Hillary HERSELF was a "classifying authority" and MOST CERTAINLY should have HERSELF marked these emails as CLASSIFIED TOP SECRET (discussions about a DOUBLE AGENT scientist serving the US under cover!!!!) Not to mention such top secret intelligence should NEVER have been on a private server! You can't f* up your performance in office much worse than she did.

Hillary Clinton’s private email server contains several messages discussing Shahram Amiri, the Iranian nuclear scientist who the Islamic republic executed earlier this week amid allegations he was a spy for the U.S. government.

One of those emails, which a Clinton aide forwarded to the then-secretary of state in July 2010, referred to Amiri as “our friend.”

It is unclear if the existence of the sensitive emails — which were first revealed by Arkansas Sen. Tom Cotton during an interview Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation” — put Amiri at additional risk of conviction or execution by Iran. But Cotton, a Republican, suggested that the emails provided further evidence that Clinton’s use of a private and unsecured email server put American secrets at risk and was “reckless and careless.”

“I’m not going to comment on what he may or may not have done for the United States government, but in the emails that were on Hillary Clinton’s private server, there were conversations among her senior advisors about this gentleman,” Cotton told “Face the Nation” host John Dickerson.

“That goes to show just how reckless and careless her decision was to put that kind of highly classified information on a private server. And I think her judgment is not suited to keep this country safe,” Cotton added.

“U.S. authorities have said that Amiri defected on his own accord in 2009 and provided secrets about Iran’s nuclear program to the government. Federal sources told The Washington Post that the CIA planned to pay Amiri $5 million in exchange for the sensitive information.

But a year after his defection several videos of the scientist appeared online. Soon after, he showed up at the Iranian interest section of the Pakistani embassy in Washington, D.C. asking to return to his homeland.

Amiri, who leaves behind a wife and child, held a press conference in Tehran after his return and claimed that he had been kidnapped by American and Saudi intelligence agents on religious pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.

The Iranian government initially publicly backed that story, but Amiri fell off the radar soon after. At some point he was convicted of treason and sentenced to 10 years in prison. He was executed by hanging on Wednesday.

Gholamhosein Mohseni Ejehi, a spokesman for the Iranian judiciary, said on Sunday that Amiri was convicted of treason for providing “the enemy with vital and secret information of the country,” the Associated Press reported.

“This person who had access to the country’s secret and classified information had been linked to our hostile and No. 1 enemy, America, the Great Satan,” Ejehi added.

It is unclear, as Cotton suggested on Sunday, whether mentions of Amiri in Clinton email traffic put him at greater risk.

he emails, which Cotton did not detail but were later identified by the AP, are not redacted or classified.

One of the emails, which Richard Morningstar, then the State Department’s special envoy for Eurasian energy, sent to Jake Sullivan, Clinton’s top foreign policy adviser, on July 5, 2010, suggests that the State Department regarded Amiri as an ally.

Morningstar referred to Amiri as “our friend.”

“Per the subject we discussed, we have a diplomatic, ‘psychological’ issue, not a legal issue,” reads Morningstar’s email, which Sullivan forwarded to Clinton.

“Our friend has to be given a way out. We should recognize his concerns and frame it in terms of a misunderstanding with no malevolent intent and that we will make sure there is no recurrence. Our person won’t be able to do anything anyway. If he has to leave so be it.”

Sullivan referred to Amiri again in a July 12 email to Clinton, the AP reports.

“The gentleman you have talked to [under secretary of state for political affairs] Bill Burns about has apparently gone to his country’s interests section because he is unhappy with how much time it has taken to facilitate his departure. This could lead to problematic news stories in the next 24 hours. Will keep you posted,” Sullivan wrote.

Amiri is referenced again, this time by name, in a Sept. 17, 2010 email which Sullivan forwarded Clinton. The mention came in a CNN article in which Yusuf bin Alawai bin Abdullah, Oman’s foreign minister, claimed that Omani negotiators negotiating the release of three American hikers arrested in Iran floated the idea of an exchange for Amiri.

Bin Alawai declined to tell CNN if Amiri was exchanged for one of the hikers, Sarah Shourd. But “it may have helped,” he told the network.

