by violent white supremacists determined to reinstate segregation, Jim Crow laws, and maybe even slavery.

Evidence of this massive wave of 1920s-style bigotry amounts to three things:
1) Republicans want all voters to show a government-issued ID;
2) On January 6, unarmed Trump supporters crashed the Capitol and took pictures inside Nancy Pelosi's office;
3) Across the nation, police kill on average 250 black men and 450 white men per year.
Oh, I almost forgot. There's a fourth piece of evidence. Colin Kaepernick failed to land a job as a starting quarterback after pissing off a large segment of football fans by taking a knee during the national anthem.

Those are the main smoking guns proving that white supremacy is the most dangerous domestic threat America faces. George Floyd, a habitual criminal and drug addict, is the Crispus Attucks of this raging race war. He is our rallying cry and hero.

It's a setup. We're being used as decoys and distractions in a war that has nothing to do with race.

The real war is about global power and the future of America's system of government.
This country's elite, global citizens, and corporations prefer communism over capitalism and democracy. They prefer China's system over our system.

America has been the world's leader in racial progress and fairness. The mainstream media are not allowed to explain this to you. Advertisers, aka major corporations, will no longer support media outlets that back our current democratic and capitalistic systems of governance.

You say, what about Fox News? Turn it on. It's filled with a bunch of MyPillow and wounded soldier commercials. America's big, global corporations, the ones looking to improve their market share in China, are not financially supporting Fox News. The most popular voices at Fox News dislike China.

The faux race war the mainstream media have promoted is a tool being used to convince you and non-black Americans that our system of government has been a giant failure.

They want you to believe that a great reset is necessary to achieve fairness.

The reset is communism, which starts with the gateway drug of socialism and ends in full-blown Marxism. China is run by the Communist Chinese Party. Communism has no respect for individual freedom or religion of any kind. Communism has no tolerance for political dissent.

Your religion and free speech will not survive the reset. Communism is racial oppression's best friend. When a nation is stripped of religious faith and free speech, few people have the courage to defend the rights of minorities. The elites cozying up to China do not care about you. They are aware of how despicably China treats black people. They are aware of how China squashes dissent.

Do your own research on communism and what it stamps out and how it oppresses. Don't take my word.

You might be wondering why Oprah Winfrey or LeBron James or some other super popular black celebrity isn't telling you what I am. They're global elites. The reset won't hurt them or their loved ones. Communism favors wealthy elites far more than capitalism and democracy do. Oprah, LeBron, and the other uber-wealthy black tokens will thrive under socialism and communism.

You won't. Unless you're a 6'6" basketball star or some other black entertainer capable of entertaining the people in power. That's a tiny percentage of black people.

Why won't your favorite white cable newsman or newswoman tell you what I'm telling you? Rachel Maddow, Anderson Cooper, Chris Cuomo, Joe Scarborough, aren't they our allies? No. They're not. They're political lobbyists working on behalf of the corporations and politicians pushing the reset.

OK. What about me? You might think I'm a political partisan working on behalf of conservative Republicans. That is certainly how I've been painted by left-leaning media outlets and social media platforms. And I'm now partnered with Blaze Media, a platform that leans right.

Judge my career. I have been at this for more than 30 years. I have been equally despised by the left and the right. I have publicly feuded with Bill O'Reilly and Keith Olbermann. I've been a guest on their old Fox News and MSNBC shows.

I've worked and/or written for ESPN, Fox Sports, the Huffington Post, Playboy Magazine, the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal. I spent years bashing Sarah Palin.

I don't play for any political team. I've never voted. I go wherever I believe I can speak, follow, and write the truth. The truth I believe the most is that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior.

I believe Jesus is under attack. That's why I'm at Blaze Media. You can't defend Jesus at corporate media outlets. Advertisers won't allow it. You can discuss the religion of racism every day at ESPN, CNN, MSNBC, and even Fox Sports. But it's taboo to discuss the cure for racism — Jesus — on those platforms.

I'm not saying any of this because there's a big paycheck for black men espousing my views. The money for black broadcasters and journalists is connected to preaching the race-bait religion.

Let me be clear. I'm not broke by any stretch. I've earned and saved a substantial sum of money. But I've bypassed far more money than I've earned with the choice I've made to follow the truth wherever it leads and my refusal to support the racial groupthink dictated by global elites.

My faith won't allow me to jump on board with the lunacy, racism, and sacrilege of Black Lives Matter, a movement founded by three lesbian self-admitted trained Marxists. BLM is an atheist movement in support of LGBTQ issues and the reshaping of America into a communist country. BLM is part of the deception.

Black people tell me all the time: "I don't support the BLM organization, but I support the slogan and sentiment."

