KENNESAW, Ga. — The victim in the shooting at the Pinetree Country Club Saturday afternoon has been identified as golf pro and director Gene Siller, according to a member at the country club.

Police have not yet confirmed Siller as the victim at this time.

According to a member, the alleged shooter drove his car to the 10th fairway at the country club's golf course, Siller went to see what was going on and he was shot.

Cobb County police said the shooting took place shortly after 2:27 p.m.

Officials said the suspect has not been caught yet and they are still checking the area as a precaution.

Another witness said the suspect drove a white pickup truck onto the golf course.

Let's Go Brandon!
He was a ‘white’ Hispanic…white supremacist Hispanic….yeah, that’s the ticket!

At least it wasn't a POS African. The entire golf course, could be burnt to the ground,
because of White supremacy.

Prayers for the families of those murdered. There is a war on White peoples,
and the war is being waged by non-Whites, most who are nothing more,
than low brow POS.

Please be safe everyone. Realize and now, that the end is now here.

Regards to all.

Golf Balls are white, except really dedicated golfers use fluorescent orange balls on the snow.

Sometimes range balls are fluorescent green. Owner has a couple of these he snagged somewhere and has been known to hit them into my field from his front yard. He thinks he's being funny.

"Large target and I still can't hit Dobbin. "

I go stand on the other side when he gets in these moods.

I wonder if this is that Hispanic guy the news just the other day described as "mentally ill" and EXTREMELY dangerous, who they said had just killed someone in another state (again, no provocation) and was believed to be in the Atlanta area.
If you run across anything that connects the two please post.

True story:

Years ago, I was working as a Paramedic in a large city down south. Married, no children yet. I decided to go back and finish my bachelors.

I was in day classes attended mostly kids right out of high school - of course shift work meant I could…so often I was still in uniform. One class, the prof was a Vietnam vet…shot down, burn pretty badly…so he‘d been there, done that.

He was lecturing about sense of humor, favorite colors, etc, all as metrics for IQ. I remained quiet as my sense of humor was grim…the job makes you like that…but he kept probing as he wanted to show all the “kids” a contrast…

Long story short, he asked everyone for a joke that tickled them…finally I told one that pealed the paint off the walls…he simply grinned as the snowflake 17-18-19 y/o girls and boys almost passed out.

Professor tried to explain coping mechanisms for those who see death in all its “glory”…those kids weren’t having it…not one bit - “they knew better!”

Professor just smiled & winked at me, I grinned and shrugged my shoulders…

Im sure those who had the luxury of never having to endure what we did…thought me a jackass. :shr:

If someone cannot "cope" with reading this thread perhaps he should go read a different one.
"Coping humor" will be equally ill received on the missing 5 year old thread. Jus sayin.

At the 106th GenHosp in Japan back in'68, the guys in the burn ward proudly called themselves crispy critters.
Some of the most warped senses of humor I've encountered have been in medical professionals, EMTs and such. Buncha sickos, which is probably why I get along with 'em so well.;)

Wow. PCness and borderline censorship. Never thought I'd see that here. Que Sera Sera.

Just good manners and good taste. I wonder if the dead man's family would find such *humor* funny.

Sort of an update, they don't know who the third dead guy is yet:

You know what? I (and many other members here) have seen boards who let anything be said. Well meaning owners who really believed "good Conservatives will be self moderating ".

Over time, the crass, the rude, the "practical realists" and "engineer brains, don't have time for any of that feeling crap" (self identified, btw) people ran those off who preferred reasoned discourse with at least a sprinkling of civility and class. Those boards are, by and large, GONE.

None of it has anything to do with political correctness. A bit of sensitivity to MZ Kitty, who obviously was affected by some factor of the killings (or maybe its just the totality-cshe reads a lot of crap to bring us the news every day)

I'll be honest. I didn't see any problem with the comment... it may actually turn out to be an explanation. But once a valued member (and the OP!) Expresses a problem with your post, take it to PM and try to sort it out.

And don't scream censorship... because you're damned right we censor on RARE occasions to try to keep this herd of cats from imploding!

Summerthyme) btw... if we "censor", we do it right out in the open!)

