I'm sorry, Border Collie Dad. Losing a friend always leaves an empty space. And, it's not like someone else would ever be able to fill that space, it's just that as we get older, the spaces get larger. I didn't get a sense of his spiritual state but I do hope he was able to receive Jesus prior to his last moments.
