DIXIE CHICKS SINGER: ‘I’M ASHAMED’ TRUMP IS PRESIDENT-ELECT EVERY DAY
KATIE JERKOVICH | AUTHOR

Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines said she is “ashamed” every day that Donald Trump is the president-elect every.

On Monday, the 42-year-old singer of the all-female country band did not hold back her opinions about Trump or her views about him winning the 2016 election when she attacked him via Twitter. (RELATED: Dixie Chicks Singer Calls Country Radio ‘Hypocrites’ For Trump Support)

“Just so you know…I’m ashamed the President elect is the President elect every single second of every single day,” Maines tweeted. (RELATED: Dixie Chicks Perform In Front Of Defaced Photo Of Donald Trump)

The singer did not hold back her thoughts about Trump during the election either. In June, the Dixie Chicks performed in front of a banner with a picture of Trump that had devil horns and facial hair drawn on it, while singing “Goodbye Earl,” a song about killing an abusive husband.

Back in 2003, her band was practically ostracized from country radio after the group said it was against the Iraq War and that they were “ashamed” then-President George W. Bush was from Texas.

Weren't the ditzy chicks a half assed country band which pretty much bit the dust in popularity back when this bitch pretty much said the same thing about George Bush?

Once again they will fade away into oblivion. I hope she realizes that there aren't many (if any) liberals that can appreciate a banjo solo. Ya' gotta know yer audience!

Not much intelligence and even less talent.

Why would anybody toss out 30 or 40 or 50 bucks a ticket to witness such crap?

I just looked at tickets available for one of the upcoming concerts and they are asking around $200.00 for front row seats.....Wow.

I wouldn't pay that even if I was promised sack time with each of them after the concert.

You would think they would have learned from the first time they spoke out politically like they did. Used to listen to their music a lot. Love their song 'Wide Open Spaces'

They're still around?

They were just starting to make a comeback and then Maines goes and pulls this stuff AGAIN! They were being given another chance and she blew it for them again. I predict they are done for good now.

Isn't about time we declare a boycott against all these entertainers who are trashing Trump? Seriously. Look what happened to the NFL with the backlash from the kneeling issue.

They're too afraid to perform at the Inaugural because it might hurt their careers? Why don't *we* hurt their careers?

Apparently the politically astute Ms. Maines, doesn't realize the very people she is infuriating with her rhetoric are the same people that would have bought their albums. Instead of "Goodbye Earl", perhaps she should sing "Goodbye entertainment world".

It took them about 13 years to get back. Maybe this time they will just fade into the wallpaper. Is anyone else sick of all the movie stars, tv actors and musicians that seem to think they are the only intelligent people in the world! We are so stupid we can't figure out what we should be thinking or doing. They have forgotten who put them where they are and how they got there. I will not go to another movie, buy any music or movies or watch their stupid shows. I will vote their ***es out with my pocketbook.

They could have stuck to their medium, music, and would have a much better fan base. Maybe that isn't important to them as they allowed their mental disease to affect their brand.

Now their music influence is suspect as are they musicians or politicians?

Maybe they are really neither as they aren't going to influence me either way.

Ol' Natalie just never seems to learn, does she? And despite the rhetoric, her perceived soulmate meryl streep would never be one of her fans either.

Hollyweird pisses off the Deplorables!

I predict that media revenue, movies, concerts, music, etc is going to take a big hit in 2017. The reality is roughly one quarter, one third, to one half of the total US population, some 150 to 175 million people are pro-Trump. This means Hollyweird just ticked off roughly 50 percent of the people who will pay money to go to a movie, or watch TV, or go to a concert, or buy music, mostly download it, due to their political raving lunacy.

I have no idea of what "business model" Hollyweird is currently using, but it seems to me even a basic understanding of economic reality would tell you this isn't a good idea.

The easiest way people like us, PROUD DEPLORABLES, can "stick it to "them," is to make entertainment decisions based on the raving political lunacy now coming out of Hollyweird.

If you think Meryl Streep is a loud mouthed, liberal moron, you can just stop going to any movie that has her in it. If you think the Dixie Chicks are obnoxious clowns, you can stop going to their concerts. IF you are a concert promoter, like the Bi-Mart August one up here in Oregon, you can not book them. IN fact, I'm thinking the Dixie Chicks are going to be blacklisted since they will guarantee protests and chaos even if they do play somewhere other than liberal bastions.

Yep, personally the last movie I saw was nearly one year ago. It was Revenant with Leonardo Dicaprio in it. I may watch him again, since he met with Trump and hasn't made the kind of brutal and vicious comments many other so called A-Listers did.

We shall see, but Hollywood is going to be screaming about revenue losses one year from now. George Clooney, who has brazenly attacked Trump has now suffered two movie duds in a row. I don't think it is a coincidence either. The first one was the newscaster being held hostage, and the other one was about the 1950's Hollywood star. Five years ago both of them would haved been major its. This time around they were both duds. nuff said.
Hollyweird is going to learn the hard way that the Deplorable types have LOOOOOOOONG MEMORIES. We keep score. We keep track. We don't forget. And we always get payback!:usfl:

OK this is my take I stopped listening to pop music years ago from the 1980s for obvious reasons.......

Remember, they're "not ready to make nice", doncha know.

:soap: This message is for all the floating pieces of backwash that call themselves celebrities: I don't care if you have a personal political opinion, but if I spend money on your product, movie, or concert, you can rest assured that while I'm listening to, watching, or attending, that I definitely don't want to hear what that personal political opinion is. :smkd:

Thank you for your time. And please...:stfu: and just entertain me. :eleph:

These rich 'celebs' only hang out with other rich 'celebs' who mirror back and forth their hatred of anything moral, good and decent. They assume the world is 99% of the same opinion from bad data sets, and I'm sure will be mystified this time as they were last time, why their sales sailed like the Titanic.

The new meme is certain to be "It's Trump's fault!" (I'd put the Trademark symbol there, but I don't recall how).

Yep, exactly! Their acting talent does not override the disdain I have for most actors every single time they open their pie holes. I haven't gone to a first run movie in two years. I'm not going to go see the upcoming Star Wars movie, and I'm a huge Star Wars fan. I would pay to go see a movie with Vince Vaughn, Clint Eastwood, Mel Gibson, or Gary Sinise. Maybe Brad Pitt...never mind, his wife/ex wife/whatever has the crazies. I will NEVER, I mean NEVER, EVER see another movie with Liam Neeson in it, that hypocritical ****er. To Hell with Disney. I don't watch cable news OR the networks, and my cable provider probably knows that (digital box, instant Nielsen ratings poll). Don't watch NFL after Kaepernick and the league's non-response. Don't even click on a New York Times or Wall Street Journal hyperlink. Don't buy ANY Kellogg's products. Don't shop at Target. And, apparently, I am legion! :)
