Live Free & Die Free.... God Freedom Country....
My dog had been moved around quite a bit. He was adopted by a family when he was approximately one year old. They had him for three years, which he spent as an outdoor dog. He then had to be rehomed and he went somewhere for a couple weeks, then a friend of mine had him for three months. In each of these places he had some behavioural issues. He escaped the yard and wreaked havoc on neighbours, he peed inside my friends house and chewed his way out of crates and ate anything he could.

When I got him, he peed in my house about 10 minutes after they dropped him off.

After about three days, he was bonded with me. We walked two-three times a day, tons of hiking and averaging about 12km/day. He started eating properly and his anxiety slowed. I worked with him every day on his anxiety. He did not pee in my house again, and seemed to be much more relaxed. I never crated him or needed to. He became my whole world and I his.

His previous owners and I have gone for walks and he is excited to see them, but always excited to go home with me. I have had him almost a year and he absolutely loves me. He doesn't ever try to escape my yard or run away. He gets off leash time and I trust him absolutely. I think he is better suited to my lifestyle for sure. Even when my partner and I moved in together with his dog, we've had few to no issues.

I think he gets more exercise and attention than he got before, despite those homes being good people who loved him.

He's my dog, and I'm his human! He loves his newest home and I don't intend to remove him from it!

There are many dog owners who feel that their big dog has the soul of a puppy despite its age. These dogs still retain cute features of a puppy when showing shyness or cheerfulness. And especially even though their size is really large, but they still like to sit on the lap of their owner. Here are 12 funny pictures of big dogs but with the soul of a puppy.

What is the most intelligent thing your dog (or any other pet) has done?
Ever since we welcomed Laila in our home, we have been trying to find a solution to all the dog hair she was shedding. Finally, we bought one of the cheaper robo vacuum cleaners.

It would run every day and pick up all the hair and our home was much cleaner. So everyone was happy with it. Well, except Laila. She hates it. It always disturbs her play time or naptime.

At first she used to just go and sit in her crate waiting for the vacuum cleaner to stop. But last week she’d had enough. She waited until it got closer to her bed.

(Laila’s bed)

Then, when the time was right, she pull her whole bed and dropped it on top of the vacuum. Once it was trapped, she climbed on top of the bed and started jumping on it. This was her first attempt at the solving the problem. We call it “Die Robo-vac Die!” strategy.

Well that didn’t work. The vacuum would still turn on every day and annoy Laila.
It was time for a different strategy. She had to be smart and patient. She observed it daily, she waited and finally came up with this genius solution.

She has another thinner bed that’s always inside her crate. A few minutes before the daily vacuum run, she pulled it out of her crate along with one of her toys.

As soon as the vacuum cleaner played its startup tune, she quickly got up, pushed her bed towards the vacuum cleaner and pushed her rubber toy against the bed, trapping the vacuum cleaner at the base.

(Laila’s evil plan at work)

And that’s it. The vacuum cleaner complained that it couldn’t move away from the base for a minute and then gave up. Problem solved!

She climbed up the couch and went to sleep knowing she’d won the battle. The evil had been defeated! Her world was safe again.

The end.

The dog is asthmatic.

His former owner mistreated him, slept in the rain and got constantly sick.

Now his new family is treating him, they have to nebulize him every attack comes to him, but he knows this is for his own good and he is still and quiet while receiving the oxygen.

Get well soon little one!

Dad Builds His Boy A Small Staircase So He Can Look Out The Window With The Dog

Dad Builds His Boy A Small Staircase So He Can Look Out The Window With The Dog

Lucy the six-year-old Golden Retriever likes to look out of the window just like every other dog.

But she also has a little buddy — her human brother, Connor — who loves to partake in the neighborhood watch with her!

Connor’s little plush chair only enabled him to just barely see out the window though, and Dad felt bad. So he came up with an idea to give his son a better view. He bought about $100 worth of lumber and went for it!

When finished, it would take the boy a little time to learn to crawl up the steps, but he loved it! The “fort” gives him an equal vantage point with Lucy to look outside upon hearing a horn or motorcycle.

The gentle giant of a dog is more than happy to share her spot in the window with her brother. It just means they can spend even more time hanging out and doing things together!

