Calling All Christians -- What will you do if Kerry is Elected?

Now I am a Christian that calls em like I see them. I voted for Bush but don't care for the fruit that fell from the tree, it's bitter. I didn't vote for Clinton but I didn't vote for Daddy in 92 because he proved himself a liar. Now I won't vote for Kerry and I won't vote for Bush. Im going to vote absentee and write in someone if there isn't a suitable 3rd party candidate on the ballot.

Now if Kerry is elected, will you Christians accept the content of Romans 13 and Psalm 75? Will you give him a chance to do the right thing or will you malign him while he is in office in the same way you are maligning him now? I see a number of people that believe Kerry is no more than human garbage. In the event that he is elected, will you change your tune and accept that God put him in his place and reserve judgement until he acts?

Will you? If not, why not and if not, what will you be doing?

Maybe it will take Kerry being elected to get Christians to wake up and see that politics isn't going to serve or save them.

wrs....

As a CHRISTian myself, I don't, and never have, believed "politics" will save anyone or anything. There is only ONE who can do that, and HE is not on Earth. "Politics" and "political opinion" are just that....an opinion about something that is "of the world". Most Christians have little or no faith in those things. We know that "all things of the world will fade away". An expression of a political opinion is merely an attempt to have God delay what is already coming....most CHRISTians know this, and actually will welcome it.....
The fear among most is that "we" will suffer here in our mortal bodies before the "end times", which are already in their middle labor.
Who "wins" the election will really change very little in my daily life. I will still praise my Savior and sing "His song".....In my opinion, if kerry wins, we will just be one step closer to that "end time". Will I continue to criticize him.....when he does something that is not IMO appropriate, or promoting the good of our nation, or God's plan (as I see it), yes I will, just as I criticize any other president, and have in the past, for the same reason. No one "man" can ever follow God's plan fully, because we are currently "in the world". We are, however, supposed to live as though we are NOT "of this world".....a HARD and IMPOSSIBLE task for ANY "man". That is why we have forgiveness and grace.

Theophilus

Theophilus
Good question, wrs!

Yep, I would pray for him. He too is a person for whom the Savior died. When I listen to my heart, I know that when I talk about someone more than I pray for them, I have talked too much.

Anyway, the first year of a president, with a short honeymoorn, and a break here and there, are often pretty good years. Unfortunately, things are developing so fast in our society, hold on to your hats... no matter who is elected. It will be a bumpy ride!