Sullivan forwarded the article and an email chain to Clinton.

In it, Janet Sanderson, the State Department’s deputy assistant secretary for the bureau of near eastern affairs, said that bin Alawai’s remarks were “unhelpful.”

Hillary Clinton used her private email server to discuss details of the Iranian nuclear scientist who has just been executed(8/7/16) for giving information to the CIA.

Shahram Amiri, who was hanged on Sunday for 'revealing secrets to the enemy', was in the US and allegedly informing on Tehran's extensive nuclear program during the Democrat's controversial reign as Secretary of State.

At the time she stressed researcher had been there of his 'own free will' and was described as 'our friend' in correspondences.

But he maintained he had been kidnapped by intelligence agents.

Emails sent by Clinton's advisers point to the scandal involving Amiri - suggesting it was a 'diplomatic, psychological issue', but not a 'legal one'.

One aide also warned he would lead to 'problematic news stories'.

Richard Morningstar, a former State Department special envoy for Eurasian energy wrote to Clinton: 'We should recognize his concerns and frame it in terms of a misunderstanding with no malevolent intent and that we will make sure there is no recurrence.

'Our friend has to be given a way out. Our person won't be able to do anything anyway. If he has to leave so be it.'

Senior adviser Jake Sullivan sent another email about Amiri on July 12, 2010.

It appears he is referring to the scientist just hours before he showed up at the Iranian interests section of the Pakistani Embassy in Washington D.C., demanding he be sent home.

He said: 'The gentleman... has apparently gone to his country's interests section because he is unhappy with how much time it has taken to facilitate his departure.

'This could lead to problematic news stories in the next 24 hours.'

Amiri went missing in 2009 after leaving for a pilgrimage to Mecca, but appeared in a video - apparently recorded in the U.S. - in which he claimed to have been put under pressure to 'reveal sensitive information' to the intelligence agency.

In interviews he has claimed he was drugged, put on a plane, and then kept under 'psychological pressure' at an undisclosed location in the U.S.

There he was asked to hand over classified documents, but he claims he never did as he didn't want to betray his country.

He then walked into the Iranian interests section at the Pakistani Embassy in Washington and demanded to be sent home.

He came back to a hero's welcome and insisted he was a 'simple researcher'.

Amiri worked for a university affiliated with Tehran's extensive nuclear program.

He is said to have had an in-depth knowledge of Iran's nuclear program and was kept at a secret location after returning to the country.

According to CBS, he told officials in interviews he was being held against his will by Saudi and U.S. spies.

But American officials said he was set to receive millions for informing.

Amiri's mother told the BBC that his body had been sent to her with rope marks around his neck.

On Sunday, an Iranian judicial spokesman confirmed the execution had taken place.

He told the Mizan Online news site: 'Shahram Amiri was hanged for revealing the country's top secrets to the enemy (US).'

In another recording filmed when he was missing, the scientist suggested he had fled from the USA, where he had been held against his will.

But US officials said they paid Amiri some $5 million to defect and provide 'significant' information about Iran's atomic program.

Amiri later fled the U.S. without the money.

Iranian officials previously touted Amiri's claim he had been abducted by U.S. agents while on a pilgrimage to holy sites in Saudi Arabia.

They welcomed him home in 2010 as a hero.

But his family confirmed to the BBC he had been given a lengthy jail sentence after returning to the Middle East.

The State Department declined to comment on Amiri's execution

Shakram Amiri appeared in a video in which he claimed to have been put under pressure to 'reveal sensitive information' by the CIA. Upon his return to Tehran, Iranian authorities backed up his claim and he came back to a hero's welcome

Amiri's disappearance will raise concerns about the future of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, a British-Iranian aid worker being held by Tehran.

The 37-year-old, who was arrested as she tried to leave Iran after a visit with her two-year-old daughter, appeared in the Revolutionary Court on Monday.

'We continue to raise our strong concerns about British prisoners in Iran, including Mrs Zaghari-Ratcliffe, at the highest levels in both London and Tehran,' a spokeswoman for Britain's Foreign Office said.

Zaghari-Ratcliffe, 37, works for the Thomson Reuters Foundation, a London-based charity that is independent of Thomson Reuters and operates independently of Reuters News.