Let me translate that. You despise the devil's tree but love the fruit it produces. That's some Don Lemon-Lori Lightfoot-Van Jones-Colin Kaepernick level of hypocrisy. You know, all the Malcolm X-wannabe, anti-white radicals in relationships with white partners. They hate the white tree but can't live without the white fruit.

We have to stop letting everyone use us. We're being played. We're all being played, black and white working-class people. It's all a giant setup. Look at what they did to Trump supporters. They were manipulated into storming the Capitol, and then the corporate media portrayed it as a bloody, violent KKK rally intended to overthrow democracy. The so-called "insurrection" is an excuse for the government to seize more power and crush dissent.

We, black people, have been convinced the crushing of working-class white people is good for us.

It's not. Working-class white people, Christian white people, are our true allies, not the elites. We can't see that because of the made-for-TV hyper-focus on racial conflict.

The defunding and demoralizing of police are tactics deployed to increase violence in major cities. Local media outlets are focusing on this rise in crime, national media outlets have followed suit, and social media platforms are generating viral videos exposing the crime wave.

Guess who are the stars of this content. Black perpetrators.

It's all a massive setup. The stirring of racial animus between Obama worshippers and Trump worshippers is orchestrated by billionaire elites, executed by trained Marxists, promoted by millionaire influencers in the media, sports, and entertainment worlds, and co-signed by religious leaders pursuing popularity.
Black America, print this letter and share it with family, friends, co-workers, and, most importantly, your pastor.

My critics will tell you: "Oh, Jason Whitlock is a sellout. He hates black people."

That's laughable. It's part of the deception. I despise the people deceiving us, manipulating us to participate in a racial clash that will be used to destroy the religious and individual freedoms that liberated us.

There's a reason black and brown people across the globe fight to get into this country and excel when they do. They love the American tree and the fruit it produces.

General Milley Leads the Enemy Within
Championing critical race theory, undermining the military.

Tue Jun 29, 2021
Daniel Greenfield

[Editors' note: To sign the Freedom Center's petitions to remove Admiral Michael Gilday and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin from their positions, CLICK HERE and HERE.]

Daniel Greenfield, a Shillman Journalism Fellow at the Freedom Center, is an investigative journalist and writer focusing on the radical Left and Islamic terrorism.

As the Black Lives Matter riots torched the country, Gen. Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, insisted that the violent assaults threatening the nation’s capital were merely protests, and berated Trump’s adviser Stephen Miller who warned, “These cities are burning”.

After the White House came under attack and a BLM mob set fire to the gatehouse, Trump aides, at the request of the president, drafted a document invoking the Insurrection Act that would have ended the nationwide reign of Democrat terror by putting troops on the street.

Milley vocally rejected the idea, claiming that the violent riots were just a protest, and it wasn’t appropriate for the military to be involved in political issues. Of course Eisenhower had sent the troops into Little Rock to integrate the schools, Kennedy had sent them to Mississippi to do the same, and George H.W. Bush had sent them to Los Angeles to put down the Rodney King riots.

After accompanying President Trump to Lafayette Square, where Black Lives Matter rioters had tried to set the ‘Church of the Presidents’ on fire, Milley quickly withered under media pressure.

"I should not have been there," Milley recited in an apology video and defended the BLM-Antifa insurrections as responses to the "centuries of injustice toward African Americans."

After scores of cities had been torched, statues pulled down, and hundreds of police officers wounded at the hands of racist Marxist hate groups, Milley argued that, "we should all be proud that the vast majority of protests have been peaceful."

American POWs in Vietnam had held out under torture rather than record Marxist confession videos like the one that Milley made for the media to protect his career.

But Milley didn’t just stand down in the face of the BLM race riots, he joined the move to divide and weaken the military by bringing the Black Lives Matter curriculum of anti-white and anti-American hate into its ranks. Dividing American soldiers by race has a crippling effect on unit cohesion and general morale, it weakens our national security in the face of the threats from Communist China and our other aggressive enemies, Russia and Iran..

As the summer riots engulfed over 200 American cities, Milley joined the push for diversity and inclusion. He demanded that Fort Bragg and Fort Hood, named after Confederate generals, have their names changed. Milley had never brought this up when he was the commander of Army Forces Command at Fort Bragg and a Fort Hood commanding general, but it wasn’t politically expedient then.

And Milley’s career ranks first while his country comes last.

By the fall, Milley was talking about fighting “unconscious” bias in the military – the phantom enemy invented by Critical Race Theorists and the anti-American left to attack white people generally and the American heritage in particular.

Milley’s routine paid off and while there had been talk among Biden’s people about removing him, he stayed on instead, and is now telling Biden and the Democrats what they want to hear.