I only heard about this today (have been off the computer since Friday until a bit today (Sunday) and just saw a quick blurb on TV saying "if you see this guy don't approach him, call police"--apparently he just walks up to people & shoots them--no motive, no connection, no rhyme or reason. Do NOT know if it's the same one--just wondering, though, It's interesting b/c the news story I saw earlier in the week said he was in Florida when he committed his last murder(s) but "was believed to be heading for Atlanta".

And now this.......

I looked it up. Everybody in that town is required by a 1982 law to own a personal weapon.

Everybody who LIVES there--within the CITY LIMITS.

I do NOT think most of the well-heeled jet-set golfers at this club LIVE there.

More likely, they're from the rich subdivisions nearby.

If they're even living in GA at all (or just visiting)

Ok, latest article I have (only 52 minutes old):

VERY good / informative video at link:

(By the way, one of the two bodies in the bed of the truck was the OWNER of the truck. So the murderer KILLED the owner, hijacked his truck, then drove out onto the golf course "firing multiple shots" per the video)

July 04, 2021 at 11:23 pm EDTBy WSBTV.com News Staff
COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Cobb County police are investigating a triple homicide at a country club Saturday afternoon.

Police say Pinetree Country Club employee and golf professional Gene Siller was found with a gunshot wound to the head at the 10th hole.

[DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV News app for alerts as news breaks]

Investigators also found a white Ram 3500 pick-up truck parked on the green. Two other bodies were found in the bed of the truck. Both had been shot.

One of the two bodies found in the truck’s bed was identified as Paul Pierson, the registered owner of the truck. The third victim has not yet been identified.

There is no word on whether or not Pierson and the third victim are connected to the country club.

[RELATED: Cobb County police investigate a deadly shooting at country club near KSU]

The private course sits along McCollum Parkway near Kennesaw State University’s main campus.

“It’s very disturbing. It’s definitely disturbing,” said witness John Lavender.

The university sent out an alert out warning students about the shooting. They said the suspect is a Hispanic male wearing a white t-shirt, work pants and possibly a hat. He is 6′1′' and weighs around 170 lbs.

“It’s mind-blowing. Growing up here, it’s nothing I would’ve imagined here happening in this city. I can’t understand how and why this actually happened,” said Lavender.

The suspect has not yet been identified or located.

The club canceled all of their Independence Day festivities to instead focus on the Siller family.

A GoFundMe has been set up to benefit Siller’s family. As of 11 p.m. Sunday, it had raised more than $156,000. If you’d like to donate to it, you can click here.

The reporters on WSB (article I posted above) went OUT OF THEIR WAY NOT TO MENTION that the shooter was Hispanic, though the article mentions that. So whether it's connected to the guy the news stations were telling us two days ago to watch out for, I don't know. I remember the guy because he so obviously looked soul-dead psychopathic---dead eyes.

Well, I was simply trying to explain that we all don’t have the same backgrounds.

As I didn’t post anything close to “coping humor”, I’ll try again…

Neither I, nor anyone here on this board can read minds, nor do we have an omniscient knowledge of thousands of people’s personal backgrounds.

So then, we all should understand that things can be said which offend delicate sensibilities by people who don’t necessarily mean to attack anyone nor offend them.

MzKitty said it was simply “good manners and good taste”, again, how can anyone know what another person here feels?

And as far as censorship, I totally get it. But again, how can anyone be expected to tow a line which is so subjective and not clearly stated.

Again, I said nothing in bad taste nor “asinine“, just trying to be a peace maker and broaden the perspectives of those who somehow think we’re all alike.

God has a plan, Trust it!
My family lives in Kennesaw, I'll see what I can find out. And no, the whole town was not required to own a gun, though the entire family does and are all military vets or actives, including the women :)

"It can't happen here." (Said with head in sand) We're at the point where it can happen ANYWHERE. Sadly.

Censorship applies to politics.
This is rudeness.
He is free to be rude.

Ok. Here's my plan. I'll read the post or thread, read what everyone is posting, then I'll agree. That will make for a fun forum.

Some people here need a thicker skin. I got flamed for quoting a movie, got flamed for making a joke about Jews, and now this. However I noticed dark skinned people jokes along with calling the mentally challenged "tards" are fully "On the table". I find the hypocrisy laughable.

Are you actually saying that no one has a right to disagree with what you post or call you out on something?
You were rude on the level of an average 12 year old.
You got called on it.

You have a right to be offensive.
Others have a right to let you know they find you offensive.
Maybe you need a thicker skin.