The Foreign Office spokeswoman said former Prime Minister David Cameron had repeatedly raised the case with his Iranian counterpart.

'We are deeply concerned by recent reports that Mrs Zaghari-Ratcliffe has been charged but has not been allowed to see a lawyer,' the spokeswoman said.

'We remain ready to facilitate Mrs Zaghari-Ratcliffe's daughter's return to the UK if requested.'

Has No Life - Lives on TB
Just shows to go ya how dangerous it is to have Hildebeest as "a friend."
Indeed.
And these exposed emails confirm what had only been suppositions about the Amiri operation.
Much more effort, by the Shia dogs, will go into rechecking the back trail.

The most significant result is the utter discrediting of the US human intelligence efforts.
No matter what abuse has been suffered by a potential spy or source, it means suicide and destruction of ones family and clan, if one helps the US. No agent handler can say, 'Join us and we will protect you.' and have any credibility.
What few human sources we have will dry up and disappear.
What other names and identifiers will come up today or tomorrow?

The scientist's ONLY defense was that he was KIDNAPPED by US agents, but Hillary destroyed that defense by her email citing that the scientist was here entirely at his own will!!!

Erik Prince: Hillary Clinton ‘Very Likely Caused’ Iranian Nuclear Scientist’s Death

by John Hayward 8 Aug 2016

Retired Navy SEAL and former Blackwater CEO Erik Prince addressed the controversy surrounding President Obama’s secret $400 million payment to Iran on Monday’s edition of Breitbart News Daily with SiriusXM host Stephen K. Bannon.

“For the administration to deny that it was a ransom payment is a complete lie,” said Prince, adding:
When you have the aircraft holding on the deck in Iran – pilots there, crew there, flight plan filed, everything waiting until the fee arrives – and of course, the administration doesn’t do it in dollars because that would be another violation of federal law, so they did it in euros and Swiss francs, once again with America paying off Iran.
“The thousands of U.S. troops that have been killed or damaged by roadside bombs, especially the explosive foreign penetrators in Iraq, that was directly the responsibility of Iran, as the Marine barracks bombing was in 1983,” said Prince. “They’ve done ten times or 100 times as bad in Iraq to our own troops. Once again, the administration literally gets away with breaking the law, paying a terrorist nation the largest ransom payment I’ve ever heard of.”

Bannon asked if Hillary Clinton should be considered complicit in the execution of Iranian nuclear physicist Shahram Amiri, on charges of spying for the United States, who was discussed in some of the emails on Clinton’s unsecured private server.

“The physicist that came out, he defected, he was a treasure trove of information, but the CIA and the Clinton State Department botched it while he was in the States, left him pretty much unsupported,” Prince replied, calling it a major mistake to leave Amiri’s family in Iran.

“The second time he calls home, the Iranian intelligence service answers the phone.

Undoubtedly, they leveraged him. When the guy talks about psychological trauma here in the United States, I’m sure it’s because the Iranians were telling him all the things they were going to do to his family if he didn’t come home,” said Prince.

“Once again, the administration screwed it up. He goes home; of course, he’s arrested. And then Hillary’s emails, which were in the open, certainly readable by foreign powers, were talking about Hillary’s so-called friend, who was a defection, and not an abduction, as the guy was claiming,” he added.

Prince said that if the American people want to break through what Bannon described as “the media Praetorian Guard” around Clinton and Obama, to get some real coverage of the Amiri story, they should understand that “Hillary’s emails, playing fast and loose with national security matters, very likely caused this guy to die.”

“He’d been sentenced to prison, but after the release of these emails, he was taken out and executed,” said Prince. He continued:
When he went back to Iran, there was no talk of him being executed. Once her emails were released, he was executed. What does it mean? It means, once again, America does not take care of the people that help America. This guy was a treasure trove of information on the Iranian nuclear program. He’s dead. We leave the Pakistani doctor who helped us find bin Laden, still in Pakistani prison.
“This administration, particularly Hillary Clinton, plays fast and loose with classified information, and doesn’t really care about the people who help America, and they suffer, and our national security will suffer for it yet again in the long term,” Prince concluded.
