WaPo you got to be kidding...

I would have an easier time believing the Alien invasion articles on the checkout stand.

The letter or non letter to me smell’s like an O admin true believer in the Pentagon probably in communication office going all Rogue to be a hero to their comrades in the Deep State. Remember the Progressive admin’s have been cleaning out war fighters for Woke Creatin’s to make the military in their image to attack all you real enemies living in fly-over country clinging to stuff they don’t like.

What they can’t control they try to destroy from within and outside. Catholic church, Rule of Law, Methodist, Boy Scout’s, contact masculine sports and the ultimate prize US military.

Things like that don't get out unless they want someone to know.

Probably more of a warning to Iran than anything.
speaking of which all the flights and news of equipment/ manpower being publicized the last couple of days has to be a good pys op on the Iranians .. for all we know the planes could be empty (I doubt that) but we are making sure they know we have/ will have a superior fighting force in theater for any response we need. Like mentioned here before when things go hot the transponders will go off but they are doing everything to let them what is headed their way now.

Man, you could hear a pin drop in here. So, I'll liven it up a touch.

The morning briefing at Langley must have been held in an auditorium. So many choppers shuffling there and DC and back and forth it wasn't funny. DC proper is on lockdown, even the facility that manages TriCare was squeaky tight. And the local news is still reporting about the uptick in security at local bases. Duh, that's pretty obvious.
I think within the next 2 hours the window opens for Iran to start their retaliation. DC clearly thinks it's going to happen, and locally.
There are no Coast Guard Dauphins (HH-65 choppers) running low speed intercepts in the DC ADIZ (air defense identification zone). Think it's all being handled by the F-16's flying CAPs (CAP-combat air patrols) over the DC area. Haven't seen them around.
Even the marine corps museum at Quantico is requiring ID for entry.

Alfaman, what’s the force protection level at the actual bases (I.e. Quantico)? Used to live near there- glad I’m in God’s country now.

Does anyone know of a free global incident map that tells you of all the incidents that happen!

They are birdy on something.

I didn't know that DHS was using them.

I could see our southern border being shut down if hostilities erupt.

Or at least massive searches of commercial vehicles entering the country that would result in traffic coming to a near standstill.

On the letter.

First to clarify since it's been brought up again on multiple responses. I personally didn't have a problem with the date on the letter, I was reporting what was being commented on back and forth on Twitter when people were arguing about authenticity. Some of the discussion focused on the date and whether that format would be used. I didn't have an opinion either way, it looked fine to me.

Now on to the 'mistakenly sent' draft letter.

I see these possibilities:

1. Incompetency. I really hope not. Not when we are so close to action. Keep in mind - the letter was written even if it wasn't meant to be sent. Why is anyone in the military even drafting a letter saying we are withdrawing if the Pres and Secy of Defense has not given such an order and in fact has been saying the exact opposite? That's a letter than should never have been drafted, or put to paper in the first place.

2. Someone trying to make the Pentagon look bad sent the draft to Iraq knowing it as only a draft and was not meant to be sent or worse yet, faked a draft letter and sent it. If it was faked too, I don't think anyone will admit that but it could explain why such an ill conceived letter was drafted in the first place if we have no intention of leaving.

3. Someone trying to sow deliberate confusion - I really don't think so but I'll leave it since it's been posted here a few times.

4. Someone who has their own agenda and wants the troops to leave drafted and sent the letter to start something moving. This is a variation of #2, in #2 it was pure malice, in this situation the person is agenda driven and thinks they were doing the right thing.

5. And the hollywood movie possibility which I'm adding because I like it and I wish our military was as cunning as what we see in some movies/novels: they needed to get something or someone very important out of the Green Zone and didn't want anyone interfering with the helicopters. So they sent the unsigned letter to their counterpart in Baghdad to insure they'd stand down thinking that the US was withdrawing. Once the 'package' landed safely outside Iraq, they took back the letter and said it was all a mistake. I really doubt this is what happened, but if that is what happened, good on them.

naw, I only get pissed when Americans do it here on home soil.

Those are the guys who are supposed to be our allies in Iraq. You know, the ones our boys are getting shot over? They have more loyalty to their damned caliphate than they do to us, that is for sure.

I hope the pictures of those "military personnel" are being cataloged. They should not be allowed anywhere near our bases, military or the embassy.

FOX news is currently covering the live pictures, same as in the link above, of the funeral.

And dropped them as soon as I hit "save."
