Has No Life - Lives on TB
My SIL recovered from cancer, but had permanent damage from radiation and chemo, including congestive heart failure.
Her doctor recommended she get vaxxed. So she did. Within 48 hours, she was in the ER with major breathing problems. She spent several days in the hospital with that. She got out and short time later, she got the second jab.
That is when all hell broke loose. She soon began internal bleeding. They did every imaging test imaginable, and could never find the source of the bleeding. They finally said it is bleeding in her capillaries, and that is why they cannot locate a specific source.
She has spent more time in the hospital than at home since that second shot.
It does not look like she is going to make it.
She will have a traditional funeral with a viewing and a service inside the chapel of a very popular Memphis funeral home. This is an indoor area that I will be trapped in, probably for several hours, with many other people. Many who have been vaxxed (and might be shedding the virus), and some who might even have Covid right now themselves.
In addition, I have no idea how many people who died of Covid that they have provided a final service for in that same room. Delta varient is all around these parts.
I CANNOT get out of attending this funeral. I an unvaccinated by choice (I am not convinced of their safety), but heck - there are vaccinated people all over the place who are getting Covid anyway, so why would I ever consider the vaccination to be a hedge of protection?
But I also have a wife at home who is immunocompromised. I must protect myself for her sake, as well as my own.
I CANNOT refuse to attend this funeral (for reasons I cannot discuss here, so please do not ask). It really is non-negotiable.
So I am in need of suggestions how I can protect myself - and keep myself from bringing the virus home to her, given the situation.
Your insights and suggestions will be appreciated.