At a House Armed Services Committee hearing, Rep. Houlahan, a Democrat from Pennsylvania, called on Milley to defend the imposition of critical race theory on the military
Milley was all too ready and launched into a prepared speech in which he lied that critical race theory was studying "laws in the United States, antebellum laws prior to the Civil War that led to a power differential with African-Americans that were three quarters of a human being when this country was formed."

This was mind-boggling ignorance on the part of a U.S. general, whom the New York Times had previously praised as an “an avid student of history”, and whom the Associated Press had promoted as a “Princeton-educated history buff”, since the three-fifths compromise had nothing to do with race and everything to do with curtailing the power of the slavocracy.

But in the current corrupt media atmosphere, racist ignorance coming from the left is treated as academic wisdom, and here Milley demonstrated that his knowledge of the most basic elements of American history consisted of ignorant smears from the New York Times’ 1619 Project.

Milley, the “avid student of history”, was as much a hoax as the rest of his manufactured image.

The great “history buff” either didn’t know anything about American history, or he was willing to smear America and defame her past in order to score points with his new leftist bosses.

Once again Milley was undermining America’s security to appease his left-wing overseers.

“I’ve read Karl Marx. I’ve read Lenin. That doesn’t make me a communist,” Milley rambled in his pathetic defense of critical race theory.

American officers studied Marx and Lenin to defeat Communism, not to adopt it. But Milley is overseeing a military that is adopting Marxism on his orders through critical race theory.

Is Milley committed to defeating critical race theory or to embracing it? His comments at the hearing left no doubt as to which side he had chosen in the battle against America.

Milley declared, “I want to understand white rage and I’m white, and I want to understand it”.

The only people who talk that way are academics and white-hating Black Lives Matter Marxists.

President Trump picked Milley because he appeared to be a salt-of-the-earth military man who seemed to share his view of the world. In fact, he was a time-serving opportunist, more committed to advancing his career than defending his country.

Quite a few people have been fooled by Milley who looks like a Hollywood director's idea of a general, but is actually, a rarity, the second Army boss to have come through the Ivy League.

Milley started out at Belmont Hill School, a posh private school with elite alumni, which these days promotes Black Lives Matter and the low-grade racism of Ibram X. Kendi. He went on to be a Princeton political science 'longhair', and picked up a master’s degree in international relations from Columbia. Milley’s militant defense of woke racism in the form of critical race theory was unsurprising because despite his appearance he has the perfect background for it.

The future general had intended to join the military for only four years to “to give meaning to Princeton in the nation’s service”. And Princeton’s left-wing ideology still comes out ahead of the military oath to defend the Constitution and the country it created.

Obama, determined to politicize the military and the intelligence services, picked the Ivy League officer over the heads of more qualified and patriotic senior officers.

As an article noted at the time, "Milley’s rise to top Army officer came quickly. He is commander of U.S. Forces Command, a post he’s held only since last August.

Previously, for a little more than one year he was the deputy commander of the Afghanistan war.”

Revealingly, Ash Carter, Obama's Secretary of Defense, touted Milley as a "statesman" with "the intellect and vision to lead change throughout the Army". That’s what he’s still doing.

Milley wasn’t there to win wars, but to be a “statesman” and to transform the Army.

Army Ivy League officers love to talk about change for its own sake and Milley rose through the ranks by borrowing Silicon Valley’s rhetoric of disrupting everything. Especially the military.

Ground war is “on the cusp of fundamental change”, he declared in 2016. Wars of the future were coming. “We must be open minded to that change. We may not have divisions or corps, tanks or Bradleys. We don’t know.” Five years later, the Taliban are overrunning Afghanistan using the same raiding tactics that local fighters had been employing for thousands of years.

Meanwhile, Milley’s big achievement is the Army Futures Command in Austin whose people look and sound like the local dot com startup culture in the lefty hipster city.

The defeat in Afghanistan and the ‘wokening’ of the military have a common origin in Ivy League officers like Milley whose enthusiasm for “fundamental change” blinded them to the complete failure of Obama’s appeasement policies and the infiltration of the armed forces by the anti-American Left.

America and its soldiers have been failed and betrayed on the battlefield by academic officers whose sympathies were with the leftist insurgents taking over the country at home, and who saw the war in Afghanistan as a laboratory for demonstrating Obama’s exciting new ideas.

Milley is not the worst of them. He's the successor to even more craven generals like Stanley McChrystal, but he occupies his position at a crucial time when the survival of the United States military is at stake. And the enemy isn’t in Afghanistan: it’s inside America.

Milley has not only failed to fight this enemy, he has surrendered and joined their Marxist cause.

After losing Afghanistan, Milley is overseeing the defeat of America.

"The conditions are set for winning this war," Milley had asserted back when he was heading up NATO’s ISAF Joint Command under Obama.

“I don't think anyone has died in vain, per se,” he recently replied when he was asked if American soldiers in Afghanistan had died in vain.