Puppy Couldn’t Handle Being Left Behind By Another Car, And Cried Out

Puppy Couldn’t Handle Being Left Behind By Another Car, And Cried Out

A call came to Ninel, an animal rescuer, about 5 pups, who were fending for themselves in the cold weather. Among them, 2 pups are so small, and one white pup could not walk.

The puppies needed 2 vehicles to pick them up as 4 of them would go to the shelter and the last one would go to the hospital! When the 1st vehicle drove off to the shelter, the injured pup cried out like saying “do not leave me!” But Smiley, the pup, did not know that he would soon go to the hospital to receive the care and medication he needed. What a happy ending! Watch the video below.

There are wonderful and caring individuals in our world.

There is also a special place in Hades for those that harm children and animals.

Soldier stays near his dying dog until very end. These 7 pictures prove what true love is

Two brave soldiers, two members of the U.S. Air Force, and two souls bonded for life. Those words describe Kyle Smith and his military dog, Bozda, who willingly put their lives on the line overseas protecting our country. But when fate caught up to Bozda, Smith had to make the ultimate sacrifice for his best friend. Bozda, a German Shepherd, began working for the Air Force in 2006 as an explosion detection dog. He helped save many lives in Iraq, Kuwait, and Kyrgyzstan by finding bombs before they exploded. Smith first teamed up with Bozda in 2012, and the two immediately became best friends.

KYLE SMITH
Smith told The Dodo
that “I loved working with him because he taught me a lot — patience as a young handler, and how to understand that this job isn’t just about you.”

KYLE SMITH

When Bozda officially retired from service, Smith adopted him then and there. “I took him home the same day,” he said. “He was even more loyal at home. He followed me around everywhere. He would lay his head down flush with the bed and tell me good night, every night.”

Sadly, in summer 2016, Bozda was diagnosed with a fatal genetic disease called degenerative myelopathy, which affects a dog’s spinal cord. “His hind limbs lost their use, and he could barely stand up anymore, much less walk,” Smith said. “He couldn’t handle the stress on his body and using the restroom was a task.”

KYLE SMITH

After seeing how much pain this condition was causing Bozda, Smith made the most difficult decision a dog owner has to make. He decided to have Bozda euthanized. Accompanied by nine of his fellow soldiers, Smith took Bozda to the Fort Bliss Vet Clinic in Texas. Bozda was made comfortable and Smith sat by him on the floor until Bozda had passed peacefully away. “I was holding Bodza as he passed,” Smith said. “It was a rush of so many things. It was just overwhelming. He had a smile on his face when he was getting put to sleep.”

Afterward, Smith broke down crying over his loss. “They let me sob like a baby. They patted me on the back and let me know it was going to be all right. My boss immediately went and grabbed a flag, and draped it over him and let me have a final moment,” Smith recalled.”It was incredible,” Smith said. “There was heartache and peace all at once that came over me.”

Smith had Bozda cremated, and he keeps Bozda’s collar on the rearview mirror of his car. “I will never forget how loyal he was,” Smith said. “He was selfless — more than any human I’ve ever known. He’s done so much for next to nothing and did it with a smile. I miss him every day.”

Smith made the ultimate sacrifice for his best friend by recognizing when Bozda’s quality of life was too difficult for him to live through. We recognize the heroic stature of both Smith and Bozda and mourn the loss of a great soldier. Please share Smith and Bozda’s friendship with your family and friends on Facebook.

Sad that Bozda died, but was with friends and his buddy when he passed over. Heart warming for the shared love.

For the cat moms.
-------------------------

If you’re a cat mom like me, you’ll joke that your cats own you and don’t appreciate you but the truth is, it’s just cat mom humor. It’s we who are the cat crazy ones. It’s we who are easily manipulated by their cute faces and sometimes dismissive cattitudes. Cats are just like this and we love them that way. That absolutely doesn’t mean they aren’t loving. They love us exactly the way we need them too. We’re cat people and if someone lives with a cat and doesn’t feel loved by them then that person isn’t really cat person…or they’ve rescued a feral cat that’s been traumatized by humans.
