I don't understand the need for something like this with modern plumbing. Even if on a well, what purpose would this device serve? PH? Can't really change it unless you may be sensitive to it. Electrical Conductivity? Who cares? Total Dissolved Solids? Just run it through a filter, like a Berkey, or similar. Temperature? Who cares? Can someone elaborate on something I may be missing here? Thanks...

Strike fear into those fearful of everything, and make a sale.
Reminiscent of "snake oil" remedies from the latter 1880s.

They are really nice if you have a well that you're filtering to know exactly how well you filters are working

My subdivision has a well and it is at the base of the Tetons. The water is so cold it hurts, the water is tested once a month. The 2 towns water came from an artisan spring that is until the EPA showed up and forced them to and the chemicals to the water even though it tested pure. Now it isn't fit to drink.

We at the Seeker22/Ghost homestead have been in Well Hell for the last couple of weeks. This post is a caution to others with their own wells. I have lived with hard water all my life. Limestone is going to leach out Calcium when you need it least. The pics I took of the quarter turn valve plum full of little pieces of what looked like crushed up sea shells, dropped my jaw. No water could get through. We've been ten years on this well without changing the plumbing in the Cabin. If I'd had one of these things, I could have seen it coming and fixed it on my schedule and not Fate's.

Well guys came out and replaced every part that makes a Pump House function. Buddy came and replaced the PEX connection under the kitchen sink. All new everything in kitchen and bathroom. Adding one of these units is now on the list. Thanks for posting.