The mothers of all the men who had died in Afghanistan were no doubt reassured, per se.

Milley has spent his career telling politicians what they want to hear because it was good for his career. His endorsement of the divisive racism of critical race theory shows that there are no limits to what he will support as long as it’s good for his career. But this time the cost may not just be thousands of dead Americans abroad, but a defenseless nation at home.

WATCH: Illinois father who went viral after criticizing CRT has message for his liberal haters

JUN. 28, 2021 8:40 PM BY THE RIGHT SCOOP15 COMMENTS

Ty Smith, an Illinois father who we all got to watch criticize CRT and make the point that white people never oppressed him and kept him from getting two medical degrees, was Fox Business today and was asked to respond to his liberal critics.

Here’s the short version:
Rumble video on website 2:03 min

And here’s the full interview (which isn’t really that long):

View: https://youtu.be/oxTwn0jQ-fg
4:15 min

Smith essentially suggested that he wasn’t bothered in the slightest by his liberal haters, and that they had nothing to say to him. But notes that his two medical degrees became the hot topic on the far left and that they essentially called him a fraud and a Republican puppet:
What gets me is that as soon as I said that, right, that seemed to have been the focus. …But I told, whoever these – I guess you can call them the far left – it seems like they just wanted to focus on that. So now I have no degrees. I don’t have a wife. I don’t have any sons. I’m not a musician. I’m not a minister. I’m some actor that was placed there by the Republican Party and it turns out that I’m Candace Owen’s brother.
LOL! You really have to watch that part because it’s way better on video.

Biden Administration’s New ‘Woke’ Corporate Disclosure Rules Will Cost Companies Billions, Experts Warn

Who knew virtue-signaling could be so expensive?

Under the Biden administration’s leadership, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has proposed new “woke” corporate disclosure rules. A new form of social-justice-based financial regulation, the federal agency’s rules would mandate that companies track, report, and disclose a wide array of data on issues such as climate change emissions and diversity.

This might poll well or look nice at first glance. But like any complex federal regulation, the woke reporting rules will have many unintended consequences—namely, they’ll cost businesses billions.

“Business groups are trying to calculate just how much money public companies might have to shell out to comply with the Securities and Exchange Commission’s planned new ‘woke’ corporate disclosure rules, and initial estimates aren’t pretty,” Fox Business reports. “While no exact estimate can be determined, the SEC’s new disclosure mandates involving everything from the environment to board diversity is likely to cost U.S. public companies well into the billions of dollars.”

The goal of the SEC regulation is to promote environmentalism and racial equality, with regulators likely having good intentions. But they are either unable or unwilling to foresee the adverse consequences that could accompany this virtue-signaling effort.

Heritage Foundation senior fellow David R. Burton, a specialist in tax and financial regulation, laid out the many ways these rules will likely backfire in a letter to the SEC.

He agreed that “requiring all public companies to develop climate modeling expertise, the ability to make macroeconomic projections based on these models and then make firm-specific economic assessments based on these climate and economic models will be expensive,” likely costing billions.

The result?

“These expenses would harm investors by reducing shareholder returns,” Burton explained. This means it’s not just Big Business, but the millions of Americans who invest in the stock market or rely on it for their retirement, who could bear the costs.

Burton further warns that these woke disclosure rules would result in “the creation of a new compliance eco-system and pro-complexity lobby composed of the economists, accountants, attorneys and compliance officers that live off of [regulatory compliance].” Simply put, they would even further entrap firms into wasting money on red tape compliance costs.

The Heritage expert also added that the rules would fuel a huge rise in costly litigation.

Meanwhile, it’s unclear what, if anything, the SEC’s woke disclosure mandates would accomplish—beyond merely virtue-signaling, of course.

"This whole ESG thing is just one giant waste of time and money," said Chris Whalen, chief of Whalen Global Advisors. "It’s just a big show that only benefits the consultants and the lawyers who are making money off of this.”

Tom Cotton Brings the 'Who's Tougher on Crime' Argument Democrats Don't Want to Have

By Sister Toldjah | Jun 28, 2021 4:30 PM ET

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) is not one to suffer fools gladly, and that is especially true on the issue of which political party is tougher on crime.

Democrats are now laughably trying to shake their well-earned reputations as proponents of defunding the police off on Republicans. Biden advisor Cedric Richmond said yesterday that “when [Democrats] were in Congress last year trying to pass an emergency rescue plan for cities that were cash-strapped and laying off police, it was the Republicans who objected to it. … They defunded the police.” In today’s White House press briefing, press secretary Jen Psaki endorsed the spin after being questioned by Fox News reporter Peter Doocy, signaling that’s the official direction the Biden administration is taking the argument.

