Anyone have any idea where (or if) he's posting these days?

I've read all of his work I can find but he seems to have dropped off the web -- or my search skills are WAY poor!

Any current links or thoughts appreciated.

I remember an Alan T Hagan from the alt news groups way back in the day. He had very good advice back then. I would pay attention to if was to thing he post these days. He did the Food storage FAQ.

Alan was from down around Gainesville. Last I knew he was posting on This Blue Marble.
Thanks, I'll check that out. I got the impression he was sort of done w/ creating his parables but one can always hope.

To everyone else who responded & tried to help, Thank You.

IIRC didn't his daughter end up with an illness- that may have taken him off line and to focus on his personal life...
just a guess, though. Certainly a missed voice and wealth of info & experience that is notably lacking

This story dates back to when TB2K was still on EZBoard and is close to my earliest work of fiction. It's a pretty much straight forward full-scale nuclear war a la the Cold War between the United States and Russia as seen from the view point of the Hagan family at their home in North/Central Florida and the surrounding community.

This is a "come as you are" multi-author invasion story thread by a good many of the TB2K posters of the time. Started out rather vaguely and went all over the place. Some very good writing in this one.

The original post is a fictional time-line of events occurring as the flow of Middle Eastern oil runs out that was written by a non-TB2K writer and posted to the board by one of our energy supply posters Flavius Aetius. The time line appealed to me so I wrote one of my own to go with it and it sort of took off from there as others posted their own contributions.

I didn't know This Blue Marble was around anymore.

They made it so that unless you are a member and signed in you can't view anything. I think it has killed off a lot of interest in the forum and they've become a bit of an echo chamber. Each to their own.

day late

money? whats that?
I know Alan is from my neck of the woods. (Gainesville, Fla.) I know because somebody left the "back door" open in the staff members only section of the board many years ago that he wanted me banned because of my friendship with a person who may not be named. Beyond that, I can't say.

Well I think its official; he's stopped posting fictional work.

I followed ALL the link & suggested sites (thanks to all who made those suggestions) but found nothing new.

Too bad for us but likely less stress for him.

Stay healthy folks and thank you.

I copied the PDF on food storage. I have only read the first 10 pages but it looks very good.
It is the best source of information on food storage that I have ever seen. A compilation of many sources and years of effort to put it together and periodically revise it with up to date info.

Yeah got all those but, I'm greedy (sorry, all my mom's lessons didn't fully take) and was hoping for more. Good to know there probably aren't any more.
Damn!!

Alan's food FAQ as a resource is second to NONE! Not even an older Ball Blue Book rivals his stuff.

He essentially wrote the web based Bible for food storage. The only publication that MIGHT have challenged his stuff for primacy was an older book "Putting Food By"

Is there a link to this work anywhere?

I have this book and highly recommend it. The ultimate prepper's "bible" on food storage.

The Putting Food By book (which is what I was referring to) should be available used online in hard copy... my most recent copy is a 20 year old paperback.
