I have had partridge hit the window and stun themselves.I went outside on sisters patio. Dayum, there's a robin on the concrete. It's stunned, not dead. I picked it up, set on the table. Got to pet it a little. Carried it to the sunshine. Let it warm up, it flew off. It's really cold here, but I don't know an explanation for it's behavior. How many people get to hold a wild bird? Wow!
cpl yrs back I heard the smack on the window.
I went out to see.
expecting a partridge.
it was a northern goshawk.
beautiful bird.
He was feeling presidential (dazed and confused)
so I pict him up and put him in a spot to recover.
I was wary of his beak.
I should have been concerned with his talons,
they were like fish hooks.
curved and VERY sharp.
he stabbed my fingers a cpl times, but not on purpose.
just a reaction of being pict up.
I watched him from the window and he eventually got his shyt together and flew away.
2 crows had been harassing him and he hit the window.
all my pics of him are on a dead computer.