Cotton appeared on Mark Levin’s “Life, Liberty, and Levin” program over the weekend, and when asked about the speech President Biden gave Wednesday announcing gun control initiatives to fight rising violent crime, the Arkansas Senator laid out the “who’s tougher on crime” argument that Democrats absolutely do not want to have going into the 2022 midterms, especially considering how badly the argument hurt House Democrats last fall. One of his points was to emphasize how Democrats were on board with defunding the police:
“Look, it’s no mystery what causes this crime wave. Now, the Democrats like to say, oh, it was the pandemic and people are lonely and isolated and unemployed. Mark, the pandemic is over. And other countries face the pandemic as well. They didn’t see a huge spike in murders and assaults and other crimes.

I can tell you exactly why we have this crime wave. First, it’s because Democrats and unfortunately, some Republicans have been letting serious criminals out of jail. Second, is because radical prosecutors and governors refusing to send serious criminals to prison in the first place.

And third, Democrats for more than a year now have been attacking the police, calling for defunding the police or abolishing the police, discouraging them from vigorously doing jobs to keep communities safe.”
Cotton then noted that all “those factors together” are proof that “it’s not a surprise” we’re “seeing a Biden crime wave” in America. He then went on to remind people that Biden apologized in so many words during his presidential campaign for his 1994 “tough on crime” bill and had basically done a 180, going MIA in the summer of 2020 as so-called “peaceful BLM protesters” ravaged parts of Democrat-run cities with “protests” that quickly turned violent. He also pointed out that Kamala Harris posted support last year for a bail fund that bailed out Minneapolis rioters, some of who had violent histories. She was chosen as Biden’s veep nominee two months later.

The proof, of course, is in the receipts, which Cotton also brought both before and after catching wind of Psaki’s ridiculous response to Doocy during today’s press briefing:

Further, the campaign ads for Republicans are just writing themselves at this point:

1624952026919.png

As I said before, while the Biden administration’s sudden push to tie “defund the police” efforts to Republicans is cute, it’s won’t work. And if they keep it up they’ll find this debate revived all over again and on full blast heading into the 2022 midterms, where Republicans like Cotton, Sen. Ted Cruz (Texas), and others will be more than happy to remind voters as to just which party it is that has turned their backs on the men and women who help keep our communities safe, starting at the local level with Democrat-run city councils and working all the way up to POTUS.

Stop Gaslighting Parents On Critical Race Theory

TUESDAY, JUN 29, 2021 - 05:25 PM
Authored by Max Eden via RealClear Policy,

Proponents of Critical Race Theory are resorting to semantic gaslighting to defend a dogma that most Americans instinctively abhor.
Will & Deni McIntyre / Getty Images

Some pundits claim that CRT is exclusively a school of thought taught in legal academia. On her MSNBC show, Joy Reid claimed that “law school is really the only place it is taught. NBC has looked into everywhere.” Former Lincoln Project co-founder George Conway tweeted: “I don’t think critical legal studies should be taught in elementary schools, and I am ready to die on that hill[.]”

Some journalists, informed by other “experts,” contend that CRT is synonymous with “talking about racism.” NPR defined CRT as “teaching about the effects of racism”; the New York Times called it “classroom discussion of race, racism.” NBC News labeled it the “academic study of racism’s pervasive impact.”

These definitions are, of course, mutually exclusive. But they both serve to paint parents into a corner. If CRT is defined just as talking about racism, then parental objections to it must be rooted in racism. If CRT is defined just as a thesis discussed in law schools, then parental objections to it must be rooted in ignorance.

There’s no doubt that CRT has become a politicized term. Manhattan Institute senior fellow Chris Rufo forthrightly explained his strategy on this issue as follows: “The goal is to have the public read something crazy in the newspaper and immediately think ‘critical race theory.’ We have decodified the term and will recodify it to annex the entire range of cultural constructions that are unpopular with Americans.”

Liberal writer Freddie DeBoer has argued that CRT is now a “completely floating signifier.” Conservatives label a host of things they don’t like as CRT. Liberals, then, “feel compelled to defend CRT because conservatives attack it,” and defend it by claiming that it has nothing to do with any of the bad things conservatives say.

But words have meaning. Parents and policymakers should understand CRT not as conservatives or liberals define it, but as it defines itself. Here’s a definition from a 2001 book, Critical Race Theory: An Introduction by Richard Delgado and Jean Stefanic, widely credited as key architects of CRT:

The critical race theory (CRT) movement is a collection of activists and scholars interested in studying and transforming the relationship among race, racism, and power. The movement considers many of the same issues that conventional civil rights and ethnic studies discourses take up, but places them in a broader perspective that includes economics, history, context, group- and self-interest, and even feelings and the unconscious. Unlike traditional civil rights, which embraces incrementalism and step-by-step progress, critical race theory questions the very foundations of the liberal order, including equality theory, legal reasoning, Enlightenment rationalism, and neutral principles of constitutional law.

