Melodi
Disaster Cat
I love to claim it was my cat, and we used to have one that would have let us do this, Prince Mordred ruled his kitty realm with an iron paw but actually let us dress him in a Viking Helmet with his arm around an axe once; but this kitty was posted first in the Happy Beltane Thread on facebook, started by someone in the Covenant of the Goddess but I didn't think they would mind me posted it here.Happy Beltane! And congrats, Melodi, on having the most chilled-out cat ever.
Our barncats would have a thing or two to say if someone tried to put a crown of flowers on one.
Also, I'm delighted other people are posting videos and sharing what they are doing too; I look at these threads as a great time to share and for a bit of education as well for people who are interested. I am also getting the feeling that the Beltane/Mabon weather has been nasty in a lot of places - today here in the Ireland the sky actually turned that icky shade of green turning to black for a short period - I even went downstairs just in case a bolt was needed for under the staircase and this morning an Irish Friend snapped a picture of the "funny cloud" they saw on the Dublin Commute with another friend saying how horrible the wind, rain and hail had been under it.
I took one look at the thing and said "That is what is called in the US a funnel cloud, they turn into tornadoes if they touch down but the weather underneath them can be nasty enough even when they stay over your head."
I am sure there are some-places that had nice weather today, I gather California was pretty nice for the dancing in the park but I don't know about the other spots; still enough places are stormy that it does make me wonder a bit if the world situation is likely to mimic the weather? I sure hope not, I really didn't like the billowing, dark-black clouds this afternoon.
Still I did end up with a huge loaf of bread when my 1847 starter went crazy and the chickens are all trying to sit, I had to dump a hen off the next (I have two sitting already) so obviously some creatures are feeling alive and fertile!
My bread, baked on an extra-large cookie sheet (and I only used about 5 cups of flour, including the revived starter that I thawed out 2 days ago)
