Sky Bar is still sold, but the Seven Up is not, due to brand issues. Read more here: http://www.oldtimecandy.com/skybar.htm

Sky Bars were first introduced in 1937 by Necco, the makers of Necco Wafers. It was the first molded chocolate bar with 4 distinctly different centers. Each bar consists of four milk chocolate-enrobed sections each with an interior of caramel, vanilla, peanut or fudge. Sky Bars were first announced to the public by means of a sky-writing campaign which was a rather dramatic way to introduce a product in the 1930s.

Some of you will probably remember a similar candy bar called Seven Up which was made by the Trudeau Candy Company of St. Paul, Minnesota and introduced at about the same time. It had seven sections and dark chocolate. Unfortunately it is no longer made. It was purchased by the soft drink company of the same name that decided to discontinue the candy to avoid confusion with the brands.

Hello, my name is Stephanie and I'm addicted to M&M's. We used to eat them in high school during satellite German class with cheez its and dr pepper. lol

Of course, I rarely turn down chocolate. I love dark chocolate but it doesn't like me. A regular Hersheys (yum) and a Coke will set my heart to racing (caffeine)

Hershey's Kisses
Twix
Reese's
Butterfinger
Cookie mint Hershey's (that taste like girl scout cookies. lol)
Kit Kat

but mainly M&M's. <sigh>

Funny, I cannot STAND boxed chocolates. The "life is like a box of chocolates" type. Yuck.

I really remember liking Star Bars in the early 80's . I would like to try something like them now to see if they were as good as I remember . Buzz

I always liked my chocolate in any form, but didn't discrimiminate against the non-chocolate choices. Still like Salted Nut Rolls and Pecan Rolls, loved Zero Bars and buy Chick-O-Sticks whenever I find them.

And Almond Snickers are almost as good as the old Mars Bars.

Strangely, in the past few years I've lost my taste for chocolate.

But I do dream of the candy dish my Grandmother use to keep full of those wonderfully hot cinnamon drops and the lemon drops so tart, my lips puckered.

The stuff I find in the stores now is just flavored sugar.