Although CRT began as a movement in the law, it has rapidly spread beyond that discipline. Today, many in the field of education consider themselves critical race theorists who use CRT’s ideas to understand issues of school discipline and hierarchy, tracking, controversies over curriculum and history, and IQ and achievement testing. Political scientists ponder voting strategies coined by critical race theorists. Ethnic studies courses often include a unit on critical race theory, and American studies departments teach material on critical white students developed by CRT writers. Unlike some academic disciplines, critical race theory contains an activist dimension. It not only tries to understand our social situation, but to change it. (Emphases added.)

Several points here deserve restatement: CRT defines itself in opposition to traditional civil rights and even Enlightenment rationalism. It defines itself not simply as a “Theory,” but also as movement of activists who seek to transform society. Many educators consider themselves to by Critical Race Theorists, and CRT ideology has had a profound impact on a wide range of education policy and pedagogical issues.

Anybody who tries to peddle the line that CRT is just “talking about racism” is either gaslighting or being gaslit themselves. And anyone who maintains that CRT is simply an academic theory discussed in law school, at best, is ignorant of what CRT really is.

By contrast, parent intuitions about CRT are spot on. Given that CRT informs so many aspects of education policy and pedagogy, the real crux of the issue for parents is, as Andrew Sullivan adroitly put it, “not teaching about critical race theory; it is teaching in critical race theory.” (Emphases in original.)

Public schools may be commonly assigning Critical Race Theorists like Kimberlé Crenshaw. But they have embraced a host of policies and practices that are rooted in Critical Race Theory. When parents hear terms like: “Equity,” “Anti-Racism,” “Cultural Competence,” “Culturally Responsive Education,” “Restorative Justice,” “Ethnic Studies,” “Equitable Math,” “Whiteness,” they would be fundamentally correct to go to a school board meeting and complain about Critical Race Theory. All of these practices are influenced by and have the same politicized purpose as CRT, which – to reiterate – defines itself not merely as a “theory” but also as an activist practice.

School boards that are implementing CRT-infused programming should not follow the media’s lead and gaslight parents by claiming that they are “not teaching CRT” on the grounds that they are not assigning academic journal articles by self-avowed Critical Race Theorists. Because the more parents look into it, the more may realize that although their schools might not assign canonical CRT academic journal article, they are teaching “in” CRT.

That will further heighten alienation and distrust between schools and families – alienation and distrust that is unavoidable so long as schools educate students through a “lens” intended to train children to oppose the foundations of our liberal order.

George Orwell’s 1984 Has Become a Blueprint for Our Dystopian Reality

By John W. Whitehead & Nisha Whitehead
June 28, 2021
John Whitehead

“If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face—for ever.” George Orwell, 1984
Tread cautiously: the fiction of George Orwell (Jun. 25, 1903-Jan. 21, 1950) has become an operation manual for the omnipresent, modern-day surveillance state.

It’s been more than 70 years since Orwell—dying, beset by fever and bloody coughing fits, and driven to warn against the rise of a society in which rampant abuse of power and mass manipulation are the norm—depicted the ominous rise of ubiquitous technology, fascism and totalitarianism in 1984.

Who could have predicted that so many years after Orwell typed the final words to his dystopian novel, “He loved Big Brother,” we would come to love Big Brother.
“To the future or to the past, to a time when thought is free, when men are different from one another and do not live alone— to a time when truth exists and what is done cannot be undone: From the age of uniformity, from the age of solitude, from the age of Big Brother, from the age of doublethink — greetings!”—George Orwell
1984 portrays a global society of total control in which people are not allowed to have thoughts that in any way disagree with the corporate state. There is no personal freedom, and advanced technology has become the driving force behind a surveillance-driven society. Snitches and cameras are everywhere.

People are subject to the Thought Police, who deal with anyone guilty of thought crimes. The government, or “Party,” is headed by Big Brother who appears on posters everywhere with the words: “Big Brother is watching you.”

We have arrived, way ahead of schedule, into the dystopian future dreamed up by not only Orwell but also such fiction writers as Aldous Huxley, Margaret Atwood and Philip K. Dick.
“If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear.”―George Orwell
Much like Orwell’s Big Brother in 1984, the government and its corporate spies now watch our every move. Much like Huxley’s A Brave New World, we are churning out a society of watchers who “have their liberties taken away from them, but … rather enjoy it, because they [are] distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda or brainwashing.” Much like Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale, the populace is now taught to “know their place and their duties, to understand that they have no real rights but will be protected up to a point if they conform, and to think so poorly of themselves that they will accept their assigned fate and not rebel or run away.”

