The suspect was identified as Noah Green, 25, of Indiana,You know as well as I do that he's in hiding and they won't release his name.

Green’s Nation of Islam beliefs emerged through a review of his now-deleted Facebook page by Heavy, although police have not specified a motive and say they don’t believe the attack was terrorism-related. On Facebook, as recently as March 2021, the suspect expressed admiration for Elijah Muhammad, the now deceased Nation of Islam leader who was a mentor to Malcolm X. Green referred to himself as “Noah X.”
He also indicated that he was facing many difficulties in his life that were adding up, including unemployment and hunger, writing, “I haven’t had much to lean on” because he faced “ fear, hunger, loss of wealth, and diminution of fruit.”
Britannica calls Muhammad the “leader of the black separatist religious movement known as the Nation of Islam (sometimes called Black Muslims) in the United States.”
“I encourage everyone to study Revelations, study the signs of end times, study who the best is, study who the anti-Christ is, study who the false prophet is, and study the created images during those times,” Green wrote on Facebook on March 17, 2021.
“The Minister is here to save me and the rest of humanity, even if it means facing death. Be willing to deny yourself and follow him, pick up your cross. The Honorable Elijah Muhammad (his teacher, the exalted Christ) is alive and in power (I bear witness). Study the Minister, watch his lectures, study Elijah Muhammad, study the mother wheel (which is present here in America (I bear witness again). We have a little time.”

Andrews DID put up a CAP (combat air patrol) when this went down this afternoon. And there were LOTS of Blackhawks flying low slow and in pairs in NW DC; either to scoop up trapped legislators or to drop a group or two of good guys with party favors............Yes, Old guard DID get an op order for possible DC work. As it were, all those national guard troops that were supposed to be gone already from DC weren't. They're spaced about every 6-10 feet from each other around the capitol tonight.
I was in Bethesda and NW DC when this happened. I think every MPD cop in DC responded code 3 when this happened; for about 20 minutes all I heard were cop cars lights and sirens going.
Dazed and Confused and CTFirebattlechief-this incident happened at the bottom of the hill off Conneticut Av. Right where we took a breather before walking up the hill to Union Station.
Estimated speed of impact from the looks of what damage is to the (rental, probably an Enterprise car. In VA rental cars have orange year stickers on their license plates) was about 35 or so. Rolled up the aprons in the engine compartment pretty good. Right side frame rail extension is probably behind the right front wheel when it hit.
He hit those cops dead on-neither one had a chance. The one that died got literally run over, the one in serious condition is pretty mangled up. There may be two dead officers at some point.
The perp, Chad Greene? I believe his name is-no 29s, from Illinois. Said to be a member of the Nation of ISLAM. He's relatively young, and probably was high as a kite when he hit the barricade. Had a knife for real. Survived the crash essentially unscathed (which means he was drunk or high, relaxed muscles tend to do better in impacts.
The officer that died was an 18 year vet of the Capitol police.
And for the life of me-I keep thinking we just had a Horst Wessel moment with this incident. The fact the Capitol is an armed camp and has been for 3 months; yet someone deliberately tries to bust a barrier on the senate side? Sorry, too many oddball coincidences here.

Thanks for the Mark 82 Eyeball report from the area.
I say that because I was very interested in how forthcoming the MSM was going to be in it's coverage today. I strongly suspect the MSM is hell bent to very carefully "manage" public perceptions of the current administration in a very organized manner.
Overall I was not disappointed. Given the potential for such an attack to possibly be the beginning of coordinated effort, the MSM was unusually restrained in it's coverage and the amount of speculation it indulged in. A complete departure from the past.
There was really only one static camera angle of the vehicle along with a few pictures of the perimeter.
Anything else was some random twitter reports and paltry video.
