Possibly literally true, I just made a cup of tea, I'm not sleepy anymore...it is now 11:40 UCT (Ireland/London) so probably around 2:40 am or so (I'm not exactly sure) in Ukraine (or 3:40) Moscow is even a bit later.

I have a nasty feeling that while there probably are factions in the Biden "Handlers" that want a war of some kind, what happened tonight was a case of unintended consequences.

My hunch is that Biden was "allowed" to give a long press conference in the hope on the part of some of his handlers that he would show just how far into decline he really was and use that for ammo a few weeks from now when they decided to try to remove him.

There were also probably some people who honestly thought Biden could pull it off (probably outer and not inner circle) which may even have been the people dragged into writing the questions and the answers.

What I don't think even the "War Party" foresaw was that Biden would just go "off message" and start saying things he had almost certainly heard in White House Briefings and Planning Sessions. Things meant to be totally private unless or until they actually took place and they would be "spun" however they were "spun."

So I think this was partly a case of the unintended consequences of putting someone who is in a cognitive decline up on stage and hoping they will either give a good performance or that it will be so bad you have an excuse to start the removal process.

What I think no one expected was that he would blurt out something that could bring on a potential war several days or weeks early, and also basically admit the Administration plans to throw Ukraine under the bus. When all day they had been hyping gorilla warfare, the brave resistance fighters, the aid and weapons the US was sending blah, blah blah.

Biden just destroyed all that and worse, he exposed cracks (per the BBC) in the NATO alliance itself - a lot of people are going to have very long nights tonight. I'm not saying Putin will invade in the morning, but I suspect this does up a lot of timetables.

He all but gave Putin permission to "invade" as long as it was a "little bit" (or tip) and he implied it again when called to the carpet on it.

There are going to be a lot of sleepless nights in the US Pentangle, Puzzle Palace, State Department, Military HQs in the US and all over Europe, and of course in Ukraine itself. Moscow is now trying to "read the TV leaves," Putin almost certainly stayed up to watch this and I'll bet his advisors have just been called in for a 2 am briefing and brainstorming session.

While this whole thing was kind of a mess, on this one topic, history MAY have been changed - I am not saying it will be changed but it might be.

I can not believe what I just spent two hours watching. Train wreck doesn't even begin to describe this total mongolian cluster fug of a news conference. He may have, oh hell, probably HAS condemned Ukraine to an all out invasion by his stupidity. Does this fool or his handlers, not realize that every word that biden says is sliced and diced and looked at from several different directions at once by these dictators. It reminds me of that american ambassador in kuwait who pretty much gave the impression to saddam that if he moved on kuwait, we'd not really care.

and look what happened there. To me, this is the same thing. Putin knows that biden isn't going to do a damn thing other than talk tough.

For a dumb son of a biotch who spent 49 years in politics? He doesn't know Jack shite about how the world works. He thinks it is all one big grift and all he wants is his 10 percent.

when there is a smoking hole in the ground where kiev used to be, I bet there will be a sign with joes picture on it saying

The point of the msn clip is to get confirmation of what talking points they were scheduled to deliver, so that we can retro-engineer where they "thought" they were and what they "thought" they needed to do.

As far as the meat puppet president, I do not for one moment believe Putin is so naive or ill informed as to think biden matters one whit.. it's whomever is pulling his strings, and whatever their ultimate goal is that is important
