"None of them are on our side." 17:10. Spot on!
"We've had an explosive decompression; we need to put our own mask on before we can help anyone else in the world" 30:40. YES!
The young man interviewer seemed rather grounded and intelligent.
great interview overall!
Thanks! Matt seems to be a really good guy with a lot going on, I suspect in a few years his name will be a more familiar one.

I finished Potter's War some time ago and well, life got in the way for several weeks or perhaps more, but I did enjoy the way the you developed the read all the way to the climax. Good job for sure on all three. As I write this, I realize when the sun drops lower in the Southern sky I am going to reread them. Looking forward to listening to the podcast when I get time.
Thanks again,

Thanks so much for this. Of all the cherished, rare commodities in life, time is the most precious. When people tell me they are reading these books again, I'm never really sure how to adequately respond. The Wayne and Garth "I'm not worthy." is the first thing that comes to mind. Thanks so much for your support. What I really hope with Potters' Run is that maybe we can talk about all this before we wind up in full blown war again and we have to draft anyone.

I mention briefly in the podcast I'm working on a new manuscript. I had to take a break from the Potter story line. I needed a break from trying to keep up with and maybe a step ahead of the headlines. I was overseas on a literal desert island for about four months and found myself B3 deficient (booze, broads and bacon!) I joke that I learned I could live without the first two but the whole bacon thing killed me.

The fact is going that long without so much as talking to a woman and rarely even seeing one without a head covering was really strange and out of balance.

So, the new manuscript was supposed to be an escape. The female protagonist someone I could some how bond with. It's weird, I know and I told my wife all about it. And I was trying to stay away from all the headlines we were kind of caught in the middle of where I was. The new book is set in 1935 so I got to escape the news right?

Well in 1935, there were a lot of people worried about a president becoming a tyrant, and it was clear we were on a path to yet another world war and emerging technology was clearly a blessing and a curse... ugh. It's like we've learned nothing.

Anyway, thank you so much for your support. The idea that you are taking the time to read my stuff twice means more to me than you may ever know. I'm working hard to come up with a new story that will be a swashbuckling aviation adventure that can just be fun without being too heavy. It will combine the intrigue of an attempt to overthrow a US president, the romance of the era of giant airships, some scifi/UFO lore, wind in the wires biplanes and maybe a little time travel.

I'm working diligently to try to make each book better than the last and I'm taking my time to write, edit and re-write this one so it's something really enjoyable. The working title is ZRX-1, Out Of Time, Adventures Of The USS Dayton.

I totally understand your deprivation syndrome as I experienced it for twelve & a half months while in VN. Very few round eyes where we were except for the few times donut dollies came around when we were in basecamp. I was able to meet my wife in Hawaii on R&R and that made it even more difficult knowing what was ahead of me going back, but I also didn't want to be away from my LRRP team any longer. Crazy stuff the head games we all have to deal with. You will have to give us a heads up when you publish your next work. Even though I am not much of a sifi buff I will definitely read it because of your ability to develop a story line. Keep leaning into the wind and good writing. RLTW