And in keeping with Philip K. Dick’s darkly prophetic vision of a dystopian police state—which became the basis for Steven Spielberg’s futuristic thriller Minority Report—we are now trapped in a world in which the government is all-seeing, all-knowing and all-powerful, and if you dare to step out of line, dark-clad police SWAT teams and pre-crime units will crack a few skulls to bring the populace under control.

What once seemed futuristic no longer occupies the realm of science fiction.

Incredibly, as the various nascent technologies employed and shared by the government and corporations alike—facial recognition, iris scanners, massive databases, behavior prediction software, and so on—are incorporated into a complex, interwoven cyber network aimed at tracking our movements, predicting our thoughts and controlling our behavior, the dystopian visions of past writers is fast becoming our reality.

Our world is characterized by widespread surveillance, behavior prediction technologies, data mining, fusion centers, driverless cars, voice-controlled homes, facial recognition systems, cybugs and drones, and predictive policing (pre-crime) aimed at capturing would-be criminals before they can do any damage.

Surveillance cameras are everywhere. Government agents listen in on our telephone calls and read our emails. Political correctness—a philosophy that discourages diversity—has become a guiding principle of modern society.
“People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.”―George Orwell
The courts have shredded the Fourth Amendment’s protections against unreasonable searches and seizures. In fact, SWAT teams battering down doors without search warrants and FBI agents acting as a secret police that investigate dissenting citizens are common occurrences in contemporary America. And bodily privacy and integrity have been utterly eviscerated by a prevailing view that Americans have no rights over what happens to their bodies during an encounter with government officials, who are allowed to search, seize, strip, scan, spy on, probe, pat down, taser, and arrest any individual at any time and for the slightest provocation.
“The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.”―George Orwell, Animal Farm
We are increasingly ruled by multi-corporations wedded to the police state.

What many fail to realize is that the government is not operating alone. It cannot. The government requires an accomplice. Thus, the increasingly complex security needs of the massive federal government, especially in the areas of defense, surveillance and data management, have been met within the corporate sector, which has shown itself to be a powerful ally that both depends on and feeds the growth of governmental overreach.

In fact, Big Tech wedded to Big Government has become Big Brother, and we are now ruled by the Corporate Elite whose tentacles have spread worldwide. The government now has at its disposal technological arsenals so sophisticated and invasive as to render any constitutional protections null and void. Spearheaded by the NSA, which has shown itself to care little to nothing for constitutional limits or privacy, the “security/industrial complex”—a marriage of government, military and corporate interests aimed at keeping Americans under constant surveillance—has come to dominate the government and our lives.

Money, power, control. There is no shortage of motives fueling the convergence of mega-corporations and government. But who is paying the price? The American people, of course.

Orwell understood what many Americans are still struggling to come to terms with: that there is no such thing as a government organized for the good of the people. Even the best intentions among those in government inevitably give way to the desire to maintain power and control over the citizenry at all costs.
“The further a society drifts from truth the more it will hate those who speak it.” ― George Orwell
Even our ability to speak and think freely is being regulated.

In totalitarian regimes—a.k.a. police states—where conformity and compliance are enforced at the end of a loaded gun, the government dictates what words can and cannot be used. In countries where the police state hides behind a benevolent mask and disguises itself as tolerance, the citizens censor themselves, policing their words and thoughts to conform to the dictates of the mass mind.

Dystopian literature shows what happens when the populace is transformed into mindless automatons.

In Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451, reading is banned and books are burned in order to suppress dissenting ideas, while televised entertainment is used to anesthetize the populace and render them easily pacified, distracted and controlled.

In Huxley’s Brave New World, serious literature, scientific thinking and experimentation are banned as subversive, while critical thinking is discouraged through the use of conditioning, social taboos and inferior education. Likewise, expressions of individuality, independence and morality are viewed as vulgar and abnormal.

In my debut novel The Erik Blair Diaries, the dystopian future that George Orwell predicted for 1984 has finally arrived, 100 years late and ten times as brutal. In this post-apocalyptic world where everyone marches to the beat of the same drummer and words like “freedom” are taboo, Erik Blair—Orwell’s descendant and unwitting heir to his legacy—isn’t volunteering to be anyone’s hero.

Unfortunately, life doesn’t always go according to plan. To save all that he loves, Orwell will have to travel between his future self and the past.

And in Orwell’s 1984, Big Brother does away with all undesirable and unnecessary words and meanings, even going so far as to routinely rewrite history and punish “thoughtcrimes.” Orwell’s Big Brother relies on Newspeak to eliminate undesirable words, strip such words as remained of unorthodox meanings and make independent, non-government-approved thought altogether unnecessary.

