In November conservative Trump supporters were outraged at Megyn Kelly after targeting Donald Trump during the first Republican FOX News debate.

Twitter exploded with attacks on Kelly, her fellow debate hosts and FOX News for the constant attacks on the Republican candidates.

After the debate Megyn Kelly bragged that – The candidates are in the arena “and so am I.”

Liberal media outlets praised Kelly and FOX News for their nonstop attacks against the candidates. The New York Times, MSNBC and Media Matters all praised Kelly and FOX for berating Trump and the Republican candidates.

Last weekend Donald Trump called for Megyn Kelly’s removal as debate moderator for the February FOX New GOP debate.

Based on @MegynKelly‘s conflict of interest and bias she should not be allowed to be a moderator of the next debate.

FOX News would not bend – instead they poked the bear with an outrageous press release.

On Tuesday Trump announced he would not attend the FOX News debate.

In November an online petition was started to bar Megyn Kelly from future GOP debates. Over 55,000 people signed the petition.

Today the number is up to over 64,400.

Especially now that it's been revealed that the daughter of one of Fox News VP's is campaigning for Rubio which is a major conflict of interest! If the public is worried about this event being un-moderated, i.e., because they are skipping the debate and are fund raising for WW instead, they could invite Mark Pearson from Market to Market and Simon Conway from 1040AM, and a few other of the local talking bobble heads (PBS). I can only imagine how large this event is going to be now! Maybe Donald should invite Iowa Public TV in as well as CNN???

ETA: In fact since this debate is for Monday's Caucus here I have to wonder why in the world Fox News is holding the debate. Why isn't it IPTV with local peeps doing the moderating? After all Iowans are going to have a much better feel for what affects this particular part of the country than the skanky Megan Kelley ever will!!!

DES MOINES, Iowa — Corey Lewandowski, the campaign manager for 2016 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump, exposed a blatant conflict of interest on Wednesday that the Fox News Channel has been hiding for months.

Lewandowski showed how Fox News has been hiding the fact that Fox News Channel Vice President Bill Sammon has a daughter working for the campaign of the Washington establishment-backed Sen. Marco Rubio (R FL)

Sammon’s daughter, Brooke Sammon, is Rubio’s national press secretary, and obviously both have a vested interest in the success of the Rubio campaign and the demise of the other campaigns.

CNN’s Erin Burnett asked Lewandowski about Fox News’s controversial anti-Trump statement from Tuesday evening—and specifically the network’s claim that the top Trump aide had allegedly made threats against Fox News anchor and Thursday debate co-moderator Megyn Kelly—when he responded by dropping the explosive revelation.

Lewandowski revealed two things for the first time: that the executive he was discussing matters with was Bill Sammon, and that Sammon’s daughter Brooke Sammon works for Rubio’s campaign, giving the first-term Floridian Senator an obvious boost. That blatant conflict of interest has never before been disclosed to the viewers of Fox News by the network.

“Not only did I not make threats, but the conversation with the Fox News executive—his daughter works for the Rubio campaign, he’s one of the executives on Fox that writes the debate questions so maybe he has his own ulterior motives, I’m not sure,” Lewandowski told Burnett in the Wednesday evening CNN interview. He went on:

But his daughter is a senior executive on the Rubio campaign, maybe he should disclose that before he’s writing the debate questions for Fox. There were no threats made. The bottom line is this isn’t about me and it’s not about Megyn Kelly. It’s about the way that Fox News put out a statement about Mr. Trump that’s wholly inaccurate and unfair and it’s very difficult to treat someone fairly when they’re the GOP frontrunner when you put out a statement like that.

There’s something initially angering that becomes very sad when a fraud is revealed. Tonight on his radio show Mark Levin was forced to admit the son of his fiance’ is a full time staffer for Senator Ted Cruz.

After spending weeks attacking anyone who critiques candidate Ted Cruz, the motives of Mark Levin now take full sunlight. He should be ashamed, VERY ashamed.

No, Mr. crony-constitutionalist, lying by omission is not the least bit funny. Nor is deception toward your audience when you do not disclose your own conflicts. Especially when we consider the hours Levin spends railing against the internecine family associations like George Will and his wife working for Scott Walker.

Crony politics is apparently alive and well amid the Mark Levin radio show. Perhaps he will tell the audience how much advertising money he takes from political campaigns? Or more specifically entities with a vested interest in political campaigns?

Think he’ll fess up now that he’s busted?

Nah, me neither.

While PBS is certainly biased towards the left, which is interesting because the bulk of their money comes from conservative donors, the debates had a certain amount of professionalism to them where as the Fox News debates have been nothing short of a circus, if not an outright freak show. I don't blame Donald or anyone else for walking away from that hot mess. Megan Kelley seems to think it's all about her, like she's the one running for office.

I don't like that Trump does huge retribution attacks on anyone who crosses him. Kelly asked some tough questions, but they were not out of line. She was actually quoting some of his remarks about/to women. Since Hillary's platform includes women's rights in a big way, Trump will face those issues again. Better that he answer rather than taking a revenge attitude.

I remember the League of Women Voters as running the debates and choosing moderators so I looked it up and they withdrew after 1988 because "... the demands of the two campaign organizations would perpetrate a fraud on the American voter."

As far as I'm concerned it's went way past the point of any sanity a loooong time ago

Face it, the whole thing has been/continues to be controlled by the party tribal elites in cahoots with the major press outlets to try to position their tribes choice for high honcho & potentate

The h*ll with a true debate, it's become totally about the Mass Marketing of each tribes PTB's chosen contender(s) to their generally illiterate targets
... they have nothing to do with trying to identify the "best", only in selling the chosen one(s)

It'll be interesting to see the results from Trumps breaking the mold. If Fox loses tons and their debate tanks and Trump doesn't get burnt it might just change the playing field.
