I seriously wonder if this will split the Republican party/conservative efforts much like Ross Perot did in ''90's and as a result we ended up with Clinton....TWICE......ugh!! What the hell will we end up with this time?

I suspect he will have opposition in the primaries and, depending how he does speaking wise between now and then, he may or may not get the nomination. He will not help himself by criticizing people like Desantis or calling people goofy names like he used to. His message is good and he tried harder to keep his promises than any president since Reagan. No matter how he does, I am pleased that a lot of liberals have their panties in a wad over this announcement.

82 and 86 at end of term.

They grew up right after the dust bowl. Yup that experience will lead America into the future.

The 4th turning revolution will start due to this and the next generation will not fight for issues the “old people” feel are important.

This is a true game changer.

Or like teddy Roosevelt did and split the vote so they ended up with Wilson who put in many of the foundations for the true world order/leftists that enabled the screwed up mess we have now.

As much as I liked trumps results at this point all he’ll do is create a bigger wedge than we have now and splinter the possible opposition to the demon-crat evil.

He should be the senior statesman king maker but his personality will make him screw it up.

Why not Desantis as Vice-President?

That would seem an unbeatable ticket--and the Dems greatest nightmare.....

I don't know about that. I tend to disagree. His announcement preempts any formidable challenge from others within the party. Anyone else is an afterthought.

I watched a little bit of DeSantis on YouTube this evening and he is so full of himself it really was not becoming or endearing. However, I agree a Trump/DeSantis ticket would be a winning combination. My fear though is that DeSantis is a paid-for politician just like Pence was.

I would vote for that ticket, but I saw something yesterday that said Trump had insulted Desantis. I'm also a bit concerned that if Desantis leaves Florida, where he is very popular, Florida may again become less reliably republican in the future and that would make it harder for the republicans to win the presidency.

It will be interesting what happens now with the corrupt DOJ and how they handle the Trump investigation. I don't think there was ever any reason to investigate him to begin with. BTW, I saw today the DOJ announced they were not filing any charges against Rudy Juliani and dismissed the grand jury. Another Trump ally brought up for a false investigation that amounted to nothing.

I think some will run. I suspect Pence is one of them. I used to listen to him years ago when he had a radio show out of Indianapolis and he was very conservative. He doesn't have Trump's speaking power but that would appeal to those who thought Trump was loud and rude. I doubt Pence could ever win election.

Pence needs more money(ie getting paid to quit the race). He hasn't a chance in hell of making it unless the Dems fake the votes for him. They might since Pence has proven a loyal tool to them.

The Democrats kept President Trump completely busy in his first term with
with one ambush after another. It was near impossible for him to get much of
anything done. He was faced with one fight after another from every direction.
It was really non-stop BS by the Democrats to interfere with the Executive branch.

I thought that he held up rather well.
I don't see that President Trump and I will ever be personal friends and I'm
not planning on having him over for Sunday dinner.
I just want someone in the White House that can get the job done, and if
he's an ass in the process, so be it.

President Trump needs to return to the White House with a vengeance, heads need
to roll, literally not figuratively.

For the last few years I have been saying that next year this will be a different world. And it is. Next year it will be a different world. I find it hard to believe that there will be any form of election in 2024... the new worlds are changing more each year.