Where we stand now is at the juncture of OldSpeak (where words have meanings, and ideas can be dangerous) and Newspeak (where only that which is “safe” and “accepted” by the majority is permitted). The power elite has made their intentions clear: they will pursue and prosecute any and all words, thoughts and expressions that challenge their authority.

This is the final link in the police state chain.
“Until they became conscious they will never rebel, and until after they have rebelled they cannot become conscious.”—George Orwell
Having been reduced to a cowering citizenry—mute in the face of elected officials who refuse to represent us, helpless in the face of police brutality, powerless in the face of militarized tactics and technology that treat us like enemy combatants on a battlefield, and naked in the face of government surveillance that sees and hears all—we have nowhere left to go.

We have, so to speak, gone from being a nation where privacy is king to one where nothing is safe from the prying eyes of government.
“Big Brother is Watching You.”―George Orwell
Wherever you go and whatever you do, you are now being watched, especially if you leave behind an electronic footprint. When you use your cell phone, you leave a record of when the call was placed, who you called, how long it lasted and even where you were at the time. When you use your ATM card, you leave a record of where and when you used the card. There is even a video camera at most locations equipped with facial recognition software. When you use a cell phone or drive a car enabled with GPS, you can be tracked by satellite. Such information is shared with government agents, including local police. And all of this once-private information about your consumer habits, your whereabouts and your activities is now being fed to the government.

The government has nearly inexhaustible resources when it comes to tracking our movements, from electronic wiretapping devices, traffic cameras and biometrics to radio-frequency identification cards, satellites and Internet surveillance.

In such a climate, everyone is a suspect. And you’re guilty until you can prove yourself innocent. To underscore this shift in how the government now views its citizens, the FBI uses its wide-ranging authority to investigate individuals or groups, regardless of whether they are suspected of criminal activity.
“Nothing was your own except the few cubic centimetres inside your skull.” ― George Orwell
Here’s what a lot of people fail to understand, however: it’s not just what you say or do that is being monitored, but how you think that is being tracked and targeted. We’ve already seen this play out on the state and federal level with hate crime legislation that cracks down on so-called “hateful” thoughts and expression, encourages self-censoring and reduces free debate on various subject matter.

Say hello to the new Thought Police.

Total Internet surveillance by the Corporate State, as omnipresent as God, is used by the government to predict and, more importantly, control the populace, and it’s not as far-fetched as you might think. For example, the NSA has been working on an artificial intelligence system designed to anticipate your every move. Aquaint (the acronym stands for Advanced QUestion Answering for INTelligence) has been designed to detect patterns and predict behavior.

No information is sacred or spared.

Everything from cell phone recordings and logs, to emails, to text messages, to personal information posted on social networking sites, to credit card statements, to library circulation records, to credit card histories, etc., is collected by the NSA and shared freely with its agents in crime: the CIA, FBI and DHS.

What we are witnessing, in the so-called name of security and efficiency, is the creation of a new class system comprised of the watched (average Americans such as you and me) and the watchers (government bureaucrats, technicians and private corporations).

Clearly, the age of privacy in America is at an end.

So where does that leave us?

We now find ourselves in the unenviable position of being monitored, managed and controlled by our technology, which answers not to us but to our government and corporate rulers. This is the fact-is-stranger-than-fiction lesson that is being pounded into us on a daily basis.

It won’t be long before we find ourselves looking back on the past with longing, back to an age where we could speak to whom we wanted, buy what we wanted, think what we wanted without those thoughts, words and activities being tracked, processed and stored by corporate giants such as Google, sold to government agencies such as the NSA and CIA, and used against us by militarized police with their army of futuristic technologies.

To be an individual today, to not conform, to have even a shred of privacy, and to live beyond the reach of the government’s roaming eyes and technological spies, one must not only be a rebel but rebel.

Even when you rebel and take your stand, there is rarely a happy ending awaiting you. You are rendered an outlaw. Just look at what happened to Julian Assange.

So how do you survive in the American surveillance state?

We’re running out of options.

Whether you’re dealing with fact or fiction, as I make clear in Battlefield America: The War on the American People and in my new novel The Erik Blair Diaries, we’ll soon have to choose between self-indulgence (the bread-and-circus distractions offered up by the news media, politicians, sports conglomerates, entertainment industry, etc.) and self-preservation in the form of renewed vigilance about threats to our freedoms and active engagement in self-governance.

The notorious Marjorie Taylor Greene joined Steve Bannon Tuesday morning on The War Room. MTG was fired up over The National Children’s Museum in Washington DC.

The National Children’s Museum was promoting racist critical race theory on their website until MTG pointed it out and promised to withdraw congressional funding from the organization. So the museum took down the racist material.

But after the museum was funded by congress they reposted the material.

Steven and Marjorie told the War Room audience to reach out to the National Children’s Museum and voice their outrage about the racist material.

They crashed the museum website!
