Ok listened the news briefing.
It’s weird. In my opinion.

They are being super tight lipped.
Twice, we’re asked about ongoing safety to the town.

All they would say was “if you see something or hear something out of the ordinary please call number you were given”… evaded the question each time.

Correct. I wonder if they know who it is.

Small town. Mostly white. This is very strange

I took the sheriff saying that and "It's a small community and everyone knows everyone" to mean "look everyone who lives here knows what they were into and what it lead to." That's exactly what our small town sheriff would have meant by that.

I'll reserve comment, but I can probably guess the weight, gender, and ethnicity of the initial victim based upon historic probability and importation of the suspect into the community.

O'Biden's shipping his buds from afar all over America......might have put a family "group" in this small town, gave 'em two houses, food stamps, etc......free phones et al.......and perhaps they were setting up some IEDs or a combo of meth & IEDs....we'll not know the truth......esp. if the feds are involved at some time.

Interesting. The officer would not comment on gun shots however this article says 4 shot dead

Laurel Nebraska explosions lead to 4 shot dead, fires at 2 homes

Laurel Nebraska explosions lead to fires at two different homes with 4 individuals shot dead. Cedar County authorities scan scene in hazmat suits.
An unknown number of people were found dead in the early morning hours of Thursday in two homes in a small community in northeastern Nebraska. Authorities in preliminary statements said fire was ‘involved’ at both locations following an explosion.

Cody Thomas, a spokesman for the Nebraska State Patrol, said state investigators were headed to Laurel and would likely take the lead in investigating what happened.

I found the guy on Facebook talking about responders vomiting.
Pretty interesting

He lives close. Had the scanner on.
The town sirens went off.

He was told to stay on the sidewalk when going out to look. He has a couple of pics of the homes with police around it.

Oh forgot to mention from the presser...

Authorities believe accelerant was used in both locations and perp or anyone inside at the time may have burn injuries.
I remember, in 1978, I was called in to the coroners office to see if I could identify an individual that had been burnt to a crisp as he was 'black' and I worked exclusively in that area of town as a felony warrant officer with the Sheriff's department. This guy was burnt to a crisp with facia bubbling out of every fat storage area of the body and face burnt to the bone.

I remember telling the coroner... 'You've got to be fricking kidding me if you want me to identify this pile of well done flesh'.

I can just imagine what the first responders saw upon entry to the houses. Been there, done that.

Or it might mean someone 'important' was involved but who knows?
Anyone here know anyone in that AO?

Mulyiple dead bodies w/GSW?
HAZMAT?
1st responders puking?

There was a lab in one or both structures.
Not the optimal protocol for Urban Renewal but likely for the best, long term. ....

If you have never had the misfortune to experience or see someone experience horrible flesh burns you would understand the vomiting. There was probably evidence of drugs and therefore possible exposure to unknown black market drugs as well. Hence, the hazmat suits.
P.S. The stench of burned flesh is made even worse if certain accelerants what react negatively with fats.

My grandmother burned after she fell on her lit stove making breakfast.
Autopsy showed she had an aneurism first, then slumped over.

DH and I were the ones to go back into her house that night to retrieve her watch and eye glasses out of ….the bodily stuff on the floor where they found her.
I don’t talk about that much.
Mom never would after that. She had nightmares for weeks after that, waking up sobbing, and still smelling smoke.

There is nothing in this world that smells worse then a burnt up body, except someone who has laid there dead for 2 weeks. Another thing that sticks with you for the rest of your live is the smell of Alcohol and Brains and Blood mixed together.

I'm so very glad that most folks don't have to experience these type of things, only in their imagination and 'what if's'. Sometimes reality is worse than what one can imagine when all the senses are involved. You can often tell who's who by the responses found in these types of threads.
